یہ کہانی ہے انتقام کی۔
ناول پڑھتے ہوۓ ذہن میں یہ رکھنا بہت ضروری ہے۔
بنیادی طور پہ اس کہانی کے دو رخ ہیں۔ ایک کہانی ہے کزنز خوش نصیب اور کیف کی، جبکہ دوسری جانب بشام کی دلفریب وادی میں واقع قلعہ فلک بوس کے رہاٸشی وسامہ اور آۓ کت (میاں بیوی)، اور اس کے مالک معاویہ (وسامہ کا کزن) کی اسرار بھری کہانی پڑھنے کو ملتی ہے۔
اس کے علاوہ منفرا اور اس کی فیملی، اس کی سہیلیاں، ان سب کے بارے میں بھی جاننے کو ملے گا۔

اس ناول میں کچھ مناظر میرے بےحد پسندیدہ ہیں۔ بہت پراسرار, دل کی دھڑکن تیز کر دینے والے مناظر۔ بہت خوبصورتی سے لکھے گۓ مناظر۔

دل وہیں کہیں رہ گۓ دونوں کے۔ وہیں بشام کے فلک بوس میں تالاب کے کنارے"۔"

سب سے پہلے تو میں ایک نام کی تعریف کرنا چاہتی ہوں۔
آۓکت
وسامہ، آۓکت، معاویہ۔ ان تینوں کو جن پیچیدہ اور دلچسپ رشتوں کی ڈور میں پرویا گیا وہ بذات خود قابل تعریف ہے۔ اوپر سے قلعہ فلک بوس۔ یہ تینوں اور وہ تاریکیوں اور اسرار میں ڈوبا قلعہ۔

ناصرف یہ ناول پراسرار ہے بلکہ اس میں بہت سے سنسنی خیز مناظر ہیں جو کہ حقیقت کے بالکل قریب لکھے گۓ ہیں آپ کے لیے اندازہ لگانا ناممکن سا ہو جاتا ہے کہ اصل بات ہے کیا؟ قلعہ فلک بوس والا معمہ سمجھ سے باہر لگتا ہے۔ افسوس اس بات کا ہے کہ یہ ناول اتنا مشہور نہیں جتنا کہ ہونا چاہیئے اکثر لوگ اس کی موجودگی سے ناواقف ہیں۔ زیادہ تر اردو ناولوں کے ساتھ یہی ایشو ہے کہ لوگ ان سے ناواقف ہیں۔
ناول کے عین وسط میں جو ایک بہت بڑا جھگڑا فضل ہاٶس میں کھڑا ہوا اس میں جو سب گھر والوں کا رد عمل سامنے آیا وہ ساری صورتحال حقیقت کے بہت قریب لگی۔ اس ناول میں کٸ بار ایسی صورتحال سامنے آٸ جو حقیقی زندگی کا پر تو لگی۔
اس ناول کے بارے میں زیادہ کھل کر بات نہیں کی جا سکتی کیونکہ اس کا اصل مزا ہی کچھ نہ جاننے میں ہے۔

وہ وجود جس سے اس نے زندگی میں سب سے زیادہ نفرت کی تھی۔۔۔اور شاید محبت بھی

ان دونوں کی کہانی، یہی میرے لیے اس ناول کا سب سے منفرد پہلو تھا (جبکہ باقی سب کردار اور ان کی کہانی بھی مجھے بے حد پسند آئی)۔ جنہوں نے ناول پڑھا ہے وہ جانتے ہیں میں کیا کہہ رہی ہوں۔ میں نے پہلی بار کسی ناول میں دو لوگوں کو ایسے رشتے میں دیکھا جو رشتہ بذاتِ خود پیاز کی تہوں جیسا ہے۔

A good Urdu mystery thriller, Dasht-e-Junoon was interesting. I mean yeah, there were cliches, particularly when it came to the characters and their 'beauty', but the book had a decent enough plot that said cliches could easily be ignored. The sub-tracks weren't infinite nor were they so complex that the reader's mind could be scrambled like an egg. The different pieces of the puzzle were manageable and came together quickly enough.
I also liked the writer's approach. It was 'what you have been told since now has been a lie' rather than 'I purposefully omitted/kept things vague so they could be interpreted a certain way'.
That's it, that's my review.

Could have been better if there is love story between khush naseeb and mavia. Author wrote an almost full novel on her but her character development was not what i expected . In the end her character seems almost useless. She always wanted to be independent and to be useful for her family whic didnt happend

I will give this novel 4 stars. It was very interesting, and every new sentence left me eager for the next. However, there are a few reasons why I couldn't give it 5 stars.

1. The plot is excellent, and I understand how mawia knew shahmeer and how he met Khushnaseeb. But I found it hard to believe that the same Shahmeer turned out to be Manfara's neighbor and that Manfara also met Mawia. I mean, how could there be so many coincidences? However, since it's an imaginary story, a novel, it can be given some margin.

Apart from this one issue, the novel will amaze you. Every aspect is presented beautifully, with no inconsistencies. It never feels like the story is being stretched unnecessarily. Each sentence is used exactly where needed.

