Rekala and Essen are under arrest, and it seems Essen has lost his fight. He feels that death is following him, and he brings sorrow where he goes. Rekala is about to be tortured by Nevib, but she is bantering. I love her character so much; she’s such a badass and rather funny too. Essen and the soldier are speaking, when Essen stands up and grabs him by the throat and delivers a well-timed one-liner. Rekala has torn the throat out of Nevib with her teeth, and she flees to find Essen. He breaks through the wall and hurts or scares the rest of the soldiers.

We learn Stagger is taking the children to Black Isle, so Rekala and Essen set on their way to save the kids and put a stop to Stagger’s antics. This comic series is so fun and witty. I love the characters so much; I can’t get enough of it.
