No victory is worth the blood of the ones you love ...
Threats have unpredictable outcomes with Francesca. With the looming danger, she does the unexpected again. Much to Zoltan's dismay, she has risen Soren, the one uninterested in anything but his own peace.
The Fae is awake and determined to indulge the one giving him a new will to walk among the living. But the moral compass between him and Francesca when it comes to everyone else differs in many ways. Enough to make the half-blood regret her hasty decisions.
While Drake is struggling to justify waking the powerful Dragon Blood, Zoltan is fighting a war of his own. The evil has extended its reach, but it is no match for a ferocious Daywalker determined to protect his mate. He will not give up Francesca even to save them all.
Will the den of the beasts finally meet its end from within?
Incensed by the injustice of it all, Francesca is barely reining in her wrath…

Infuriated is the fifth book in the Daywalker Academy series, and it should definitely be read as a series, or you just won't understand the nuances of what is going on.
We start where the last one ended almost. Franky is hiding out with Myst, and Tenebris is keeping her company, whether she wants it or not. That's okay until Myst has had enough and lets Zoltan know where she is. Franky returns to the Academy with Zoltan and the fun starts.
There is a lot that goes on in this book - like the others in the series. You have to hold onto your hat and follow it word for word, or you may get lost. Ms. Daniels certainly knows how to write an amazing fight scene and I love how Franky reacts and copes when someone attacks her, even if they think they are protecting her.
Unfortunately for me, Franky also annoyed me slightly in this one. She was full of how Roberti knows her and pushes her buttons, so she needs to stop and think. Only trouble is, at the first opportunity, she throws that out of the window and goes off by herself to do something she's already been warned about. I know it describes Franky's character (as well as helping the story to move along) but seriously? Listen to yourself and maybe hesitate for just half a second before you go rushing off!
Overall though, it was a fantastic story with Tenebris and Zoltan still remaining my firm favourites. I absolutely recommend this book, the whole series, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Franky awakens in the home of Myst where she asked to be hidden from the others. She believed they would not forgive her for killing her brother. Myst finally lets them in and Zoltan comes for her! She is humbled by how much they truly care for her…especially her mate. She will finally give Zoltan what he has wanted all along…but by doing so will unleash something horrific…will she be able to accept it? So many fights occurring…as a distraction? The three board members MUST be dealt with once and for all…so, Franky awakens Soren! Just as deadly and powerful as he is beautiful…no one truly knows what his endgame seems to be…but his manipulations to get there are going to cause trouble. Now, all of them have to gather to face the trio running the school, Franky will face a part of herself yet to be unleashed, and three of the others will HAVE to step up to the plate and take positions they do not want. Another fun-filled journey for the group as they seek to end their one true enemy – Roberti! This is the best book in the series yet…Congratulations Maya Daniels you outdid yourself once again! I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
Franky is, well she's infuriated! She wants the board members heads for making her take her brothers. Myst is back - Yay!! And helping to hide Franky while she adjusts to being a Daywalker, especially when around the humans. Buy soon enough Daren and Leo catch up to her, which leads Zolten to her front door. He reminds her that they will always be there for her and as the pages turn, you see her starting to believe that and to accept help ~ which is a big deal for her! With the evidence growing that the board are working with the jerk Roberto, Franky wakes up the lazy Soren to make him help out ~ and boy does that get interesting! I'll leave all those bits for you to read for yourselves! Yet another fantastic addition to the series - can't wait for book 6!!!!!!!!
Have you ever binge watched a tv show that has a million seasons and you just get bored. The characters get repetitive. The problems get repetitive. And the story seems to go nowhere. I am at that point with this series. Its good but I am so tired. The good guys have a plan. Plan backfires. They realize that they missed important information. Just to happen all over again. I loved that the romance was going somewhere but they play hot and cold so much that it's not even enjoyable to read. She gets mad because he's too controlling. She tried to push him away. He doesn't move. They have sex. All is forgiven for a short time until it starts again. I am going to try to get through the last book but considering it took me 17 days to read 180 pages... I think this book will end the series for me.
