I’ll claim my mate, even if he's on another man's arm …
When fate lands a punch, she hits hard. I wasn't looking for my fated mate, but when I saw Danny on a date with one of my pack mates, I knew he had to be mine. The omega is perfect for me, from his enchanting looks to our shared passion for starting a nutrition business. But something is holding him back, and it's not just the awkward way we met.
Danny is brilliant and caring, but I can tell he's been hurt before. Taking it slow with him isn't easy, but it’s all worth it to see him smile. Everything is perfect … until my own petty jealousy triggers Danny’s insecurities.
I need to find a way to fix the relationship I've broken, or the budding dreams I have of making a life with my mate in Timberwood Cove will disappear. For good.
When Anniston feels a pull toward Daniel he knows Daniel is his fated mate. Daniel being a human feels nothing like that, besides... he’s with Vince, his boyfriend.
Anniston’s wolf is desperate for Daniel and is willing to jump him. But Daniel is a sweet, kind man who has to be conquered. Soooo, Anniston knows he has to be patient and dedicated. These are not his strongest sides.
With the opportunity to work closely together they get closer and closer. Daniel has a lot to overcome, traumatizes by his past he simply can’t believe Anniston will choose him, permanently.
Ahhh a great story, not too heavy, nicely balanced with sweet and stressful moments. The crucial moments with drama were acceptable but for me, I could do without. Overall an enough developed, balanced narrative with awesome shifters, pack members, a birth, and family drama.
This is an extremely good addition to the “Timberwood Cove Series” & I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The plot is well-written & interesting with some unusual situations. The characters are quite unique with complex personalities & display believable reactions and/or emotional feelings according to the situation they currently find themselves in. There is: a alpha male wolf shifter (Anniston) comes across his mate (a human male omega, Danny) who is on a date with a fellow pack member (Vince) & Anniston is quite determined to claim Danny, wolf shifters, various wolf packs, friendship, twists & turns, drama, intrigue, discovery, fated mates, jealousy, heartache, attractions, insecurities, warnings, advice, heat issues, surprises, accusations, disagreements, misunderstandings, regrets, apologies, compromises, love, happiness, some steam, contentment & a wonderful conclusion. There is an interesting ending that could be paving the way for the next book in this series & I will be waiting with great anticipation for it.
Audiobook Review: I actually really, really enjoyed this story. It was deep and impactful and full of feelings.
When one man walks in on the arm of a packmate, Anniston realizes right away that his fated mate is on a date with the wrong guy. I feel like this was a very well done story, hit me in the feels, and kept to engaged through the entire thing. I really actually wanted to give it another star, but there was something about Danny being a human, yet still able to have a heat/baby that I just didn't understand. That was my only regret!!! I seriously enjoyed this listen so hard and found the narration to be spectacular!
Not my favorite of the series. I never really warmed up to Anniston. I liked him better in the previous book as a new acquaintance of Mason. I just didn’t like the way he was portrayed in this one. His jealousy towards the end of the book didn’t help matters either. Danny was a bit more likeable, but his negative inner voices got to be a bit much after a while. So while it wasn’t bad, the book was just okay.
Anniston is an new Alpha to the area and he is hesitant to settle down but then he meets Danny, his fated mate. But Danny is human so he's not aware of the connection that Anniston feels, and he's currently in another relationship with an Alpha in Anniston's pack. Needless to say Anniston is not happy and Danny's current Alpha Vince is struggling with letting Danny go because he really cares about him. Anniston and Danny have a lot in common, wanting to start protein foods that actually taste good to people. This only brings them closer together, leaving the men questioning; is Anniston ready to commit and will Danny succumb to the lure of fated love.
I was introduced to Liam Kingsley's books recently. I never had an interest in shifters, but then decided to give it a try and honestly I don't regret it for a second. Kingsley's books are by far my favorite shifter series. I love how the characters are intertwine from book to book and the relationships between the MC's are so raw and real. His books take you into another world and with everything going on right now in society, it's nice to be able to escape to a paradise for a little while. You should definitely read this book (and all his other books too!)!!!
SPOILERS Danny was sweet and shy and he needed a good man to show him that he deserved to be loved. He's just not sure if he wants to give up his developing relationship with Vince. But he feels a connection with Anniston and he's not sure if he's ready to risk his relationship with Vince, with Anniston who might decide not to stick around for the haul. I really felt for Danny, he didn't have a lot of confidence in himself due to his poor relationship with his parents. He did deserve the two alphas vying for his affections because he is such a sweet soul and it was nice for his friend River to point out to him how deserving he is of that love. Anniston was too much sometimes, he was really overpowering and it seemed like he wouldn't let Danny have a say in who he could be with but force him to leave Vince. However, I did like how a lot of characters mentioned that just because people met their fated mates didn't mean they were romantic relationships or they just stayed with the mate they choose instead. Because this was brought up a lot it would have been kinda interesting if Danny and Vince stayed together just because Danny is defying fate and the odds so that would have been a cool outlook on the novel. However, I think that Danny and Anniston fit really well together so I enjoy them as a couple. I'm also looking forward to Vince's book next, I just new he was gonna be with Danny's friend. As soon as Danny connected that his friend looked like Vince's adopted daughter Charlotte I was like hmmm. I love these little connections like this.!!
Anniston has been in Timberwood Cove for some time now but for some reason he hasn’t decided if he wants to put down roots there. When he comes across his fated mate he discovers that his mate is with someone else. Even after meeting his fated mate he’s still not sure if his future is in Timberwood Cove.
Growing up Daniel’s parents were cruel to him so his self-confidence is nonexistent. He’s enjoying his relationship with Vince but in the back of his mind he’s wondering why Vince would want to be with him. After attending a birthday party for his best friend’s daughter he comes across a man that looks like he wants to devour Daniel. His best friend tells him he thinks he’s that guy’s fated mate.
