Willow Andrew’s life is a hot mess.

Coming from a family of successful professionals, the fact that at twenty-seven she still doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up doesn’t sit well. It seemed a victimless lie... until Gammy announced that Willow AND her boyfriend needed to be present at her 75th birthday party. Or else. Out of time and options, Willow turns to the sexy bartender she’s been secretly crushing on for help.

Levi Sullivan has his life in order and thrives off helping others.

Fake romance or not, he’s determined to use their long-distance road trip to turn a game of pretend into something more.

Warning — the roads ahead will twist and turn with laugh-out loud moments and sizzling chemistry. But traffic should be aware, the journey ahead is far more important than the destination.

The Road Tripping series is slowly becoming of my favorite series written by Samantha Chase. Test Drive is the third installment and the second I had the chance to read. It was a very good book and I gotta say, Gammy stole the show. I wouldn't mind a novella featuring her or the Romeos.

Our two main characters are Willow and Levi. Willow is currently in a transitioning point in their life and Levi is the owner of the pub Willow and her friends go every Friday night. He has a thing for her, so when he finds out that Willow needs a pretend boyfriend he jumps onto the opportunity to be her fake beau. What happens next is for you to discover.

This was a cute story. There was a lot of miscommunication which was a little frustrating at times, but my overall impression was not a bad one. Levi and Willow were both likable characters with good personalities. Willow is a little insecure and Levi is hiding the truth from her because of that. Neither is a bad person though and I wasn't expecting perfect characters, so I was not disappointed. They are human after all. If they were real I would actually want to go on a road trip with them. They had some good moments there.

Overall, the book was a fun, relaxing read and I would recommend it!

Test Drive takes love on the run to a whole new level. Levi and Willow will rev up the heart with their flirty banter, clueless musings and heartwarming secondary characters. She's looking to find herself. He's angling to win her heart. Add in a little white lie and the stage is set to be crusin' on the highway of love. Roadtripping with Samantha Chase is refreshing. Whether you lose your way, find your heart or live out your dream, Chase will make sure you'll have fun in the process. Life is a highway and this series proves to be the perfect escape

The new story in Samantha Chase's Road Tripping series is awesome. So fun I couldn't put it down. Willow doesn't have much self esteem. The only underachiever in a family full of professionals. Oh and she's clumsy. Very clumsy. Levi Sullivan is her knight in shining armour when she face plants in front of his bar. And the journey begins there. A road trip, Gammy's birthday, a fake boyfriend, confronting her well meaning but chilly parents and the meaning of assume.. Another great read from Samantha Chase. Willow and Levi's story has a little bit of everything. I highly recommend reading this. The whole series so far is also a great read.

TEST DRIVE is the third instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult ROAD TRIPPING romance series. This is bar owner Levi Sullivan, and dog walker / nanny Willow Andrew’s story line. TEST DRIVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Willow and Levi) TEST DRIVE follows the friends to lovers relationship between bar owner Levi Sullivan, and dog walker / nanny Willow Andrew. Willow Andrew is a bit of a klutz whose parents struggle with their daughter’s lack of direction in life. Several months earlier, Willow Andrew’s introduction to Levi Sullivan happened when Willow wiped out in front of Levi’s bar. With the approach of her Gammy’s 75th birthday, Willow is desperate as she has told her Gammy about a ‘boyfriend’ who doesn’t exist, a boyfriend whose name just happens to Levi Sullivan. Enter bar owner Levi Sullivan, and the man with whom Willow will fall in love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Willow and Levi, and the potential fall-out as a lie of omission threatens Levi’s relationship with the woman he loves.

Willow Andrew believes Levi Sullivan is an overworked bartender and in this the conflict begins to unfold. Willow and Levi set out on a cross-country journey to attend Gammy’s 75th birthday, a journey that heightens our heroine’s anxiety with having to face her overly critical, professional parents. With Levi as a buffer, Willow is able to stand up to her parents but a return home forces Willow to face the truth including a secret Levi has kept to himself.

