She wished for death. A killer showed up at her door.

Eloise
Life left me when my family died.
I thought I wanted to die, too, until death comes knocking on my door.
Only, instead of killing me, he breathes new life into me.
For the first time in my existence, I'm scared. Because when that life is taken from me, I'll have nothing left.

Crow
I have one rule: leave no traces behind.
She compromised my identity and needs to be eliminated.
So fucking simple, right?
Not even close.
When she welcomes death with open arms, I can't pull the trigger.
Breaking my one rule would not only put my life in danger, but it would completely destroy hers.

Crowed is a standalone, romantic, contemporary suspense with tones of darkness. This is the second book of Team Zero’s series, has no cliffhanger and no cheating, and ends on a HEA. Due to language and sexual content, this is advised for mature audience only.

Awesome!

I loved this book. I am completely obsessed with remorseless killers that fall in love when they think they just don’t have the ability to feel any emotions. This is a great story and the rest of Team Zero and the Rhodes series look to be just as good. I can’t wait for more. I had already read the 3 chapter preview for Ruin, about Aaron which is also awesome, so I can’t wait for the rest of that.

This book is about Crow, a member of Team Zero, who are a team of assassins who were kidnapped as teens, have been continually drugged with a toxic drug to make them into enhanced killing machines. Background on Hades, Team Zero and the Rhodes is told bit by bit as the story plays out, Crow was the top Assassin in the Pit and wants to get off Omega before it kills him.

When Crow is double crossed and shot, he has to lay low in a small town in France where he meets Eloise. Eloise has recently buried her Mother after nursing her through a long illness and her grandfather died also so she has nobody left and she is in danger of losing her family home so she feels she has nothing to live for.

Crow is intrigued by the lack of fear Eloise displays when he holds a gun to her head. Crow decides to rent a room from her while he recovers since he has money stashed from years of being an assassin. Though they are both in danger and Crow begins to have feelings for Eloise. Excellent story with a lot of intrigue and suspense along with a nice romance as well.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Eloise broke my heart. And Crow mended all the pieces.

I went into this book completely blind. I skipped the blurb and just went for it—kind of a good idea, kind of not. There's a lot of essential elements in this series that I imagine are introduced in the first book, so there was some stuff I did not understand.

This book tells the story of alone and broken Eloise and a killer, Crow. When Crow, an assassin of Team Zero, is shot while on a mission, he's sent to the hospital where Eloise works. Crow's identity must stay hidden, so when he wakes up in the emergency room, he grabs the first near thing to him, which happens to be the nurse with sad eyes. She doesn't even flinch when he threatens her life.

description
“I awaited this moment for a lifetime. I waited for him to ignite whatever lurked inside me.”

description
Eloise has been lonely ever since her mother died of cancer. Now she lives in her grandpa's house, alone in this big world—nothing to live for. So when the same man from the hospital appears on her doorstep, to kill her, she welcomes it. However, instead of killing her, he moves in as her tenant. He needs somewhere to stay while his mates try to get him back to Britain. So what's better than staying in a secluded house with a woman who doesn't fear a killer living above her apartments.

What they both didn't expect was to save each other.

What a gritty and heartbreaking story of love and second chance in life. This is the first book I've read from this author and is in no way the last. She wrote this gut-wrenching story of two wholly broken people, but she still added a pinch of sweetness and humor.
description
The little thing doesn’t even reach my shin, but she’s barking and snarling like she can rip my bones and chew them. “Charlotte, right?” What type of pussy name is that, anyway? I shake my head.
The French.
“I’ll call you Cheerio. Don’t be a bitch. Go away.” I can’t believe I’m talking to a dog in a gothic house in the middle of nowhere without any kill scheduled.

4 stars! this one fell short as compared to Ghosted (#3) but nevertheless, its still packed with loads of action, steam and suspense. Crowed is a story about Eloise (beautiful name btw) and Crow. Both of them are similar in a way that they felt dead inside and feared no death. but things changed after they met each other. its relatively shorter but still a nice and complete story.

This one is full of action and suspense and reads very fast paced. Eloise is a nurse who now lives alone after the loss of her mother and grandfather. She and Crow get thrown together under very unexpected circumstances and this is the love story of this very unlikely couple.

The premise of Crow's background and how he became a killer was certainly intriguing. It set the stage for the unfolding mystery of Crow trying to find the traitor who betrays him. He is a part of a group of assasins who were captured and trained to kill under duress. Trying to solve the puzzle with him will have you on the edge of your seat and I enjoyed ruling out suspects from the casts of characters.

