Secrets, bargains, and ambition...Love was never part of the plan.

I'm a complicated woman.
Human rights attorney. Commander to my colleagues. Fiancee to the most powerful man in the country.

No one knows our arrangement is a devil's bargain.

I learned long ago love is a useless distraction. Money and status are the true motivators. Powerful alliances are more important than romantic entanglements.

My passion is my work, and nothing, not even the promise of happily-ever-after, will keep me from accomplishing my mission.

This is why I agreed to stand by the man who shattered my heart years ago.
He wants a dynasty. I want an empire. All we have to do is fool the whole world.

I am Tara Zain. And my secrets could burn this country down.

I love Sienna Snow's women. They're strong, beautiful, rich through their own efforts, confident and sexy as all heck. They're also strongly devoted to their men, men who are sexy, strong, rich and confident as well. They are also often women of color where their ethnicity is just a matter of fact but also gives the readers insight into the traditions and influences from their ancestor's.

Tara, unlike her best friends, comes from humble beginnings. She's smart enough to get her education as great schools and is a highly successful lawyer. She's also involved in a covert agency that will go to any means, even outside the law, to stop human trafficking. When the only man she's ever loved comes to her with an offer to marry and share his fortune she takes it but her failure to explain to him what she's doing and what she needs the money for causes all kinds of misunderstandings and life-altering stresses especially when he becomes President!

Ashur is so in love with Tara, even after years of separation, that he offers her a crazy contract to lure her into marrying him. Numerous misunderstandings caused by a stack of lies put too much stress on the marriage they both realize they really want to succeed.

Snow gives the reader plenty of hot sex, characters you truly care about, incredibly tense situations and enough misunderstandings to cause hair-pulling. The book had me hooked from the first page to the last. I highly recommend it to any reader.

Tara is a strong woman who has secrets in her quest to protect the world and make it a better place. She agrees to marry Ashur Kamur the boy whose heart she broke because of his meddling father. They create a contract: she gets his billions and he gets his heirs. Ashur just happens to be the President of the US, which comes with his own set of complications. True love will always find a way back to its other half even if it takes years.

Snow dives into the chaos that is politics, yet leaving the reader with hope for the future. She tackles subjects that aren't romantic, but weaves it into the story that makes the characters come alive.

"I've waited years to have you. You're mine and I'm never letting you go."

Heart pumping until the end, Commander by Sienna Snow was fantastic, gripping and on the edge of your seat sweetness. Snow has really out done herself in the Politics of Love series and I, for one, will be sad that it has ended.

Ashur Kumar and Tara Zain are bound by contract for the sake of the country. Ashur needs her as his First Lady and Tara needs him for his money, to save her friend. Lovers in the past that ended with broken hearts, can these two get past the broken history, the secrets and reclaim their love?

"We do have something to fight for. I'm fighting for you now."

I have loved this series so much that when each book came out I jumped on it like a kid in a candy shop! Within the Politics of Love series, Snow has given us strong, positive, confident, feisty and sexy females.. Readers can feel empowered by reading Snow's words. I for one, have loved reading the political words as well. Very intriguing and knowledgeable. My only concern with this story is I wish we could have more flashbacks on recapping on how Ashur proposed; emotions, what was said, etc. There was a gist of context within the story but I would have liked to have witnessed the feelings and words between the two as hearts are on the line. Maybe even have an epilogue as the ending was a little abrupt.

I encourage all to read Commander as well the two previous books in the series. You can't go wrong with Sienna Snow's work!

What another great addition to this phenomenal series. This book starts up a few years after the last book ended and it finds Tara and Ashur about to get married. They've got an agreement signed and it's all business or so it seems.
Ashur and Tara's love story is a 2nd chance romance. We pick up their love story a couple years down the road in this book. Ashur and Tara are about to get married and emotions are all totally rollercoaster ride for these two. 15 yrs ago, Tara broke up with Ashur because his father made her and then lied about the reason why she left him broken and hurting. Ashur's father Minesh Kumer -a man who had power and money didn't give her any choice. Either leave his son or he would completely ruin her family.
Fast forward 15 yrs later, Ashur is the president and Tara will be his first lady. There is still so much that these two don't know about one another . Tara is dealing with her BFF Aneera's kidnapping, and Aneera is being held by her bio father. Tara belongs to a secert organization, Solon which would ruin Ashur if that got out. Ashur has secrets of his own. Neither one is willing to trust the other with their secrets.
Will they ever be willing to let go off their past, be willing to trust one another again and let their true feelings shine ? I dont want to give too much of the story away or any spoilers but this is full of angst, drama, action, tons of steamy passion and engaging romance. Ashur and Tara make a great couple who have real issues and real problems yet still have true love that shows in this read.
This is another sensational, engaging, emotional and angsty 2nd chance romance that i i really enjoyed. The HEA is beautiful and steamy. I look forward to the next book in this series.

