Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, right?
So why am I left in tears without a husband?
Luna Smith was set to be married to who she thought was her dream guy but life doesn’t always work out how you want it. Does it?
When her friends convince her to go to Hawaii on what was meant to be her honeymoon, instead making it a girls holiday. She never would of imagined having a unwanted tag along, a bodyguard that her father insisted she take with her.
Dark, brooding and devilishly handsome Taron Sloane is everything she didn't want.
Taron was hired to do a job, to keep Luna safe at all times but he never would of thought the little spitfire would keep him on his toes and give him a run for his money.
Luna is sure she's back on the path of where she wants to be when her life gets turned upside down again.
Can Taron and Luna fight this unwanted chemistry crackling between them? Or are the unwanted demons too much for them to battle.

The day Luna was to be married to Josh, her childhood sweetheart, he never showed up as the groom to be. He realised he wasn’t ready to settle down and panicked. Luna went to her single-moon with her best friends, among them with Taron, the gorgeous bodyguard her father had just hired to watch her. There was great chemistry and attraction between them that didn’t go unnoticed.
So, as they were spending their time in Hawai, 34% of the story, not only they slept together twice but also without discussing of using any protection. In the meantime, Luna still had feelings for Josh - she missed him but also was mad at him, and Taron was trying to get over his girlfriend who had passed away eight years ago and hadn’t dated since.
I dnf it at 41%, all these messed up complications and drama are a “No, thank you” for me.
I loved Luna & Taron. They are relationship goals right there. Luna had a really rubbish time at the beginning of the story, but like the bad a$$ she is, she picked herself up & showed the world how awesome she was.
As for Taron, he stole my heart from the beginning. I love a quiet brooding alpha & Taron didn’t disappoint. I’d go swimming with the turtles any day with him!
There were elements of suspense in here too, which I absolutely love. It kept me turning the pages right into the night.
I was so excited for Unwanted, having loved Ashlee’s previous books, I had high hopes for this one, and those hopes were answered.
Here we have Luna, a girl who has had her heart broken on her wedding day. All she wanted was to have her HEA, but they don’t always work out the way in which you planned. Enter Taron. Oh boy, Taron certainly had his moments. He has Luna pegged for a typical spoiled rich girl, until he gets to know her. These two have some squabbles, they drive each other nuts, but that only fuels the passion between the two of them. Not only do we get to see both of them trying to deal with their emotions, but we also have Josh, the guy that left Luna on her wedding day, rearing his head once again to try and put a major spanner in the works. I loved the pacing of the book and the twist with Josh. And the last chapter, almost broke my damn heart. So honest and heartfelt. Nothing less than 5 stars for Ashlee Rose’s, Unwanted.
the guy says one sentence and he becomes annoying and egoistic.. like WHY? and then they r too sweet to each other.. no banter, no chemistry, just plain. DNFed at 30%
This book was so so soooo bland I cannot even pinpoint only one flaw. The writing is idk what but I found it tedious reading about the female protagonist describing her big green eyes and long blonde hair, her friend Brooke's beautiful red mane and the gorgeous Vanessa. It was so tiring to see her repeatedly lose herself in Taron's beautiful brown eyes. This book was a no no from me.
Taron and Luna! I loved this book so much! Luna, was fiesty, strong minded and she gets alot of stuff chucked her way. She loses her s**t at the beginning but who could blame her? She got left on her wedding day. You've got to give the girl she's finding herself again, after all this is what it's all about. Her relationship with Taron doesn't start out with hearts and flowers, he gets on her last nerve, he pushes her buttons but he's there for her when she needs it most. Taron, he was amazing, i loved his banter, he's had his own fair share of horrible cards handed to him but Luna was everything he didn't know he was missing. Wasn't so sure on her friends all the time but they do love her. They rally around her when she needs them. Ashlee Rose does amazing with her first Standalone away from Carter and Freya!
This book may be called Unwanted, but is it one you’ll want in your library—the tension between the characters, the invigorating plot, and the overall fantastic writing by Ashlee Rose. Luna's heart was broken by the man she was supposed to get married to, finds herself in Hawaii, and meets Taron. They have their moments of intense emotions, ranging from passion to mutual irritation, but at the end of the day, there is just something they seem to need in one another. I loved the book and highly recommended it.
