This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the 9th book in the Amish Country Justice series. I have not read the other books in this series, but I do not think that hurt my enjoyment of this book. I love the characters in this book, but I really loved the story line. I did find some of the suspense parts I know where it was going, and they felt more action then suspense. I really enjoyed the Amish parts of this book as well, but I wish the English character show that she missed some of the English stuff while being in the Amish houses. The romance was slow and cute second chance.
Dana R. Lynn writes a good suspense book. They usually are unpredictable, heart in mouth edge of seat reading and page turners. I’m never bored with any books by this author. Amish man Luke Beiler had an accident five years ago. After that accident he woke up thinking he was 17 but he was actually 22. He had lost five years of his life and he still couldn’t remember anything about those lost years in between 17 and 22. Then he started sensing someone he knew from somewhere in his past needed him. He had visions of a woman named Jennie with long dark hair. Jennie was in trouble and she needed him. The only Jennie that Luke knew was a girl that used to work a mission with him and his Uncle in another town, building houses for the needy. He hadn’t seen Jennie in years but somehow he knew she was in trouble and he had to help her. He even knew how and where to find her but couldn’t understand why he knew these things. All he knew was that he had to get to her and help her. He was driven to find her and fulfill this purpose he was drawn too. What lay ahead of him he didn’t know but he had to go to Jennie’s aid and help her. I recommend this book to readers of suspense books, Love Inspired books and fans of the author. This book is part of a series but it can be read as a Stand-alone. I borrowed a copy of this book from the Amazon Prime Members library. A review was not requested. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Fast paced engaging storytelling that reaches and grabs you from the very beginning.
Reunited with the husband that she thought was dead, Jennie Beiler is shocked when Luke shows up at her door offering protection from her attacker.
I enjoyed the unique premise of this story, and how it all came together with it's consistently great pacing and great characters. LJ is so adorable and I love how he quickly adapts to everything going on, taking it as it comes, and welcoming Luke into his life.
This book has all the right things going for it, with a original plot, a great balance of heartwarming and action packed, and fantastic characters. I loved watching Jennie and Luke get to know each other again, as well as how Luke is protective and devoted to keeping his newfound family safe. This was a satisfying read, heartwarming, suspenseful, and sweet. Definitely recommend!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Danger, courage and Faith is throughout this novel. I finished this book in one afternoon because of the wonderful characters and awesome plot this amazing author has written. I liked the many challenges that Luke, Jennie and LJ were presented with. The twists and turns had me turning the pages and before I knew it, it was over! LJ is a sweet little boy and he's managed to win my heart.. I liked how he managed to adjust to any situation that came along. I found myself rooting for him and his parents. I also found myself shouting at them too. Luke and Jennie were perfect examples of when we should put God first in our lives. I know it don't always happen like that because we are human after all and God expects that. I'm glad He's a loving God. For that I'm ever so grateful. I recommend this book. My thanks to Just Reads Tours. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
What a thoroughly satisfying romantic suspense! This book had it all: danger from the very beginning of the book that just wouldn't let up, a possible second chance with a reunited love, a surprise son, and the quiet of the Amish countryside mixed with a terrible threat. These villains were determined to wreak havoc in order to get their hands on Jennie.
I really loved the way Luke's mind guided him to protect Jennie before he even realized who she was and how important she was to him. Their connection was wonderful, even when Luke didn't remember her.
The great chemistry between these two characters and the amazing things they had to survive made this a book that kept me eagerly turning the pages. And I loved the epilogue so much! This was the first book that I have read by this author and I look forward to reading more of her books.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
This review will post on my blog on December 8, 2020.
This was a gripping combination of suspense and a second chance romance. Jennie receives a horrifying shock when she finds out that the stepfather who raped and attempted to kill her escaped from prison. She vividly recalls his promise to get even with her if he gets the chance. She would be dead if she weren't rescued by Luke Beiler, the man she later fell in love with and married. Unfortunately, he died in an explosion five years earlier before he knew about their son. When she's attacked inside her apartment, she is stunned when Luke comes to her rescue again.