My rating: 4.8 stars *****

Fast paced and steamy!

I could not put this book down. Finished in less than 24 hours and really enjoyed this book! This is book 3 in the Politics of Love series and I can say, I absolutely love this series!! I would recommend reading starting with Celebrity, then Senator then onto this one, Commander. I love how we continue to see the characters from the previous books throughout. There were a few surprises sprinkled in this one, character wise that I was not expecting! Loved that!

I love a book that will keep me on my toes. This is a great second chance love story that isn’t in the conventional way that you often see with second chance novels. Thank you Sienna for this book and the continuation of the series!! I think this one was my favorite in the politics of love!

Take it from someone who hates all things political, Sienna Snow knows how to write an awesome book. This book is amazing. The political ideas were outstanding, and the characters even more so.
Tara is everything I love in a strong female character. She has strength, motivation, and leadership even when the decisions are not always above board.
Her relationship with Ashu is like a roller coaster from start to finish yet these two characters are perfection. Two souls meant to be together.

The story moved quickly yet smoothly with complete details.
I'm not articulating my thoughts in the manner I'd like but to put things in easy terms:

This book was outstanding and I can't wait to see what comes next. I really can't recommend this book enough.

It was fun, sexy and captivating. Here is a list of things I wish was included; Zara conversation with Ashur about why they broke up, I know he knew but I wanted the conversation to take place because it would have given me insight into the characters. Two I wanted to see the moment when Ashur was convincing Zara to sign the contract and also their secret wedding. Three I wanted more sweet moments during the Honey Moon. And lastly I felt like things were moving to fast. But all in all it was a great read and I would have loved to read more.

A second chance love story set against the backdrop of politics money and power.

Ashur and Tara were once young and love torn apart by vicious lies they are together again each for very different reasons. Ashur needs a first lady by his side and Tara needs money and alot of it.

I enjoyed this story especially Tara as she is a strong successful woman who has worked for everything she has. With Ashur's character we get the political element of the story which was very interesting. This was a story that was full of twists and surprises that helped keep me invested in the story.

This book was fun to read this second chance romance was quick paced. Tara and Ashur dated years ago and she broke his heart. Y'all these two are hot messes and make you shake your head. Ashur wants her and wants what they had but lord help him he went about it wrong. Tara hiding stuff makes everything uncomfortable and when her secrets come out its ugly!!! Im glad they are both stubborn and hard headed.

Secrets, lies, old love weaved into politics. What more could you want. Family inteferance, friends assistance, world media watching. Yes! Political intrigue by day, steamy nights. Oh yes. Commander has it all. You will not want to put down this book. You'll want to know if Ashur and Tara find their way or whether the secrets, lies and their front and center life tear them apart.

Ashur and Tara definitely bring the tension and thw heat! These two are both strong characters so they butt heads a lot. I liked the determination that Ashur had. He knew he wanted Tara but he had to keep showing her how much he loved her. She knew she loved him but fought him on it. It made the tension so much higher. This was such a great book!

Ashur sometimes has to be reminded to stay focused, “don’t you have a country to run? Stop thinking about *** and get back to work.” Ash is a very protective man when it comes to his lady love, “the windows aren’t covered and I’ll be da*ned if I let anyone see you naked but me.” I liked this book, I actually thibk out of the series this one is my favorite, I just really loved Ashur.

Well, another great addition to this series. This chapter starts a few years after the last one and it finds Tara and Ashur about to get married. They've got an agreement signed and it's all business. There is still interfering characters to stop their happiness, but it's also themselves that are putting up roadblocks as well. The suspense is there and the author takes you on quite a journey. The sex is hot and the plot is thick. I highly enjoyed this chapter and I definitely recommend Ms. Snow and any of her books.

This one could have been great.

Instead ...

I don't even know where to start with this.

The initial draw for me was that it was a White House romance, it had a non-Caucasian American president, and it seemed to have a strong, capable female lead. What's not to like, you're probably thinking.

Well, turns out there's a lot.

Firstly, I get that there was a back story to the main couple, but there was so little of it, and so little reason why Ashur's father did what he did and how it all went down. It's like there should have been a book before this one so we got it all.