Things get off to a rocky start between Anniston and Daniel. Anniston comes off as possessive and Daniel doesn’t appreciate wanting to be owned. As they get to know one another they discover they have a lot in common. With Anniston being a personal trainer and Daniel being a nutritionist it’s a match made in heaven. Anniston has always wanted to make nutrition bars so he and Daniel agree to become business partners. As Daniel gets to know Anniston he realizes that he’s a great guy and is very family oriented. Daniel doesn’t want to hurt Vince but it’s evident he’s feeling more for Anniston than friendship and a business partnership.
I was a little reluctant when first starting this book because I wasn’t sure how I felt about an omega who was already in a relationship when an alpha discovers they’re mates. I do love this series so I went in with an open mind. It did start off a little slow for me but I appreciated how the author developed Anniston and Daniel’s relationship.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
**3.5** Anniston's Fate is a good story overall, one that I think fans of the series will really enjoy. It's got fated mates, mpreg, shifters and is a low angst romance. Danny's character tugged on my heart with his feelings of low self worth and the bullying from his own parents. He's managed to make a good life for himself, even going out into the dating world. Then Anniston catches his scent and knows his fated mate. Anniston works to show Danny he can be the perfect mate for him without pushing him into choosing Anniston over the alpha he was already dating. There are some endearing and awkward moments when the two connect before Danny even makes his final decision. I really felt for Vince as you could tell how hard the situation was for him but he comes across as a real stand up guy and I hope that his HEA is coming soon. Danny and Anniston work well together, working through the insecurities that they both have. There's definitely some stumbling blocks along the way, some of their own making but it's a fun to read story. They build a strong bond as they develop a new business venture together and set about creating a new life together. They're surrounding by a great community full of couples from previous books and really get a sense of the friendship and pack bonds. It's interesting how there are three packs so close together but are all kind and friendly towards each other. I enjoyed reading the book and think it's a good addition to the Timberwood Cove series. It can be read as a standalone but think to fully know all of the characters and connections it would be good to read them in order. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
I feel as if I live in Timberwood Cove, lol Danny is an unsure human with low self-esteem that happens to be dating a shifter when Anniston also a shifter discover that Danny is his fated mate. The two dance around each other until Danny makes a choice between the two alphas.
Daniel, a human Omega with low self-esteem, is in a relationship with Vince, a shifter in Timberwood Cove. Daniel attends a birthday party for his best friend’s daughter and sees a man staring intensely at him. Unfortunately, Anniston acts very possessive toward the Omega who is his fated mate, and this makes Daniel uncomfortable. Yet they find more and more in common as they get to know each other, especially in their health-related pursuits. Anniston is a personal trainer. Daniel is a nutritionist. Since Anniston has always wanted to include good nutrition in his line of work, it made sense that he and Daniel should become business partners to make this happen. As they work together, Daniel can see that Anniston is a good match for him. He doesn’t want to hurt Vince, but his feelings are getting stronger toward Anniston and becoming much more than just friendship. Is he ready to choose? Will he accept his fated mate? Or will he stay with Vince?
This was a good story with likable characters and great pacing. The tension kept the reader fully involved wondering how this potentially explosive situation could be resolved without some major issues. Grab your copy and see how the relationships develop and the decisions get made in this intriguing situation!
One MC is a shy self-conscious Omega Nutritionist who learned about nutrition as a form of self-defense. He'd been a fat kid & teen. While he was teased and bullied by his peers, it was nothing in comparison to how verbally abusive his parents were.
Whenever he experienced stress or anxiety those voices would come back to him spewing vicious hurtful words. Making him doubt himself and feel unworthy especially of good things. He's sensitive and sometimes his self defense methods are a bit blunt or acerbic.
The Omega really liked the attention of the sexy Fireman who he was surprisingly dating made him feel special and he enjoyed the time spent with his friend's daughter. He's never been a Man Magnet so why is there another Alpha hot to steal him away from the Fireman? Fated what?! Just no!
He was content and didn't want any arrogant interfering Alpha coming along disturbing things. His Fireman was a settled member of the community, while the new Alpha still had many packed boxes after over a year in town. How can he trust his heart to someone so unstable? If he couldn't commit to living in Timberwood Cove, how could the Omega believe he'd commit to a mere Nutritionist without much to offer?
I am loving reading this series with the new characters (Human & Wolves) and even new packs being introduced.
It's fated mate vs. chosen mate for human omega Daniel, as he finds himself the object of affection of two very different alpha wolf shifters. For Anniston, the pull to his fated mate is strong, but not his confidence in competing with his packmate to win Daniel's heart.
This is very much a story about one's personal insecurities nearly destroying their own happiness. Daniel's biggest obstacle is negative self-talk and feelings of being unlovable, unattractive and worthless courtesy of awful parents, while Anniston's inability to control his wild inner wolf leads to irrational jealousy, fears, and feelings of rejection.
Ultimately, though, the working relationship, friendship, and deep love and connection that builds between Anniston and Daniel - and with a little pack intervention - proves strong enough to overcome the obstacles, and it's a steamy and passionate journey worth taking. My only real quibble with this book is the current cover art, which is supposed to depict Anniston since Daniel doesn't have that same physique, but does not reflect his being Asian.
I enjoyed new-to-me narrator Jack Richmond's performance, and he gave the characters voices that are easy to distinguish. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.
This was an enjoyable read. The right amount of romance, angst and steam. I'm really loving this series and the lead ins into future books. It flows so nicely and keep you wanting and anticipating more. Anniston and Daniel's story did not disappoint.Anniston recognizes Daniel as his fated mate but their are some difficulties ...Daniel is already involved with a shifter of Anniston's pack.I loved how Anniston went on wooing Daniel...not coming off too strong but having a lot of patience and building on what they have in common...nutrition...genius. Both have a lot of insecurities but they were able to trust each other and developed a strong bond that overrode those issues and become a family. Anniston being an Asian (Korean descent...if I'm going by his last name) shifter was a new one for me and I loved it. Its refreshing to see other cultures and it makes it more enjoyable when I recognize things, like KPop...I love kpop and kdrama:) A lovely ending and a lovely lead in to Vince's story...Daniel's ex.

