Favorite Quotes:

I let out a heaving frustrated sigh. One that feels like it’s come from the depths of my soul where I store all my secrets.

The goofy grin now on his face sends a wave of mortification through me. I can feel the heat start at my feet and quickly make its way to my head. I probably look like a thermometer with both a bright red face of humiliation and bright red hair.

The next pose is anything but easy as we lean forward, butts in the air, hands on the ground, and sweat dripping onto our increasingly slippery mats. Jason doesn’t hold back and rips a fart right next to me. ‘Sorry,’ he says out loud as the room pretends it never happened. ‘Perfectly normal,’ Stella says. ‘Perfectly normal is far too correct,’ I mumble to Jason who laughs under his breath.

Yep. They say you gotta kiss a lot of frogs and, well, I don’t want to anymore… The right frog is supposed to turn into your prince according to fairytale law. But I think mine got run over by a truck or something.

‘I pinkie swear.’ She holds her pinkie in the air in front of me… Don’t tell me you’re never pinkie sworn before?’ ‘I’m a thirty-two-year-old dude. Of course, I’ve never pinkie sworn before. Is it like crossing my heart and hoping to die?’ I do the cross my heart motion and point to the sky. ‘What the hell was that?’ she asks with a laugh. ‘There is no dying involved in pinkie swearing. Just link your pinkie through mine. It’s binding. If we were Japanese and I broke the pinkie swear, I’d have to cut off my pinkie or let you cut it off or something morbid like that. It’s the real deal of promises…’

My Review:

This was good fun and wicked funny, I giggle-snorted most of the way through and laughed aloud several times. I adored these quirky characters, even the obnoxious ones, well, maybe not the exes, but I was totally enamored with the endearing main characters who gave good banter and clever inner musings. Written in a dual POV, the writing was original, irreverently witty, keenly insightful, delightfully amusing, and sparked sharp visuals across my cranium that kept me smirking with glee.

The storylines pulled from several genres including my favorite, women’s fiction, as well as romantic comedy and considerable family drama. I relished every clever word of this engaging tale and am now stalking, coveting, and scheming to amass all her books, past and future. I have a new author to fangirl as she just shot to the top of my favorites list.

REVIEW

This was such a fantastic RomCom and I’m glad I got acquainted with this new to me author, of whom I know want to read MORE. I devoured the book within 2 sittings and I’m sad it’s over.

These characters stole my heart right from the start. They were so much fun to read about and made me want to be a part of their world. In general, the entire set of characters was really great I think. The minor ones were present a lot and really added more depth to the story and its development. I love that < This way, it definitely wasn’t only about the MC’s and their romance (which was all really well developed the romance and the characters), but Family is also a strong representative element and I loved that too.

What I also love that it’s a bit low on the romance drama; something you don’t come across often in romance book. I don’t mind a lot of drama, but I really love romance books like this one as well. There’s still a lot happening though, so don’t think I mean that it’s boring or anything because it’s far from it! But I meant by it that the developing romance was just really cute and without too much drama. It felt realistic and that’s what I love so much about it! These two MC’s were definitely MFEO < Made For Each Other.

2 Minor things that I had some remarks on
and why I gave the book a 4 star rating instead of a higher one :

- I didn’t really understand the presence of the dog. I am such a huge dog lover and Love reading about them in books, but I just don’t think that adding George to it was a good choice > The story-line, the situation just wasn’t a good fit for a dog I think. A Dog doesn’t really fit into the MC’s lifestyle, and even though it sometimes was fun to read about George the Dog, I think it would’ve been better in this case to left him out entirely in my honest opinion.

- I missed a bit more closure with the Liam/Chris situation. I came to like the development of their background story and in the end it felt a bit unfinished I guess.

Conclusion
Overall, this is a book I’d Highly recommend if you not only like to read a Laugh Out Loud RomCom but also like it when there’s more focus on other elements as well < like in this case the Families of both main characters as well as the friendships that we read about.

It’s a cute and funny (as in: It definitely has a good amount of Laugh Out Loud moments) and fast-paced. This is a perfect book to pick up if you want a very well written RomCom that sweeps you off of your feet instantly!