Secondly, Ashur's motivations for wanting the one woman who broke his heart - nowhere is it clearly explained that he apparently saw through his dad's machinations. It just happens.

Thirdly, Tara in general. I like my heroines feisty, smart, and capable, and I was on board with her job which she kept from Ashur and which was apparently extra super spy and dangerous. What I did NOT get was this: if she'd already married Ashur in court, and put up a two-year stipulation, how come she hadn't acually done anything to retire from her work when she knew she'd have to? Don't give me the 'it's not that simple' spiel - knowing she was going to be FLOTUS gave her every single reason to make sure she was well and out before she even got to the White House. The fact that she couldn't see she can't have her cake and eat it too, especially in such a high-power position she was going for, was stupid. And not having anything to do at the White House after 'being so useful before' was also stupid. FLOTUS has a SHIT TON OF THINGS TO DO and can make a MASSIVE DIFFERENCE IF ONLY SHE APPLIES HERSELF. All Tara did was sit there and mope because she couldn't go out and shoot people anymore. Boo hoo, honey, you shouldn't have said yes to Ashur then.

Fourthly, and this ties directly back to the third reason, was the fact that she just couldn't bring herself to trust Ashur even though she knew his administration would most likely tank as soon as it was revealed that she hadn't quit her job, or what her job was. Like ... it's bad enough you haven't quit yet, honey, but at least give the POTUS some heads up so he knows the shit show that's about to happen.

I could go on and on, the list is endless in my mind, but I'm docking this to one star and wondering how come more people didn't see more problems with this story. It had all the potential of being badass good - and it just wasn't.

This book is about Tara, a woman about to marry the President of the United States (Asher). She has a few major problems heading into this wedding. One is that fifteen years before Asher's father was against the wedding and threatened financial ruin to her parents and to tell Asher that she had been cheating on him (not true). She broke up with Asher terribly (not telling him about his father's threats) and Asher said he'd never forgive her. Fifteen years later, he wants to marry Tara for her political leanings, to gain favor with those voters who feel differently from him. He promises her half of his immense wealth if she marries him and has two children with him. They still deeply love each other but think the other does not. The immense wealth leads to the second problem. Tara needs the money for her secret vigilante work saving women being trafficked, and can't tell Asher she is doing illegal things to help these women, but one of the kidnapped women is a dear friend of hers and she feels extra responsible to save her. But she can't tell Asher, who must abide by all the laws and would most likely be angry at her actions. This leads to the third problem. There are many difficulties with becoming a first lady who is marrying the President while he is in the White House. She must live up to the expectations people have for one in her position. All these problems must be solved if Tara and Asher are able to reach an HEA. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy a good political story with some suspense and lots of sex scenes! The first book ("Senator") would be a helpful buy to read more about the background of these characters, but is not essential for reading this standalone. Still it is also worth the purchase price.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the third book in the Politics of Love series. Sienna Snow does capture the background of politics well. She doesn't make it stuffy or boring by any means. I'm not a huge fan of politically themed books but these books are quite enjoyable. Their careers are in politics but it shows that politicians are mere humans too. The third installment is the story of Ashur and Tara's love story. We pick up a couple years down the road in this book. Ashur and Tara are about to get married and emotions are all over the place for these two.

I must say that I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did the last one. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading it but I didn't connect to the characters as much as I did to Veer and Jacinta. The writing kept me entertained (although there were quite a few grammar errors in this ARC copy), and the story line where Tara was fighting to get Ameera back. I think that was my favorite aspect. Of course, there were a lot of sexy scenes between Ashur and Tara. And I'm sure I am in the minority here but I felt there were too many of them. I felt like I needed to skip through some of them just because there was so many. I'm no prude but I felt like this was a bit crude. Again, I'm sure I'm in the minority and I enjoyed the book, just not the aspect of the language used in certain parts. I just can't imagine any guy talking like this in real life but I guess that is why we read fiction, right?! LOL

Fan of political love stories? Pick this one up when it hits shelves here shortly!

15 years ago Tara Zain walked away from the man she loved due to his father but now she is back after striking an agreement with him to pose as his fiance. Tara runs Solon and is trying to stop human trafficking around the world but must step down due to her new "relationship" but she needs to rescue her close friend Ameera Kamini who was taken.

Ashur Kumar is the most powerful man in the country but it doesn't mean that love comes easy. He never got over losing Tara and doesn't want to make the same mistake twice.

But Tara is holding secrets from Ashur and could they be enough to bring his presidency down?

This is another great book in the series.

