Readers’ Comments
“I enjoyed a story a night over a week. Thought they were a good read with interesting characters and a strong sense of place/setting. The best story is the first story set in a shop selling keys!” Male reader, aged 61
“The author has a wild imagination providing the reader with a strange, quirky set of shorts. The writing style is pacey and easy to follow. Lots of little twists I liked, always surprising me. I haven’t been to Scarborough for twenty years; I don’t remember it being this exciting.” Female reader, aged 66
“Sort of dark in parts; I was excited to turn the page to find out what happens next.” Male reader, aged 26
“I know shorts can be a difficult sell, but I like them. They work well for busy readers who only have 30 mins to spare every day for reading. I loved the way these were written. The flow is excellent, and the author knows how to show things and not always tell. I was particularly impressed by his character work – they really jumped off the page. When this author attempts a full-length novel, I’d be happy to read it.” Female reader, aged 44

To Sum It Up:
‘A little bit dark, a little bit gritty; an interesting way of looking at sunny Scarborough!’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards

Another great collection of dark tales set in Scarborough. I loved Torupsun's Panolpy of keys and Sand Script. The mixture of past and present tales in this collection is refreshing.
