Deadside Reapers #3

Reaper Untamed

Rate this book
Actions have consequences, and my actions are about to kick me in the teeth.

I’m still reeling from the unthinkable. Lucas is gone. It’s all my fault and if the dominus can’t find evidence that my actions were under duress then the consequences will be lethal.

Sanctuary lies with Grayson and his pack, but I’m a rare commodity—a female loup in a world where females are rare—and the other packs aren’t going to back off without a fight. Even if I escape the executioner’s noose, the loup world isn’t about to let me go so easily.

This time there is no hiding. This time there is no get out of jail free card. The loup world is about to swallow me whole, and I'm not sure I'll make it out alive.

A kickass Urban fantasy with a why choose romance. Vampires, ghosts, angels, and demons. Perfect for readers who enjoy forbidden romance, enemies to lovers, or friends to lovers.

This series is losing me....she is "collecting" men but doesn't actually have any of them. I'm all for a bit of angst but I'm going into book 4 and she hasn't worked through her issues with any of them. This would be okay if the driving force behind each book is the plot - but it's not. Nothing is resolved on that front either.
There's nothing wrong with this series, I think this is my personal hang ups. So if you've read and like Debbie Cassidy's other series give this one a try :)

This book! Fee has been through the ringer and the hits just don't seem to want to stop. Luckily, she has three sexy Dominus Reapers who are there to help her... and an alpha wolf who steps in when things get tough. But, somehow, she still ends up with yet another wolf ready to die for her and he's halfway to claiming her as his!

All the feels are in this book. So much chemistry. Alphas gone wild. Betas backing their alphas. Omegas that need protecting. Snarky tulpa. An imp. A snake. A long lost father. Fraternal twins. Spirit of a dead friend. Chanting bad guys. So much more.

And these guys:

- Azazel, Conah, Malachi, Greyson... and maybe Hunter? Hmmm.

I did miss Uriel in this book. I really am excited to find out what will happen next though! This is an honest review given after reading the ARC.

Mixed feelings on this series so far. I feel the fractured nature of Fee’s supernatural life is really pulling the plot in too many directions. Add in the drama around her guys, ALL of which have major hang-ups they are keeping secret from her, and I just can’t bring myself to invest (let alone be excited about) any of Fee’s guys just yet. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Mal had some secret fiancé or mate too...I mean FECK. Fee can’t catch a break.

I love that Fee is this flaming angry cinnamon roll of a
character, but has she really grown that much from
Book 1 to book 3? Supernatural powers (and secret dads) aside...Fee is essentially the same person as she was in book 1. I think Cora has shown more growth (and is more interesting) at this point than Fee, as we still don’t know what a Tulpa is or what it means for Cora and Fee.

I can’t say I am rooting for anyone to be in the harem. Now we are off to see Lilith—not chasing hooded dudes or hunting Reaper knives or...reaping. Shouldn’t Fee be reaping?.Don’t get me started on the miasma!

This wasn’t my favorite Debbie Cassidy series, but I’m interested enough to read the next one coming out soon. I hope more is learned about Cora and someone (anyone) comes forward as a worthy partner for Fee. Not because of fate or mates or power struggles or smells or tastes or blood or curses or pheromones or miasma or being in heat. Geeeeeez those are a lot of bullshitty excuses to be attracted to Fee. Why can’t someone, uh, love her because of boring old mushy feelings!?!

There is a lot going on, I felt like there are 10 different storylines. It was all a bit confusing.

I will read the next one for the sake of something to do.

I was so excited for this series, there were some flaws, but the characters and plot where interesting enough to over look it, and I hoped they would be resolved as I read, so I pushed through, but the weird character choices just kept growing and getting worse. and I'm dropping it here.

I just finished book three of a series, the first book had three men, two of which were instantly hot and heavy and suggestive with the MC, but nothing happened, which is great, I love a slow burn... but its the end of book three and not only has she not resolved her issues with the initial three men but has one more love interest, and two more potentials... that she also has insane issues with, and can't be with.

So lets take stock, 5 men (one in the wings), none of which can be in a relationship with her for all different and crazy ass reasons. and its three books in and she STILL can't be with any of them?!? Can someone say frustrating? Lord God Almighty. not only that, but some of these men are fucked up, and not in the sexy way. In the extreme sexist, child predator way. and I cannot be okay with that, and its the final straw as to why I'm dropping the series.