Luna Smith was dumped at the alter and decides to take her honeymoon with her girlfriends instead of wallowing in self pity. Her father wants her to have a bodyguard though for the trip and hires Taron Sloane. Luna immediately finds herself questioning the chemistry with Taron, they begin to find that they cannot deny and they decide to build upon that, but there is some information that is being hidden from Luna will she be able to keep her trust with Taron or will he be another who betrays her trust?
This was incredibly angsty. The chemistry between Luna and Taron is spot on and the story had points that was entertaining. That being said I can't say I liked Luna's friends and had a few head scratching moments in the story for me.
WTF!!! Why did I just read? Was it written by a twelvy? By far- million miles away from anything else it was the most fucked up, dumbest story I waisted my time on. In short, in a span of a week the h was dumped at the altar, went to Hawaii and fell in love came back home, her father paid the guy to leave her so the first guy could make a comeback with a shit story and force her to marry him. Slept with him as well and...... I don’t care. I deleted the book.
So I will start by saying I haven't read in ages. So for a book to grab me after a long break from reading you know it's going to be good. After the first few chapters I was hooked. Taron, oh Taron!! He had his hands full with Luna's sass, but oh boy did he kept her in check. This book flowed, the story kept me gripped so much that I really didn't want to put it down. Well done ashlee!! Loved it!!
⚜Rate: ★★★★✩
English: "Unwanted" by Ashlee Rose is a new romance novel, stand-alone.
Luna Smith, 25, has just been dumped on her wedding day, and sad but not heartbroken, she decides she's not going to miss her honeymoon for anything in the world and embarks on a trip to Hawaii with her best friends. Everything as she had planned, except that her father will assign her a bodyguard, Taron Sloane, 35, who won't take his eyes off her.
Mainly it's a novel that at first, you think the main character has no worse way to start. So I was super upset because of how hard it must be to be in that situation. Luna doesn't show herself to be a relapse except in exceptional moments, and in my opinion, she was great at leaving everything behind and having fun with her friends.
Taron has a story behind him and hides a lot behind what he shows, so he makes you fall in love with the character who is there at all times to protect her, even if for Luna, it is at first as if they gave her a babysitter. There was something about him that I couldn't figure out, but that attracted me. I don't know if it was the protection, the respect, or how affectionate he was with Luna.
Critical moments that make the relationship impossible, plus other romantics make a book you don't want to stop reading. I was surprised by the characters who appeared, but who are very loved by me, giving me a pleasant surprise.
Therefore, it's another book that shows the author's affection for old characters and a facility at writing a great story.
4.5 stars Unwanted is my first read by Ashlee Rose and after seeing the blurb I couldn’t wait to start.
Luna is all ready to walk down the aisle when life throws her a curveball and she unexpectedly finds herself single when the groom has a change of heart. What’s a girl to do when you’ve got a honeymoon booked and no groom to go with you? You take your friends with you! Not going to lie, it makes sense to me. Luna isn’t expecting her dad to put his foot down though and insist that she takes a body guard with her. Nor is she expecting him to be so hot! The sparks fly from the start between her and Taron but her dad wins and Taron ends up crashing her honeymoon/ girls holiday.
Taron thinks he’s got Luna all worked out. He’s made his mind up about her before even setting eyes on her and he’s not expecting her to be the spitfire she is. She has no problems voicing her thoughts to him and she’s not the typical spoiled rich girl he (and I) was expecting. I loved the chemistry between these two. They both seem to enjoy driving the other nuts, the banter and bickering between them was great and I loved how their ‘relationship’ grows and changes. They’ve both been badly hurt in the past but the more time they spend together the harder it is to ignore the sparks between them. I admit I have a major soft spot for Taron. He’s everything I love in a fictional man. He’s broody, blows hot and cold, he can be closed off, he’s possessive, hot, and he’s surprisingly thoughtful and sweet. What’s not to love about him?
