When my "ancient" vampire Master turns up all gorgeous and sexy rather than old and kind, I know it's time to leave. He'd never want someone like me.
Rhapsody is Not Normal. But her vampire Master doesn't seem to mind, and his letters for her remain kind, funny, and charming. Seeing that she finally has a chance to be happy, Rhapsody can’t wait to join him in Chalys, a modern-day kingdom that follows Regency customs...until she discovers a horrifying truth.
Her Master turns out to be none other than the strikingly virile Marquis of Sangre, who also happens to be the ruler of the vampire race.
Rhapsody tries to be the perfect student in a paranormal academy, but being around the other girls only makes her realize it's impossible to be the marquis' pet and heartkeeper.
Rhapsody resolves to break their arrangement...but a mysterious murder, a missing tourist, and school gossip stand in her way. Even worse, her Master doesn't seem inclined to let her go, and wait...what is this she's feeling? Is this what her demon-fighting therapist calls...love?
==== Urban fantasy meets Regency vampire romance in The Vampire’s Mail-Order Bride, a fast-paced, over the top, and explicitly steamy standalone vampire love story made more fun and exciting with a supernatural mystery, a dash of Regency thrills, and good old deadpan humor.
Its companion novels are The Vampire's Pet and The Werewolf's Bride. Readers love the books in this "world" because of its angsty epic love stories and and immersive world building that can make ou temporarily forget real-life problems.
I find that universe quite fascinating and I really like reading about those characters. Rhapsody and Mihail are unique and the humor around that is absolutely perfect.

The Vampire's mail-order bride is a historical/paranormal romance about Lord Mihail Georgiou, a half-vampire half-demon, and Rhapsody Norwood, his not so normal bride. The story begins by explaining who the characters are, how they connect with each other, and what is expected by them. Then in the second part, we see her training as a pet along with how their relationship is growing. The dramatic part here is half covered by the mysterious deaths. The ending in the last chapter was magnificent and the most emotional scene in the whole story. Rhapsody was my favorite, she was the oddest yet interesting character I have ever read about. I'm not a big fan of the paranormal or the historical romance but this mix of the strange characters and the mystery had me intrigued the whole time. I enjoyed it very much and I will rate it with 4.5 stars.
" their secret parts quivered at his swoonworthy looks"
Mihail and Rhapsody's story hes a century's old Vampire and leader of his kind shes different could be described as alouf and cold her mothers unfeeling emotionless child rendering skills are to blame and the fact she brought her daughter to work with me bad idea really bad idea. All this contributed to her emotional state and unsure feelings about herself and others. The tension and chemistry as well as the sex scenes are there I didn't even mind the regency dialogue I have read the genre before but my big issue was the side mystery and the adding of extra men to throw in jealousy i mean how could she not understand Mihail is jealouse the other issue was that chapters and whole dialogue seems to be have kept out it was strange and the murder was obvious but why was she there at the school to begin with and then the death scene allot left out anti climatic at best if I could give it 3.4 stars I would there were some good parts but the rest just left me confused and frustrated.

Rhapsody has known for a long time that she was not what was considered "normal". She has a problem expressing her feelings, caused by the lifestyle that she had been sunjected to by her mother. When Isaac contatcs Mihail and tells him of the bats watching the girl, Mihail knows he has found his heartkeeper. He courts her through letters, and it is only when they meet at her new school, which is training her to be his pet, that she realises who he is. Will she be found guilty of the murder she has been charged with? And when Mihail hurts her, will their realtionship be able to recover? What has happened to Alexandru? I am sure there is more to come, and I am looking forward to it!

The Vampire’s Mail Order Bride by Marian Tee was an unexpected joy to read!!! It’s the story of Rhapsody and Mihail. He’s an ancient vampire and she is ‘Not Normal’. He tries to appear uninterested in her, though she is his heartkeeper. While there were a few holes in the story and some characters that I felt really didn’t need to be introduced to the story…..since they didn’t really add to the storyline…I still very much enjoyed this story!!!!

