Ezri's newfound balance will leave her people vulnerable.
When members of the Council lose their magic, Ezri scrambles to unearth the how and why. She has no doubt the Order is behind the attacks. And with another prophecy looming, time is in short supply.
Her search takes her to the wilds of Ireland and the origin of her own magic. Answers may lie there but pursuing them leaves her community undefended. Keeping her strongest magical allies close, Ezri must navigate an unfamiliar country and powerful ancestral magic. Can she save what’s left of light magic? Or will her efforts leave her without allies for the final fight?
Sarah is a USA Today Bestselling author as well as a licensed attorney and works for a state agency in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. When not working on her next novel or reading the latest installment of one of the many series she follows, she is busy watching TV and running a TV recap blog with her friend. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and son.
This is book three of the Seasons of Magic series and sees Ezri facing more difficulties in her role as the Saviour. She has to face more problems caused by the Order, when it seems they are taking magic from members of the Council. But it isn’t just one person that is affected, it is the whole family line who has had their magic taken. Ezri is left to figure out how it could have possibly been done, whilst also having to work out what the newest prophecy means, as she is linked to yet another one! Time is running out as Autumn is now here and the winter solstice is approaching, where the Order and their magic users will have more power and an advantage over Ezri and the Council.
She uses her magic to look into the memories of the first woman and her child who lose their magic completely and she manages to trace it to one man. Her police partner helps to link this man to a pawn shop and it seems the user’s magic is being transferred into objects and then picked up from the pawn shop by others, as yet unknown members of the Order. What they are trying to do is unknown and the bigger problem is how on earth Ezri is going to stop them from draining all the members of the Council! She asks her father to check on anything connected to her mother and her magic and family. He finds a link to a professor in Ireland that her mother was in contact with, just before her death.
So this leaves Ezri, her boyfriend AJ and her cousin Dominic, off on a trip to Ireland, where their magic was originally from. She can immediately feel the magic surging in the land, when she arrives. While she is in Ireland, the rest of the Council members are vulnerable to attack, so they have all been told to stay somewhere safe and not go out. A bit like the restrictions of the current time for all. As with this, some of them will obey the guidelines given, but some won’t and they will reap the results of their own actions! Ezri learns a lot more about the woman called Aoife, at the head of the ancestral magical family tree, through visions and even some dreams. A very powerful wizard made a drastic decision all those years ago, as Aoife and her people were looking for peace between the opposing groups of magic users. His influence on the Order is still strong and they have already tried to resurrect him and his power.
Now Ezri is having dreams with an evil figure within, who she has to presume is this ancient wizard. Luckily Aoife is able to give her some guidance in how to protect the remaining members of the Council to keep their magic safe, but they won’t be able to fix the magic for any whose magic has already been given to another. When they get back home, they immediately work on this issue, to ensure the Council will remain at full power, but that means bringing new families in, with weaker magic. As magic somehow diminishes, the newer the magic user is. Only the oldest of family lines are really powerful and Ezri now has another powerful witch to help her when needed. Some who have lost their magic, may not be happy with the decision to replace them, leaving her with less allies for any fight that is coming. Nut coming it is!
It seems the Order know exactly what they are doing, before the Council or Ezri even do it. Whether Ezri can save light magic before it is all stolen and dark magic overthrows the balance, is going to be a fight much harder than any she has undergone so far. She thought her role as Saviour was difficult with the first prophecy, but this next one leaves her with no answers and only hints about what it means. She must discover everything by herself and at the time she needs it, as none of her ancestors can tell her anything directly. She must come to a conclusion by herself and battle the difficulties she faces, with what she has at the time. Hopefully, it will all come together in time, but not without a few heartaches along the way. A shocking ending, which leaves you wondering what else Ezri may have to face in the next book! I can’t wait to find out. This series drags you in and keeps you engrossed as Ezri tries to live up to a difficult and often unwanted role. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Not sure why the writer isn't adding any growth or forward progress. Every 5 mins she's whining and crying about nobody helping her and still quick to announce what she can't do. Still won't read a book, still shouting out high school level questions, expecting everyone else to carry the load. Still acting like shes a boss, when we all know she can't do shite, protect shite, read shite, understand shite, etc. And speaks out loud about private stuff, when she should be keeping her big mouth shut! When we all know the enemy could be sitting right next to her. She lacks common sense, always screech like a shrew or fishwife, won't practice her magic so she can assist the weakest people. Has no critical thinking, no strategic thoughts, she keeps asking stupid azz questions that she should've already known in book 2 or 3 or whatever. I mean by now she shouldnt still be acting like she did in book 1 or 2. She sounds the exact same way. It's depressing. Shes weak. And her cousin being so jealous, might eventually be an issue. Jealousy leads to anger. She's not even worried about that either. She's a dumb moron. Read a book beotch. Any book. Please. Stop acting like a kid expecting everyone to read things for u. And do things for u. Geesh. Read..... anything. Start with Dr. Suess or something