I really liked Tara and her goal of stopping human trafficking. I still find it amazing that this is done and I am glad this author wrote about it. Tara is strong in certain areas yet reluctant to give love another chance after what happened between her and Ashur the first time. Although Tara and Ashur were engaged as a business deal you hoped that they both would realize what they had, or more specifically Tara.

Ashur was a great character and I hoped that he would get himself away from the control of his father who seemed to meddle in his life. You knew how much he still cared about Tara and how he was going to do whatever it took to prove how much he still cares about her.

The action in the book was tense with Tara deciding to get involved with trying to find Ameera. I was definitely worried near the end with what Tara would decide to do but I was super happy with Ashur and what he proved to Tara!

I have to say, as much as I love Sienna Snow as an author, I was hesitant to read this book only because it was a political romance. Not normally my type of book, I was determined to give it a fair shot and was literally blown away.
Tara Zain and Ashur Kumar had been in love and planning a future together when she was only 18 and he was 25. Ahh, then family had to step in. Ashur's father owned the tech business Tara's father worked at and felt anyone who was not in the same social and financial standing for past generations as he was were beneath him. And so the blackmail had come. Tara had to leave Ashur completely or her father's career would be ruined. As much as it broke both of their hearts, Tara had ended the relationship.
Fifteen years later, Ashur is running for President of the United States and tells Tara he needs her to win the election. They draw up a contract where she will be his wife and give him two children and he will give her half of his net worth. It's agreed upon.
A lot can happen in fifteen years. Time and circumstances change many things.
This was a remarkable storyline with characters that will tug at your emotions and keep you glued to the screen or page until <<>>. What a wonderful turn of events this turned out to be for me and I'm sure it will be for you as well.

Wow, other great book in this series !! I love every book in this group.
All were read in one setting, you can't put them down. The twist and turn, the wonderful feeling
each of the character's have an of course the sex. Their is a lot of sex in Sienna Snow books but it is always handled within the plot.
I have waited for the story of Ashur Kumar and Tara Rayna Zain . I knew it would be great. Both of them are strong, and have had heartache between them. Fifteen years ago, Tara broke up with Ashur and lied about the reason leaving him broken and hurting. His own father Minesh Kumer a man with power and money had not given her a choice. Either leave his son or he would ruin her family.
Now Ashur is the president and Tara will be his first lady. There is still a lot these two don't know
about each other. Tara is dealing with her best friend Aneera being kidnapped, and being held by her own father. Who plans to sell her. She belongs to a secert organization, Solon which would ruin Ashur. Ashur had secrets of his own. Neither is willing to trust the other.
Will they be able to forget the past, trust each other again and let each know their true feeling ?
The only way to find out the ansewer's is to grab a copy your favorite drink and settle down to read
a great book..

Please do read them in order, you will get so much more out of them..

Sienna has left the best to last, Commander was everything and more. This political love story will keep your toes curled all the way through, from the hot as sin sex scenes to the angsty misunderstandings the characters are faced with, this book will give your heart a workout.

I absolutely love the heroines in this series. They are strong, independent, smart, rich woman but Tara who is my favourite heroine in this story is everything but rich. She had to work her butt off to be the clever, courageous lawyer she has become. Her quest to stop human trafficking at any cost is the start of many scandals that will keep your heart racing.

Ashur, who is the sexy hero and president in this political saga is the love of Tara’s life. Their relationship has been doomed from family politics and major hair pulling misunderstandings but what these two will go through to be together is undoubtably my favourite political scandal I’ve read to date. Their is so much deception and lies in this political affair that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I never thought I would love political sagas as much as I have devoured this one. I highly recommended this power struggle. You definitely will enjoy it.

Commander takes place a few years after Senator ends. Tara and Asher have an agreement to marry, contract and all. He’s still madly in love with her after years apart. She wants him, her first love, but her eye is on a greater cause. But after the contract is signed and their pretend marriage starts to feel real, secrets, withheld truths, and misunderstandings might keep it from becoming the real thing.

Gah! I loved his story. I was kept on my toes almost the entire time. Tara is such an amazing character! She’s strong, intelligent, confident, and beautiful. Basically she’s a badass boss lady that I’d want to be friends with. Asher was yummy! I wanted to eat this sexy as hell, dirty talking man with a spoon! I love is devotion to Tara and his determination to win her back. Their chemistry was off the charts which translated to sex scenes so hot I nearly had to sit in a tub of ice to cool off!

I absolutely love this series! Commander was everything I love about Sienna Snow’s writing: fast-paced, exciting, sexy, and totally unputdownable. I inhaled every single word. This book and series is an absolute must read! 5 Stars.

