Trained Obedience

Rate this book
From the very beginning, Ronan had wanted Tisa.

The reasons went beyond her innocence, the fight in her that wanted freedom, or even her young age.

He wanted her to quash the angry curl of control over her, the vile possessiveness to crush her hope of being free.

He’s a rough man with a crude demeanor, but he wasn’t going to change.

Not for himself and certainly not for her.

What he does works for him; it would be redundant to fix something that was never broken.

He did, however, need to fix that disobedience of hers.

THANKS TO OLYA FOR SCARING THE CRAP OUTTA ME(Just saying! 🤣🤣🤣)

✅I skimmed to get the feel of the book, just to get the feel of the book.

😳And....... hell no!!!!

😵This is too much triggering for me.

☹Idk what happened man? I NEVER back of from triggering books.

❗❗❗But this was like...... SICK. TWISTED.

💠The things he did to her.
💠The torture.
💠The violence.
💠He was a sociopath.

😳It was all.........a turn on for them. But, i was actually turning pale when i read it.

💯This book is what a REAL dark romance is like.

✅Veronica Lancet's Morally Questionable series on one side and this book on the other.

🌈To sum it up..........the H was like....... a REAL LIFE JEFFERY DAHMER.

1️⃣Only if Jeffery Dahmer wasn't gay and had a sick obsession with only one single woman.
2️⃣And if Jeffery was like.............100 times hotter, sans his glasses.
3️⃣And if he was .........forget it.

❌Idk if i shud like this book or not.

🤐That is NOT my kink whatever is shown here.

😈He gets a hard on when she's scared.

🥺😱😱TERRIFYING I'LL-PISS-IN-MY-PANTS EPILOGUE.

⛔⛔⛔PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THIS IS TRIGGERING.

❗❗❗❗❗❗There's HEAVY STOCKHOLM SYNDROME.

✅ Kidnapping.Violence.Pain.Torcher(All are VERY on-page inflicted by the H on h).

⭕SPOILERS-

#️⃣Virgin h.COMPLETELY DOORMAT
#️⃣Celibate H. NEVER APOLOGISES. NEVER LISTENS. ANGRY.JERK.DICK.ASSHOLE.PSYCO.SOCIOPATH.TORCHERER.
#️⃣H is ex-NAVYSEAL.
#️⃣Hero has unhealthy obsession with h.
#️⃣Hero puts the h in situations and shows and does things to her that she finds uncomfortable or that are related with childhood traumas.
💚Yes you read that right.
#️⃣The things that used to be triggering or are still triggering for her , are used by the H to arouse her.
#️⃣And yes she DOES get aroused.
#️⃣No there is NO rape.
#️⃣PLOT-💯
#️⃣Steam-I skipped those parts.Too triggering.
#️⃣NO-CHEATING.
#️⃣NO-OW/DRAMA.
😪No kids in epilogue.

The first time I read this, I didn't even know how to react to it. The book is about a murderous maniac who, without any feelings for anything living, is a sociopath. But he falls in love with a girl, and most importantly, he does not hide from her who he is, but simply tries to accustom her to what he is and protect her from everyone)))) After re-reading, after 1.5 years, I can evaluate this book. This is what I've been missing lately. Thanks to the author for showing me that I love real villains in books!!!

Oh My God! This is the craziest novella I have ever read. This author has a way with making her anti-heros incredibly psycho that you can’t fault them for their actions, but you can cringe. I don’t want to spoil anything, if you like pitch black romance with and morally questionable hero this is for you. Go in blind if you can. Also read the Trigger Warnings.

Enjoy 😉

WHOA! This one starts out with a bang & has an Anti-H that has ice for blood & NO remorse for his past, present & planned actions.
But as I continued to read, the true horror of Tisa's (h) situation & the terrifying true nature of Ronan (Anti-H), continued to rise & build around me until I felt engulfed by it.
It SUCKED me in & I could NOT stop reading it. I felt like I was being swirled in a whirlpool I wasn't able to escape. The plot & the characters are (IMO) superbly written & I lost sense of the fact I was reading. And when I finished, all I could think was WHOA, WHAT did I just read???
This one chilled & yet mesmerized me, it affected me that much.
For me, it was VERY DARK, VERY SHOCKING, VERY IMPACTIVE.
In its' way it IS a romance: TWISTED, DISTURBING, CHILLING & TERRIFYING.
It REALLY packed a punch that snuck up on me in a deliciously uber dark way.
If you read it, I think you will be as affected by & admire the quality of the writing, plot & characters penned by the author as much as I was & do.
And man, I am going to have to reread this one again . . .

I left a review of her last book, and one thing I said was that the book felt a little bit tame. Then the author slapped me in the face with this book and I am honestly floored, with both good and bad emotions. This book is really not for the faint of heart and the subject matter will not be for everyone. First off, the hero is really not a hero or an anti-hero for that matter. This dude is a straight-up villain. But I think that's what made this book more enjoyable and uncomfortable for me to read. Am I supposed to root for this man? Am I supposed to want for her to escape? I honestly didn't know how I was supposed to feel, and even at the end, I was confused about liking this book! Bottom line: Celia Crown did a great job of writing a very dark romance that took me out of my comfort zone with her unique way of storytelling. I can't wait for her next book!