Five years earlier, Luke woke up in a ditch, thinking he was seventeen and on his rumspringa. He was shocked when he returned to his parents' home to find out he was twenty-two and had left the Amish community. Luke had no memory of where he'd been and what he'd done since then. He remained with his family and joined the Amish church. But when he caught part of a news program talking about an escaped prisoner, he knew who it was and that there was someone he had to warn. He remembered Jennie from when they were teens, so he and his brother went to find her. They arrived just in time to save her again.
I loved how Luke's subconscious led him to Jennie, even though he didn't remember their life together. He was shocked to learn of their marriage and their son, but there was no way he would leave them unprotected once he did. Both Luke and Jennie were wary of each other, Luke because he doesn't remember, and Jennie because she does. Luke and Jennie are thrown together under extreme circumstances, and as they get to know each other again, they discover that their love is as strong as ever. But Luke is an Amish man now, and Jennie is Englisch, making it impossible for them to be together. I wasn't surprised by the solution, but it didn't come easily. Luke allows his fears to throw up roadblocks, even after Jennie makes a surprising offer. I loved his brother's reaction to what Luke did and the kick in the pants Raymond provided. I loved Luke's big moment at the end and the decisions they made for their future. The epilogue was a great peek at that future.
The suspense was intense and nearly non-stop from beginning to end. Jennie's stepfather's quest for vengeance was terrifying in its determination. From the first attack to the last, it seemed that Luke and Jennie could barely stay one step ahead. Steve appeared to have an infinite number of resources he could call on for help, while Luke and Jennie had few. I loved the scenes with Luke's family, who immediately embraced Jennie and LJ despite their shock. There were multiple twists along the way, but it was the last one that really took me by surprise. The final confrontation had me glued to the pages until it was over.
This Amish Romance Series is so good. Many times your heart is racing as you read these books. They are part of a series but can be read as a stand alone book. I've read both out of order but have now decided that I want to read book one and follow the series from the beginning!
Oh my goodness - Dana R. Lynn - you get me every time - once I start reading I am so caught up in the story and the characters. This tale of suspense is amazing - I love Jennie, Luke and LJ Beiler's story. This is a story of revenge, love and lost love, and Faith. When you start reading plan on a long evening or all day event. I could not stop. Thank you for allowing me to be on the Launch Team and the opportunity for an advance copy.
4 stelle e mezza Solita lettura veloce, ma piena di supense. Ero anche curiosa di capire cosa avrebbero fatto i due protagonisti per cercare di stare insieme e non sono rimasta sorpresa della soluzione.
Jennie Beiler is shocked to find out her dead husband…isn’t dead. She’s even more surprised when he shows up just in time to save her life. Someone from her past has targeted her and her son. They’re now on the run.
Luke Beiler can’t remember what happened to him five years ago, but he’ll do anything to protect the wife and son he didn’t know he had—even if it means hiding his Englisch family in the Amish community.
Can the Amish community keep Luke’s family safe?
Dana R. Lynn does it again with this suspenseful novel, Deadly Amish Reunion. It kept me turning the pages to find out what happens to these loveable characters.
The tension and conflict in this story were well placed. This puts the reader right into the story, holding their breath. The author’s use of sensory is done effectively. It brings the words on the page to life.
The faith aspect is interwoven effectively without sounding preachy.
I give Deadly Amish Reunion five stars. The reader will keep turning the pages to find out how the story ends.

