A good read

I should first say that I met Ms Harris on Twiiter as we both commented on another author's post and have continued to make comments on her posts. Whether she reads them is unknown. I had not read anything of hers before so she can thank, or blame, Kevin Hearn for this review.

Secondly, I would not have written this plot in this manner...and thank god because I doubt anyone would have read it. Both of the main characters are easy to like and believable. Who would have thought, a somewhat sensitive vampire with emotions and self doubts. (Ok, my sis-in-law probably but...)

In any case, a pretty good plot though I would say it doesn't follow the standard English rise and fall. As an English teacher, I like a little deviance... FROM THE ENGLISH RULES! Jeez, you people...

There's more to tell in this story but I'm not sure it's in book 2 of the series from the notes I read. I'll read it anyway. I mean really, werewolves and the fae. Might be relatives of mine. 😁

All In!

I was sucked in immediately. Did I say that about a vampire book? I did and the pun was a happy accident. Well written story line that had me thinking I knew what was going to happen and then proved me wrong. I loved reading something had me constantly looking up words. It’s been a while since I’ve had to do that. It’s refreshing. Thanks for another great read, Carrie. On to Prey, it is.

Thrall is a paranormal romance involving the crown prince vampire and his newest thrall. Liss is the 21-year-old daughter of Gregor's family of thralls. The book begins with her making her court debut. When Liss enters the room the air shifts between her and Gregor. Their chemistry is amazing and electric. I enjoyed their interactions. What follows is a chain of events that lead to changes in power, reveals in magical abilities, treachery, and just maybe, love.

I enjoyed Thrall. The characters were interesting and written well. I enjoyed their development throughout the story. The world-building allowed me to imagine the scenery and feel the emotions of each character. The only issues I had were the abrupt changes in the scenes and the continued miscommunication between Liss and Gregor. I had to re-read several sections because the thoughts changed to abruptly that I thought I missed something. When addressing the nobles and the rest of the court, Gregor made some announcements that affected Liss but he didn't discuss them with her first. So, now we have a 21 year-old thrall trying to pick the announcements all apart and figure out what is real and what is fake.

The story might be over 200 pages, however, the book reads quickly. I enjoyed the characters, story, scenes, and writing of the author. The book quickly fills with suspense, and I was on the edge of my seat during certain situations. If you're looking for a book filled with vampires, politics, suspense, and romance, grab your copy of Thrall.

Thrall

Wow!!! What a story. Vampire politics is so confusing. But this is a love story between a vampire Prince and his new thrall. I'm looking forward to reading the next book. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up

Liss Lorensson a beautiful young woman was to become a Thrall to Gregor the vampire King of Vegas. It was something that she had been born to as were the rest of her family. Being a thrall involved not only working for a vampire but also feeding them. I don't really like to give anything away in reviews, but this was a fantastic read, though vampires are my favourite of the supernaturals. The plot has is filled with murder and love among other things highly recommended read

All of the stories in this collection of supernaturals were so good. The characters were relatable and the storylines were interesting and exciting. From vampires, humans, werepeople, elemental mages to angels and some in between, Las Vegas is full of good stories.

Thrall

It was a 4 star book . It's good but lacked the pizzazz of a 5 star book. Of course my review could be because of my mood or the lack of a spark between the lead couple . So read it and decide for yourself.
