In a world ruled by elemental magic where everyone holds the ability to manipulate one element I, Eden Montgomery, was a misfit.
My entire life I thought I was a magical dud, thrown into an orphanage by my parents as a baby and forced to work a dead end job at a magical coffee shop just to get by. In a place where everyone was extraordinary I had come to terms with being ordinary.
Until my twentieth birthday when a handsome young stranger walked into the shop and my life changed forever.
But what he said couldn't possibly be true- that I was the lost eden, a mage with the ability to control all four elements.
But when my best friend is captured by a fire wielding king hell bent on enslaving all the other mages I have no choice but to listen and try my hardest to tap into the power everyone thinks I have.
Only an eden can unite all of the magical sectors to rise up against the king.
I was prepared to master the four elements, but I wasn't prepared to fall for the four hot elemental princes who were tasked with helping me save the world.
Can I actually master the ancient arts in time to save the world?

Tl; dr - dont read unless youre completely ok with trashy fantasy romance straight from the shelves of wattpad.
This very much reads like a wattpad story (which i enjoy and is not necessarily a bad thing) in the way it presents the characters, plot and romance. I will admit I only read this for the harem (its a guilty pleasure...) and the first book does a good job at setting this poly relationship up.
I will say that objectively, this is a great example of bad plot writing and even worse character building. Much like a wattpad story its characters almost fit the stereotypical molds seen in wattpad narratives and fanfictions i.e misunderstood bad guy with a past, average girl is secretly special, etc.
The end is especially baffling as the entire novel, Eden is wholeheartedly dedicated to saving her friend who the author makes out to be kind and sweet. Only, she isn't and sleeps with the guy who not only kidnaps her but also killed her fiance? (I presume he did...idk this story is a bit loopy that idk whats ever really happening). This then leads to Eden going crazy cus omg her best friend was actually a bitch??
Lmao so yeah...dont read this book if youre expecting some amazing masterpiece with well-written characters and an engaging plot.
However, if youre like me and enjoy reading the occasional trashy romance whether it be from wattpad or anywhere else, then give this story i try. Cus lowkey tho, im kinda obssessed 😙 1/5 objectively, but 4/5 in ma heart

This was a pretty typical reverse harem read and I did have an okay time reading this. It is very fast paced and easy to read. I was just never able to develop any specific attachment to any of the characters or really care about the romance.
The plot is kind of meandering for such a short book. We find out pretty early that Eden can control all four elements in this society where people have control of only one and all live in closed communities. Eden then has to go wake up these guys that are each going to help her control one element. This set up is fine but I wanted to feel a greater connection. Eden is also trying to find her friend Jade who was kidnapped early on. This causes a sort of common problem where as the reader I have barely spent any time with Jade so I don't really care about her. This really lessened the impact of that story line.
There isn't a ton of romance in this first book, which is what I expected so that was fine. We do get one sex scene. I didn't love it because it was very short and felt a bit rote. It just was not sexy or anything to me and they don't use a condom or mention any birth control, which is a big no for me. I hope that the romance side will increase in later books and the sex scenes will improve.
I would consider continuing on with this series even though I didn't love this first book because they are fun and easy reads. I did still have a fine time reading this, it's just pretty average and my rating reflects that.
3.5ish stars. I absolutely love this author's creative mind. I have read several of her books now and they always have a unique flair added to the stories. The beginning of this story was no different. I am a little lost though. The reader does get thrown right into a whole new world, and the reveals are really slow as to the history of the world and world building in general. I didn't feel it was hard to fall into or grasp, it was more like my OCD was screaming because I didn't have enough by the end of the book. As the reader reveals come slowly to the FMC and we just kind of have to grasp and hold on for the ride.
Setting the scene: This world build, itself was quick to make itself known, but the history and the why, as well as Eden's destiny itself is constantly tied up with some mystery. Just as soon as you get some answers, there are more and more questions. The characters/people of this world all have some sort of tie to an element, Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. This is unique because people without that tie are unheard of, everyone is magical here.. well except for our FMC, or so it seems.
FMC, Eden... well she is a story all herself I'm thinking. Totally insecure at the start, barely trying to scrape by in a world that has made her feel inadequate due to the fact that she doesn't seem to have any powers or magical ability. I'm just going to go out an say Eden and I didn't exactly hit it off right out of the gate. There was some poor pitiful me, as well as some constant denial, and also some constant reiteration of her insecurities that really grated on me. Do I get it? Yes I totally do, however, Imma need you to step up, put on the big girl panties and steam roll this story for me.. mmmkkaaayy. Lol. I can see her though, totally see her trying to turn herself into the badA she is meant to be. The crazy thing is the author is putting her in all these situations that would actually justify some sort of "aha" character personality changing moment. Unfortunately, Eden seems really stuck in her ways. Gotta give it to her though, she don't quit that's for sure.