I click my tongue, vexed, and affronted. Inhaling deeply and controlling my rising temper, I must be patient with her. If not, she is going to be more defiant, and that is an inconvenience I am not willing to accept.

She might end up being another body in the ground.

H turned me OFFFFF.

HE was killing people and buried them from the start of the book, just for fun even they were innocent.

And HELLLLLL NOOOOOOO, not this kind of H I can accept. He is a TRULY monster.

I will start by saying if you are a very sensitive reader this is not the book for you. When the author says this is a DARK romance it is. There are some very disturbing scenes in this book and some of the things the FMC goes through are the stuff of nightmares. Now with that being said this is one of the best books I have read in a while. Even with all the dark parts, this was an amazing love story. I hate spoilers in reviews and I am not gonna reword the synopsis either so I will just say if you are looking for a great dark romance that will reverberate down to your soul here you go.

Very short. Not very spicy. Wanted it to be hotter but it's just some guy whos massive and missing a couple of Rainbow Connections in the ol' noggin in terms of his, um, "social" skills.

*spoiler*
the dude literally just yeets all the people he kills into "his" houses backyard- a house he btw murdered a whole family for and p*ssed on it to call it his own private property and yet, literally no one raises a single eyebrow or comes around looking??? ML buff? Author Magic? Golden Halo? Who knows? *shrugs*

*Spoiler*
Was also half expecting the girl to be pregnant by the epilogue! Was a bit surprised when she wasn't!

Had my problems with this one. Just senseless killing with no explanation no deeper thought just killing being portrayed as some kind of attractiveness. I’m all for that done right but this was not done right. As much as she wanted to come off as smart and calculating she gets manipulated easy and she is a coward. Didn’t really like this one

Fast-paced and intense, a dark read that may not be for everyone. Ronan had wanted Tisa and he will do anything to keep her as his. Loads of twists and turns, plenty of drama and triggers. I really liked it.

1.25✯

°Virgin heroine
°Celibate MMC
°Switching POVs
°Naïve heroine
°Older man/younger woman (18)
°The MMC wasn't even an anti-hero he was a sadistic villain, he had no redeeming qualities, he was abusive and manipulative, he was a killer and enjoyed torturing people but I didn't have a problem with any of those things, I just didn't like the way he treated the h, I wish he'd been a bit more gentle with her
°No OW/OM drama
°No separation
°No cheating or scenes with OP
°There was only one sex scene and it was super boring
°Lackluster epilogue 1 year later - they're together and that's it, I wish they'd had a baby or that she was pregnant at least (the lame ass ending brought my rating down, I needed a longer and better epilogue)
*~*~*~*

He does whatever he likes with no need for social justice because he had killed every single breathing thing in his home other than me. His motto, if I am right: what is his will always be his. In life and death. It would be romantic if he was not a maniacal murderer.

**********

The only one who can bring her pain, emotionally and physically, is me. I take offense at her uncultured act of harming herself without my permission.

**********

It is going to be a refreshing day when she does try to escape. Then she will know just how stupid she was. I cannot wait for the crushed determination on her face.

**********

I would not want the environment to get her before I can punish her. That would be too easy for her to learn the lesson, and she would not be alive to appreciate the things I did for her.

**********

I do not feel I am in the wrong. I know the difference between “right” and “wrong,” but I just do not have the patience to bring myself to care. Tisa did a terrible thing, so the logical step was to punish her. She knew that, and she understood the consequences of disobeying me. I had broken her spirit to fight physically, so I had planned to wear her down emotionally.

**********

Her posture had been rigid, back arched with the implication that she needed to prepare for a strike of my hand. I should be insulted because I have not hurt her for a while now.

**********

“I’ll bury you under our bed,” he reckons, a rumbling laugh perturbing my heart. “Not even death can separate us.”

**********

I had imagined my virginity would be lost on a fluffy bed with a man who cares about me. Ronan cares, I think with uneasy doubt, he cares in his own way. It is not the conventional way, but being alive now means I am special to him.

I’m not a huge fan of BDSM -mi don’t mind it in small doses but I can not stand it when one of the parties demeans or causes Emotional or physical harm - it’s something I can’t stomach - so I was hoping this would be lighter. It is not but the author warned so I blew myself and can’t take away a star for it. It is t for the lighthearted I give you that. The story is about Tisa Who is completely taken with a soldier she’s been writing. Her roommate talks her into showing at his address. She really didn’t feel it but didn’t listen to her own instincts and went anyway. She Knew his address from the correspondence. When she arrives she finds herself In the middle of no where. Her roommate continues to talk her into doing things like going up to the house and I didn’t like how Tisa didn’t appear to have a spine. It's dark, scary and looks sinister but her roommate is standing at his door and Tisa can’t just leave her there. When she gets out and goes to the door her RM has gone inside! She goes inside, tip toeing, quietly calling her friend’s name. Is that moaning she hears? Then...pain and everything goes dark and the story gets dark and twisted and for me, was wayyy to much! Too intense, too sinister, too dark and made me uncomfortable. This is dark and twisted. Yet somehow I couldn’t stop reading it either. I was desperate for an HEA and I couldn’t put it down. So, I don’t know how to rate it.