The secondary and supporting characters are colorful, energetic and fun especially Willow’s seventy-five year old Gammy whose $ex life is more exciting than her struggling granddaughter’s.

TEST DRIVE is a story of family and friendships, love and relationships, expectations, and disappointment. The premise is entertaining ; the characters are flirty and fun; the romance is passionate and sweet-the $ex scenes are all implied but Willow’s reaction to Levi’s ‘lie of omission’ was a bit over the top and didn’t warrant the reaction by our heroine’s BFFs.

Lying to her family about the man in her life turns out to be a bigger deception when Willow needs to bring him to her grandmother's birthday. The man she made up just happens to be the bartender she has lusted over from afar on girl's night. But when Levi not only agrees to play the part but also becomes her knight in shining armor with her parents, Willow only becomes more attached to him. But will Levi ever return her feelings? Or will watching him across the bar on girl's night be the only connection the two have? In true Samantha Chase fashion the reader once again falls in love with the characters from the opening pages. Honest and true emotions are felt through out the book and the fake relationship tugs on the heartstrings. Another wonderful addition to a great series.

Levi is always willing to take one for the team, “my pleasure,” he murmured, giving her one more quick kiss before straightening. “And FYI, next time there’s rogue cake to be fished out of your cleavage, let me know. I’ll gladly handle it.” The man doesn't understand his woman at times, “are we seriously naked and discussing a Disney movie because… that just seems wrong.” I liked this book, I loved Levi.

I love this series! This one is just plain FUN with capital letters - F-U-N! Willow has been lying to her family about having a boyfriend to make her Gammy happy but now her Gammy wants her to bring the boyfriend home with her for her birthday party. Rut roh. Levi Sullivan has had a crush on Willow for a while and steps up to help her. He is completely charmed by her and her clumsy ways and would do anything for a friend. Will they survive the trip as friends or will they trip over to lovers for real?

What a cute story to end this trilogy with. Even though there's a short novella short story after this one, I say for this Road Tripping trilogy. I definitely liked the second one more in this strange case, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the first and third books for these for sure. Still like her Magnolia Sound series better, but I'll definitely keep reading/listening to Samantha Chase books in the near future.

Test Drive was a fun, flirty romance full of adventure of humor. Willow needs a fake boyfriwnd to take to her Grammy's birthday party. When Levi hears this, he quickly volunteers for the job. Willow's family does not support any of her life choices. Levi is there in Willow's corner defending her all of the way. Willow and Levi have feelings for each other thay grow throughout the trip and when they finally admit their feelings for eachbother sparks fly. Willow and Levi are my favorite couple in the Roadtripping series. What a wonderful read.

This series is honestly so much fun! I really loved this story! Levi and Willow are sweet perfection! Their story is full of all the good romance stuff, hardly any drama at all, just a teenie tiny bit; but at least it is understandable and I wouldn’t even really call it drama. Sometimes you just need/want all the romance: the sweet, the fun, the flirty, great storyline and awesome characters too; and Samantha Chase delivers the goods with Test Drive! Levi is incredibly sweet and lovable, amazing, and all the things I love in a hero. And Willow is a lovable heroine, so adorable, sweet, clumsy and quirky. They are both so down to earth and absolutely perfect together. I love the fake relationship trope! Of course it always comes out how much the couple actually feel for each other and belong together for real, but it is how the story is told that really matters and this one is simply incredible!