I am super intrigued about where this story is heading. We do have a really fast paced plot, a lot of insta "spark" and now I'm really hoping to get some more depth to the guys as well as Eden crawling herself out of her insecurities as the series progresses.
Me just noticing that the series isn't done yet:🤦♀️. Idk why I do this to myself. Gonna try to take my time on book 2.. unfortunately there just isn't that many pages.. *gulp*
Interesting concept as a powerless heroine receives more power than she can wield when awakening sleeping elementals that would form part of an ever increasing harem.
Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.
The Lost Eden is the first book in Storm Song's new series, Elemental Eden is a paranormal reverse harem that is full of elemental magic. In a world full of magic Eden feels like a dud, she is the only one without magical powers but when strange things start to happen and a mysterious water elemental approaches her out of the blue Eden starts to think that maybe she has a little magic after all.
Elemental Eden is the third series that I have read by Storm and this one feels a little different than the others. This time things feel a little more chaotic than before and the characters are different. The main character has a disorder and some of the guys are questionable morally.
The Girl Eden is the main female character and she has severe anxiety. It stops her from doing things, from feeling comfortable with the world around her and makes her an easy target for the cruel people in her life. I have anxiety, thankfully it has gotten somewhat better but it was interesting seeing a character go through something like that. I will admit that being in Eden's mind was a little chaotic and things were pretty bad because it wasn't just situationally Eden had anxiety all the time and because of the anxiety no kind of self-confidence. It could be a lot for readers to take in and understand, especially if the reader doesn't have anxiety. However, I loved seeing her grow through this book, realize patterns, and discover the root of her discomfort, while it doesn't happen this quickly it's nice seeing someone overcome their anxiety.
The Guys As in any reverse harem, the guys are all different. Two of the guys I really like, the third has a bad attitude and is too passive-aggressive for me but hopefully, that will change, and as for the fourth... there are no words you just have to read to find out. This is an instalove story but not. While they are fated mates, not everyone falls in love at first sight and even the ones that do are growing to like the other by getting to know the other so that's an interesting factor. I personally don't mind instalove especially when it comes to mates, that is one of the things that I love about mates, that instant connection to the one (or in reverse harems, ones) that is just for you.
The Story I love elemental magic, and in this world, people are blessed with either water, air, earth, or fire, everyone except edens who have all four. The background history of this story is interesting and the caste system could apply to today's world. The story was a quick read and very interesting but there were moments when I was confused, it might have been because I was tired when I read it but I think things could have been a lot clear, however, things did clear up for me towards the end. Other than that I find the story interesting and I finished it in one day.
Overall The Lost Eden is an entertaining new story with elemental magic that was a quick and enjoyable read. It had magic, adventure, steam, and mystery. I enjoyed reading the story and I'm ready for the next book after the cliffhanger this one landed on.
I think the world is really creative and I like the storyline, but there is definitely room for more world building and development. The story is a fairly quick read and I felt like events moved really quickly, I would have liked to see some more description of the world and the characters. Relationship building is especially important in RH and I feel like some more one on one time between characters would have been beneficial to the story.
Eden was left on the steps of a magical school, the water caste at three. She did not have any powers no matter what the nuns tried to do. Now, on the eve of her 20th birthday, strange dreams happen that occur one week every year before her birthday. Her BFF, Jade goes missing when the business Jade owns is throwing her a party. Come to find out, someone kidnapped her! All people on the planet wield one of the four elements, at different levels. But all elements exist within their borders. A man, Apollo, comes rescues Eden who wields the water caste. He introduces her to her real world…The Eden’s. She comes from a long line of Eden’s who wield the four elemental magics. Apparently, a war occurred a 100 years prior that separated the elements brought on by the fire elemental leader. Now, it will be up to Eden to rediscover her memories, find her mother, the other three elementals, and unlock her powers. She has no clue what is going on yet, and she sparks with all four elementals…but fire, Asher has her friend Jade and she will go to war to bring her home…the book ends in a cliffhanger…I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
Didn’t love the fmc Bc from the start she was very weak and kinda pathetic. I get that it’s Bc she was bullied and picked on her whole life but I hated that she just sat there and took it and didn’t fight back at all. I also hated that she magically got over all her anxiety after one vision. With so much anxiety she should have taken time to heal and over come it. I love reading the healing process in books. I also didn’t love that she slept with Apollo already. He was an incredible jerk to her. Horrible and nasty for no reason and after yelling at him once she slept with him and he suddenly loved her?! He did t even apologize or talk with her about his bad treatment of her. However, I am going to continue the series. I love the author and I hope as it continues the FMC will get stronger not just magically but emotionally as well. And that the guys will EARN her love not just get it bc of the spark. And I’m excited to see what happens with Asher and if he is really a bad guy or will he fix his ways and become part of her harem.
