Okay this book is probably my favorite book of all time.I fell in love with Ferro/Ferret the moment I read his first line in the book. His personality is hilarious and even now I still laugh at the things he says. At the beginning of the book he shows little to no respect to Scarlet or women in general but as the story progresses you see the changes in not just Ferro but Scarlet as well. Their attitude towards the whole situation grows into something no one can imagine if not read this book. I have read and read and re read this book so many times i have lost count. This is the type of book once you start you simply cannot put down. Theses are characters you can relate to not just Ferro and Scarlet but Fico, Sam, Ben, and Robert. None of these characters are perfect, they all have their flaws and things that they hate about themselves. But that is what makes them so beautiful. You can relate to them on a personal level that sometimes you don't even have with people.

I don't think I can even begin to explain how much I despised this novel. I never ended up finishing it because the characters were so terrible (especially the main characters). I hated how crime and terrible people were romanticized and the main male character's vulgar language towards EVERYTHING. It sucked.
Note: I’m much nicer with my ratings for online books that have not been published.
The smut is really unnecessary but the plot is awesome and I instantly fell in love with the characters.
Edit: this book was not even listed as NSFW when I first read it. It still isn't. Sue me for not expecting it to be porn with a plot when I first read it LMAO
...You know those times when you're reading a book and you're so utterly bored out of you mind that by the time you actually finish the story, you don't even know what it was even really about nor did you even care to know anyway? That pretty much sums up my feelings for this book.
Dnf at first chapter AND I KNOW I JUDGED WAY TOO FAST BUT THIS WAS SO BAD I IMMEDIATELY WANTED TO GIVE IT A ONE STAR
Our FL moves in a new apartment which have paper thin walls. Girly is a rich bitch YET she decided to move in a dumpster. Reason? She wanted to get away from her fam ASAP.
ok.
Guess who's her neighbour? Yes u guessed it right. So his neighbour aka the ML was "fucking this blonde chick for one and a half hour (also called gorilla sex)" author's words, not mine AND
SPOILER
shoots her.
Okay.
Our FL, who btw was having her good share of audible porn from the paper thin walls tried not to scream and put on some headphones for show and sat down on the floor.
Our dear murderer knocks on her door. Girly pretends as if she didn't hear shit. He knocks again so girly opens the door and be like "yeah?"
"Hi, candy, I'm ur neighbour"
She thinks : god he's so HOT IM WET
"Oh, hi"
"Um i hope i wasn't disturbing u, i tend to forget that someone just moved in so did you hear..."
"Oh right, good stamina btw bro. But it's fine i put on headphones."
"Okay but did u hear anything strange?"
"MHM definitely NOT hahahahahah"
"Let's cut this BS, we all know u heard me shoot her" then he threatens her to not call police and if she doesn't, like a GOOD GIRL he'll "fuck her tight wet pussy ten times better than he fucked the blonde"
Excuse me while I throw up.
He also adds, "with your permission ofc" hahahaahahha, says a murderer.
Im so done with this crap i applaud those who managed to continue and MAYBE it gets better but when u write a book, make sure the first impression isn't puke-worthy

This one was a book I remembered enjoying in 2014. Upon rereading, I can see so many problems with it in 2025. However, I think it’s really beautiful to see the improvement of Kat’s writing from then and now. The problem with this series is the instant love that came out of nowhere. There was no transition between their initially meeting where main character Scarlet thought this man literally killed a bitch and then falling for that man. She was horny from the get go, which I mean, I guess? But they had like no legit conversation until like long after they confessed to loving one another.
This deserves one star, but it’s getting two because I loved it when I was 16 years old. Old me went feral for this book and while I do not respect old me, I value those experiences 😭🤣
I actually loved this book but I lost interest in the plot at the end with the whole kidnapping thing etc so my rating dropped.
These characters are phenomenal. Tell me how I ended up LOVING these at-first-glance-douchey MMC's?!?! And I'm never one for like side character POV's BUT DAMN THEY WERE MY FAVEEEEE. Fico & Sammy we so damn fine and ugh I need to read their book. Both couples were such goals and this book was a freaking comedy roller coaster.
I totally recommend it for a good laugh and if you need a good way to escape.
This book has a special place in my heart forever, good old wattpad days hehehe♥️ Did a reread of this during spring break and while the writing doesn't hit the same any more, it's still such a fun read. Scarlet and Ferro have such an amazing chemistry and this is the mafia love story of my dreams since I was a young teen🤣 I love how Fico and Sam were introduced in this story too. And I lived for the plot twist in the end. Long live the Linguini and his favorite Candy🥰
FERRET!!!!!!! I am OBSESSED with everything this author puts out and OMERTÀ is no different. Absolutely hilarious. Literally laugh hysterically every time I read this book (I’ve reread it like 5 times). Also Kat knows how to write her men. They are sexy as all hell. Literally foaming at the mouth, I don’t think I’ve read sexier men anywhere tbh. And that’s coming from someone who’s read ACOTAR, Cruel prince, shatter me, TOG, gild, savage lands, FBAA etc
“A ogni uccelo il suo nidi é bello,” Ferro said, stepping closer to me, as I just started at him in disbelief. “In Italian, it means every bird, his own nest is beautiful. In other words...there’s no place like home. You’re my home, Scarlett.” ❤️
I enjoyed this. Scarlett and Ferro’s relationship was cute. I’m very much a sucker for the bad guy, innocent girl, mafia type shit. But I rated this high based off enjoyment. I feel like it may be hard for others to enjoy this though.
one of my best friends and i went away to a cottage for a week back before our first year of university, and during that week she forcefully (lovingly) made me read this. that was in 2019. i literally still havent stopped thinking about it
I understand that this is a Wattpad story, so I'll try to be nice. I liked the premise of the story, but it was not very believable and I feel like it could have been written better. The mafia is not supposed to be shits and giggles. There were also a lot of grammar mistakes and plot holes in the story, which I guess is expected. However, the main thing that I really liked about this book was the humor, especially the banter between the main characters. Overall, I would say its a pretty enjoyable read if you're looking to pass some time.
This novel is currently ongoing. But wow! This book is amazing. I love the romance so much. I love how the guy main character treats her unwell at first but starts to love the female lead. Go read this on Wattpad!