Aimee Brown is back with another knockout romance. A wedding gone wrong. Chance encounters. Tons of flirting. Competitive mini golf. Truly, Brown has found all the right moments—sometimes tender, sometimes wacky—for an enchanting read.

Parker and Liam are seemingly made for each other. Brown immediately infuses their scenes together with palpable chemistry. There’s a definite connection, even if they’re both hesitant to pursue it, and Brown knows how to deftly build up tension along the way. Both have previous love-related complications that realistically make them cautious about getting serious with someone new. Yet Brown has made it impossible not to root for both of them to find a shared happy ending.

But it’s not all brownies and princess parties.

Brown has no problem exploring serious topics in her books, and her skill for considering complicated topics in a real manner is fully on display here. Some of the side action looks at both mental health and difficult family relationships and these moments are particularly touching. However, the action never becomes too heavy. These characters and their lives, the good and the bad, are fully realized, and Brown knows how to weave in plenty of solid jokes and wickedly funny scenes that feel genuine to their circumstances.

Love Me Like You Do: come for the romance, but stay for the authentic characters, the gorgeous story, and the pure fun.

Note: I received a free ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley

Love Me Like You Do by Aimee Brown is such a cute romance book. I loved both main characters and I wanted them to have an happy ending. I always liked friends-to-lovers troupe.

Parker and Liam met when Parker’s ex boyfriend dumped her on their wedding day. Liam met Parker when she ran away from her wedding after broke up with her ex boyfriend. Liam was there when she was in a mess and brought her to the hospital to get a check up.

They bumped to each other ever since and became friends. Parker didn’t want to have anything more than friends with Liam but to Liam, he can’t stop thinking about Parker ever since they met.

The plot was amazing and it has fast pace. However, maybe author should consider to explain more about the relationship between Liam and his father. There was a resolution, but didn’t have real explanation.

Overall, this book really was good and it can be your light reading. Thank you Netgalley & Aria for sharing this copy in return for an honest review.

3 "Maybe you will." Stars

This was a cute, simple, sweet, romantic comedy book. I enjoyed the characters and their story. They made me laugh multiple times as the awkward scenarios were funny and charming. The writing from the first person perspective was very detailed and at times tedious but I still felt invested in the characters story and engaged in reading. The main female character of the story held the most connection to me as she navigates a relationship she never intended on having as another one dissolves unexpectedly. I could relate to her. The male lead was charming for sure and unexpected but I enjoyed his interactions with his counterpart. This is a perfect summer beach read for romance lovers.

DNF @ 60%

When I first read the blurb and saw the words "runaway bride" and "handsome stranger", I thought this was going to be a very intense and captivating book. Unfortunately, nothing in the story interested me. I couldn't handle the lack of romance and how boring the main characters were. Liam and Parker were both focused on their own personal problems and barely had any good interactions, so I didn't feel any chemistry between them. Considering I was already at the 60% mark, I thought nothing else would convince me that they make a great couple. Besides, I thought the dual POV was a bad decision because it just showed how Liam and Parker lacked any personality or depth. If there wasn't anything indicating the POV change, I would honestly think that it was the same character narrating everything. Anyways, I guess this one just really wasn't for me.

Love Me Like You Do was such a sweet story. Parker is a jilted bride who meets Liam in her worst moment. They have both had some rough breakups and agree it's best to be friends. However, that may soon prove to be unlikely. In addition to difficult romantic relationships, Parker and Liam have also experienced some challenges with their parents. All of which adds to their individual insecurities about being valued by other people.

I really liked the positive message about giving relationships your all even if it's difficult. Even though their families weren't the most conventional, this book demonstrated the importance of being there for and accepting one another.

There were serious topics covered by the book, but it also tucked a little laugh out loud humor in to balance things. This book was a pleasure to read. I truly appreciated the positive message, especially during the difficult times we are currently living in. An infusion of positivity is never a bad thing.

Thanks to NetGalley and Aria Publishing for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book definitely starts off with a bang and boy does it just get better! As Parker’s day goes from being the best day of her life to the most humiliating she finds comfort in a new friend!

Liam is the hero of Parker’s nightmare of a day! He saves her from a horrible situation and starts to become a fixture in Parker’s life! Two strangers discover they have more in common than they think and with each run in a friendship starts to bloom!