This is the 5th book in the series. And Maya Daniels never disappoints. This book was action packed from the first page till the last. This author doesn't just write books. She tells stories and she does this with so much talent you can not put the books down. All the gang are in the fight of their lives. Frankie and Zoltan finally blood bond. Frankie knew he was her mate but due to her rough life she was afraid he would break her heart. Frankie has had enough, so she goes and wakes Soren up. Boy she has no idea what this will mean. And the description the author gives when he wakes and gets out of bed.... Well let's just say who would think someone who was thousands of years old would look like him. I think my mouth hit the ground when I read this. They figure out the board is working with Roberti. When Soren hears this the fight is on. He says he will kill them all but first he has to get replacements to take over the board. The group steps up and offers to take over where they are needed. The battle that starts is just unbelievable. It's a fight to end all fights. During this battle Frankie sees Zoltan as he really is. He is in his original form and he didn't want Frankie to see his real form. But when she does she tells Zoltan...I want the bond. Then Zoltan knows she accepts him for who is really is. I don't want to give away any spoilers, at the end of this book they are getting ready to go after Roberti. This book is my favorite so far in this series. When you get a book filled with suspense, paranormals, action packed and page burning heat, to me that is a great book. But if I can not put the book down and I stay up most of the night to read it. That is absolutely an epic read!!!!!!! And that's exactly what I did. This author will grab you and you will be hooked. She has such an amazing writing style. And most books I find that I really like one or two characters. But her books.... I loose count of how many characters I absolutely love. To me this is a one click author. I would click any book she writes immediately.
Franky ran to the human realm to get help from Myst after what happened at the academy. She is out for revenge, she wants Roberti. Myst is trying to help her blend in the human realm, Franky is having a hard time with it. Franky is out in the mall, when a human approaches her. Things go sides ways, she sees two people she didn't want to. Daren and Leo located Myst magical signature, followed to where she was. The group is attacked by hunters, Franky is hurt. When she wakes up, they tell her what happened. She hears a motorcycle and knows it is Zoltan. Myst forces her to go to him. He talks her into returning to the academy. Franky realizes that Roberti is playing the long game and knows how she will react. She goes over things with Zoltan. Zoltan takes her to a location to see what one of the board members is doing. There is a a commotion, they break down the door. What they see is beyond what they were expecting. There is also a hunter there. Franky is fighting the hunter to protect the board member and she was hurt again. Franky awakes in a strange room with Leo watching over her. He explains what has happened. Zoltan has tasked him with keeping her in the room. Franky gets it in her head to wake Soren. Leo tries to talk her out of it. Franky doesn't listen and she will live to regret it.
That is just a tidbit of what happens in this book, there is so much more. There is so much action, things that come to light. Franky learns about Zoltan and what happens if the board members pass and so much more. This book grab you as soon as you start reading it, you honestly will not want to put this down. I recommend reading this book or the series if you haven't. You will not regret it at all.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.
DNF. I desperately wanted to like these books. I love all the characters except the FMC. All of Franky's friends have bent over backward for her, yet she never listens to anything they have to say. She nearly dies over and over, and her friends tell her how much it hurts them, but she doesn't care and immediately jumps right back into doing dangerous things. She cares about no one but herself and her mission. She thinks that she's the smartest one there is despite commenting on not being given an education on their world. She refuses to listen to anyone's reasoning even though all of them are centuries older than she is. I finally quit when she almost died, again, while Daren almost died trying to keep her alive until Myst could heal her. Then, while she's off balance and dizzy from that near-death experience, she's able to best a centuries-old alpha and run away from him to do something dangerous, again refusing to listen to others knowledge on the very subject. I call BS on this bitchy Mary Sue.
Sadly, I will never discover the little threads that kept being dangled in front of me because Franky never wanted to ask questions. 1.) Who killed her father and why? 2.) Who is Zoltan? (Everyone wonders if she knows who he is but she's too special to care and find out.) 3.) What's does Serpentine do? (The fae say it's extremely rare and look at it like it's the One Ring. It almost killed her, which she tells the person who she is going to give it to. A person who has said that she works for herself and should not be trusted. But hey, that's for future Franky to worry about. Her father had to have given it to her for a reason, right?!) 4.) What is Myst? 5.) What happened between Myst and Fenrir? All these things kept me slogging through with Franky. If anyone has these answers I'll send you lots of virtual hugs because, stick a fork in me, I'm done.

The 5th book in the DayWalker series - Infuriated, is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. This series only gets better with each and every book. You will not want this book to end and look forward to the next one. Francesca is trying to take her life back and finding it harder with each passing minute. Doing what she thinks is right she wakes the one person who she thinks can help her in this ever-growing insanity. Soren is not what she expects at all, and to her dismay, Zoltan still wants her as well. Neither men cower or avoid her wrath. What storms are brewing on the horizon for this new "family" that Francesca has made for herself? Will she be able to control and contain the new dragon blood powers within? Pick this book up, you will not regret it. A page-turner that leaves you breathless.