I wanted to give this book more than 2 starts but what the fuck was the plot? And the world building? It was utter trash. We know thag Eden has to save the world but from what? She’s had protects frozen in time for hundred and so years for what? What is her purpose? We have the concept of mates but no explaination of it at all. Apollo somehow loves Eden after a week of knowing her. Her mother abandons her to an orphanage trying to hide her from ‘the bad people’ but what bad people and why? Why was Edens powers concealed? How did Apollo when he specifically says shes the one who freed him when she has no recollection of the events, then he goes to say he’s been searching for her for five years but has only been awake for one. What was the point of Jades character switch in the end? It makes no sense what so ever, she was the most caring and considerate character in the beginning but now out of nowhere she wants Eden dead because ‘Ashers hot’ like wtf. Then again, no world building to support the shambles of the plot there is. Its just ridiculous.

The Lost Eden is the first in its series. In a world dominated by magic of the elements, Eden finds herself trying to find her place in life. Orphaned at a young age and unable to wield magic of her own she settled for a basic life. That was until she met Apollo Reef and given the chance to discover her potential and unlock the truth about who she really is.
It's not often I find myself reading adult fantasy. The moment I heard about this book I knew I needed to give it a chance. With the promise of romance and magic it really didn't disappoint. It took me two or three chapters to get into the story but once I was hooked that was it. This book is perfect for those in a reading slump or just simply looking for an easy read. This book contains short chapters and enough world building information that you're not overwhelmed. My only issue is the slight repetitiveness. With that being said, I look forward to the second book and seeing how this story unfolds!
This is the story of Eden Montgomery, a so-called dud in the magic world of elemental mages. Working in a cafe, she keeps to herself, until she meets Apollo. Apollo is sent to help her unlock her powers, but issues arise when Asher, a fire mage bent on destroying everything, begins turning her life upside-down. She has to trust Apollo and learn to believe in herself so that she can unlock the powers she so desperately wanted, and have a little romance along the way.
The storyline is interesting and keeps you wanting more. From following Eden in her journey and watching her grow in her own skin to watching as she begins to unlock the mysteries around her life and the world they are in, it keeps your interest all the way through. The romantic/sexual tension between Eden and Apollo makes you believe in fated soul mates.
This was a great start to what is an exciting and spicy series.
I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.
Storm’s writing has improved significantly between the Vampire Trials book 1 and Lost Eden.
Just like the Vampire Trials book 1 (the only other book of hers I’ve read), this book moves fast, and it ended quite abruptly tbh, but I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed Eden’s magical glow up the most! I hated how weak she was in the beginning, so to see her learn her magic and use her powers like a badass was awesome!
The steaminess was really damn hot too!
I’m so disappointed in Jade. (Don’t worry I won’t spoil anything!)
I shouted “what!” at the end because I wasn’t ready for it to be over; like I mentioned, it ends abruptly. But I guess that’s just motivation to read the next one in the series.
This book doesn't speak only about Eden, an abandoned girl who has been persecuted throughout her life for not having any magic power, no, it speaks about something deeper and more important: self-confidence. For me, it's definitely the message behind this story. How traumas destroyed your self-confidence, how people abuse you when you lack of self-confidence, how it conditions you, your behaviour, your choices, your thoughts, etc. The author did an amazing job about the psychology of the FMC! I like that the book is short, it's quite bingeable. For the moment, we get to know the guys who are all different and interesting. There is definitely more to know about them! The end is a HUGE cliffhanger and I really can't say what will come next! Good job author! \( ̄▽ ̄)/
Avatar meets Divergent with a spark of romance that rivals the intensity of Twilight The first book in the Elemental Eden series introduces us to a fantastic world of elemental powers. Fantastic world/character building combined with great dialogue makes for a great read. The world reads as very Avatar meets Divergent with a *spark* ;) of romance that rivals the intensity of Twilight. When you meet the love interests you will be hooked on this journey... I love Storms books because not only are you getting a great inventive romance with steamy scenes but she always creates vivid and strong female characters who are easy to love. Storm always delivers such rich worlds for her stories and I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
I didn't finish i don't think this book is for me. The FMC is just such an idiot it's beyond ridiculous. She reminds me of a 14 year old rather than a 20 something year old. The total lack of self preservation was ... Geeze how can you put it?! I'm i can see all four of these carriers who will turn out to be her sparks will be chasing after her as she makes stupid life endangering decisions. Everyone touting how strong the character is because for some reason they think strong means doing stupid crap , not listening to advice, and running head first into danger without back up equals strength!!!
Guess I should have held back a little some might find her idiocy charming. Happy reading!