Hunter was introduced in book two as the alpha of a pack that wants to trade for another alphas two females who are 14, so they could breed them. "If they are old enough to bleed they are old enough to breed". It was quickly understood that this man is a fucking sicko. He is a fucking predator, not just to those 14 year old kids, but to our main girl, threatening to take her against her will and keep her under his feet. Easy villain material right? FUCKING WRONG. Towards the end of this book he takes advantage of our MC while she is completely unaware and being controlled by her wolf, and mates her. Once she finds this out, she says she hates him, but also wants him and starts leaning into him and trusts him enough to take comfort from him and pass out in his arms. then is told by her best friend that she needs to give him a chance and that she subconsciously picked him because her wolf is a part of her and her wolf picked him. a FUCKING RAPIST. No. no no no. Aint going to happen. I'm not party to this bullshittery.

Also, the annoying best friend and the snake? They just pull away from the story. I really think just scrapping them is the best option. but I have been trying out this authors other books and giving the MC an annoying best friend who is insanely close to them and calls them "babe" seems to be a theme with this author. One I hope they grow out of. Having a best friend is fine, but I'd like them to be unique and not just used solely as an outside conscious/plot device. The amount of times the best friend is used as an answer to all their problems is eye rolling.

What did I just read.....

SO MANY TWISTS .... were they are necessary.... probs not ...
*******spoilers********** spoilers*********spoilers****

Ok so feee is now loup and she gets caught up with Grayson and it’s all tension tension will they won’t they ... they kind of do get to 2nd base but they don’t seal the deal BUT THEN hunter who is graysons fraternal twin claims her in wolf form and she doesn’t even know him or like him and that’s a bit ... how ya goin... but then I wonder - what do we know of Grayson really —— I don’t like him I don’t get good vibes from him. If fee was his one true love he couldn’t bang his witch side piece now could he. Soooo I am joining team hunter...

As for the demons AZ pisses me off but I understand why he holding back. I would too. The heat scene I have mixed feelings about. I wanted hunter there basically. I wanted a AZ fee hunter samwich... damit!

Ok and her dead side fam just get completely ignored basically - who is doing her reaping while she is off playing wolf?

I dunno fam.... I loved it I was thrown through the ringer with the twists and turns. I completely forgot who Lucas was and didn’t really care.

It’s messy in how many people are involved and their own little dramas.

Not to even mention Cora and jasper who needs a whole story by itself or better yet. Interstate Cora completely and deal with jasper seperate you becAuse if fee is a
Demon
Loup
Witch

Then let her be all three instead of splitting her off because it feels wrong/ off kilter to have part of the main character not part of the main character. She cut off herself .. and Cora is off living this seperate life I hate it... not a fan.

3-3.5 star.. I hate to say it.. but this story is headed down hill for me. As it stands, things keep dragging out an on and new stuff keeps coming in without ever tying up the ends of the last stuff. Its starting to get jumbled and messy. I am still liking it but dang can we please get back to the main story now? I feel like we have just really gotten off track going to stay with Grayson and his pack and in all honesty I'm not really sure how its added to the main story in any way shape or form other than now we have a little bit clearer lineage for our FMC. I also have to say I was fine with Grayson nosing his way into our harem but this other dude came outta nowhere.

I feel like if the author doesn't start giving some conclusions to all the paths we have here that my OCD just isn't going to be able to handle this series. Hoping book 4 gets us back on the reaper track. I need some answers not yet another story line leading me off in another direction with even more questions presenting themselves.

I noped the fuck right out of this book after the beautiful wolfy rape of lurvvv. DNFed at like 2/3 through.

The werewolf stuff just ruins the series. Like Fee's already a surprise reaper then demon then werewolf then alpha. When does it end? All in all, Fee had way too many unrelated powers that cropped up way too quickly.

Wolfy politics were a gaping plot hole for me. Why does werewolf shit trump Dominus shit? It makes no sense. And wouldn't there be exceptions to creatures that lose control? They don't seem to give a single fuck about humans up to this point.

The book was steamy but it's for sure a slow burn. Some making out, no sex scenes ASIDE FROM THE RAPE if you can even count that. (You can't.) It has otome game vibes where all guys are into her and there are separate little scenes with all of them.

There are four other books in the series but I won't be continuing. If you are a reader that can bounce back after an 'oops I was confuzzz' rape, you might be able to enjoy it still. I can't.