Falling in love with Eloise was certainly not in Crow's plan. Love and family was not something he ever imagined for himself. She was a threat he should have eliminated but he becomes intrigued when she seems to want to embrace death rather than fear it. After the death of her mother, she is now completely alone and has moments where life does'nt seem worth living. She never would have imagined finding the hope to want more because of a man like Crow.

This love story is obviously quite unique and I enjoyed watching both of them break down their barriers to open their hearts to love. I did however wish for more character development and I didn't completely connect with the characters as I would have liked.

Thankfully Crow and Eloise find their HEA but we get introduced to the other assasins that work with Crow and I'm looking forward to their stories.

A Few days ago an arc of this book appeared in my kindle so I'm guessing I must have signed up for it somewhere lol So I thought why not give it a shot what do I have to lose. So glad I did. Rina Kent is a new author to me so I really didn't know what to expect. What I didn't expect was to be drawn into this book so fast to the point that I didn't want to put it down until I knew what would happen next.

Crow is an assassin , kidnapped as a child and turned into a lethal killer and also got him hooked on Omega, when you meet Crow he is actually withdrawing from Omega as he is trying to get off the controlling drug. When on assignment he gets shot Crow is taken to the hospital where he meets Nurse Eloise, Eloise has no one is her life and no reason to be alive according to her. So when Crow wakes up and threatens her with her life Eloise doesn't even flinch, Crow doesn't understand how this woman can be so compliance about him threatening her with death this intrigues him. After Crow escapes the hospital he is left stranded with no place to go, then he finds a place where he can hide out only to find that the owner is none other than Eloise. The more time they spend together the more they crow to need each other they make each others life worth living. But when Eloise's life is threatened by his so called family he must decide whether to follow his heart of follow what his known his whole life that his a monster. Will he protect her with all he has or will he be the one to take her out ? well you'll really have to read it to find out. I look forward to reading all her books cant wait for Ghosts story. Very glad I gave this book a chance discovered a great story which I could not put down and also a brand new author.

Normally I find the suicidal thoughts trope interesting but here it was done first by hyperbolizing it in the most annoying way and then by reducing h's unstable mental state to something nonexistent with the appearance of HIM.
To expect something realistic of this type of books is a little ridiculous, still such a light approach to a serious subject matter made me cringe
To depend on someone you barely know that much is unhealthy even if you are a fictitious character 🤭

Seguimos no RinaVerso! Nesse segundo livro, temos uma noção do que aconteceu com o primeiro casal. Nesse livro, o casal é Eloise e Crow( amei ele)!!! Crow vai a França a trabalho e conhece Eloise. Daí em diante, segue a trama do Team Zero.

I loved it 💖
Especially Crow! I melted for him .
I loved this couple so much, they were funny and i had always a smile reading it.
Yes Eloise had ugly thoughts BUT they didn't trigger me at all , because she wasn't that serious about it , i mean, i couldn't take it serious , thanks to Crow, because that situations were hilarious for me .

I didn't read the first book about her parents.. if i will like Ghost book , maybe i will go back to it.

I really enjoyed this book , it was safe and intriguing ✌🏻

I wouldn't mind reading more about them😝

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntary leaving a review. This was the story of Crow and Eloise. It made me think of the Bourne movies and I loved it. It had action, suspense, and lots of heat. They were both broken but when they found each other they became complete. I can't wait to see what the next books in the series are going to be like because is they are anything like this one, they are going to be good.

Why does this author keep having the h think "oh la la" every time she is lusting for the H? That is so stupid. Plus, she is depressed in the beginning but raging mad with the H. No thanks!

Everything seemed to wrap up quickly with little problems. Tad unrealistic when he is an assassin and there are others that would come after him. In this day an age you can’t keep all the secrets that they all are holding. Not sure if I will keep reading.

I'm sitting here thinking: Why did Rina Kent unpublish and abandon this series when it is so freaking good?

Crowed is the second book in the Team Zero series. The protagonists are Crow and Eloise and the story is told from their point of view. This book takes place 25 years after the first book (Lured) and it's the story of Eloise, the daughter of the protagonist of that book, Dominic and Camille.

