USA Today best-selling author Morgana Best survived a childhood of deadly spiders and venomous snakes in the Australian outback. Morgana Best writes cozy mysteries and enjoys thinking of delightful new ways to murder her victims.
I’ve now read all six books in this series and loved them all. In the last one, the “funeral scene” of the murder victim was priceless. I laughed myself silly. I don’t think I’ve ever read a funnier scene. All Morgana Best’s books are funny and clever and, happily for me, there are still some that I haven’t read yet
I really like this series and the interesting house she lives in. The characters truly feel like friends and add in the occasional murder mystery. This series is light and fun to read.
Spelling Mistake: The fourth book to The Kitchen Witch series was exciting and hilarious. Morgana Best has a great sense of humor and knows how to show it in her writing. Compared to her previous works in the series, however, this one gave readers a larger suspect pool, which made it more suspenseful and hard to predict.
ExSpelled: The fifth book to this series reminded me of Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None”, obviously with Morgana Best’s style and humor. I did, however, figure out the suspect and the reason for the murder early on, but the adventure to figure out if I was correct was one I will never forget.
The Halloween Spell: Just keeps getting better. Lots of surprises in this book. The identity of the murderer surprised me, the story behind that house was enough to give me pause, and Alder’s random, brief phone calls were curious.