Fee has suffered an incredible shock and tragedy at the end of book two and she finds herself in an unknown and terrifying situation. She is guilt-ridden and scared as she submits to the powers that be and accepts a truth that has totally changed her world. Her life as she knew it is over in the most horrific way. She is scared and devastated, with no idea what will happen to her or if she will even survive the new predicament she has found herself in. An opportunity presents itself through Grayson, an unexpected lifeline, and though it gets her out of one jam, it thrusts her right into the middle of another. This one includes a lot more rules, a host of hostility, more danger, and a vicious environment where one wrong step will get you killed.

This book exploded with action from page one. Where books one and two were laying the foundation and getting us used to the world we've been thrown into book three is nothing but intrigue, action, and excitement. We have all the previous characters make an appearance. We get to learn more about the Dominus men and their pasts. Azazel finally opens up- albeit not completely his idea and not happily-and includes Fee in his world. But we also get to meet a whole host of new characters in the Loup world. I actually can not say anymore as it will spoil too much!

The details in this book are amazing! You can imagine everything going on and you get lost in all the politics and storylines that are happening. The character development is progressing so well that I really with these people were real and were my friends! The wit and banter are there in classic Debbie Cassidy style and the same goes for the sarcasm and heat!

I can not wait for the next book in the series and urge you to stop reading this review and start reading this book!! Be prepared to be hot and bothered, shocked and amazed, and most of all be prepared to fall for all the guys!!

Okay so if you are a big fan of Debbie, like me, then you know that this is going to be good. I have been looking forward to this one since the ending to Reaper Uninvited. A lot happened there and I needed to know what was going to happen next. I was not disappointed. So much happens here.

Fee is imprisoned because of what happened in book two. Which I do not want to give any spoilers away, but I will say she is beaten down right now for something she thinks she did. When her guys rally to get her out, she also gets the help of werewolf alpha Grayson. But with a price. She must join his pack so he can offer her sanctuary. He wants more from her, and her newly found wolf. He helps her to become one with her wolf and teaches her control. Meanwhile her guys are trying to free her to return to her reaper duties.

I have to say Fee's love life is so complicated that I could scream. There are those that want her, and she wants them, but obstacles lie in the way. I am so frustrated with their relationships, I want our girl to have the happiness that she deserves and fights for.

Reaper Untamed is a wild ride, I would recommend finding a few hours in a nice corner and enjoy this read. There is a small cliffhanger at the end, but thankfully we do not have long to wait.

This is the third book in this series, and I think they just keep getting better and better. Poor Fee just has so much going on, and now she has to deal with her Loup side. Since she’s had to stay with Grayson’s pack for her safety, she is drawn to him, but she doesn’t want to give in to her Loup side as her life is her Reaper side. I just love how Fee is so fierce. She doesn’t let anyone coddle her or let them take over for her. I am generally not into the RH genre (it’s OK, just not my favorite), but this author is so good at just drawing the reader in, I just can’t help but read. This was a great addition to the series, and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next! Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I gave it 3.5 stars

I am conflicted.....

I liked the new side of Fee, the character development she went through during this chapter of her journey, and the most of the new characters that were introduced. What I didn't care for was the relationship developments towards the end of REAPER UNTAMED.

Without giving anything away, I just don't understand the direction that this is going in. Maybe this person will be redeemed in future books, but right now after his behavior in REAPER UNTAMED all I can do is say WTF? Him? Really?!!

Book 4 should be interesting.

The truth about Fee's bloodline came to light and now she needs to find Lucas to prove she's innocent to the crime of killing him. But it's not an easy feat. The werewolf clans all want her and she needs to fight to stand her ground. Grayson, local werewolf alpha helps her, but Hunter, soon-to-be alpha of the rival pack wants her too. Too bad that Fee doesn't want anything to do with him. Now Fee needs to prove her innocence, save her three Dominus, and stay away from Hunter, all while finding the truth about her parents. As usual, Cora is the most awesome character ever, and I wish Cyril had a little bit more action in the book.

The cliffhanger endings need to stop though

These books read like an episode of a tv show. They always end on a cliffhanger, not every single book in the series needs to have a cliffhanger.

Fee is really learning about who she is in this book. SO MUCH happens here with learning about who she is, her abilities and her feelings for the guys.

