A deadly virus. A society out of control. Would you survive the apocalypse?
A month ago, a deadly virus swept across the nation, forcing Noah and his friends on a desperate battle to survive.
Now, trapped at an unknown compound by a mysterious group after witnessing the virus take a deadly new turn, Noah must fight to escape in order to find shelter in this dangerous new world.
But the more he fights, and the more he learns about the true origins of the virus, just how far will Noah be forced to go to protect the ones he loves?
Apocalypse is the third book in the Surviving the Virus post apocalyptic survival series. If you enjoy stories of ordinary people thrown into harrowing new circumstances, you'll love Apocalypse.
Ryan Casey is the author of over a dozen novels and a highly successful serial. He writes gritty post-apocalyptic fiction, throwing normal people into devastating situations and exploring how they react and adapt. He has also written several detective mysteries and thrillers. Across all genres, Casey's work is renowned for its rapid pacing, unforgettably complex characters, and knockout twists.
Casey lives in the United Kingdom. He has a BA degree in English with Creative Writing from the University of Birmingham, and has been writing stories for as long as he can remember. In his spare time, he can be spotted walking his West Highland White Terrier, has a passion for cinema and television, and probably spends a little bit too much time in the pub.
Apocalypse, book 3 in the Surviving The Virus series picks up where Contamination, book 2 left off, with Noah and his group fighting to survive a virus which doesn't play by any rules. The story continues to be unpredictable, emotional, violent and excellent! I'm not going to spoil the fun for everyone else, so no more details. Overall, 5/5 stars, if you're a fan of apocalyptic survival thrillers, you'll love Apocalypse, and the Surviving The Virus series for that matter!
This series had started as a pandemic but now is also a zombie-esque tale. It did a credible job in keeping the mystery of what was being done at the medical compound and my interest in it going. However, I felt like the characters have all become pretty one-dimensional with the exception of Eddie. The medical personnel were all sadistic and without conscience or ethics and the compound guards were all sadistic brutes. Even Noah and Kelly were just on survival instinct with not much else, though this is probably a bit understandable given the circumstances. Eddie and Barney provide any real nuance. I am kind of interested as to where this is all going, so will continue to book 4.
I smiled I feared up, my heart ran fast and I couldn't put this third book down. All characters are complex and tragic, but so how you would want them to be in times of crisis. Like humanity today, helping strangers, risking but saving. Please read this third book. It's a must!