To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I have to admit when i first started reading this i wasnt sure what sort of story we were going to have. Mainly because Annistions fated mate was with someone else, and it seemed that Daniel although he got told he was Annistons fated mate he wasnt going to give him a chance. But as the story got on i was relieved that Daniel although he had some issues did indeed give Anniston the chance he needed to prove who he was and that he wasnt just barging in to take what was his. And Anniston did indeed prove himself, over his plans on Nutrition and protein bars. Together these two slowly bond. But its Daniel who has to make the choice. He cant just lead both Vince and Anniston on.
I usually give this Author a 5 star rating because i just really love reading his books, and honestly this one is no exception but for the first part of the story i had to solider on because i really didnt think that anything good could come of two men fighting over an human Omega. This is only my honest opinion and
I found this world to be interesting, but I'm not sure that I liked it. What is the point of having, or believing in fated pairings if there's no real advantage to having them? The shifters in this world seem to be wholly magical - their clothes shift with them, there's no mention of bones/muscles moving, and becoming a shifter doesn't seem to involve a rewriting of human DNA. So, with all of this magical energy going around, it doesn't really make sense that the fated pairing isn't saturated with magic and, instead, seems to merely be a heightened, pheromone induced, lust.
Having said that, I enjoyed the relationship between Anniston and Danny. I liked that both had some serious insecurities that they had to consciously cope with, in order to truly have a strong relationship. I even liked how the big breakup was handled, on both sides. This can often make one character seem, to me, to be over the top, or out of control, but I felt that both Anniston and Danny reacted true to their character.
Anniston's Fate is an interesting take on the Shifter and alpha/beta/omega world. We meet Anniston, an attractive fitness conscious trainer who instantly realizes he has a fated mate and his mate is with someone else.
Liam Kingsley has created a world which I find breathtakingly beautiful. Take a run with one of his shifters and feel the adrenaline, smell the earth and see all its beauty from the eyes of one of its fiercest creatures. Experience the transition from man to wolf, and feel the caged beast within fighting for freedom and dominance.
Liam has shown a different view of a loved trope, bringing elements of choice and inner demons to the table. He gave life to each main character with depth and emotional traumas that endear the reader to these characters. From the beginning readers are pulled in by the angst and the way the story hits you in the gut with feelings.
The story had a heartfelt ending, that felt very honest and real. It left us without a doubt of Liam’s intention to write a sequel to this lovely piece. Looking forward to the next one!
Patience, patience, who has patience? Daniel was dating Vince. He was in the same pack as Anniston. Anniston had help raise his siblings helping his Mother. Now that they were all gone, he ventured out looking for his own life. He ended up in Vince's pack. He rented a house and after a year, his boxes were still mostly packed. Anni recognized Danny as his mate while recognizing he was with Vince. Major complication! Danny, was human, a nutritionist who worked at the hospital. He was aware of shifters and willing to keep the secret. He had major baggage and Vince made him feel safe and comfortable. Anniston was a bit of an intrusion. How vested is Vince? Will Anniston step over Vince? What does Daniel think of two wolves interested in him? Will his baggage get in the way? Very nice story. The courtships are relaxing and honor Daniel. Can he set his baggage aside? Nicely done. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Anniston meets his fated mate, Daniel, the problem is he is dating someone else, needless to say Anniston's reaction is less than perfect. Daniel is such a sweet, lovely guy with the worst self-esteem ever. This is down to being bullied at school for being overweight and his parents who sounded like awful human beings with how they constantly broke him down and made him feel completely worthless. Can Anniston win Daniel over, if he wants to he will need to be a lot softer and not quite so forward. When Anniston approaches Daniel with a proposal for a business the two join forces and Daniel slowly warms to Anniston and the two start building something really special together but when Anniston gets the wrong end of the stick about a situation it may just spell the end of their relationship. Can Anniston and Daniel let go of their baggage and build something lasting together? Read it and find out.