I have read quite a few romantic, suspense books, but I’ve never read an Amish, suspense one. I have to admit that I was a little bit thrown off because while there is crime everywhere, most of the Amish books I’ve read have been quite fluffy. Even though this was a new genre for me, I really enjoyed this book. It’s the first book I’ve read by Ms. Dana R. Lynn, and I will definitely be reading more by her. Deadly Amish Reunion is the ninth book in the Amish Country Justice series. I’m not sure if this is a standalone series, but I have only read this book. And other than a really strong desire to read Aidan’s(Jennie’s brother’s) book, I was not at all confused. Jennie believed that her husband was dead, so she’s shocked when he saves her and their son. Luke has no memories of his Englischer wife, but he’s determined to protect her and his newfound son. It was really sweet and hard to watch Jennie and Luke work things out. They did love each other, but they had no idea how to make it work. I loved how Ms. Lynn showed Luke falling in love with Jennie all over again, and Jennie falling for this older, more mature version of Luke. It was especially adorable because they had their son, L.J, to think about. I loved all of L.J.’s parts in the book. He was such a cute character, and it was sweet to see Luke step up to the plate. And while Luke’s family were understandably shocked, they were immediately open to helping Jennie and L.J. The suspense also kept me guessing until the last minute. There were a lot of different players that I did not at all expect, and there were so many twists and turns in the book. The action never let up until the very end. There are some more mature themes though. Jennie was raped by her stepfather before, but it is not described at all. Also, Jennie sees someone kill another person, and there is quite a bit of shooting at and violence including someone getting beat up. However, the romance side is very clean, and Jennie and Luke really only kiss like twice. All in all just a wonderful, quick read that I would definitely recommend!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
Deadly Amish Reunion is a very thrilling story written by Dana R. Lynn. I have ready many stories by this author and never have been disappointed. The author will grab your attention in this story from the first page. The storyline never stalls out and definitely keeps the reader turning pages. I couldn't put this book down. The characters are very likeable and realistic.
Jennie Beiler believes her husband has been dead for years but when someone breaks into her apartment and tries to strangle her imagine her surprise to who saved her life. Luke Beiler was involved in an accident and when he wakes he believes he is 17 and has lost all memories for the last 5 years. When he is in town and sees an announcement about an escaped prisoner he doesn't know why but he knows the man is evil and then a memory of a young English girl pops into his head and he just knows she is in danger. When Luke's brother hears him mumble the name Jenny the world he knows starts to crack. As he rushes to a town he knew he once lived in he finds Jenny being attack and he jumps into save her life. When Jennie fills in some blanks Luke knows he can't return home with his brother and stays to help protect Jenny. When attack after attack happen Jenny and Luke exhaust places to hide and return to Luke's Amish home. The story really gets thrilling here and secrets are revealed. The author does not disappoint her readers with this action packed thriller.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.
Congratulations to Dana R Lynn for releasing another exciting story for her readers enjoyment.
When Luke sees a news report that a man has escaped from prison, he knew he meant trouble for someone. The trouble is, he's not really sure who this person is since he'd lost his memory five years earlier.
When Luke shows up on Jennie's doorstep, she gets the shock of her life--the husband she thought had died five years earlier is very much alive and has no clue who she is.
I love how this story played out. The author made it so that Luke had impressions about Jennie and his former life even as he struggled to regain his memory. Ms. Lynn did a great job showing Jennie's unwillingness to trust others, as well as, the very valid reasons she has for her mistrust.
The action started early in the story and kept up to the end. Jennie and Luke were forced to depend on each other and Jennie found herself turning to the God who she had always believed had abandoned her. She came to realize that God had always been there for her even in the hard situations she had to live through.
Deadly Amish Reunion is a great story that reminds you that as horrible as people can sometimes be to each other, there are still people out there who are willing to help those in need. We are also reminded that God is with us in every moment of our lives.
I received an advanced reader's copy from the publishers through Just Read Tours; a positive review was not required.
This is a romantic suspense that will keep you up until you’ve read the last word. This beautiful story is interweave with suspense, romance, finding renew faith and peace. Deadly Amish Reunion is a winner by Dana R. Lynn.
Jennie Beiler and her young son, LJ, are on someone’s radar. Levi Beiler is seeing a glimpse of his past. The twists and turns that happen with Levi and Raymond Beiler meeting Jennie unexpectedly made this a compelling suspense. The realistic drama of escaping and discovering who is behind the attacks is fast paced with a unique resolution.