I was very much interested in getting Rhapsody’s story after meeting her in the last book. She is incredibly polite, sees herself as not normal, and appears cold, however she’s just incredibly literal. I loved her - she’s sweet, blunt and very honest. Mihail enjoys all of that about her, however, he doesn’t fully commit to her and it shatters her once she fully realizes it. As soon as he understands what he has done he apologizes and she readily forgives him, which normally would irritate me since he didn’t grovel enough, but with her outlook and heart it’s perfect.

Mihail is a one thousand year old vampire and he believes that Rhapsody is his pet and his heartkeeper. The heartkeeper is the purest forms of equal devotion. Rhapsody isn't so sure as she considers herself not normal due to trauma from her childhood that left her without emotions. When he sees Rhapsody he knows that she's his heartkeeper and makes provisions for her care and her schooling. This needed to be done before the can come together. This has action, emotions, steam, and great characters. Loved the story. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I didn't expect to really love this book. I just thought it would be a normal sappy insta-lovey vampire and his mate type.
But nooo... The heroine in this one broke the normal stereotype. She is definitely unique and I totally love her. She was stoic, naïve, apathetic almost and yet so lovable. The whole letters exchanged were also very entertaining. The only problem was it's too short! I need more worldbuilding! More characters dynamic! More antics from the heroine! More hot sexy vampire Master!
This particular author has taken a different, but interesting take on vampires. Lord Michael, Marquis of Sangre, is almost A one thousand years old vampire and lives in Chalys which lives in a Regency Era. He believes Rhapsody is his pet and heartkeeper, which in it’s purest forms equals devotion. Rhapsody considers herself Not Normal due to trauma in her childhood which left her without emotion. The story includes their relationship and solves some recent murders. Good read!

I absolutely loved this book!! This is the story of Rhapsody and Mihail. Rhapsody considers herself as being “not normal” and has a problem expressing her emotions due to trauma in her childhood. Mihail is an ancient vampire and knows that Rhapsody is his heartkeeper. He courts her through letters, which I loved. When she meets him at her new school, where she in training to be his pet, that she realizes who he truly is. This was an amazing and one I I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

In the land of Chalys, where paranormals are common and live life in the Regency style - a young orphan, 16-year old Rhapsody is fated to be heartkeeper to the most powerful vampire-demon in the country, the Marquis de Sangre. She sees herself as NotNormal, as she cannot feel like the people around her. But the Marquis does not care. Heartkeepers share their soul with their fated demons and often a deep bond ensues. A lovely story showing the bond between an old demon and a young innocent woman. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was waiting for this story ever since I read the Vampire Pet..and thank you Marian Tee, the wait wasn't that long :) Loved the first part of the story and the letters back-and-forth To some degree I feel it is a bit shorter than I expected which also impacted the rating (one crime vs three in the Vampire Pet allowed me to be more involved and able to live with the characters and their relationships development which I kind of wanted more of in this story)
at one sight he knew she was his heartkeeper and made provisions for her to be cared for and to be schooled in the best schools, but they had much to over come before they finally come together, can the 1/2 demon marqis de sanque and his innocent rhapsody figure it all out despite all the things that come against them? this was a wonderful read filled with action, emotion, steam and amazing characters.

This is a mix of paranormal with historical and a whole new world. Mihail courts her through letters and that's the sweet aspect of the story. Once they meet, there's some mystery and suspense and some angst that just added to the whole world.

I am sorry to give such a number of stars for this book. It is the first of this author's books I have done this with. But there were so very many errors in this book it just put me off. I actually couldn't even finish reading it. My apologies to the author but this really does need editing badly.
Wow this is such a great vampire storyline. The characters are well developed and engaging and the flow of the storyline has many twists and turn. I kept turning the pages wanting to read more.

Another sexy story told by Marian Tee! This time a great vampire sends for a woman he has chosen to be his heart keeper, the young woman who seems rather confused as to why she has been chosen! There starts the story!
