Me esperaba una versión escrita e ilustrada de la película de Disney, pero es más bien una versión muy resumida que se salta unas cuantas escenas. No obstante, a nivel visual es muy interesante, contiene bocetos originales e ilustraciones de los artistas que trabajaron en la película, así que para los fans puede resultar una obra curiosa.

Lol is this a joke? Worst adaptation ever. Skip it and read just the original.

There's not much merit to this book. The inconsistent tone was jarring, going from comedic to serious to whatever. The storytelling was disjointed, chaotic and all over the place. I didn't care for any of the characters even though I love them in the movie. Same goes for the art.

How is this even a retelling when it's just a (bad) summary of Mulan and doesn't complement, add to or deviate from the original at all?

¿Qué os voy a contar que no sepáis ya? Adoro estos libros 🥰. Y como tal, no podía faltar en mi colección mi historia y protagonista favorita de toda la factoría Disney.

La portada es preciosa y el interior más aún, lleno de ilustraciones y bocetos de los artistas que participaron en la creación de la película.

La historia en sí es un resumen de la película contado como si fuera un cuento. Eso si, no deja atrás ningún momento importante o icónico y divertidos, como los que protagonizan Mushu y Grillo 🐉🦗. Incluso nos cuenta alguna curiosidad sobre los artistas y el proceso de creación de los personajes.

Me parece una buena colección para cualquier tipo de público y edad, además de ser un buen entretenimiento y una lectura rápida y fresca para despejarse de otras más densas. O ¿por qué no? Para admirar el arte que hay entre sus páginas y describir cual a sido el recorrido para crear los diseños y personajes que finalmente dieron vida al largometraje.

Yo os animo a que le deis una oportunidad a estos tomos que son un auténtico tesoro y si no pues... ¡Deshonra sobre tí, deshonra sobre tu vaca! 🐄.

This was a fun take on the animated classic movie Mulan! The hardback itself is gorgeous, with a nice fabric feel and gold foil designs on the front! The book has plenty of original illustrations inside, including drafts/concepts and sketches🥰

The writing is simple and easy to read, Disney fans of all ages would enjoy this book!😊 It's a quick read, but it gives a good summary of the plot of Mulan. It's a cute book to add to your collection!

Me gustó pero creo que por el título "tesoros de la animación " explicarían como fue el proceso, (aunque si lo explica pero de manera muy breve al igual que la historia de mulán) y la mayoría de bocetos' no eran bocetos en sí sino la pre película.
Pero mulan es de mis pelis preferidas así que tenia que leerlo solo pienso que podría ser más extenso el libro

Una historia que me sé de memoria desde bien pequeña, recuerdo verla por primera vez en cines con 10 años y salir encantada y sabiendo que Mulán, este personaje de Disney tan mítico, junto a Mushu y el bichito con suerte, serían mis personajes favoritos para siempre, así que, sobra decir que me encanta este personaje, el cual está catalogado como Princesa Disney, pero aquí os dejo una duda o cuestión: ¿Es Mulán realmente una princesa? Pues no se casa con el emperador ni con ningún rey de China, porque que yo sepa no hay reyes en chinos ¿o sí? La cuestión es que ella simplemente es una guerrera con un temperamento fuerte y la heroína de muchos niños y adultos como yo.

El libro también está lleno de ilustraciones y bocetos originales que se crearon para la película, cosa que lo hace aún más maravilloso, toda una joya vamos y lo he disfrutado tanto como disfruto viendo la película.

Really thankful to my boss for giving me this book as a gift! But, this book definitely only suits someone who already watched the movie. If you're not watching the Mulan movie yet, better not buy this book because the story pace is insanely fast, the character development is nonsense. This book is just a lazy summary of the Mulan movie, basically lol. 

This book is clearly aimed for the hardcore Mulan/Disney fans or the collector. The only reason why I give this book 5 out of 5 is because I have loved Mulan since I was a child and the cloth-binding of this book is gorgeous. For the story? Nah, they could go way better (but unfortunately the glitter on the book cover can peel off, what a shame).

A beautiful edition of the bad-ass, and wonderful story of Mulan, with some gorgeous first drawings, and illustrations that add further depth to the story, and the lengths the animators went to, to ensure the story was both historically and aesthetically accurate. It is a more watered down version of the story, so don't go in expecting it to be a play by play of the actual animation, but it's a lovely addition to a Disney fans bookshelf, and a great little story to show the kiddos.

Mulan is by far my all time favourite Disney story 💜

“My, my, what beautiful blossoms we have this year,” he said. “But look, this one’s late. But”, he said, to comfort yet, “I’ll get that when it blooms, it will be the most beautiful of all”.

This book was quick and easy with beautiful illustrations.

Cuando lo tuve en las manos me sorprendió su tamaño. Desde su existencia había creído que eran más grandes, pero su tamaño comedido los hace más llevaderos, aunque quizás no para llevar encima.
Tanto la edición exterior como la interior estan muy cuidadas; la exterior, sobretodo, me tiene fascinada. Y en cuanto a la historia, es la que tod@s conocemos en un formato breve, combinada con bocetos e ilustraciones de algunos de los personajes.

A mi me ha encantado, pero quien me conoce sabe que Mulan es mi debilidad jajaja.

Mulan es mi película favorita. Soy muy fan de Disney, por lo que los libros que muestran bocetos y el cómo se hicieron las películas me fascinan.
Este libro es más bien 3'5 estrellas. Me ha encantado por lo visual: la preciosa portada y los bocetos y dibujos conceptuales que contiene el libro. Respecto a la historia está muy comprimida y no muestra nada más que lo que se podía ver en la peli.
Esperaba más de estas ediciones.

¿Qué puedo decir?
Es un cuento infantil en el que cuenta la película con unas cuantas frases sencillas. Pero Mulán, junto con Peter Pan, son mis películas favoritas, así que no soy parcial.