Thank you to the author for a complimentary copy of the book as part of her street team with no obligation to write a positive review. I have expressed my own thoughts.
There was a possibility that the plot setup would be so unbelievable that the story would flop. But skillful writing made it a what-is-going-to-happen-next event after another that never let up until the end.
Luke lost 5 years of his life due to...well, he doesn't know how. He knows he was on Rumspringa but nothing until he regained consciousness.
Talk about evil stepfathers -- Steve is evil on two feet and he is determined to get even. He will use anyone or anything to get even. Goal: make that girl pay and kill her.
I'd love to say more but won't. The story needs to develop while reading.
This is quite a good Amish suspense book. I had a bit of an issue with one scene near the end -- thus the 4.5 stars. I recommend this one.
Was he dead like she believed? Or had something happened to him? And for him, what did he do during those missing years?
When Luke sees someone on the news as an escaped convict he immediately knows that someone is in trouble and he has to save her. He doesn’t know their connection or how he knows this but he just does. After suffering from amnesia for so long he’s used to this feeling that he’s missing something.
Turns out he was missing a lot! Missing a wife that is and a son that he can’t even remember. Well, truthfully he didn’t even know about his son.
Can Luke regain his memories and keep the love of his wife? Is there a way they can be together? They both can’t deny that they’re still in love but he’s Amish and she’s English and that creates maybe even more problems than the person who wants Jennie dead.
I loved this book. It read quickly and kept me reading from the first word to the last. I cannot recommend it enough.

Oh My Gosh. This is one of the best Love Inspired Suspense books that I have every read. I could not turn pages fast enough. This book is part of the Amish Country Justice series - but the books are all stand alones. I have read 2 of the other books in the series and enjoyed them. So, when you start this book - start it when you have a good few hours to read it. You will not want to put it down. Your heart will be pounding throughout the whole book. Main Character, Jennie Beiler thought her husband was dead. She is shocked when Luke shows up on her doorstep. He cannot remember what happened to him, and how he hurt his leg. He knows that he needed to protect Jennie - but does not remember being married to her. He feels that he needs to find her - and can't remember why he knows so much about her. The chemistry between these characters is so sweet. They have to get to know each other all over again. I am sure that was frustrating for Jennie. During the whole getting to know each other again - someone is after Jennie and her son, LJ. Luke knows that he needs to keep her safe. Jennie and her son have been living English. Will bringing them to quiet Amish Country help keep them save. I really thought I had it figured out who was behind it all. I was not right - the author has introduced so many twists and turns throughout the book. Kudos to the author for all the suspense.
I received a copy of this book through JustRead tours - all thoughts are my own.
When Jennie Beiler is saved by the ghost of her departed husband after finding out that the man she put in prison has escaped, and is coming for her, you know you're in for a good read! Full of suspense, and little twists and turns that were sprinkled throughout the book, your focus is not on the who, which is obvious from the beginning, but what is going to befall poor Jennie next, and how the monster is pulling it off, always one step ahead.
I enjoyed the drama and uncertainty of Deadly Amish Reunion, but what I really appreciated was Jennie's character. What she went through was the stuff of nightmares, but she came out of it so grounded, rising above her circumstances, and becoming a great woman. Even through the ordeal in the book, she shows such strength, as does Luke, whose unwavering faith guides him, which is also inspiring.
Though part of a series, this book can definitely be read as a standalone. The writing and plot is gripping, constantly keeping you guessing, with characters you can't help but admire, and a story that (scarily!) could actually happen! You can't get much better than that!
*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. All views and opinions are completely honest, and my own.
This Amish story has an interesting storyline because of Luke’s amnesia. Injured in an accident, Luke has no memory of the last five years. As bits and pieces of his memory begins to return, it’s quite a shock to discover that he has an Englisch wife—and that’s not the only surprise that’s in store for him as he confronts his forgotten past. He does realize that his wife, Jennie, is in danger, and he revolves to do anything he can to protect her.