“Autumn’s Legacy” by Sarah Biglow, is third book in her “Season’s of Magic” series a veritable must read for all fantasy and/or police work fans out there. Expect a real page-turner, action-paced and thrilling plot, a realistic setting, exceptional well-written characters in an captivating setting, that blends elements of police procedural with urban fantasy and druidic elements, and last but not least a enticing story, full of twist and ramifications that would keep invested until the very last page.
The Fall Equinox is approaching, promising to restore the status-quo between the forces of good and the forces of evil. If it sounds to good to be true, usually is, and Ezri Trenton like to err in the side of caution; Afterall, the Order of Samael used the power of the previous Spring Equinox to try to end the world. It pays to be prepared, because this time Ezri would have to mobilize all her reserves. The Council members are losing their magic, and soon all white magic begins to wane. Ezri’s only hope is a trip to Ireland to unearth the ancient magic and confront wit it the Order of Samael and restore to the world the magic they have stolen.
On the one hand, it's realistic to have a flawed hero who doesn't know everything and fix EVERYTHING immediately with the power of their awesome. That kind of character makes the story more exciting, tense, unpredictable, relatable.
But wow, don't give me 'too stupid to live'. The main protagonist here kind of toes the line; she's new to her true purpose and history, so her relative ignorance is understandable. But she's also so proud and stubborn that she repeatedly refuses help, misses obvious clues, and stumbles around blindly too often! I had to pause reading frequently, too frustrated with the main character to continue.
So, frustrated with the main protagonist, and the lagging speed of the plot because of her idiocy. However, the world, plot, and support characters are interesting! I just wish that more perspectives than the slow, dull main protagonist to carry the story throughout.

Erzi is mending her personal relationships. She is trying to figure out the prophecy that was given her. She still doesn't understand what it means. She is at the council building, she learns about Desmond. While speaking to Desmond, there is an emergency. Someone's magic is from an entire family. There is more than one attack. Ezri will start to look into magic blood lines and what it means. Ezri learns she will have to look to the past, in order to fix what is going on.
There is so much more that happens in this book. I did not write about it as not to give anything away. This is a non-stop action, the character will learn more than she expected. You will enjoy this story, recommend reading this book

This book "Autumn's legacy" is the third book in the series: "Seasons of magic" by the famous author Sarah Biglow.
It features Ezri who, following a loss of magic to board members, will do everything to find out where it came from. She knows, it comes from the Order. And with another prophecy on the way, it is imperative that this be remedied as soon as possible. She will travel to Ireland to find out where her magic comes from, leaving her friends helpless. She will have to travel to an unknown country and will have to call upon the powerful magic of her ancestors. Will she succeed in saving this magic?
A third book read in one go, so much so that I hooked on the story so captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with very endearing characters. I hope that there will be a book four and that the series will be released in complete box set.
Ezri is the newest in the long line of powerful witches, and has been named the Savior. With the help of her lineage, locked into her pendant, and her close friends and family, she is figuring out a course of action to protect those around her. The characters are deep with backstories, emotions and powers unique to them. The locales of the U.S. and Ireland are a nice addition to the plot. Emotions and tensions are intense as twists and surprises come in from all directions, like lineage magic being stolen, death, attacks, dreams, and talks with foremothers. The ending is abrupt, with still lots of questions and I can not wait for the next book to find out what is happening at winter solstice.

Really enjoyed reading the third book in this fabulous series, a feisty female lead character always has my vote and this blends two of my favourite things, crime stories and paranormal stories, to make a great combination. The storyline was engaging from start to finish, the book was well written and the characters were diverse, well developed and really packed a punch, it was like they were brought to life. Filled with crime, mystery, intrigue and plenty of danger I had no problem reading in one sitting, I made sure to start reading in the morning. I most definitely am looking forward to more books by Sarah Biglow, especially this series.

A Wonderful Adventure “Autumn’s Legacy” is a fast-paced, action-packed, suspenseful tale of good and evil that balances the world of magic. The characters are exceptional and well-developed to steal your heart and hold you breathless through this imaginative tale. The scenes are vivid and exciting adding to the wonder of this story. The twists are surprisingly well placed to hit you when you least expect them and keep invested until the very last page. I highly recommend this tale.

Erzi is back and while trying to mend her connections to the magic world, a mystery pops up again and she is on the case to discover what is going on this time. Does it tie into the new prophecy? How does the past and her ancient magic lineage factor in? There was action, mystery, suspense, danger and lots of wondering what was going to happen next in this story. Just another well written story that draws you in and keeps you reading to the end to see what Erzi will face this time and how she will solve the mystery.
Autumn's Legacy is the third book in the Seasons of Magic series and is an entertaining urban fantasy read.
I am really enjoying this series. Ezri is headed to Ireland in hopes of answers when some Council members lose their magic. This is a great series for any fans of urban fantasy. Winter solstice is yet to come and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

This book deserves a 5 star rating simply for the plot. Things keep on moving at a consistent fast pace & keeps the reader guessing. The book is written well and I could feel the characters pain, anger, frustration & helplessness.
The only thing is that there are moments where the impact is lost. Moments of disconnect from the characters and the story.

This hurt my heart. I can't believe he saw his own death but did not warn or tell her. I thought it would have been her dad that the Order was going to murder. (Will write more)
