Batman goes after the biggest criminals in Gotham City: Bruce Wayne’s billionaire peers. But when these blue-blooded businessmen turn to the Joker for help, they find themselves in over their heads. It’s up to Bruce Wayne to step in and save them...even though he may be just as guilty as the rest.

Some of the artwork was ‘questionable’, definitely not the best. It was if the penciler did His job, the colourist not so good and the outliner was slap happy putting lines where there shouldn’t be lines. And the storyline was like a 1940’s Batman comic adjusted to fit with 2021. It was ok but some of the others were better. And ‘KA-RUMMMBLE’ for sound effects?! A lot of thought went into that!
Mark Russell takes over for Michael Grey in issue 4 and the series introduces a plot thread to span multiple stories. Batman continues his investigative ways, but the Joker as wacky tv lawyer isn’t exactly clever. Joker feels like a stand in character, and the issue probably would’ve been stronger if they’d chosen another bad guy for the part.
So, Bruce is an informant for the GCPD to help get some human traffickers...but Batman shows up anyway? This would have worked better if we just saw Bruce as the crime fighter.