This story is suspenseful and intriguing, and has some unexpected turns in the storyline that makes it difficult to predict how and when Jenny will be targeted by yet someone else. I liked both Luke and Jennie and enjoyed reading their story. Because of the differences in their lives—Amish and Englisch—it seemed almost impossible for their relationship to have a future. There’s on more twist at the end that sends their story in a different direction. This was a good book from beginning to end.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
I'm not entirely sure how this book gets all four and five stars. Are people actually reading this? Maybe compensated for a review? It doesn't say they're not... I don't know, but DNF @ pg 88. I've been reading A LOT of 'Love Inspired' books this year, and... this one is up there, takin' the cake as one of THE worst books, yet. Lemme tell ya... you have to check your brain at the door make it thru this.
So the 'Love Inspired' books are already cheesy enough. His Amish Secret Child. Her Christmas Cowboy's Unexpected Baby. The Sheriff's Forgotten Amnesiac Doctor's Sister. The Shadows of the Surprise Rancher's Twin Blessings. I can't even... it's really that nuts, anymore. I own 500-ish of these, so my family of seven is rolling their eyes at me pretty heavily. But it's like Dana wanted to hit EVERY SINGLE grasping plotline ever conceived by LI , with this one. It's the Suspenseful Amish Christmas Surprise Wife and Baby for the Amnesiac. YAY! We've got it all, in one fell swoop!
((((sigh.)))))
So. Luke had his *rumspringa* (period of living like an American instead of Amish), and during that time, he met Jenny whilst she was being raped and beaten and nearly killed via stabbing. He saved her, fell for her, and since he hated his parents and upbringing, he turned his back on the Amish and married Jenny, living five years as a normal human. What was up with the attack? Her stepdaddy got out of jail (she put him there after the FIRST attempted rape at age eleven), and he wants revenge on her, so with Luke's help, she puts stepdaddy back in jail, again, age fifteen.
I'm not sure how you go about marrying a fifteen year old, but... maybe they hung out waiting for her to be sixteen so she could get consent from... wait, nobody - she was disowned by her foster parents... I don't even know. But they were married. When she was fifteen or sixteen years old. You tell me.
Then Luke was in a work explosion at age 22, broke his leg (permanently, apparently - he has a limp, five years later from a partial fracture?!?!? It wasn't even BROKEN!! Who writes this?!?!?), and he wandered off with amnesia from whatever site at whatever kind of job for whatever company. He lost five years worth of memories of his life - everything not Amish, conveniently - and ends up back home with his folks, that he doesn't like, recall. Where he spends ANOTHER five years living Amish, after joining the church, finally. Because reasons. So he's now twenty-seven.
Until the day he sees stepdaddy on the news IN A FEED STORE on a television (what the what!?!?!) and thinks, "JENNY!!!!!" He doesn't know Jenny, but he needs to find her. And can get there because he knows the way. So he tells his mother he's going away (no other explanation?! Seriously?! And with his past, nobody's asking questions or trying to stop him?! No resistance, whatever...?), and he jumps in a hired car with his brother and goes off...
... just in time to save Jenny again. But it's not stepdaddy. It's stepdaddy's thug. Who leaves a HUGE trail of evidence around her apartment conveniently, for the cops to find. (What ex-con does that?! Seriously??? Who strips off a Santa suit at the scene of an attack? Why wouldn't he wear it away and dispose of it elsewhere?!) Anyhow, she saw the guy, so after looking at mugshots and stuff at the cop-shop, she/her son ID the guy... who has a room full of pictures of her little boy.
But we're assured that right after watching his mommy get nearly strangled to death by a bad man in a Santa suit who jumped out of the shadows INSIDE their apartment... (!?!?!) that Junior is perfectly well adjusted and not at all freaked out about any of this. He was "happily chatting about how cool the troopers were". ?!?!??! NOT. EVEN!!!!
