We see what a small spark can do to the environment today, as proven in our current news, and it is easy to see how the effects of our human carelessness can destroy our homes and the environment around us.
When Henley discovers that the end of her job could mean the end of her life, she goes on the run with Buster at her side, in a race to save her sister from the same fate. The horrors they've realized continue to multiply as the two meet up with others who are also trying to escape the clutches of some of the greatest minds remaining on the planet. Their journey leads them on a cat and mouse game while the enemy continues to gain on them at each turn. Will they escape? Will they even survive? And is there any help for those who are trying to save the earth?
This story is non-stop adventure and excitement. One moment you believe you know who the enemy is, and in the next, you find out he might be sitting right next to you. And in the meantime, the world ignites with more danger than anyone can predict. It had me on the edge of my seat and made it impossible to put the book down until I reached the end. I am beyond anticipating the next book in the series.

This one was fun! I enjoy the bit of a road trip vibe going on. This one is in the POV’s of Henley and Ace; both are from the possibly shady university that had something to do with Sirena from the first book. I’d definitely read the first book before this one to get more of the story about Sirena. Plus, this book starts right after the events of the first book. I’m liking the bit of dystopian aspect going on with the water overtaking some of the land; this series discusses some environmental issues going on with Earth. Henley, Ace, and Jen have taken Sirena from the University and are trying to get her somewhere safe. The University has lots of technology to try to find the group, so they are having to deal with a lot and they didn’t exactly prepare well for their trip. Liked the scenario with Henley having a bionic hand, and with the mystery surrounding Ace. Really enjoying this series so far! Excited to read the last book!

Faded Flare is an exciting thrill ride full of mystery, secrets, intrigue, emotion, sassy lol humor and fantastic characters! I couldn't put it down for anything and stayed up all night burning through the pages like a mad woman!!! I'm completely addicted to this series and dying for book 3! I seriously NEED to know what happens next!!!

What a great book. I really enjoyed this book a lot. It definitely had a lot more action in it than the first book.I also enjoyed that you get to learn more about the characters and everything that is going on in the book.

You will probably want to split this NC17 near-future escape attempt over a couple of days as it took me about twelve hours. Sirena from Silent Siren is still trying to escape BSTU, but this one is mostly about Henley Bickford. I had an ARC and this Voluntary Review is my own opinion.

I enjoyed the new characters and seeing a new relationship bloom. Learning more about this world that ours is quickly becoming.

Life finds a way... to make this my new favorite series. If you haven't finished book one, go back and buy that right now because this book expands on this universe in new ways that makes you just hunger for more. This book focuses more on Henley a spunky human with some upgrades who packs a punch. She's all about saving her family and not committing too many crimes along the way. Her entourage which brings back some of our loved characters sneak their way out of BTI facilities on a journey where we discover so much about them. Definitely a must read.

“Faded Flare”, book two in the Climatic Climacteric series is very well written. I enjoyed the storyline and the unique characters. Most of the time the characters kept you guessing on number of things which is intriguing and a page turner. Henley and Buster’s relationship is very interesting. This story has more of an climatic emphasis on fires. It was very surreal reading the fires parts in the book because at the time I read this, the horrific fires in California were burning. I recommend this great read.