What do you do when your fated mate is dating someone else? Be patient and have calculated moves to vie for his heart or begin to bristle and try to stake your claim immediately?
Anniston’s wolf was in attention when Daniel (Danny) showed up for a birthday party. Unfortunately, Daniel did not show up alone. He was on the arm of Vincent from another pack. Naturally, Anniston’s wolf didn’t approve of this relationship and began to rear itself in a powerfully spectacular claiming fashion. When River broke the news to Danny regarding the fated mate situation with Anniston and questioned his feelings regarding Vince, the story only got better from there.
Such a sweet story to balance the love between Anniston and Danny.
Another great addition to the Timberwood Cove Series.
Read and fall in love with their HEA.

Danny is slowly coming out of his shell and ignoring the voices of his dead parents in his head while dating Vince. He is quite surprised to find out that he is the fated mate of Anniston. He knows about shifters but never thought he would be fought over. He's not good enough or special enough for that. Well, if he listened to what his parents kept telling him, he didn't deserve anything and would never succeed. Anniston has his work cut out for himself. His fated mate is dating his packmate, and he is very skittish. After one of their brief discussions, Anniston realizes that they share similar interests that may help him get closer to him even if it's just as a business partner. The characters have depth, charisma, and intrigue. The storyline has suspense, excitement, and passion. Great read.

Anniston's Fate is another well written enjoyable story in the Timberwood Cove Pack series. Anniston is an alpha who had to take over helping his mom with his younger siblings when his father died. Now able to start his own life he finds himself in Timberwood Cove. He finds his fated mate in Daniel, though Daniel is already in a relationship with Vince. Now I can't be the only one who wanted to see Anniston, Daniel, and Vince in a relationship together, but oh well. In the end it looks like Vince will find his fated mate and at least he can still be friends with Danny. I wasn't sure in the beginning, but I do like Anniston and Danny together. I think they're good for each other and balance each other out. I can't get enough of this sweet series. I look forward to each new story to see who's going to find their fated mate and have their happy ending. I highly recommend this book and series.

This is the eleventh book in the Timberwood Cove series and can be read as a standalone.
Anniston had a wild/free spirit: he wasn’t as put together, as some of the other alphas in the series. He was rough around the edges but his insecurity of not being enough for Danny was genuine. Danny was sweet and it took him a while to sort out what he wanted. He was self conscious about his looks and had doubts about his self worth but his issues made him more real. Anniston and Danny were beautiful together.
The author focused a lot on Danny and his insecurities but I think the author slightly overlooked Anniston.
I’m looking forward to reading Vince’s story and judging by how this book ended, it’s going to be so good.