The Good:
*Eloise and mental health. I like Eloise as a heroine. She was independent and going through a rough time after the death of her entire family. Still, she was working and trying to move on. She has severe depression, but it manifests in her being numb, it's how she has managed to cope. When she meets Crow he helps her and makes her realize she doesn't actually want to die. They find companionship in each other. She finds a partner and Crow finds a home.
* Crow. He is part of Team Zero, a killer for The Pit. I felt so bad for him when he was telling his backstory. He was kidnapped as a teenager for The Pit, he barely remembers his previous life as he was made addicted to the Omega drug. He was a nice hero and he only had eyes for Eloise. He was willing to die for her.
* The whole concept of Team Zero, The Pit, and Omega is so interesting to me. Team Zero is a group of Elite assassins. Omega is the drug Hades used with the first generation to enslave them basically but the drug is slowly killing them. The Pit is the organization as a whole.
* If you were sad about Dominic and Camille, fear not because they were only faking their death.
In the first edition, Dominic and Camille are both dead. Camille got brain cancer and died a few months before this book takes place. Team Zero got to her and Storm pretended to be a doctor to make her worse and finish her off. Dominic died 5 years before this book takes place, Crow said he was killed by Team Zero members in vengeance for having created the Omega drug. This was changed in later editions. The change is in chapter 20. It turns out Dominic had faked his death, and when Camille got sick, she did have the surgery but didn't die. She was in a coma, but Dom helped her fake her death. He took her to a private island and didn't tell Eloise anything because he didn't want to give her false hope in case Camille never woke up and he needed Eloise to have a genuine reaction. Camille wakes up and is rehabilitating. Dom calls Eloise to reveal that they are both alive. They only meet on the private island because they don't want to tip off Hades.
* Cam had ingested Omega while pregnant unknowingly. I thought this would have some effect on Eloise but it looks like she's fine. They do mention that she can live on very little sleep, like two hours a night. And Crow mentioned that's similar to the effect Omega gives Team Zero members. I thought this would be expanded.
* I ship Dylan Rhodes and Celeste so freaking much. I think he was supposed to get a book but since The Rhodes series was abandoned after 1 book. I doubt it will happen but I can dream :(

The Bad:
Nothing.

Summary:
It has been 25 years since the events of Lured. We meet Eloise, Dominic, and Camille's daughter. She's a nurse. She's been grieving the deaths of her grandmother, grandfather, and mother. Her father also disappeared ten years ago (we later find out he was killed.) Eloise is about to lose the family's mansion to the bank. She had to take a loan on the house to pay for her mother's cancer treatment. She's numb and works a lot.

Crow is sent on a mission but is betrayed. He is shot. He ends up in the hospital where Eloise works. They save his life. Eloise is his nurse and that's how they meet. He escapes the hospital. Eloise puts the second floor of the mansion for rent on one of those sites like Airbnb. Due to the location, this spot was ideal for Crow. He books it and when he arrives at the mansion he realizes Eloise is the owner. He pretty much breaks in. They fight a bit but eventually Eloise agrees that he can stay if he pays upfront. With that money and working double shifts she could pay her debt.

Time passes and Crow and Eloise grow closer. He notices her numbness and depression and helps her realize she doesn't want to die. Eloise begins to see that life is worth living. She has a little dog called Charlotte who has been her only companion so far. Crow is trying to detox from Omega after Diablo, a fellow Team Zero member died and he looked at the autopsy report. The Omega drug damages the internal organs without symptoms.

Ghost, another Team Zero member is trying to rebel against Hades, he has managed to turn some members to his side, even Crow. Turns out their trouble within the Pit as members are either defecting or secretly turning against Hades.

Crow and Eloise realize they have feelings for each other. The traitor appears and turns out to be Storm. He was one of Crow's closest friends until Crow voiced that he wanted more. Storm was extremely loyal to Hades and secretly jealous that Hades seemed to appreciate Crow more than him. He kidnaps Eloise and straps a bomb to her chest. Crow goes to rescue her. After the fight, Crow manages to remove the bomb but throws himself off a cliff taking Storm down with him to save Eloise.

Eloise thinks Crow has died but Ghost secretly pulled him out of the water and gave him medical treatment. Eloise is falling into her numb state again after another death of a loved one. She finds out she's pregnant and decides she will live for the baby with the consolation she has a piece of Crow with her even if he's gone. Crow has to pretend to be dead so he is not hunted down by Hades and works with Ghost and The Rhodes to help take him down. Four months later, he finally reveals that he's alive to Eloise, this is shock and Eloise is angry but forgives him. Crow learns that he is going to be a dad to a baby girl. Eloise decides to name the child after her mother Camille. Crow proposes to Eloise. The End.

Extended Epilogue: There's an extended epilogue in Camille's point of view. It takes place 4 years after the events of the Crow epilogue. We see Crow and Eloise are still together. They have Camille and now another child, a son called Cristophe. It's a short domestic scene. They still live in the mansion and are very happy.

4.5 down for the kill stars!! Rina is a new author to me and damn if I am not going to stalk her for life now!!!

This is the first book of the “Team Zero” series. And I can not wait for the books on the other guys!!

🖤This is Crow and Eloise’s love story...