Also he's LUKE'S little boy. And yeah, he's all shades of stunned that he's married to an Englische woman and has a four year old - Luke Junior. Because why not be trite and cliche at the same time? So Luke is staying with them now, as protector, even though he doesn't believe in violence or physical action to fight back against baddies. (((SIGH.))) So what good he'll do, nobody knows.
Additionally, we're told he thinks she pretty, but shouldn't be having those thoughts. Because she's his *wife*. WHAT?!?!?! I don't know, you tell me. There are *I.S.S.U.E.S* here, by the hundreds...
Then she needs milk because she spilled it while being attacked (I'm not kidding), so she goes to the supermarket and she's nearly run down by someone in the parking lot, but she doesn't report it to the police after the near strangulation, because reasons. The author likes stupid, I guess... I dunno, you tell me.
Then Jenny goes home, goes to bed with her kid (not her husband), and hears something at her son's window... And Luke checks out the boy's room. The author says, "Luke doesn't find anything out of place". First, Luke's never met his son (doesn't know what the kid HAS), second, he's been there all of eight hours, TOPS, and have you ever *SEEN* the bedroom of a four-year old boy? I have four sons... there is NO WAY nothing would be out of place. ?!?!?!?!?!?
And there's a LADDER at the window!!! EGADS! Someone tried to break in and LEFT THE LADDER THERE?!?! Are you *KIDDING* me???? Who writes this stuff?!?!? What, was baddie going to try to take a flailing, screaming four year old out a WINDOW, struggling down a ladder?! Is this even a thing???? So in come the cops, telling her to find another place to stay, now... since there've been four major red flag findings/events in the last eight hours.
So instead of fleeing, she goes to the bank, because 'she doesn't have cash and doesn't like debit cards' - she's a TWENTY-SOMETHING in 2020, and doesn't like cashless transactions?? Is there any scrap of reality TO this mess??? And people are all skeery at the bank (not)... but then she gets a weird call from her abnormally freaked and tense bestie saying she has to come over right away, and *click* the call is ended. Oooooooh.....!
ANYONE living in 2020 would know that means something is WRONG, and to call your cop friend who is on this case and has all this evidence, and have him MEET YOU THERE, hello...! But no. Jenny and Luke take a FOUR-YEAR OLD to the friend's house... and the doors are locked, no one answering, and there's moaning inside. Do they call the cops? Heck no! They bust in, find the friend nicely beaten (as in, alive, nothing broken, no lasting damage, because 'Love, Inspired' pink fluffy clouds and rainbows). It was done by her evil brother who met stepdaddy in prison and has been taking photos of Jenny/Junior for stepdaddy! MORE pictures! SCADS of pictures!
They hear a noise, and do they call the cops? Noooooooooo! Luke rushes out, and it's evil brother, still on the scene! They wrestle, and a fire starts! Woe upon woe! Agony upon agony! And STILL nobody's calling 9-1-1...
I... am out. I'm sorry. I can suspend a *little* reality for the sake of a story, but this has gone so far into the realm of ridiculously stupid I can't even. And it's only 88 pages in.
I was not compensated for my honest review, by the way. Kinda wish I was, truth be told...
Deadly Amish Reunion is the 9th book in the Amish Country Justice series by Dana R. Lynn. As far as I can tell, these books are completely unrelated in one to one another, and as such can be read as standalones. This was the first book I'd personally read in the series, and in fact I didn't even realize it WAS part of the series (though I must admit it had me curious to read more from the author anyway!)
In Deadly Amish Reunion, we meet Luke Beiler. He is an Amish man, who after an accident found himself missing years of his memories. Years during which he lived among the Englisch. When he sees an image of a man escaped from prison, something comes back to him-- a name and a face of a woman. He doesn't know who she is, but he knows she is important...and in trouble- Jennie. Jennie is shocked to discover her husband is not dead... but she doesn't have too long to adjust to the idea finding herself on the run of her life trying to escape danger.