First and foremost, I LOVED this book. Test Drive is the 3rd and final book of Samantha Chase’s RoadTripping series. Each book is an absolute standalone, the only commonality of the books is the theme “road trips”. When I first heard about this series, I could not wait for them to hit my Kindle. I have loved each book so much; I have also purchased the Audible versions so I can listen to the stories as well.
Samantha Chase changed up her writing style just a tad for this series, and I, in my humble opinion, think it is phenomenal. The series is a bit flirtier, and more fun and fun loving. Do not get me wrong, she still lets you build up some of the more intimate scenes in your mind. I love that, don’t you? Picturing the scene, the way you want it to happen after the door closes? SIGH…
Okay, on to the reason you are reading this, my review. I love a great love story and let me tell you Willow and Levi… ultimate PERFECTION!!!
Willow is a bit of a free spirit; she always sees the beauty in the world. Also, she Is also a bit of a klutz. The day Willow met Levi was one of those klutzy times. She was walking by Levi’s pub looking up at the clouds when she tripped on a crack and fell. Levi saw her fell and came to her aid. Willow has had a bit of a crush on Levi ever since. He was her hero. In fact, when her grandmother asked her about her love life, she made up a “fake boyfriend” using Levi as the man. The problem with her lie… Gammy tells Willow to bring Levi with her to Gammy’s 75th birthday celebration.
Levi Sullivan… perfection, utter perfection!! He is the perfect hero in my opinion. He has had a thing for Willow since the day she tripped in front of his pub and he came to her rescue. Levi comes to Willow’s rescue again when he overhears Willow talking to her friends about having to bring her “fake boyfriend” to her Gammy’s birthday. Levi offers to play the part, not knowing that HE is the person that Willow described to her grandmother.
During their drive down to Florida, they really get to know each other. Willow tells him about her overachieving family. She tells him about they way her parents keep pressuring her to go into the family psychology practice. A field her parents basically forced her to study in college. She HATES it. I really, REALLY came to dislike Willow’s parents! How could 2 parents, let alone, psychologists, be so clueless regarding their youngest daughter??!!! Why will they never listen to Willow and her wants and needs? Especially when said child is an adult??
I think my absolute FAVORITE part of this book, is at the brunch, when….. DARN, stop, stop, stop, I cannot give anything away. Let me just say this, this scene made me love Levi even more.
I have read, and loved this series from the very beginning, and now that I am really thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that this book, Test Drive, is my favorite of the series. Willow and Levi are my favorite couple in this series. I was gifted with a copy of this phenomenal book for my reading enjoyment and my opinions on the book. As I said above, I loved it so much I also purchased the Audible version and have already listened to it as well.
If you love a great rom/con, this book is definitely for you.
Thank you for reading my review and have a great day! 😊

Willow and Levi’s story in Test Drive, book three in Samantha Chase’s Road Tripping series, is a wonderful, amusing, smexy, and laugh-out-loud tale as two people, secretly crushing on each other, pretend to be boyfriend/girlfriend, travelling from New York to Florida for a family celebration and convincing the family that they are really a couple.

Willow Andrew struggles to figure out what she wants to do with her life when she grows up. This does not sit well with her successful parents who struggle to understand their youngest child. Not wanting to disappoint or worry her grandmother, Gammy, Willow invents a fake boyfriend. It was an innocent lie until Gammy decided that Willow and her boyfriend needed to attend her 75th birthday party. What’s a granddaughter to do? With little time or options available, Willow turns to the hot bartender she’s been secretly crushing on for help. Levi Sullivan lives to help others; doing anything for a friend. Since the day he watched Willow trip over nothing, Levi has been interested in her. He has no problem agreeing to this fake relationship; it will allow for him to spend more time with her. Levi is determined to use their long-distance trip as a way to get know each other better and hopefully turn this game of pretend into something more.

Willow has little confidence in herself which I blame on the high expectations her parents have for her. They pushed and prodded her into a college major that didn’t quite fit her, instead of letting her figure out what she does best. Levi is the perfect boyfriend, pretend or not. He stood up for Willow and took no gruff from her father. Gammy is a hoot; her love and support of Willow is apparent in every encounter they have. This road trip was filled with sizzling chemistry, major attraction, and laugh-out-loud antics that allowed Willow and Levi to have a memorable road trip.

Ms. Chase wrote a wonderful, heartwarming and amusing story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, out loud laughs, and charming characters giving Willow and Levi a chance at the love and happiness they both needed. I highly recommend Test Drive to other readers.

Samantha Chase's "Test Drive," book #3 of the RoadTripping series, is a complete standalone featuring all-new characters unrelated to the casts of the first two books in the series, but continues the same theme of main characters falling in love while taking a road trip together.

