When we get bogged down in the minutiae of life, if can be downright stressful and depressing. Keeping a positive outlook and attitude can be tough when issues are coming from all areas. We are locked in our homes; kids are stressed; we just need to get back to life, and more!

Broken into 47 little chapters, Osteen focuses on looking at the positive things in our lives. She shares stories from the Bible that reflect her topic and remind us that God always has our back.

She touches on topics like controlling your life, servant leadership, mistakes, our abilities and gifts, staying balanced, time management, and so many needed and fresh reminders that we are never going it alone. I love the short prayers at the end of each chapter to re-affirm our commitment and blessings.

Written in easy to read prose, this bedside or desk side companion is the perfect book to pick up and read whenever you need a break from the day or just need a fresh perspective. You can even read and meditate on one chapter a week for a lovely devotional style book.

Osteen sets a lovely tone and this book is a fabulous reminder that we should never live in fear but fearless with God!

This is a good collection of positive, encouraging, and inspiring devotions. Osteen uses personal stories, those of others and ones from the Bible to illustrate her teaching. Each devotion contains an essential Bible verse and a closing prayer.

I like that she begins with a foundation of God's love, deep and unconditional. Among the devotions was one encouraging us to be the best we can be, right where God has placed us, even if we do not understand why God has placed us there. Another devotion was about not taking offense. The opportunities for offense will come but we do not have to take the offense. Osteen gives good ideas on how to deal with them. A surprising devotion was one on joy and how it can be a defense against what comes at us from life. My favorite devotion was on the importance of knowing who we are in Christ.

I like this collection of devotions. They are positive and inspiring yet realistic. Osteen gives good teaching through them on how to live life the way God desires for us.

Food for thought: “Through Him you can live fearlessly and freely no matter what you're facing.” (42)

I received a complimentary digital copy of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

We allow “Fear” to go down with deceptive ease. Victoria prose the hard truths we make ourselves believe by injecting biblical TRUTHS — real truths that we should believe simply because it comes from GOD. “Fearless and Free” is painted with a palette of many tones, its outlines many ways to live just like that... fearless!

Even without the pandemic, there are a lot of things in the world today that can leave us feeling stressed and fearful. Victoria Osteen in Fearless and Free encourages readers to focus on the good things and to leave the hard things with God.

Fearless and Free is a book of 47 devotional readings. Each reading includes a devotion, Bible verses to reflect on, a prayer, and some questions to ask yourself or thoughts to reflect on based on the reading.

I especially like how Osteen helps me focus on God's goodness in her devotions. Each one is a reminder that God is working everything out for my good and that He does love me even when I make mistakes. I like that she shares stories from prominent Bible figures and she also shares stories from her life. The two are woven together and remind me once again that the Bible is just as relevant today as it was many years ago. I do also like that these readings specifically focus on God's goodness and remind me to not be afraid today. I think that some days, more than others, we just need reminders like that. Fearless and Free could also be a good book to gift to someone who is in need of encouragement or for those who are graduating. My son is graduating from high school and these readings offer a consistent reminder that things are going to be okay because God loves us every day. That won't change no matter what else is going on.

I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions within this review are my own.

I really enjoyed reading Victoria's book Fearless and Free. These power inspirational thoughts are great, to help us refocus and keep our minds positive. Truly brings out the practicality of renewing your mind daily and to set your thoughts on the thoughts God has for us. She writes this so well, in her book Fearless and Free. Personally Three of my favorite chapters are Chapter 7- Guard Your Heart, Chapter 17- God is breathing on you and Chapter 34 Ask for Wisdom. If you are reading this review, I encourage you to read this book. By the end of it, you will have a new mind set. You will fix your thoughts on thoughts, that are good, pure and especially what God thinks about you! Thank you Victoria for that beautiful reminder!

In Fearless and Free, Victoria Osteen explored the topic of living our lives fearlessly and how the first step is believing in His goodness. She has written a brand-new devotional to encourage readers to realize that they are already equipped to overcome their fears. Victoria shared how she had to overcome her own fears with public speaking when she took over the role of a pastor at Lakewood Church. She struggled with living in fear and she came to realize the seeds that God has already planted in her. In reading the Bible, she learned how to see herself as God sees her and how He has instilled confidence to live fearless and free. She also looks at many different Biblical characters such as: Joshua and Caleb, Esther, Moses and Pharaoh, David and Goliath, and much more and how they handle their fears and how God guided them through their fears.

One of the first devotionals, she discussed was about God’s unconditional love and she opens up by sharing a Bible verse, 1 John 3:1. This verse talked about our Father’s love that He has for us and how we are all called to be children to God. She shared how as children we tend to believe that the only way, we will receive love from others is by performing perfectly and being on our best behavior. She revealed many of us might believe that God is up in Heaven keeping a scorecard about how perfectly we perform and live our lives. Victoria reminded readers that God loved us unconditionally and we can live free from guilt and from condemnation. She encourages readers to believe that they are a child of God and to hold on to the truth that God loves us and chose us as His own.

