When he meets Noor in London, he's flabbergasted that she shares this Gift. And he's more shocked to learn there is so much more to his abilities than he ever knew.
And now, he's about to learn where his Gift came from and why there is a millenia-old battle between the Jivaja and the Visci.
Venessa Giunta is a writer of weird things, an editrix extraordinaire, and a little bit of a nerd. She is a published author, with non-fiction essays, short stories, and a couple novels (under different names) under her belt. She is a devoted viewer of the show Supernatural and was devastated when Sense8 was cancelled (Damn you, Netflix!).
She lives in Atlanta, GA, with her husband — also known as her muse — and three cats who basically rule the house, but won’t pay the mortgage.
She’s been called the kind of evil that inspires hugs.
Ken has stayed in London hoping to learn more about who the Jivaja really are from Noor. He is impressed by what she could do but worried at the same time since he did not think his role was to kill the visci. Ken is taken to meet Noor’s Nani, who is a lovely older indian lady, also a jivaja and very knowledgeable about their past history. Ken is shown visions through Nani’s eyes about the beginning of both the visci and jivaja as she told him that they were family. This is a short but very interesting book as it fills us in on the start of the two groups, as well as showing us why the jivaja act they way they do when confronted by a visci attack. Ken knew nothing of this past culture of which he was part of as his father had only taught them the basics. Poor Jivaja had bargained for her brother Visci’s life with the Goddess Inanna and she was to regret this all her life. Visci believed they were all powerful, similar to the Gods themselves and above human laws and needs but Jivaja said they were monsters and they had become their conscience. This book adds so much to the series, it’s a great addition and an excellent read.