I'm a big fan of road trip romances, and "Test Drive" was a particularly fun one because it combined that trope with another one of my favorites, the fake relationship. In an effort to persuade her family that her life is going better than it really is, main character Willow Andrews invents a boyfriend who suspiciously resembles a real-life acquaintance, pub owner Levi Sullivan. When Willow's grandmother demands that her "boyfriend" accompany Willow to her 75th birthday party in Florida, Levi agrees to go with her and play along with the ruse. Of course, high jinks ensue and real feelings develop along the way, but neither Levi nor Willow is sure that their vacation romance will be able to survive the transition back to real life.

Both Willow and Levi were likeable, well-developed characters, and I found it very easy to root for them to sort out their issues and figure out a way to be together for real. Levi seemed like a kind, caring guy, if a bit of a workaholic, and I liked how close he was with his family. As for Willow, I found her to be quite relatable because of her clumsiness and the way her mouth would sometimes run away with her, but I also empathized with her because of the difficult position her parents put her in. They put a lot of pressure on her to live up to their expectations and the examples set by her high-achieving older siblings, but Willow seemed to take after her free-spirited grandmother instead. I really admired Willow for refusing to bow to the pressure to follow the career path her parents wanted for her and instead found what made her happy, even if it wasn't necessarily as prestigious as her parents would have liked.

Overall "Test Drive" was a sweet, funny, and quick read, and I would recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I look forward to whatever Samantha Chase plans to write next!

Sadly this is the last book in Samantha Chase’s Roadtripping series. I really loved this series and would love to see more of Samantha in the romantic comedy category. The laugh out loud funny finally came in this book for me, and all the way through it. From the spill on the sidewalk to the girl gossip party. I loved this one. The other two books had some funny scenes, but I didn’t find the entire book rom com worthy. This one I do though.

Willow and Levi are so in love with one another and can’t see it that it makes for a hilarious trip while they discover how much the other loves them. Before the trip, you can tell from the glances and the way they know where each other is any time they are around makes you wonder why they haven’t hooked up before. I also think her girlfriends had a bit of a plan in mind when they mentioned Willow needing a fake boyfriend for a visit to see her family. It felt kind of like a setup–good one too.

The trip to see her grandmother is eventful, as always in this series (otherwise why call it Roadtripping?). In amongst the events though, they both learn a little about themselves and each other. Willow begins to discover what she really wants to do with her life and Levi sees how many more layers there are to Willow. Levi discovers he is very much a control freak and Willow discovers what a loving man he is.

After some heartache caused by lies…I know you saw that coming, they both realize sometimes love is worth taking a second chance and forgiving the wrongs. We get our HEA in the end. I love that Samantha never makes any of her characters sacrifice anything to be with another person. She just lets them figure out how to be together in spite of the differences. This is what makes the love close to real life. You should never sacrifice something to be with another person. You both should be able to figure out how to make all the pieces fit. This gives you an equal footing and there is never guilt or regret involved.

I’m giving this a 4.5 of 5 because I finally got my Rom Com with an HEA and something that looks like real life love. Overall I loved this series. I got a bunch of great stories so overall I’d give the entire series a 4 of 5 on my scale. You should check them out for a little different Samantha.

Test Drive!

This book is the 3rd book in Samantha Chase’s Road Tripping series. You don’t need to read the previous two books as this one is a complete stand alone, but follows the same theme.

Willow’s life is in limbo. She doesn’t have a “real” job, spending her time walking several dogs and being a nanny to a sweet little boy. But her parents expect their children to have “careers” and although Willow has the degree, she has no interest in joining her parents and settling in a career she’s not interested in. Meanwhile, her Grandmother is turning 75 and the family is expected to attend a big event. Willow has just one issue. She’s lied to her family that she has a great boyfriend in an effort to get her parents off her back. Now her grandmother expects her to come celebrate and to bring the boyfriend she’s heard so much about. Willow based her boyfriend off a man she’s been drawn to for months, Levi, a bartender at a bar in her neighbourhood.