I would recommend this awesome book to anyone who is ready to live freely and they are tired of living burden down by fear. I immensely loved how Victoria covered a wide range of topics from: enjoying the simple things, prioritizing your day, guarding your heart, going to God for your mistakes, releasing things back to God, having a fresh perspective, freedom from offense, don’t fall into the comparison trap, and much more. One of my favorite topics, she covered in the book was the one about having an attitude of gratitude and this is based on First Thessalonians 5:18. In this section, she taught readers to give thanks to God in all things and to find an encouraging scripture to mediate on to remind us of His faithfulness. I liked how she shared one way that can help us is to write down every day three things we are thankful for, and this in turn can help us to change our perspective. I also liked how she began each chapter by sharing a Bible verse, then a devotion filled with personal stories from her life and others, and she closed with a prayer. I truly believe this book couldn’t have been released at a better time since we are all facing the new challenges of living in fear of a pandemic of COVID-19. We are all afraid of getting it, losing our jobs, losing money, being disconnected from family and friends and the church, losing loved ones from the virus, and we’re afraid of life after all this is over. It’s easy to focus on all the negative surrounding the virus but during this trying season, we all have a choice to either live in fear of all of the uncertain or to reply on God and His promises. Victoria Osteen’s new devotional can assist readers in learning how to live fearlessly and free during this pandemic and even after it. Fear will never go completely away but there are principles we can apply in our lives to combat fear.

What a book? For me this book was inspirational in a way that it was very easy to read through and understand. I use to love reading books as a child but lost my interest after college due to all the educational books I had to read. I lost interest in enjoying reading books until I started reading Pastor Victoria's books. It completly brings me back to my childhood of when I use to find a quiet spot and reading away as I picture every scenario in my mind. I love to read, learn, take away and apply things to my own life. Is like binging on a movie with many episodes and you just want to keep watching to find out what happens next. My biggest take away from this book so far is how important it is to enjoy each day and really live every moment. Finding time to spend with God no matter how busy your schedule may be. Putting God first in your life and going to him as you are with out shame. He loves us regardless and there is nothing we can do to change that. For anyone that may be reading this, I encourage you to purchase this book. Especially if your going through some tough times during this epidemic. Read it, take notes, and apply it to your life. Ask God to use this book to change you for the better. Don't leave Quarantine the same. Life may get back to normal but you can chose to live a better life after this. Pick up this book and join the reading and let it transform your heart.

New to the book world, an empowering devotional that will help you Live Confidently, Believe Expectantly and Embrace Your Victory!

New York Times bestselling author and wife of famed pastor Joel Osteen, Victoria carries many qualifications including radio host, co-pastor of America's largest church and more. She has years of experience in the Christian ministry and is a noted and well liked writer and leader.

In her new devotional, Fearless & Free, there are 47 devotionals. These are not just one page snap devotions, but rather a themed read along with a few Bible verses and a scripted prayer. Each devotional covers a topic to help guide readers realized what it means to "live fearlessly in the truth that God has already set them free." With titles like " Fear Is Not the Boss", "Release It to God", "Grow In Joy", "Your True Identity" and more, each devotional chapter is set to encourage, instruct and empower the reader along on a journey to spiritual freedom.

I have enjoyed picking this book up each morning, it has been a refreshing difference to the typical one page devotionals I had been reading. Especially in the middle of a very fear-filled time in history, I have found much release and encouragement from the words in this book!

There are numerous things in the world that cause fear, especially at this time with the pandemic. This is an encouraging book to help the reader focus on the positives, as well as reminders to let God handle the rest.

Osteen's latest contains forty-seven devotional readings (a title, Bible verse, devotion, and prayer). Each message has a focus on God's love and goodness in every situation. Numerous personal stories (from her, including some that have been shared with her) are included to help the reader connect. Bible stories are utilized, as well.

The book is small enough to make it easy to put in a purse or bag for travel. Each devotion is short, so they can fit into a busy schedule.

Some titles include:
- God's Unconditional Love
- Fear is Not the Boss
- Trust in God's Hands
- Faithful with the Small Stuff
- Be Intentional with Your Time
- Grow in Joy
- Your True Identity

Some of my favorite quotes:

- "Often what disrupts our faith is fear."
- "Recognize all of the blessings of God that are already in your life."
- "Don't let the everyday distractions keep you from accomplishing what is truly important in your life."