Crow is an assassin. That is literally all he knows. One betrayal and one gun shot leads to a whole new world. One who the leading star is a beautiful woman who he calls “Nurse Betty”. Now everything is changing...

Eloise had a great life. But now she has lost everyone she has ever cared about and now it is a struggle to continue every day. And then one gunshot and one assassin later and her whole life has new meaning...

🖤🖤

OMG this book is great! I’m not sure if Rina has written other books but I do believe this is her first published book. And damn if it isn’t incredible. I love reading books that have a crew of guys that you fall in love with. Not only that but they are some bad asses, and their past breaks your heart.

I am in love with Crow. Eloise isn’t so bad herself. But these two together is magical. And damn if they aren’t super hot!! Ghost is also VERY intriguing. I can’t wait for the next book!!

**I received this book as an ARC and in return I gave my honest review**

Crowed is everything I want in a dark, romantic suspenseful read!

The Good

1) Crow is hot! Hot, hot! Freaking hot! Okay, now, let's talk about something else, but Crow is freaking hot.
Whenever he was in the scene, I might have licked my screen once or twice. He just pops from the page.

2) Chemistry. Dammmn.

"What the hell do you want from me? I'm so broken."
"What a fucking coincidence. I'm broken, too."

Opposites attract has always been one of my favorite tropes. Here, we have a nurse and a killer. Someone who wants to die and the one who's been delivering death his entire life. Whenever they're on the page, Crow and Eloise had maddening chemistry. I ate away at the pages like a maniac.

3) The world. I read a lot of romance, mafia, bad boys and mobsters, but this is one of those times where the world just sticks with you. I want more about Team Zero. How those killers came to life and what they intend to do?
Rina Kent is a new author to me, and if it weren't for a friend recommendation, I wouldn't have picked this book up, but honestly? Damn. I can't believe she's a new author. She writes exquisitely and throws you straight in the action with deep, edgy characters. And did I mention Crow is freaking HOT?

The Bad

I needed Ghost's story yesterday!! Why isn't it here yet?

BUT! I just checked that a spinoff series is coming. Aaron intrigued me so freaking much in the last chapters with all the girl in a red dress and everything. I think that's coming before Ghost. I don't mind. I need to read that! I'm coming, Aaron! (no pun intended)

Rina Kent is a new to me author and she shows tons of promise with the start of this series. It's full of mystery, suspense with a bit of action and heat.

However, it started out a bit on the slow side for me and I started losing interest fairly quickly so I had to put it down for a few days. But as soon as I picked it back up, things started progressing much faster and it held my attention until I reached the end.

Eloise started out as a very depressed character. She lost the last person she loved in her family and lost her own will to live, until Crow, a ruthless assassin for Team Zero, comes barreling into her life turning it upside down. They both breathe new life into each other, but Crow is dangerous and he brings that danger to Eloise.

The plot was a bit predictable in parts, but Kent has a writing style to keep up the suspense. I did feel like there needed to be a little more character interaction with Crow and Eloise to establish their connection to make me feel more heat between the two. There was a lot of internal monologue so we knew how they felt about each other internally, but I felt like we needed to see more of an outward display of affection with them.

I’m definitely intrigued by the other characters from this story and the ongoing plot so this series will be one to keep my eye on in the future.

I can’t get enough of this author 😍😍😍 SHE WROTE THE BEST HERO!!!! Well at least the hero that i like though ~ OTT POSSESSIVE ALPHA MALE :)

THIS STORY is short but for me it’s cute love story... they meet unexpectedly but they found each other in the middle of a sudden which is great. Both are not so hard on each other when little by little they get to know one another... THE CHEMISTRY is so sweet!

- NO CHEATING

- NO DRAMA WITH OW~ DRAMA WITH OM but not too annoying.... THE DRAMA IS ONLY about the HERO’S Organization situation but again it’s not too annoying and no high school drama...

- SAFE LOVE STORY

- IT HAS SEPARATION when the hero have to do his job and leave the heroine alone for a while. The hero have to make it look like he was dead but he was alive and saved after all... DURING THIS TIME THE HERO AND HEROINE BOTH ARE FAITHFUL :)

- VIRGIN HEROINE

- NO PAST PARTNERS are mention

- HOT SMUT SCENES

- HAPPY ENDING :)

- THE HERO IS OTT POSSESSIVE Alpha male

- THERE has a jealous scene from the hero but only a few and not much.

I love Crow and Eloise🙏
I’m sorry but why did Rina Kent make a whole book on Dominic and Camille just for them to be dead in their daughter’s book😔
I love the writing but similar to the first book, i felt quite detached to the storyline- not much was happening and all of the exciting parts came near the end.