Author, Sienna Snow, is a truly creative writer that often produces strong leading women in her storylines and Commander is no exception. From the very first page, all the way through, to the last, you will be devouring every well crafted word of this terrific romance. Tara is a strong willed, leading lady and the only woman for Ashur. She is incredibly passionate for a cause that quite honestly, needs to stop. In following her need to stop human trafficking, Tara will go to any lengths. Little did she know that Ashur would not only return into her life but offer her everything she has every wanted/longed for. Unfortunately, secrets can destroy everything, even if they are for a beautiful reason. Follow them on the superbly designed journey and find out what will happen when all is revealed. Can Ashur and Tara make it when so much is stacked against them? Love has never been the issue between them... it is lies.

I was incredibly fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Commander and I highly recommend reading Ms. Snow's latest release or anything written by this amazing Author.

What a ride! Tara is hiding so many secrets from the man she loves. The man she loves and married just happens to be the president of the United States. She has been working for a secret group who go around laws to go against human traffickers. Her job as a team lead puts her in a bad spot for her husband. If that news ever got out, his political career would be destroyed. The live they have for each other may just not be enough. Since their marriage was based on a contract, Tara isn't sure where that leaves her heart. Ashur isn't letting Tara go this time. When they parted as kids, he was left to believe the worst. Now he knows better.
As told from Tara's point of view, this story is compelling. I had a difficult time putting it down. Her love for Ashur is heartbreaking. He wants to tell her time and time again but she guards her heart better than the secret service guards the president. Her walls are concrete and steel but Ashur knows he must break through them. Secrets have a way to come out and destroy. There was an unexpected twist that I'm glad worked out the way it did.

Commander is the third book in the Politics of Love series. While it can be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend reading book 1 (Celebrity), and book 2 (Senator), because there are recurring characters.

I have been waiting for Ashur and Tara’s story. Ashur is our elected Commander-in-Chief. He’s been secretly married to Tara for 2 years. They have a romantic but broken history, so their marriage is basically a contract between them. They do have a big wedding and honeymoon, and Tara officially becomes First Lady, in the eyes of the public.

Tara and Ashur each have their secrets. They each have pain from the past that they must work through.

This story is beautifully written. I think the characters were well-developed and extremely likable. This story has love, intrigue, several villains, plenty of angst, and hot love scenes. There is another book in this series, and I cannot wait to read about the next couple. I love this series!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Tara and Ashur’s story!!

This story is Ashur and Tara's, but what I love about it especially is that it's more Tara's than Ashur's. This author has written a feminist book under the guise of politics. And I can't gush enough about its authenticity and charm.

Tara has agreed to marry Ashur so he can look good in the public eye as the President of the United States. It reminds me of that old saying: Behind a good man is a great woman. But Tara has a secret that she can't give up yet. As the chess pieces move across the board, Tara has to balance life as the First Lady and her secret life. (No spoilers!)

There's incredible chemistry between Ashur and Tara, and there are amazing hot scenes. There's mention of many things that will remind you of today's politics (tariffs!) and gives the story plausibility. The side characters never overshadow and only compliment. It was a great pleasure to read this story, and it zipped along with no complications or editing issues.

As my first read from Sienna OMG! This story was packed with so much angst I had to stop for a cold shower! The heat radiating through the pages is some HOT HOT HOT romance!

Ashur’s and Tara’s Love is one that distance and time never dulled but what about secrets and lies? Still carrying the pain of the past Tara doesn’t know how to fully let Ashur back in and her hesitancy costs her the future she has always wanted will Ashur step up and fight like he promised he would?

Ashur so strong, sure and a sexy Alpha in the bedroom loves with his heart on his sleeve when it comes to Tara! Tara is definitely a woman I would love to know in real life! A no nonsense, go getter who takes no crap! Shes strong resilient and wants a love that goes deeper than the soul!

I haven’t had the pleasure to read the first two books so anyone hesitant about where to start rest assure that starting here won’t ruin or hinder your enjoyment of the Commander!

Tara is the commander of an elite international group that fights sex trafficking. She will do anything to save the women and children even if it means breaking international laws to get them released from their captors. She is ruthless, unforgiving and highly respected among all the other agents.
15 years ago she walked away from the love of her life, she was given a choice to leave Ashur or watch her family lose everything.
Now she finds her living in the White house and married to one of the most powerful men in the world...... the President..... the man that has never forgiven her for ripping his heart apart and leaving him all those years ago.
Will Ashur be able to stand by the contract they both signed before making her his First Lady? Or will he make her pay for breaking his heart in the past?