Fearless and Free by Victoria Osteen is a book written and appropriate for the time we are in. What a timely book. If we ever needed to be reminded not to be afraid, it is this season. While most people are glue to TV, scared to death about coronavirus worldwide. While many people are forced to quarantine in the house, lost loved ones, lost their job, lost their money in the stock market and just dazed by the shock produced by the spread of this virus and nonstop broadcast from the news outlets and social media. The most obvious result is to fear and be sore afraid. Thank you Victoria for reminding us to step back, remember who and whose we are and be fearless. You reminded us to take our focus off real situation that looks deem and impossible and focus on the very God who does impossible and has instructed us throw out the scripture not to be afraid but to be fearless and be full of faith in Him. That is real freedom and this equip us to live a free and fearless life. We truly serve a great & Mighty God - our Heavenly loving Father.

“Fearless and Free” could not have come at a more timely season with all of the uncertainty we find ourselves in right now.

I love being able to set my thoughts each morning with these devotions. Victoria Osteen has a way of penning her words with such love and compassion that they speak right to my heart.

One part that I loved the most was when she wrote, “Each of us has to determine in our own heart whether to activate faith or fear in our life.... Choose faith.”

That just reminds me that each day I have a choice to make. Choose faith over fear. It sounds simple enough, but isn’t helpful until I actually do what the author reminds me to do.

This is a beautifully written devotion and I am sure everyone will be able to pull out great nuggets of wisdom that will help them even as I have.

What a great devotional! This devotional has scripture and prayers like any devotional. But, the thing I like most about it is that it reads like a book. It’s like the author is sitting with the reader and adding bits of encouragement and inspiration to their day.

My favorite chapter is ‘Patience Under Construction’ and my favorite quote from that chapter says “I’m not who I want to be, but thank God I’m not who I used to be. (common quote)” (p.157)

I was drawn to this book by the title and the lovely cover.

Fearless and Free is the perfect devotional for the season of Covid. Turn off the news and turn into God's word. We need to have our thoughts set free and this book will help you begin to tune into the truth. You will learn to live more free and bold each day, despite what is going on in the world. I found this devotional to be of great courage and comfort. This collection of devotions will be uplifting and inspiring as you live each day. I really have enjoyed reading them, especially during a time where fear is rampant. This book will ground you and help you stay in the truth of God's word. Grab your copy today.
My only complaint: It doesn't have a ribbon marker. That can be frustrating to me when I read devotionals. Other than that, this book is a treasure.

If you’re feeling down, discouraged, or grumpy, the devotions in Fearless & Free are the perfect solution. The stories are bold, beautiful, and incredibly uplifting.

I love that these short readings are full of pep and inspiration! They aren’t flowery or over-the-top, just truthful and powerful. Little steps lead to great journeys, and each devotion guides you through insightful topics, and ultimately toward a changed attitude.

If you’ve enjoyed previous Osteen books, I’m fairly certain this one will appeal to you too. As a matter of fact, this one is one of my favorites. This book makes a wonderful addition to a home library, as well as a thoughtful gift for someone else.

You only need 1 great thought to set the tone for your day, this book is a collection of great and inspirational thoughts strung together! It helps me take the focus off of me and see that there’s a bigger picture. It’s an easy read, I’ve read books where I was struggling to get through a page, this one is so easy to understand and to relate to. I like that the chapters are on the shorter side, even when I have a late start I can still get 2 or 3 chapters in before I get doing. During this weird season it has helped me keep a positive perspective on my life and on the world around me.

Great book!!

I love Joel Osteen and Victoria!! Their words are always very inspiring and comforting. If you are looking for words of encouragement, this is definitely a great book of devotions. It’s very easy to read and understand and it’s definitely straight to the point. Sometimes we let sadness and discouragement take over our lives and it’s hard to find someone who’s gonna lift us up from that dark place. Fearless & Free will give you the “lift” you need to continue moving forward. Thank you, Victoria. God bless you and your beautiful family!!

I’m impressed with Victoria’s new book “Fearless and Free.” What I like about the book is that her examples above God’s love are relatable to all walks of life. One example that stood out-“Jesus being your Big Brother.” I have one child whom is school-aged and when I mentioned the example to him, he told me that he loved it. I recommend this book to all that want to be fearless and free!

Fearless and Free is a great title for this book of encouragement. Our daily lives are elevated when we not just read about but really embrace the truth about ourselves from God’s Word. The scripture references and prayers in each chapter help us to apply and give voice to what is plainly laid out for us. I highly recommend this book!

A chapter on Comparison. Wow waa this good. As women, some of us are so good at that. She has this and I only have this. We are taught in scripture to basically concern ourselves with our own situation or race. God has a plan for everyone and it is different from the next person. Count your own blessings. Not someone else. Great chapter and if the rest are like this, you are in for a treat.