This was a really enjoyable read. Luna and Taron are really easy to like (her friends not so much), the chemistry between them is perfect, there’s some twists that caught me by surprise and there were times my heart aches for these characters. This may be my first read from Ms Rose but it won’t be my last.
I have read all of Ashlee’s books so when she said she was working on another book but that it was nothing to do with her first alpha and leading lady I was “ohhh” And then she said it was a stand-alone I was hooked before I Finished the blurb. Well what can I say Ashlee has out done herself once again. Taron and Luna are a huge ball of sparks so much so you can feel them all over the pages. Luna is nothing like the stereotype, young lady who lives off daddy. She is so feisty and strong in her own right. Where as Taron is all kinds of hotness and brooding all rolled up into a alpha male who makes you feel weak at the knees. This book is well written and keeps you turning the page no matter if you had plans to stop at the next chapter. Luna and Taron highly charged relationship is not so straight forward and as you go through their journey with them Ashlee dose an amazing job of making you feel your right there with them. I highly recommend you picking this book up but don’t make plans to put it dow. It’s that good of a read you will struggle to put it down. And once you have read this standalone, take a look at Ashlee’s other books. The entwined series is another master peace. Where you will meet Carter and Freya. Happy reading and if you love what you read follow Ashlee on all media platforms. Congratulations Ashlee yet another awesome book.
I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review.
This is the first book I have read by Ashlee Rose and i definitely will be back for more.
Great storyline, it flowed beautifully and very easy to read. The book had great characters and only a couple I wanted to punch haha, but that just means Ashlee did her job 😂
I loved Luna and Taron, they had their sticky moments where she hated him and he tried to not like her. Fortunately for them the pair had chemistry and could not stay away from each other!! As we went further through the book that chemistry sizzled even more and we certainly saw lots of steamy hot sex!
Luna was a fiery 25 year old that got what she wanted, not by being spoiled (even though they a rich family) but by going for what she wanted and not taking no for an answer. Taron was definitely no match for her, he did not stand a chance!!
Taron did not have an easy childhood, or an easy adulthood so far!! He closed himself off, there was no way he was ever going to fall for anyone ever again .... he had obviously never met Luna 🥰
This book threw us a good few twists, it definitely keeps you on your toes wanting more and it did not disappoint in the slightest.
This would be a great beach read, one you can just relax for a few hours on a sun lounger and get lost in this great story.
Thank you so much for this book, I already have my next Ashlee Rose book picked out.
After reading Ashlee's previous books I was really looking forward to reading Unwanted and it most certainly delivered. I loved the story of Taron and Luna, Ashlee has once again wrote a wonderful story with fantastic characters. You can't help but feel for Luna, as she's left broken hearted on her wedding day and then as Taron enters her world, blowing hot and cold with our poor girl. Early on I found myself wanting to reach into the pages and shake some sense into Taron, as it felt like he really prejudged Luna and gave her so many mixed signals, however as more of his backstory is revealed we learn just why he has behaved this way. I also loved that we got to experience Taron's POV as well as Luna's, as I felt this really meant I could get into his head and how he was feeling. Dual POV is my absolute favourite in books, as I love to understand the feelings both of the lead characters. No spoilers, but there's also a cracking twist! Thank you for a fantastic book, Ashlee, 5 stars.
So once again Ashlee has managed to smash it! I really enjoyed her other series entwined to you, so I was supper excited about Unwanted. First of let’s start with the cover! Those guys are hot as hell and the cover girl is completely the vibes I was getting for Luna. Unwanted is pacers full of details from the way the characters look to the houses they live in. With I thinks important in a book, I love when I can picture the story.
Straight from the first chapter you figure this book is going to be a whirlwind. Launa gets stood up on her wedding day and ends up with her heart broken and feeling embarrassed questions what happened. Her friends manage to Persuade her to use her honey moon in Hawaii where she happens to meet Taron our hot as hell alpha. I love me a stubborn man and Taron delivers. He’s stuck between what he wants and what he feels and what he thinks. Together these guys are perfect once they get back and forth out the way. Uh and then we have josh the guy who stood Luna up on there wedding day popping up causing waves. So yeah all in all I thoroughly enjoyed Unwanted. And would recommend to anyone with a quite afternoon and in the mood for some feels!
