There was a lot more "you need the right mindset" and fewer concrete tips than I was hoping for. It is really more of a self-help motivational guide than a book about languages, and a lot of it is salesmanship for the author's language programs. The last part isn't necessarily bad, I can't judge without seeing those programs myself, but it had no effect on me since my preferred language isn't a part of that system. It wasn't a complete waste, but I can't help but feel that the time I spent reading the book would have been better spent on just learning more of the language. It is probably best read by someone who thinks they want to learn a new language but just can't bring themselves to start than someone who is already working on it.