To look into Eden Montgomery's world is to see someone who doesn't know her place, or rather, someone who doesn't quite know who she is at all. Her childhood and years as a young adult make her standing in the water caste very clear, she was an orphan who could not water magic in the slightest. She spent her days being bullied and ridiculed by her peers. Until an intimidating stranger happened upon her after a terrible accident. We then follow Eden through her journey of self discovery, power, betrayal and love. But until she can control her power, we can only assume it is going to be a rough ride.
Totally captivating. I read the whole thing in one hit and cannot wait to start on the next one! The character development is amazing, and it was great to see a more insecure character overcome herself, which is definitely motivating I love the introduction to the many love interests, although after the first few mentions of “sparks” and the 4 elemental carriers, and also knowing how much Storm loves open relationships, I kind of predicted the spark with all 4, however I am not disappointed regardless and am eager to watch the relationships with each play out. The twist at the end got me for sure and I could feel my own anger bubbling away.

Interesting premise but requires lots of suspension of disbelief regarding how literally everyone treats FMC. Author does not know how to handle anxiety being a theme and FMC is magically now confident and self-assured. Only ever have 1 fated mate but she somehow has 4 and this is NEVER addressed/discussed. MMCs are unlikeable or poorly written. Tries too hard to be trope-y but reads like a poorly written/bad fanfic. Author has a very literal/linear style of storytelling and there are lots of small mistakes that really needed an edit. Finally, the phrases Author has been added to my never again list.
Dnf 29%. I loved the first paragraph before I realized it was in the wrong verb tense and all happened in the past instead at the beginning of the events of this book, like I had initially thought. I planned to keep going with the book because it seemed like the author's ideas had a lot of potential, which just made the editing issues frustrating. But then the good moments grew increasingly rare, and I just couldn't keep going.
I just realized that this is the second time I've tried this author, and I dropped both before I hit 25%, so I'm not sure I'll be giving this author another try.
W O W! This book pulled me in so fast I had to read it in one sitting!!! Wonderful character development and world building. What happens when a girl who grew up alone and torn down her entire life discovers there is a lot more to who/what she is? Take the ride and watch as Eden begins her journey of discovery and internal power. Who are friends and who are foe? This adventure has a few twists and turns, but is filled with action, suspense and intrigue...and maybe a few hot guys along the way 😉.
So I almost gave this a 3 but I didn't because I went ahead and read the second book already. The cliffhanger at the end left me wanting to find out what happens next and the second book is better so stick with it. The reason for my wanting to give it a lower rating is that Eden is pretty pitiful and I felt like the book focused too much on her pity parties and internal ramblings. The storyline is great and has some good potential and I felt like the ramblings took away from the story.
DNF - quit at15% There’s too much confusion in the first 15%, no real world building, or even a semblance of a plot. The FMC comes across as a mental case (never a good way to start a book & not a way for a reader to develop any “like” for the character) which just leads the story to feel like the ramblings of a mental case. So, no, I just couldn’t get into this.
At my age (approaching 60), life is way to short & my time is to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
I dont know where to start. The book is not only well written, but its also executed really well. First, the childhood trauma that Eden experience showed realistically in her mannerisms as an adult, which i truly appropriate. Now the whole story trope is overused but the way the author writes it is in a way ive never really seen before. Truly a modern and spicy take on a fantasy/ romance classic. I am apart of the author ARC team, and this is my honest review.
I stayed for the story line, but the writing itself was terrible and inconsistent. It was one of those books where an error would come up in the first chapter and you'd think "i'll give it some time, maybe it was just a once off" but the errors and inconsistencies kept popping up. And the writing itself, reminded me of a middle school Wattpad story. I wanted to like this book so badly, but it just kept disappointing me.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters and world building are amazing. The only thing I kept getting hung up on was the spelling and grammar. I understand that Storm is a self-published author and that getting an editor is difficult, but at some points it does make the reading difficult. However, with that being said, I highly recommend this book (and the rest of them) because the content is really good and if she can sell enough books she can get an editor!
Love, love, love this author!! Every series takes you on a new adventure and leaves you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen next. The Lost Eden takes you on a journey where a shy, anxious girl finds her destiny, her courage, her place in a world where it seems like everyone else has their shit figured out. Oh, did I mention she meets a few sexy, elemental men along the way? Ooops. Stop questioning and go give it a read! You won't regret it. ;)
This book was ok. I found that the plot of the story to be creative but I found the emotions didn’t feel like a natural progression was truly made. It was like a flip of a light switch. One moment she was cowering with a woe as me attitude and the next, she was confident and going to sleep with her first spark who was a complete butt wipe to her. I feel if this was a longer story with more of her building her back bone this would have made the story a 5*.
This was an amazing book that I could not put down and finished in one sitting. It moved along at a great pace, making for an enjoyable read. You will fall in love with these characters and no matter what happens you want to see them happy and overcome everything in their way. This is a book that needs to be read, no doubt about it.