Stumbling on Celia Crown was one of the best happy accidents that I have made this year. She never disappoints with her Dark Romance books. And honestly I am always left contemplating the story, the decisions made and how I actually feel about it. This book was really good. I only have one issue with the story and that is I wanted h to know. I thought that one thing was going to happen and I was happy that it did. But I wanted h to know at the end of the story! I am not going to go further into detail because well spoilers..... But between this book, Dirty Psychopath and The Possessive Convict I am in love with the way Celia Crown crafts her stories and forces my mind to twist and bend in ways that no other author has ever been able to. Please note that if you are new to Dark Romance these are not for the faint of heart and not your normal romance novels. Read the description thoroughly so you actually know what you are getting into.

My first review 🤪 I feel like I need to contribute to the community.

All right yall I truly hated Ronan because of how he treated Tisa. But just like Tisa I started to like him as time goes on and his crazy ass ways. The way he conditions her….too good but also EVILLL… 🫥🤐🫡🤰🏻

This story is very DARK and and psychological. (Which are my favorite) There wasn’t much romance it was cold but in a fucked up way it was romantic…??? 🤭 I was hoping for some knifeplay or bloodplay but nothinggg

I wish there was more conditioning and exploration on making Tisa more obedient.

Its a cute twisted novella and if this whole premise should have been a novel to me.

It ended quite abruptly 😂😂 I basically want a novel of these characters.

Fun little read!

Spice level: 4/10 (well written spice though)
Atmosphere: 7/10 (eerie and dark)
Chemistry: 7/10

A dark psychological and emotional roller coaster awaits the readers of this gripping book. my first book by Celia Crown and what an introduction. Suspense filled with twists and turns delves into the darkness of humanity and leaves you questioning but also has you hooked wanting more. Well written with highly detailed and graphic scenes. Great developed characters draw you into this well paced book, that could be read in one sitting. A part 2 would be great!

I have no idea what to say. This book was great written but I'm still a little confused. Strangely enough, once started I had to finish reading. It's wicked and it's twisted and I don't mind if the H is not at all charming but in that book he is more than just not charming. If you like to get roped into a story which is different and don't mind oppressing, bullying and shocking - than this is your book. I've noticed it's not mine.

I don't know why I love these stories because they are so dark, twisted, and disturbing. I just keep reading till the very end. It's entertaining yet you are waiting on tenterhook to see if he is going to get rid of Tisa. I loved how he slowly brainwashed her and turned her into him. You find that out at the end when she's in the basement. I just can't get enough of these stories. I can't wait to read the next book. Trained obedience

Tisa thought she was writing to a guy in the military. They exchanged posts in post cards. Her roommate takes it upon herself to track down this guy so her friend can meet him real time. Bad decision on her part for both of them. He wanted Tisa to find him but her roommate was collateral damage in his way. He is a unstable person and who does things his way and Tisa is his captives. This is not a love story. I thought the ending would have more to it but it was a different kinda of read

I read the sample of this book and was then intrigued enough the purchase the book - mostly to know if the story improved.
It did not. The writing style was extremely odd and the phrases and order of the words were strange to the point that it was often difficult to understand what was going on, where people were in relative space and what emotions (if any) were being felt.
It was such a short book and it still took all my willpower to not DNF. I’m not sure who this book would be for, but no one I know would be able to get past the strange language use.

Tisa's roommate has convinced her to find her pen pal. She wasn't ready but wasn't given a choice. When they wind up at a mysterious property everything in her is telling her to run. When she goes to investigate what she discovers will forever change her life. So much mind boggling warped sense of reprogramming. It's all Tisa can do to survive.

I've read a lot of Celia books and each is uniquely twisted to say the least. Ronan and Tisa are no different.

Love the clever twists, commanding characters, the way that you are stuck like glue to your reader because each page brings even more surprises and you find yourself in deep.

Tisa is talked by her roommate, Lena, in to going to find her pen pal. Lena drives to the location on the postcard. That is where Tisa meets Ronan. This is a dark book. Please advise to the warnings on the book. It is a short read. It is intense in the writing and the reading. The story flows smoothly.

This was dark and attention-grabbing short story. The storyline was fast-paced and well developed for such a short read. I only wished characters were also a bit more developed.
Nevertheless, this was a gripping, intense and twisted story with dark antihero. I wouldn’t mind to read more about Ronan and Tisa.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