As both heal from pain of past relationships they start to heal in other ways! From family to friends they start to become a staple of the others day! But with each day spent together their feelings get stronger and friendship is no loner enough. The pain Parker felt from her last relationship isn’t entirely healed and she needs to decide what the future holds for them before she loses Liam completely!

I loved the focus on family, friendship and healing! It wasn’t just romance it was about looking at things from a “whole” perspective! It was about getting closer and giving forgiveness! There was so much wrapped into Liam’s and Parker’s story and I loved each word!

I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. Parker and Liam are believable likeable characters and the issues in this book are realistic. I can definitely sympathize with the cheating aspect and having an evil selfish ex. Both have painful life stories and realize what they are fighting off is the chance to actually be happy. The supporting characters were just as good.

This is definitely one of the best rom-coms I have read in awhile and I highly suggest it. I would also read something else by this author if she decides to write a new book. I would love to see Liam and Parker in another book perhaps involving his sister and her niece; just an idea.

just an idea if this was made into a movie, Ryan Gosling as Liam and Emma Stone as Parker. I would see this movie for sure.

Thanks to Netgalley, Aimee Brown and Aria for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I don't normally read more than one book at a time but I decided to start this book while reading another. This book took over my interest and I flew through it! It was a light, easy read! Rom-coms are my favorite genre and this was perfect. I had me literally lol-ing at times and I was definitely teary-eyed at the end!
We start the story with Parker being dumped on her wedding day (gasp)! She leaves and nearly gets hit by a car, enter Liam! Parker and Liam keep running into each other in the most embarrassing and unlikely of places.
Naturally, one thing leads to another, or at least for one of them!
This is definitely a great summer read!

Love Me Like You Do is a charming romantic comedy about a man and woman who meet by chance. It begins as Parker flees her wedding after her fiancee calls it off. Liam saves Parker, helps her to the hospital, and an instant connection forms. However, Parker and Liam are both romantically damaged and must put their past failures behind them before they can fully commit to each other. Can Parker trust again after her humiliating rejection at the alter? Will Liam admit that he wants to be more than friends?

Liam is a great character. A bit of a knight-in-shining-armor, he enters Parker’s life at just the right moment. His irresistible charm and deep feelings contrast with the shallow and selfish man Parker almost married. Parker is a dedicated sister, daughter, and nurse who has an inner strength that I find admirable. She’s smart and fiesty, and I love how involved she is with her nieces. Parker’s dedication to her family is both sweet and heart-warming.

The romance between Parker and Liam is fantastic. Though they have an instant connection, neither is looking for romantic entanglements. Parker is still dealing with the end of her relationship, and Liam still hasn’t recovered from the hurt of being rejected by the woman he loved. I enjoyed watching this pair heal and grow together.

A funny and fast-paced romance, the heart of Love Me Like You Do focuses on relationships – the strength of family, the importance of friends, the pain of rejection, the excitement of new love, and more. The novel also addresses issues like mental illness, abandonment, and the long-term effects of alcoholism, which adds depth and realism to the story. Thanks so much to Netgalley and Aria for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

I received an advanced reader copy of Love Me Like You Do from Net Galley and Aria Fiction in exchange for an honest review. From the title, I expected a cute and fun read, and this book delivered!

The story starts with Parker being left in the altar, running from her own wedding and nearly had a traffic accident when she's saved none other by Liam. As you probably can tell, they keep accidentally meeting until they become friends. The characters were great, each with their own quirks and definitely relatable. Aside from all the cute and adorableness (is that a word?), I also loved the exploration of mental health and family issues of certain characters in this book. I really enjoyed reading it and I could easily picture it made to a movie!

Overall, Love Me Like You Do is a fantastic romcom book, with a friends to lovers trope, that is going to made you smile, laugh and swoon all at once. A perfect summer read, and I would recommend it for those who are looking for light and fun romance!

