This is better than the first novel and an easy read, much like a generic action film I can switch my brain off and enjoy the action/violence.
Details about weapons was a bit overdone and Cujo mentions his age and getting too old every other page. But ultimately I’ll continue the series as a break between bigger novels and series.

A decent monster book with a twist. Engaging enough that I will probably read the rest of the Cryptid Force 6 books.

Slightly better than the first, but still a long way to go

The author appears to have finally done some research on guns. The book mentions a live fire training exercise simulation but doesn't specify if it's actually happening or a 3D hologram room. More editing mistakes. Cujo spends the first few chapters constantly flip flopping on all of his ideas, thoughts, and feelings in a really annoying way. He doesn't do any fighting really until the final act, passing out at weird times and constantly having to be saved. The book seems to mention how old he is every other page. If he's that old and bad at his job, then just take him out. Ellen and Wade do nothing and are basic secondary characters. They could've been removed from both books and nothing would change.
The team has multiple last stands. Each fight it seems like the last, but it just keeps going. After the third "final fight", I was annoyed. The addition of Nazis was a surprise, but not terrible. The epilogue will probably never get mentioned again, so it was pointless. While this book was better than the first, it still isn't good. Let's see what #3 has in store.

The looniest action report

The novel had many the same problems has the first novel do it does have a few knew ones from the weapon expiation was dry has not every reader is a gun connoisseur that it would’ve left the reader clueless on how that gun was a better pick with a brief info dump on the weapon or a comparison between two weapons a chacther was choosing should have been added. Then there’s the team there all active soldiers who should’ve been declared AWOL, if they just left to join that private group and there team name was strange has there actions weren’t within military guidelines to keep there name that I think they should have changed or abbreviated it to fit there current occupation. Do the only think I did like was the nice surprise of the story opening it’s connecting to the author’s outer series.

Review of this book.

I have heard the legends, but this book brought them to life. Well written. The proof reading could have been better. A lot of errors that caused me to read the sentence again to make it cohesive to the storyline. I had to mentally change the errors to make sense of story. The book itself was an excellent story. The author really grabbed the legend and brought it to life.

Great read.

Wow what a great read. The writer's imagination and specifics came together. The unknown is always intriguing and some of the specifics are spot on. We need more of these. I don't watch horror films but these books are terrific. Could not put this down. Cryptic are always intriguing and can't wait for the next in the series.

sneaky bastards

Was it real or simply a nightmare thought. How could they be are unless it kills one of the team! That would not be a good way to end the mission !

Do you believe in devils or in a devil encapsulates!

Anything may be possible in a nightmare setting such as these
I would not want to meet up with them in my dreams or in person!

Fairly decent

Good story. Fun read.
But
Like first book there are continuity errors. Also there are grammatical and spelling errors, even at the very beginning of the book.
Needs re-editing.

Okay Not Great

This is the 2nd in the series I have read. Characters are okay but too juvenile at times. Cujo only has thoughts of his immortality, and it gets frustrating. He really is the only one that gets kicked around. I'm not sure I will read more.

What a rush of a story!!

This book has it all! Guns, romance, family and friendship, Nazi's, mystery, and finely the origin of the Devil in the Pine Barrens. You won't want to miss this one. And the whole series is yours for your long dark night's.

great comic box action. But found the interaction between the characters same as the first, so that side was a bit dull

More creatures

Another basic creature book but just not the typical creature you usually get. It was enough to keep me reading

It felt rushed and honestly got boring. The monster backstory was weak and the story felt thin. I will give the series one more book but if it stays at this level I will definitely stop reading it.