Anniston is at a party at his best friend's house when he meets his mate, Danny, for the first time. - But his mate is together with another man, who is not only a pack mate, but also a successful, self-confident man.. As his mate is human, both start to work for the affection of Danny. Danny knows that he is fated to Anniston, but low self-esteem makes it difficult to make a decision about who to be with, until Anniston is asking for his help in a business venture he has in mind. A good story, depicting the problem of low self-esteem and the consequences of verbal abuse. Even fated mates need to work on their relationship skills. This is the story of two wounded souls that fate deemed are perfect for each other but they have a long journey until their HEA. Daniel is extremely insecure about himself because of his upbringing, has trust issues and his self-esteem is practically absent. Anniston’s wolf is very unstable because he didn't have an alpha to guide and support when he was little and his emotions run very high. This one teaches us the importance of trust, patience, friendship, love, forgiveness and the fact you have to fight for what's important because fate is not enough if you don't deserve it and understand is a team effort and communication for harmony and happiness. It was a great story and I can't wait for Vince’s book.
Anniston meets his fated mate accompanied by his boyfriend. Wolf Shifter Anniston Park is talking to his Alpha when he looks up and sees a gorgeous human male approaching with pack mate Vince and he feels a pulling in his chest indicating he has found his Fated Mate. Daniel had been seeing Vince for several months but childhood abuse means that he finds it hard to believe that anyone would want to keep him. When Danny and Vince turn away Anniston growls and wants to follow him but is held back by his Alpha who tries to get him to calm down. Anniston knows he must find a way to get to know Danny and hopefully get him to choose to be his mate.

Your fated mate is an insecure human. How do you convince him needs worthy?
What a great addition to this series. Welcome back to Timberwood Cove. My old friends appeared and pulled me back into their world. It was like I had never left. Low angst, patience, steamy scenes, some jealousy, romance, and humor. What's not to love! Anniston's wolf knows Daniel is his mate. He wants to claim him Now. But Daniel is human, and very insecure due to his parents emotional abuse. But a business arrangement with Anniston quickly turns into something more. Anniston's wolf will have to be patient, as Daniel learns the man he's dating isn't his mate. The chemistry between them is as intense as it is inevitable. Come. Join Anniston and Daniel on their journey to HEA. With the help of good friends they will overcone their insecurities, accept their worth, and find the love & family they have both been craving. You will love this book! This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
This book is one of my favorites in the series. I loved all the characters. There are no villains here (not in the present, anyway), just everyday wolf shifters living their lives, finding their mates, and raising families. The villains here are the characters' own thoughts and emotions. jealousies and insecurities. I really liked the way Vince behaved. He wanted Danny, but more than that he wanted Danny happy. Their was no underhanded backstabbing between Anniston and Vince, just reasonable competitiveness. I loved Anniston's family and also seeing characters from the other books. I am really looking forward to Vince's book.

Anniston’s Fate by author Liam Kingsley is the 11th book in the Timberwoods Cove series. This story is written in dual POV. And this story though part of a series can be read as a stand alone novel and understood just fine. Anniston: lived in Timberwood Cove for 14 months. Friends with Mason the Alpha. The minute he saw Daniel he knew that he was his fated mate. But Daniel only had eyes for another man. Daniel is very nervous by nature. Anxiety is his old friend. Doesn’t really believe that anyone would want him and stay with him. They start off as friends and business partners. I liked that. Felt very natural how they got together. I loved this story and cannot wait for more from this series in the future.
This story had my emotions running the gamut. We truly got to know Anniston, met his family, and got to see more of Daniel and Vince. What happens at Izzy's birthday party captured me and did not let me stop reading until I finished the story. There were some highs and lows, displays of dominance, some scoldings from the head/lead Alpha, some competitiveness, and a whole lot of wooing with love to be found! I have my suspicions on who the mysterious stranger is at the end of the book, so I guess I'll find out in Vince's story if I am right or not! Enjoy the read!

Usually when I read a story with fated mates, the couple can't wait to sleep with each other, fall immediately in lust and in love. Anniston's Fate was pleasantly a bit different: The fated pair in this story, Anniston and Danny, took some time before they got together. I loved how there was pining on the Alpha (Anniston) part and Danny, the Omega, didn't rush to lust. I also liked how the competitor to Danny's affections and heart wasn't a villain. He was also a nice, sweet guy who wanted the best for Danny and Anniston.