Levi has had a crush on Willow since he first met her, after she fell outside his bar. When he discovers she’s having another bad night, and what the issue was, he volunteers to accompany her to her grandmother’s birthday and pretend to be her boyfriend. This was a perfect opportunity for him to get to know the woman he’s been attracted to for months.

Neither knew the other had feelings or wanted this little vacation trip to become a more permanent relationship, and for some reason, Levi did not tell Willow that his boss was himself and he actually owned the pub!

As usual, I enjoyed this Samantha Chase novel. The characters are relatable, the attraction between the two main characters is not over the top, and the secondary characters of Willow’s grandmother and the ROMEO’s are hilarious! I highly recommend this book and look forward to whatever Samantha Chase writes next!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Willow Andrews is a disappointment to her parents. After paying for her tuition to obtain a degree in psychology, they expect her to move across the country and join their practice. But Willow is quite happy with her babysitting and dog-walking jobs while she figures out her future, thank you very much.

Willow’s biggest supporter is her grandmother who lives in a Florida retirement community. With Gammy's upcoming birthday, Willow will get to spend time with her favorite person as well as her unsupportive, judgmental parents. It also means she needs to find a fake boyfriend since she's been telling Gammy all about him for weeks. Fortunately, the bartender who rescued her when she tripped and fell outside McGee's Pub hears her conversation with her BFFs and offers to help.

A story about two virtual strangers spending a week together, with four of those days being in a car, has the potential to be boring, but Willow and Levis’ story is anything but. Willow is a little unsure of herself and a lot awkward and clumsy, and Levi loves that about her. There are plenty of laughs and plenty of heartfelt moments as these two get to know each other while learning about themselves and growing. I was a bit disappointed at the main conflict, especially since Willow was guilty of an offense similar to Levis'. It seemed like a missed opportunity, but I had little trouble overlooking it due to the terrific writing and compelling storyline.

There are so many things to love about this story! The premise of a long car trip should resonate with readers – haven’t we all had a memorable trip or two? The main characters are loveable and endearing, and the cast of secondary characters keep things lively and fresh. Especially the delightfully quirky Gammy who speaks her mind and has a case of the TMIs, particularly when it comes it intimate subjects.

Buckle up and get ready for a fun, lighthearted adventure with Levi and Willow. Full of wit, humor, and lots of heart, this delightfully entertaining read has something for every romantic heart, and you won’t want to miss it!

Test Drive
Road Tripping series #3
Samantha Chase
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think this might be my favourite book in this series, I loved Willow and her uncoordinated ways and sexy Levi he was a perfect male lead, but my all time favourite was Gammy, let’s just say she’s the funniest, crudest nana ever, and I adored her.

When Willow is invited to her grandmothers birthday in Florida, she finds herself in a pickle, with a little white lie regarding a pretend boyfriend named Levi, who just happens to be the local bar tender… yep she needs help and quickly. She’s always crushed on sexy Levi, bar tender of her favourite bar she goes to e er Friday night. Never game enough to ask him out though, because who wants a almost unemployed, over qualified dog walker and well renowned clutz.

Levi has always liked Willow, she’s gorgeous and smart and that one fall outside of his business just made her more likeable to him. She comes to his bar every Friday night, and every Friday night he kicks himself for not asking her out. He’s about to get his chance, as she explains how she needs a fake boyfriend for a week long trip… Winning, Levi jumps in, starting off a road trip to change both their lives.

Willow and Levi are nothing alike, yet share a special something, they use their time in the car to discover more about each other, not realising these clues show true feelings. Dealing with her aweful parents and their demands on her career and life choices make Levi see red. Very quickly it is crystal clear the feelings are very real, but with many hurdles to climb, it won’t be an easy ride, but a Test Drive to the future will make or break everything.

Rev my engines!

Test Drive by Samantha Chase is a terrific read ... one I devoured!

Terrific characters and a storyline that kept me reading long into the night. Willow and Levi are realistic characters that charmed me from the start. ... and supporting characters were charming and annoying (intended) ... and I'm hoping the charming ones appear in Ms. Chase's next books.

