Killer Pointe

Rate this book
Here are the two most important things to know:

1. I am going to be a professional dancer.
2. Every fairy tale you've ever read is a lie.

A prince didn't rescue Rapunzel from her ivory tower nor did a huntsman save Little Red Riding Hood from a voracious wolf.

I did.

The men might get all the credit for it but I'm the one who makes bank. Sure, the official versions of these stories are altered in books but I’m good with that. I have bigger goals—like Juilliard School type goals.

Shifting between my world, with its ballet classes and homework, to the parallel world of Liralelle, with its witches and trolls, can be jarring at times but I’ve gotten the hang of it. That is, until the day a troll crashes my Sleeping Beauty audition and I’m asked to kill the most fearsome witch of all. Yet the pay for this final job will cover my entire Juilliard tuition—if only I can live long enough to make it there.

ONE SENSATIONAL JOURNEY!!!
Hatching hellhounds! Kristi unleashes one killer storyline and gripping plot, spinning this skillfully composed piece of perfection, imparting every sentiment, essence and nuance as lines blur and boundaries are broken while reality gets bent and balanced, wrapping this baby up seamlessly. Rolling with the drama, turmoil, intrigue, underlying threats, danger, spiraling suspense and precarious situations, along with a boatload of sass, you have one intoxicating masterpiece. Quirky mishaps and surprising happenstance, display the heart pounding trials and breathless tribulations, along with stunning twists and wicked turns testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. Dynamics and countenance in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuine relatable personalities. The scenes are written with such realism, impressive passion, imagination and unique insight, blasts this sparkling jewel wide open, making the storyline pop. Amazing job Kristi, thanks for sharing this treasure with us.

A fast, fun and very clever story. Imagine being a relatively normal teen, obsessed with ballet and getting into Julliard in our world, while being an on-call assassin/problem solver in another. Meet Bree. She was born in the alternate world, brought to ours after her family was murdered by an evil being in the other one. Every so often, she's summoned by a dark vortex back 'home' to deal with a baddie, but there's a twist, a very interesting one that revealing would be a spoiler. Her missions, coupled with an audition for a leading role in a ballet production, inch closer and closer to turning her life into utter chaos. Add in trolls, fairy tale characters, a couple of her friends getting pulled into the secret part of her life, coupled with a huge surprise or two at the end, and you have the perfect literary escape for anyone loving well crafted urban fantasy.

Great Adventure Story! I HIGHLY Recommend This Book!

This book was brilliantly written by author Kristi Helvig. The characters all come to life in this modern world/parallel universe fairytale story where the main character is actually an assassin in Fairyland. You will not want to put this book down! It is an epic adventure that will have you squealing in delight at every twist and turn of the story! I could see this being a fun movie especially for young adults (though, people like me in their late thirties would also enjoy it)! Well done!
