Just when the four friends think they've got their lives on an even keel, everything is thrown into doubt and their friendship is tested like never before.
Kemi is so preoccupied with figuring out her own path, she doesn't realise that they're all struggling with problems of their own.
With so much turmoil in her life, can Laura find a way to be with Maddie without compromising her own happiness?
Will the friends resolve their differences and find their Ms Right?
While Jade Winters has been putting words together since she was a child, it wasn’t until 2010 that she became a serious writer. Today, as a full-time author, she has published four novels in the lesbian fiction genre as well as several short stories. Jade was born and educated in London where she studied journalism for three years at a London University. She is the youngest of 6 children born to a Nigerian father and English mother and blames her love of spicy food on her African heritage. Jade now makes her home in Dorset in the South of England with her partner and furry companions Zorro, Buttons and Zeus.
Hadn't read any other books in the series so I approached this with some trepidation. My fears were unfounded as Maddie, Laura, Kemi and Chloe quickly had me immersed in their lives. There's angst, drama, sex, love and secondary characters that add to the plot. Ms. Winters' main characters each with strengths and flaws, grow and are stronger in friendship and love in a storyline reflecting life with bumps along the way. True friendships thrive even when there are ups and downs. I recommend with 4.5 stars - wish it was longer. I rec'd an ARC from the author and this is a voluntary, un-biased review.
Would it be cheeky to ask for a fourth instalment, in the Looking for Ms Right collection?! I’ve been waiting for the third edition, the wait was certainly worth it!! Having read everything by Jade Winters, The Chase did not disappoint at all. I do recommend reading them in order, so your not completely lost when reading this.
The Chase picks up from Torn (Looking For Ms Right Book 2), as Kemi, Laura, Maddie and Chloe continue navigating through friendships, love, jealousy, heartbreak and forgiveness. The Chase is definitely a page turner, Jade Winters leaves you wanting to know what’s going to happen next as plots and twists are revealed!
I finished this book in one read. I loved the caracters and the energie between the four women. Their journey to finally realize that what's most importend, their friendship. I found it a bit hard to believe that Laura would make the same mistake in moving in with yet another manipulating person after her struggle to leave Mick. But luckely she realized her mistake soon. I would have loved to read more about the growing relationship of Chloe and Piper.. Overall, this is a really nice book.

I think my experience with this book greatly suffered because I have not read the previous two of the series. It was difficult to get immersed into the stories of the already well established characters so, for me personally, the book was slow to start. Later the story started to take off and get quite exciting......and then, the end! It seemed to run out of steam just as I was getting into it. I was given an advance review copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.
The Fabulous Four are still on their paths but it’s not looking good. Maddie and Laura are now distant. Maddie is considering a job in the US. Laura is taking a college course trying to get Mick to sign the divorce. Chloe is having a break from them all. Will they split are can they return to their deep abiding relationship.?
I really enjoyed the characters. I haven’t read the previous books so it was like dropping in on a story in progress, but you can still figure it out. Now I have to go back to the beginning of the series because I want to know how it all began.