Willow is trying to find her way after getting a degree she really didn't want ... but her parents wanted. She's struggling with "what's next" and trying to stay true to herself while enduring pressure from her parents to leave the east coast and join them in their Seattle psychiatry practice when she trips on Levi's sidewalk and falls into his arms. But she's got a strong will and her quirkiness has enthralled Levi and delighted her local friends, as well as Gammy in FL.

Levi is hit with a ton of bricks when Willow falls into his arms. He's pulled into Willow's world even more when she and her friends make Friday nights at his bar a regular thing. It's apparent to everyone that he's crushing on her ... and when she needs a fake boyfriend to go to Gammy's in FL and support her against her parent's pressures, he can't sign up fast enough ... and his crush gets bigger and bigger with each mile during their road trip from NY to FL.

This book is delightful and is the perfect summer read. It's about standing up for yourself, getting past self-doubts and family pressure, and being honest to get what you really want out of life.

I received an ARC. This is my honest review.

I loved this story! Willow has low self confidence thanks to her parents. Only her Grammy stood up for her. She’s klutzy & accident prone. Now, she needs to go to Gammy’s birthday party & needs the boyfriend she’s been talking about to go with her. The only problem is that he’s fake & based on Levi.

Levi owns a pub & fills in behind the bar as needed. Willow tripped in front of the bar & fell. Levi went to help her & their “friendship” began. Neither would admit to the feelings they had until Levi stepped up to go with her to Florida.

I really loved this book! It was witty, funny, emotional & sexy. It’s a look at the way relationships should be, standing up for each other. There were funny bits, emotional scenes, & more. Willow & her Dukes of Hazard 360 was hilarious. Gammy’s attempt at conversation with Willow at the spa regarding sex was so realistic. You could just see Willow’s cheeks turning red. Gammy’s outspokenness really made several of the conversations realistic & enjoyable. I could feel my lips curving into a smile because my grandmother was the same way! Throughout the trip you could sense Willow & Levi’s connection deepen & turn into lasting love. I really think this is my favorite of these stories so far!

A road trip, a hilarious grandmother, and a fake boyfriend Test Drive is a good summer read!

Willow doesn't exactly have her life in order, at least according to her parents wishes, but she pays her bills and isn't living on the street. She may have made up a fake boyfriend to ease everyone's minds, but aside from that, her life is basically fine.

When her grandmother's birthday comes up and she insists that Willow bring her boyfriend down for the celebration Willow panics and asks the man whom she created the fictional reference from - Levi the bartender - that she sees every weekend, the man of her fantasies. Thankfully he's single and agrees to go with her, keeping up her fake life unknowing that he actually likes her in return.

Levi has been waiting for the opportunity to ask Willow out, but things get turned upside down when she misconstrues his acceptance and then continues to take his boyfriend lead for just false notions. He eventually feels so deep in the hole he doesn't know how to get himself out of it. He needs a do over on the entire fake relationship so they have a shot at a real one.

With lots of wonderful family moments, mostly consisting of Gammy and Romeo moments that will make you laugh, this is the perfect summer read.

Willow and Levi are so delicious! I adored how they have their meet cute. Willow and her friends hang out at the bar where Levi works and Willow has been admiring him for some time. Enough time to create a relationship with him to her grandmother. When her grandmother insists on her bringing her boyfriend, Willow either needs to “ break up” with him or produce him. Levi hears her dilemma and agrees to go. Holy smokes!! What?? So this might not be the best way to have a “first” date but I’m so glad they did. I love the banter between them and how they get to know each other by basically a twenty questions game. She gets to meet his family( at least one of them) along the way and he gets to meet everyone in hers. Her grandmother is totally adorable and I’m so glad she is in Willow’s corner. Levi gets a taste of what Willow’s life is all about and becomes her champion as well. Levi is delicious ( yes, I said already but it deserves to be said again. Lol). He keeps some things from Willow but has a fairly good reason. He does this favor for Willow for some purely selfish reasons, he wants to get to know her so much better. All in all, I loved this book. The idea for a road trip romance is fresh to me and I would love to read more like this.