Unwanted by Ashlee Rose was a thoroughly enjoyable read! Full of insta-love, drama and steam, you can not go wrong with this book.
I loved the chemistry between Taron and Luna. I enjoyed how protective they were over each other, I loved how Luna gave as much as she got and I loved Taron's sense of humour. They also had a layer of vulnerability shown and it was sweet to see.
The steam in this read did not disappoint. I loved how passionate they were for one another, and the tension and angst between them made it all the hotter. I loved it!
This book is a drama city! There were some plot twists that I wasn't expecting at all, and I was rooting for Taron and Luna till the very end!
And there was Brooke... And well, she's an acquired taste.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was entertaining with plenty of steam and drama, and also plenty of love! Great read!
This is the first book that I have read by this Author and I was pleasantly surprised!
Luna's heart is shattered on the day of her wedding as her fiancé has a change of heart. She is left with a paid honeymoon in Hawai and no husband.
Her father is insistent on her having a bodyguard after he received tips that she was in danger. The bodyguard just happens to be drop dead gorgeous! He is hot and cold, one minute he's sweet and caring, the next minute he is a total jerk.
The book follows the growing relationship between the two as Luna brings her friends to the honeymoon that she was suppose to have with her new husband.
I devoured this in 2 days. It has everything- drama, passion and friendship. It's a perfect, easy book to read and is full of steamy scenes!
AMAZING! I fell in love with this story from the first chapter! Taron and Luna's story was so well written! I love a feisty heroine and Luna was perfect! Taron was so swoon-worthy! Whew! LOVED! FIVE STARS!!!
Luna went through what I think is every bride-to-be’s nightmare. To be left with no explanation, humiliated in front of her friends and family, and without the person she was supposed to have as her number one supporter would be one of if not THE WORST feeling in the world—and she went through that and more. She is so strong and fierce. I loved her energy and it resonated with me throughout the book. She was in the worst situation and tried to make the best of it and heal.
Taron was...EVERYTHING. His vibe was it for me and even when he was being the biggest jerk, he very much cared for Luna. They are definitely made for each other. They both understand pain a little too well and try their best to guard their hearts and protect themselves from being hurt again. They worked so well together and their chemistry was off the charts!
They both were great characters and I enjoyed their personalities and how they were with each other. I wasn’t a fan of Brooke and I was totally on Taron’s side when he told Luna to not let her talk to her like that—yes! Individually, they were great. Together, they were even better. The story line lost me a couple times because it felt like their only connection was sex, BUT even Luna mentions that so I was like ok ok. Overall, great book but I did want a little more from it. I don’t know what, but it was missing something.
This was my second read by Ashlee Rose and I really enjoyed it. I am planning on starting Carter and Freya’s books next.
Luna and Taron had a pull to each other immediately, it was kind of weird for me and the denial coming from Taron could’ve been more explored and more dramatic, but this is me and my romance taste. In general, I love them, such a cute love store and a powerful and strong love.
Luna and Taron!!!! Really enjoyed their story she got her sole mate in the end, sad she had to go through everything to get there.. Well done one again Ashlee xo
I was so excited when Ashlee Rose mentioned she a new book coming out . Unwanted is such an enjoyable read . It has everything you need drama, a brooding sexy man , and some hot sexy scenes. I enjoyed taron and lunas story , their chemistry was on point from beginning to end . A must read. 🙌🏻🍾
Ashlee Rose , boy you've gone and done it again ! I thought Freya and Carter were amazing but boy Taron and Luna are breathtaking too and the story of these twos love and heartbreak and the hardships they face to be together is just got wrenching and brilliant . I was encaptured from the start and just couldnt put it down , I felt every emotion the characters felt and was willing them to be together . Keep writing , your books are amazing ❤
I loved this beautiful story of two broken souls finding each other. Both characters have broken hearts and are afraid to take that leap and try again until they meet and the sparks fly. The chemistry between these two is electric. This is an emotional read with a touch of intrigue. I loved this book. This a first read by this author but will not be the last. I highly recommend this book.