Thank you to NetGalley for gifting me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Parker meets Liam when she has been dumped at the alter and was running away from the humiliation. They become friends, however fate keeps bringing them together and people keep telling them that they are MFEO (meant for each other)

I liked Liam from the beginning and not just because he saves Parker from being ran over but because of his southern drawl - this Brit has always been attracted to that accent (I’m thinking about you Matthew McConaughey) I could tell than Liam was nothing like Parker’s ex and yes, as usual this was a predictable chick lit book but I liked it. Yes, it was a bit of an easy, slow burn book but I’m in lockdown and so it was a nice few hours of escapism for me.

The Blurb :
Parker is ready to marry the man of her dreams. But he isn't ready to marry her. When she's dumped moments before walking down the aisle, she didn't expect to run into the arms of a handsome stranger. The southern drawl, the dreamy eyes, she can't fall for another man after being left at the altar – can she?
When Liam agreed to go on yet another blind date, he didn't expect his escape would lead him to the emergency room with a runaway bride. She might have just been left at the altar, but he's immediately drawn to her fiery spirit, kind heart and beautiful smile. Liam's got a whole host of problems and a past that's haunting him, now can't be the time to fall in love, but Parker might just be the one to break down his barriers and let him live a little – if she'll let him in.
Will these two strangers allow serendipity to force them together, or will their fears keep them apart?

My Thoughts :
We meet Parker, after being dumped at the alter by her cheating husband to be Becker, she runs off and has a near miss accident with a car. Her hero of the day comes in the form of Liam, as he helps her to hospital. Although there is an instant atraction there, parker is sworn off men and only wants to be friends. As we delve into Liam’s life we learn more about him and where he comes from. With Parker and Liam bumping into each other everywhere they go they feel its a sign to become more than friends
As Liam’s feeling develop for Parker, can he assure her they can be more than friends and wont hurt her or is she really damaged for good!?.
Although predictable, another good book and great work from Aimee Brown, having been on my Twitter for years, I still do a double take at her being an Author now.
She has some great charactors in the story and lots of funny moments.
Parker and Liam as the lead charactors are just so easy to fall in love with.
Looking forward to the next read.

Love Me Like You Do is as charming as the title and the cover proclaim, this is an easy to read, feel-good and incredibly lovable romance, which will leave you feeling all the love. Plus, leave you humming ‘that’ song all day, come on you know which one I am talking about ” love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do…..” 😊

This is the first I have read by Aimee Brown, it certainly won’t be the last, I really enjoyed her light-hearted and feel-good writing and I am looking forward to reading more.

I loved the constant nod to Sleepless in Seattle – which has to be one of my favourite rom-com’s, and the particular film really worked alongside Parker and Liam’s romance, plus gave me a reason to watch Sleepless again – any excuse! 😉

I thought the author tackled the subject of Parker’s mother’s mental health with sensitivity and compassion.

I really enjoyed the romance between Liam and Parker, theirs is a stereotypical friend to lovers romance, I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of this particular trope but I enjoyed their cute love story. The secondary characters were all very likeable, I thought that some could have been fleshed out a bit more than they were, but hey this is all about the romance between the two leads, right?

I found the ending to be a little bit rushed for my liking, it felt it could have been answered to unresolved questions before the abrupt ‘the end’ I think that it should have been given a more substantial ending to what was a sweet and enjoyable story.

Overall, a lovely, feel-good and lazy afternoon story about love, family and friendship, a book that will not only have you watching a firm favourite but also get a ridiculously addictive earworm lodged in your head. Well, go on then “What are you waiting for?….“

Parker meets Liam after being dumped by her fiance right after putting her wedding dress on at the ceremony. What a douche, am I right?! (obvs this wasn't the cute part lol) When they get home, they can't stop thinking about each other, but it is what it is bc realistically when the heck are you going to run into that hunky guy you saw in the streets twice in a row?! Anyway, you guessed it, fate plays a part in this and they find each other everywhere until they decide to give their love a shot. While the premise was cute, the story kinda dragged a bit and I felt like some of the relationships in the story weren't fully developed for me to invest my heart in, but the MFEO (Meant For Each Other) aspect of it all really did something to bring me back to the old disney princess days lol. -JH

You could say she fell for him from the first, but that isn't quite the case, because Parker fell in her bridal gown while running away from the wedding after her fiance dumped her. Liam, just returning from a blind date gone wrong, happened to be passing when she was hit by a car and took her to the ER. Who wouldn't fall for someone who looks like a young Josh Duchanel only with a southern drawl. But Parker insists that she wants nothing to do with men who must all be like her cheating ex. For Liam, still bewildered by his own ex's refusal to marry him, it seems she might be right. But the fates intervene, insisting like Parker's younger niece that they are MFEO (Made for each other). It becomes a series of bumps and starts as Parker and Liam's lives throw up challenges and obstacles that seem to at once prove them wrong and right about fate. This is a lovely warm hearted romance that really is geared beyond Young Adult and gives a lovely feel good factor at the end.