One roadtrip to Florida and a fake relationship equals fun and heartswooning moments.

In Test Drive we get Willow Andrews and Levi Sullivan's story. Both Levi and Willow have feelings for each other, though they never revealed it to each other. Willow needs a "fake" boyfriend to join her on a trip to Florida for a family event. Levi steps up to be her boyfriend.

I just adore Willow and Levi's relationship. I love their chemistry. I love how their struggles are easily relatable. I laughed and heartswooning moments. Willow lacks confidence in herself and a lot of that is due to her parents and their high expectations for her. I love how Levi has her back. Levi is that guy, the one that goes the extra mile for his friends. I love how Levi stands up to Willow's father. I just adore Willow's Grandmother aka Gammy. The friendships, chemstry and connection make Test Drive out of this world amazing. It was easy to follow along and even easier for me to connect to the story. Samantha Chase had me captivated from page one. I couldn't stop reading Test Drive. I found myself wanting more. The dynamics of this story are amazing. Test Drive is my all time favorite book in the Road tripping series. Grab your copy and join me on the best roadtrip you will have.

Happy Birthday to “Gammy.” Willow loves her grandmother and would do anything to make her 75th birthday something special… even to the point of “inventing” a boyfriend!

Willow is a sweet, big hearted soul who would does not want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Her parents are very domineering and are unwilling to accept the choices she has made for herself in her life. Willow tends to be a bit clumsy and actually “fell” into Levi’s life when she tripped outside his local pub…he was immediately smitten!

When he found out about her struggles with her family, he became her knight in shining armor by agreeing to be her “fake” boyfriend and accompany her to Gammy’s birthday weekend in Florida. He wants a real relationship and sees this road trip as a “test drive” for them.

Willow has feelings for Levi but has no clue that he feels the same for her. Watching them dance around their feelings makes for a fun story. Will they or won’t they admit to how they feel? Will her family finally accept her for who she is? No spoilers here so you will have to read the book to find out.

Willow and Levi to be a charming couple whose banter and chemistry was fun to watch. I enjoyed the book and do not hesitate to recommend it.

Test Drive by Samantha Chase is another incredible adventure!

Insecure Willow really wants to see her beloved Grandmother who lives far away for a milestone birthday! Her Grandmother worries about her, so to put her at ease, Willow tells her "Gammy" that she has a boyfriend, whom her Grandmother insists she brings with her for the visit. Willow dreams about and spoke of Levi, the bartender she can't get enough of when she goes to his bar with her girlfriends.

Pub owner Levi has been crushing on Willow for months. When he overhears the girls talking about finding a "real" boyfriend to make Willow's made up man real while at the pub one night, Levi steps up to the plate! He offers to play the role and the two make plans and embark on a "test drive" relationship as they drive down to Florida! Their friendship turns even friendlier before they know it!

As always, Samantha Chase brings us the right amount of angst, steam, hope, humor, romance and side characters that can bring smiles and groans as well as very realistic situations! That's one of my favorite things about her writing!

Buckle up and lose yourself in this love story today!

Willow comes from a family who are successful professionals while she's still trying to decide what to do with her life. Her parents are not even close to being supportive, but at least her Grammy makes sure she's supported. Her Grammy decides after Willow tells her that she's not alone but has a boyfriend, that she expects Willow to bring said boyfriend to Grammy's birthday. Now Willow is really in bind, but luckily, the bartender she's been secretly crushing offers his help. So off they go on a road trip where they get to know each other in close quarters which was entertaining & heartwarming, especially since Willow is awkwardly adorable while Levi has a huge heart. I'm usually on the fence about road trip books because they can be slow, but Samantha Chase held all of my attention with this story, while her descriptive genius had me feeling like I was in the car, so I LOVED it so much. In order to see how it all pans out, you'll have to hit those one click buttons, and you want to know what happens. Anyway, I can't wait for more in the series and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