As a Love Inspired Suspense novel, I love knowing that it is going to be a clean and inspirational read. I loved the aspects of faith in this story too. It's a shorter, quick read (ideal this time of year), without feeling rushed or lacking. Overall, a really good read and one that I would certainly recommend to fans of Amish Suspense. I look forward to seeing more from this author in the future.
**I received a complimentary copy of this book for consideration. All thoughts are my own.
Dana R. Lynn brings the suspense in Deadly Amish Reunion!
Jennie Beiler's husband, Luke, had been presumed dead for five years, so when he shows up on her doorstep in time to rescue her - again - from someone bent on killing her, she is beyond shocked. Where has he been, and why does he look Amish?
Luke remembers nothing of the 5 years he spent living Englisch. An accident stole those years, and left him with a 5 year gap in his memories. He returned to his parents' home believing he was 17 and on his rumspringa. He was stunned when they told him he was actually 22, and had been gone 5 years. During a trip to town, he catches a news report and knows that "Jennie" is in danger. He doesn't know why, or even who she is. He only knows he must get to her. He arrives as she is being attacked, and stops the killer before he can accomplish his goal. He is stunned to learn that "Jennie" is "Mrs. Beiler" and her little boy, LJ, has his eyes.
As danger stalks them at every turn, can they find safety in Luke's Amish community?
This story was a bit like riding a roller coaster. Just when the ride starts to level out, and the characters felt a degree of safety, another blind hairpin with a steep drop-off came screaming at them. There were so many "bad guys" that every time one went down, another cropped up.
Readers who love romantic suspense will love Deadly Amish Reunion. I even liked the conflict that arose from Luke's amnesia and his return to the Amish faith. Don't miss this one!
Jennie Beiler is surprised when her husband saves her life. Why? Because she thought he was dead. Apparently someone from her past has their sites set on Jennie and her son, and they're now on the run.
Luke Beiler doesn't remember having an Englisch wife or son. In fact, he doesn't remember much about what happened five years ago, but he's determined to protect them. Even if that includes hiding his new-found family in his Amish community. Will he be able to keep them safe?
As I've come to expect with Lynn's books, this is a well-paced suspense. It's easy to connect with the characters, and there are enough twists to keep the reader guessing. The faith element is neatly woven in without being preachy.
This book is part of the Amish Country Justice series, but it can be read as a standalone novel.
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy, but I wasn't required to leave a positive review.
No bookmark needed. Once you pick up this book it will be so hard to put down, so make sure you time your reading well. Jennie's life has been difficult especially after losing her husband and finding out she is pregnant. When danger comes to her doorstep so does her husband. He had amnesia and embraced his previous Amish life. He vows to protect her and their son until the danger is gone, but what happens when he must choose his faith. Can Jennie let him go or join him. A story of faith in God and His will be done.
I loved this book!! Crazy story!! Glad that they found out who was stalking her!! Glad her and her husband got their happy ending!! Love this author’s books!!
WOW! This was a book that kept me at the edge of my seat from page one! It has constant suspense and danger and you're always wondering if a new attack is coming and from where! Jennie Beiler is scared when she discovers her stepfather escapes from prison. He attacked her twice when she was young and she testified against him. Luke saved her that second time, and they later got married. But he's been dead for five years after an accident in an explosion and he was presumed dead but his body was never found. She receives a huge shock when she's attacked and Luke saves her from her attacker! Luke, in flesh and alive, but he doesn't remember anything about her. He was found injured and with amnesia and taken back to his Amish Community. But he suddenly got a feeling in his heart that a woman who is important to him is in danger, so he appears in the moment Jennie needs him most. But the danger follow them every step, and even if Luke doesn't remember his Englisch wife, he vows to protect her, and his newly discovered son of five years!! The plot is totally intriguing, I don't want to spoil it. Just to say that they are never safe for one second, and that Luke seeks shelter in his Amish Community, which is important, because everyone will discover he has a wife (and not a "Plain"one, and a son they never knew. Other than the constant edge of your seat suspense, I loved the characters. Jennie was scared and was reluctant to trust Luke at first, so she pulls up her walls, because she knows that with Luke being Amish again, there's no future for them. But seeing Luke's trust in God, and his selflessness and giving nature in order to protect them in spite of everything will eventually move Jennie's heart, and that is a sight to behold. Her growing close to God, and Luke trusting God at every turn. Is there a chance for this unexpected family? Can they have a future together? That is, if they survive the vicious killer? This is a story I definitely recommend! Romantic suspense at its best and with an inspiring message that will leave you happy at the end. Loved the epilogue! This book is part of a series but it can be perfectly read as a standalone.