Curl on your sofa with a glass of wine and enjoy a Saturday afternoon with Aimee Brown’s new love Story Love Me Like You Do: an emotional story of love and finding yourself it is short sweet and fun. It reminded of a Saturday night Hallmark movie which yes, I will admit I LOVE. Brown asks the big questions: what is love, what is family, what is friendship? Then what are you willing to do for love, family and friendship? Take a minute and ask yourself these questions too.

Enjoy the ride with these fully developed even flawed characters.

This was a very cute romance. I loved both main characters and rooted for them both to have their happy ending (and was very glad when it happened!) Parker's family was adorable, and I appreciated the author's exploration of Parker's mother's mental health. Liam and Parker's friends-to-lovers story was very sweet, if a bit rushed toward the end.

The story revolves around a very select group of characters that are intertwined in various ways - and I was really weirded out by it at first, but then it was directly addressed as being odd within the book, so I'll consider it ok :) I did feel like Liam's relationship with his dad should have been explored a little more (there was resolution, but no real explanation for it) as well as why Liam's dad ended up in Portland (since Liam had moved specifically from Texas to Portland, it seems odd for his dad to be there too...unless there was more explanation...)

Overall, a cute easy read that I recommend!

OMG would be the word that went through my mind for most of Love Me Like You Do.

OMG – I am dying of laugher – truly snorting
OMG – I did not see that coming
OMG – my heart is swelling

I was hooked from page 1 and only stopped when I had to eat dinner (no electronics allowed), to charge my kindle and sleep for the night. Love Me Like You Do will have you snorting with laughter (yes, real snorts) and provides some good OMG moments.

For fans of Liam from author Aimee Brown’s debut book The Lucky Dress, you will fall head over heels for him in Love Me Like You Do.

I adored this book. Parker was saved from being dangerously hurt when she runs away from her doomed wedding by Liam. Who is a sweetheart!! They become friends that leads to love. It was such a sweet book that has Cinderella and Sleepless in Seattle references throughout the book. I loved Parker and Liam together. Their scenes were so adorable! The quirky side characters were also hilarious! I wish I knew what happened to Chris though.

This was a cute, humorous romcom book. Nothing in depth in the story-line, but it was a fast poolside read. I loved Liam and his knight in shining armor qualities. It made up for Parker, who wasn't as likable to me with her indecision's throughout the book and she seemed whiny to me.

A fun and flirty romance! While predictable and a bit over-the-top, it was laugh out loud funny and a heartwarming read. The characters are incredibly likable and their romance believable and worth cheering for. There were parts of the book that were so “tidy” it was almost eye roll worthy. Love Me Like You Do is a fun, LOL filled romcom with a touch of those 'life complications' that so often trip us up. Parker and Liam are definitely MFEO (like in Sleepless in Seattle, which is one of my favorite romcom movies and I found this just as loveable). In a nutshell: It's a super sweet book of friends to lovers with both their families having issues behind the scenes, which enriches the plot. Highly recommend!

Thank you NetGalley and Aria for the ARC of Love Me Like You Do. I really enjoyed this book and read it rather quickly as I wanted to know how everything played out.

I found Parker and Liam both incredibly likeable characters, with enough depth to make them interesting. The frequent Sleepless In Seattle references have made me want to watch it! I liked the other characters, especially how prominent two sixteen-year olds were, which made it slightly different from the “chick-lit” I’ve read as of late.

I think Liam’s dad’s character could have been fleshed out a bit more. It felt like there were a lot of gaps when it came to him.

Otherwise I found the book enjoyable and I would recommend to friends.