I’ve been really enjoying these books so far. I really like Zoltan as an alpha male! The other characters in the book like fenrir and Soren keep me entertained while I’m reading too! I would have given this book 5 stars but Franky is a little annoying, especially when it comes to Zoltan! You can clearly tell that they are mates, but yet the words aren’t really spoken in any of the books, although the author finally talked about them being bonded, which I didn’t really get. Overall I’ve really enjoyed this series so far and I’m looking forward to reading the next instalment when it comes out!
Things are heating up in Franky’s world, and she has decided the board needs to go. So Franky makes some decisions. Some are harder than others, and one or two are decisions she may just be regretting...
This is the fifth installment in the ongoing daywalker series, and there are some pivotal changes in it. I don’t want to spoil the surprises, so just go ahead and read it!
It’s a great series, fast paced, action packed... a little violent (as seems appropriate for vampires, shifters, and dragons) but there you go. It’s not inappropriate though, and there is some romance to balance things out!
Recommended for those who enjoy urban fantasy and paranormal romance.
I have to say this book disappointed me a bit. At this stage of the game I feel like more answers than questions should be arising and I felt like every time there was something important that needed to he discussed it was another “it’ll have to wait for another time”. It’s quite frustrating. I have it 4 stars bc I love the series as a whole but I don’t like that Franky is still so easily manipulated by everyone around her, doesn’t stop to demand answers, and is blindsided more than not bc she just accepts that everyone around her is controlling her life. I like a stronger FMC normally but I wooo finish the series nonetheless.
Omg!! This series I swear gets better and better! I loved every single second of this book; I couldn’t put it down
The drama continues for Franky, Zoltan, and gang only this time they added a new player. Franky decides it’s time to wake up Soren and lets just say things take off pretty quickly from there.
I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to give anything away, but as with the other books it’s full of action, drama, sexiness, and twists at every turn. I’m really enjoying this series. I cannot wait for the next one!
The two things that you'll regret when you pick this book up, is 1) putting it down and 2) it finishing! I need the next book! Franky and Zoltan make some progress in their relationship. With her finally admitting her feelings. Soren is one to unravel, gonna have to get to know him. He is a wild card. Trying to work out a way to deal with roberti, means Franky makes some rash decisions. Will they work in her favour? I'm hoping the next book will answer that...
I gave up in the end... after 4 books, i could not take another growl from the MC, all his personality completely washed away to reduce him to a silly stereotype of a weird alpha, all the stupid monologues from the FMC (like "my problem is I am impulsive, so i do something impulsive even if i know is wrong because i am really strong and independent") and also everyone pushing her behind backs to do not sure what... the curiosity to know what happens in the end is really not worth it!
Wow oh wow. A steamy tale of betrayal and of course infuriation. The supernatural meets real life politics on steroids in this book of the series. So much action, drama, and romantic interludes to carry you on one rocky wave to the next as you turn each page. A really good book as usual by Maya Daniels.
Book hangover is so happening with this series!!! Book 5 and it's still rolling out punches and keeping you excited!! If you haven't started this series you must! If you like a story that has it all like the vamps, fae, shifters, magic and the like plus action and strong leads you can't go wrong with these books!!!
Holy mackerel! So many things going on at once! Franky should have listened to Leo and left Soran alone. But, Franky being Franky, she goes to Soran’s room and threaten to kill him if he doesn’t wake up. I think she got more than she wanted with that arrogant Fae/dragon blood.
5 Star - Couldn't put this book down. Its stay up late reading and be late to work good. 4 Stars - Couldn't put this book down but I still got a goodnights sleep 3 Stars - An enjoyable read that took me a few days to a week to finish 2 Stars - An okay book that I struggled to get through in places - next book is still on my TBR list 1 Stars - DNF
After 5 books I'm still in love with this series! The characters and story are still growing as we go along. Tidbits we have wanted to know are getting answered at the same time more are getting hinted at. As always the humor is plentiful! I'm now a fan of sparkling unicorns;)!
Be careful what you wish for. Waking Soren should solve the Academy's problems, but what if waking him creates a whole new set of problems? The book was fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat.
Franky can't find a moment of peace. She's either fighting or fighting for her life. When Soren wakes up, things get exciting. A couple twists make things interesting. I love the suspense and intensity of this series.
This is the 5th book in the Daywalker Academy Series. Franky is one pi$$ ed of female. In this book things become much more interesting. Franky wakes up Soren to help figure out what is going on. I can’t wait to read the next book!!!!
This keeps getting better and better! I know I've said this before, but it's true! Each book is phenomenal! Maya, just keeps throwing things in that make it outstanding! Her imagination is amazing! I absolutely love this book and series! I highly recommend this book.
I'm not done with the series yet but I can say with absolute truth that this series so far is in the top 3 I've read and I read A LOT of series books. Highly recommend.