This is the 9th installment in the Amish Country Justice Series from Dana Lynn. Once I started reading this captivating story I couldn't put it down. The author brings strong characters and a spine tingling suspense. The story centers around Jennie Beiler. A single mom who's preparing for holidays with her 4 year old son. A news broadcast captures her attention and sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change her life. She grew up in foster care after reporting and testifying against her stepfather for abuse and her mother relinquishing her parental rights. Jeanie has learned to keep her emotions close and has only shared them with one other person, Luke. His loss devastated her, but knew she had to be strong because she had a child to raise. This was not the life she had envisioned, but it was what she had. Suddenly finding out her step father had escaped prison and Luke showing up on her doorstep was much more than she was ready to deal with. I loved how even though Luke had amnesia he still felt a strong need/desire to protect Jennie. Could Luke regain what he had lost? Luke is a strong Amish man who wants to do right not only God, but also Jennie and his son. He never once thinks of himself first. As the story opens I am quickly pulled me in and held me until the end (until 2:20 in the morning I might add). This story has elements of mystery, suspense, complex characters, turmoil, faith, and love. The plot flows effortlessly. The engaging characters are raw and real. This book is part of a series, but is written as a stand alone read. I would recommend this book to anyone who love a clean story, Amish, or a good suspense. **I received this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Deadly Amish Reunion. This the ninth book in An Amish Country Justice Romance. I've really enjoyed this series. I think Dana is a wonderful author and I'm always thrilled to get one of her books in the mail. This one is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Luke Beiler is in a store when he sees a face on the TV that sent chills down his spine. The man had escaped prison. He might not know the man but he knew what he meant. Luke was in an accident years ago and lost five years of his life from amnesia. His brother asked if he was alright. As they left a name popped into his mind Jennie. He knows she is in danger. He must find her. They take off to find her. He somehow knows exactly where she is. They rescue her but is shocked to find she is his wife and he has a son.
Jenny Beiler is on the phone when she hears her stepfather is out of prison. He had threatened to kill her. He had attacked her twice. Her brother saved her at eleven and she had testified against him. The second time Luke had saved her. They had married but he had been killed in an explosion. Now Luke Junior is all the family she has. She must protect him. she rushes to his preschool. He's OK. When she returns home she is attacked by a Santa. When she knows she is going to die he is pulled off her by two Amish men. Luke is alive.
A journey to find Luke's past while staying one step ahead of a killer. God has a plan for this little family. A plan for a hope and a future. God has plan for you too, a plan for peace and not destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.
Amish Romantic Suspense is a fast growing sub-genre that I've been enjoying since reading my first Marta Perry book a few years ago. Since then Dana R. Lynn has become one of my absolute favorite authors of Amish romantic suspense and I have fallen in love with her exciting Amish Country Justice series.
The amnesia trope has been used many time before, but, every so once in awhile an author will either bring something new to the table or will make it so interesting it seems new. Deadly Amish Reunion is one of those. Dana R. Lynn did a great job with it, keeping me intrigued and invested in whether Jennie and Luke would be able to survive the danger and piece a new and different life together.
As you can probably guess I enjoyed Deadly Amish Reunion. It was one wild buggy ride of peril and romance that kept me on the edge of my seat. Poor Luke, Jennie, and their son were run through the wringer with this story! But that was what made this ninth Amish Country Justice novel so much fun to read...