And the best part is that the writer's writing is excellent. The lines are so beautiful that I read them over and over again, like

"Hum Jin say muhabbat kartein Hein na manfara hum hamesha inko margin de deetin Hein"

I liked the last 100 pages the most when everything was revealed slowly that was the best part of the book. But khushnasseb's character felt like it didn't need to be there she was not connected to the main story what so ever she wasn't really needed for the big reveal. But if she was the one married to mavia then her character and the time we spent on her would have made sense.

Her character was not given a good ending like give us a science with everyone apologizing to her and let us see what happens to her after she goes back

It was a good book , The story keeps you hooked, But i was really expecting more from Mavya’s character i thought there’s is going to be big release or surprise at the end of the readers but . But the ending was quite predictable.

I kinda liked this book. A good thriller pick for reading. Proved that humans are more dangerous than evils or ghosts
I felt it was unnecessary dragged but the plot twists made it fine.

"ہم جن بھوت اور آسیب سے ڈرتے ہیں ڈرنا بھی چاہئے لیکن محتاط صرف انسانوں سے رہنا چاہیئے کیوں کہ انسانی شر کا بھوت کے کسی بھی دوسرے بھوت سے زیادہ خوفناک ہوتا ہے اور خطر ناک بھی۔۔۔"

اس دشتِ جنوں اور انتقام کے چکر میں انسانوں نے یہ ثابت کر دیا کہ انسان واقعی جنوں اور بھوتوں سے زیادہ خطرناک ہوتا ہے۔
کہانی کے کئی کردار کسی نہ کسی طرح اپنے اندر کے شر کو شکست دینے میں ناکام رہے۔ ایک طرف طاقت کے حصول کے لیے ہر حد سے گزر جانا اور دوسری طرف انتقام کی آگ میں ایسے اندھا ہو جانا کیا کچھ نہیں کروا گیا ان کرداروں سے۔
کہانی میں کئی جھول نظر آئے لیکن لفظوں کا سحر ایسا کہ کئی مقامات پر دل سکڑا اور سمٹا۔ فلک بوس میں ہونے والے واقعات ریڑھ کی ہڈی میں ایسی سنسناہٹ دوڑا گئے کہ بے یقینی اور خوف نے دل میں پنجے گاڑ لیے۔
بہترین منظر نگاری اور عمدہ پلاٹ کو لفظوں میں ایسے ڈھالا گیا کہ تمام کردار اور واقعات آنکھوں کے سامنے حقیقتاً ناچنے لگے۔
خوش نصیب کے ساتھ ہمدردی ہو یا کسی دوسرے کردار کے کرتوتوں پر اظہارِ افسوس، ہر جذبہ دل پہ اپنی ایک الگ چھاپ چھوڑنے میں کامیاب رہا اور کتھارسس کا کام کرتا چلا گیا۔ کئی واقعات خاصے متحرک ثابت ہوئے اور منہ ایسی سفاکی پر کھلا کا کھلا رہ گیا۔
کہانی بیان کرنے کا انداز نہایت خوبصورت اور جادوئی کہ قاری بس پڑھتا ہی چلا جائے اور الفاظ میں جکڑا جائے۔ بلاشبہ دشتِ جنوں پڑھنا ایک اچھا فیصلہ تھا۔

میں نے یہ ناول بہت پہلے پڑھا تھا۔اس وقت مجھے اچھا لگا تھا۔کہانی الگ سی تھی۔یہ ایسی کہانی ہے جو آپ کو ہمیشہ یاد رہتی ہے۔ اب سات سال بعد دوبارہ پڑھی صرف یہ دیکھنے کیلئے کے کیا اسے دوبارہ پڑھ کر بھی اتنا ہی مزہ آتا ہے یا مجھے اس میں موجود خامیاں نظر آتی ہے۔کہانی اچھے سے لکھی ہوئی ہے اور پلاٹ بھی مختلف اور دلچسپ ہے۔تھوڑے بہت جو پلاٹ ھولز ہیں وہ قابلِ معافی ہیں۔
مجھے اس کہانی کا کوئی کردار بھی پسند نہیں۔ سب کردار flawed ہیں۔ اور یہ ایک اچھی بات ہے کیونکہ حقیقت میں بھی انسان ایسے ہی ہیں ۔خامیوں اور غلطیوں سے بھرے ہوئے ۔اس کہانی کا کوئی کردار بھی ایسا نہیں کہ جسے کہا کہ اس نے کبھی کچھ غلط نہیں کیا جیسا عموماً کہانیوں میں لکھا جاتا ہے کہ فرشتہ صفت انسان ہوتا ہے جو سب کی آکر جان بچا لیتا ہے اور جس کا ہر فیصلہ صحیح ہوتا ہے۔اس میں ان میں سے کچھ بھی نہیں تھا ۔
in short story was very descriptive and the scenes were beautiful especially the ones that were written in besham . There is not one character That I can say is my favorite in whole novel. They were all equally irritating and dumb. I am not saying that they are not written well .Just their personalities. They were all very similar to each other just like the shade of same color.