Is Hunter really that bad? Truly? I’m not sure, so far we’ve only been told he’s bad but I don’t think I’ve truly seen it aside from the negotiations for the female wolves in the last book I believe. Other than that nothing nefarious has happened with him.

I really hope we get someone to commit to Fee here soon.

4.5 Rounded Up

Holy smokes! While Books 1 & 2 were spent crafting this complex world and laying the ground work for a harem in flux.... this book slammed it into high gear, changed the rules, introduced new characters and smacked the established heroes around a bit. It was brutal, rather painful and still somehow beautiful.

We've already seen Deadside and met the Reapers, now it's time to really face the loups in this strange world, and what that side of her means for Fee. It's quite literally a Dog eat Dog world and Fee has fallen smack dab in the middle of it.

Secrets are revealed (a few surprising ones!!) and some answers are give, but in true Cassidy style, there are far more questions poised than resolutions found, and we end on a cliffhanger that could change everything.

Ouch.

**I received an ARC of this book and am thrilled to share my honest opinion!**

The series is getting a bit more interesting.

Still a pretty forgettable read, this author can do a lot more than this, but it's worth reading and worth continuing the series, if you've come so far.

Oh, and little spoiler: the series gets better (or at least more interesting).

And, also: try other series from this author, if you've never read her before. She's definitely worth it!

Ehhh... it's KIND OF a reverse harem... not really. This is the first book with actual sex in it is think, and it was right at the end.

This book is basically focused on Fee's time w the Regency Pack. Fee is arrested when her human ex boyfriend Lucas is killed. All Fee remembers is going to her old human house at Lucas's request and then the hooded figures appear and they chant and then Fee's wolf comes out. When she comes to, Lucas is dead, and her wolf had definitely eaten someone. Fee is assumed to have eaten Lucas, and she needs a pack's protection to make bail. All of the packs want her bc she is a breedable female but Grayson shows up in time to claim her. She stays with his pack for a few days, learning how to let her wolf out and learning about pack hierarchy and whatnot, while she's waiting for the Dominus guys to track down Lucas's ghost to serve as a witness to the fact that Fee didn't kill him intentionally. Fee finds out she's an alpha too but she doesn't want to become a permanent part of any loup pack, she wants her freedom so she can go back to the Underrealm. She has to fight in the culling to achieve this.

The FMC is Seraphina but everyone calls her Fee which is a hideous nickname if you ask me... Fee is apparently all the things, she's part witch and part wolf and part demon blah blah... in this book, she finds out her mom was a secret witch and her dad is Elrick, the alpha over the rival pack. He thought she died as a baby. He sees her for the first time when she's in the culling to fight for her right to be a lone protected alpha...but of course she doesn't win her fight bc ANOTHER surprise mate is thrown in.. Hunter is the alpha in training under Elrick, and he also happens to be Grayson's twin brother, and he ends up being Fee's 'fated wolf mate' -- a perfect genetical match apparently, or some shit... But Hunter is an asshole and keeps saying he wants to 'hurt' Fee and get her to submit to him, so she tries to fight him in the culling but she fails and he's about to force her submission when luckily her dad recognizes her and calls the whole thing off. HOWEVER... Hunter already partially mated to Fee when she was in her wolf form freaking DAYS before that. And no one knew or noticed. 🙄 They're wolves but no one smelled that her wolf mated with Hunter or noticed the blood or scratch marks on her neck... seriously. Come on. Fee assumes she dreamed it and just writes it off. Like oh my lady bits tingled but it was just a dream.. Fuck off you fuckin moron.
Anywho... Hunter protects her when the hooded figures show up after the culling but she still doesn't wanna mate him in human form to complete the mating bond, so she leaves w the Dominus guys. They finally take her home. They'd captured one out of the six hooded figures and they question him but he turns to ash after seeing Cora. Cora realizes the guy was a Tulpa but no one knows whose Tulpa he is, why he's after Fee (aside from the fact that it's his mission to do so even tho she's an 'innocent' bc it is simply what must be done), no one knows if all 6 HFs are tulpas, and if they are, if they're tulpas from different people or the same person/witch.... so they go about their usual shit for maybe like a day, then Fee gets hit with her Heat, which is disgusting. Only her fated mate is supposed to ignite it and then help her ride it out. But Fee won't go to Hunter, so Az steps up and sticks his dick in Fee for her Heat period of like 24 hours, under the hope that being her soul mate will be enough to keep the Heat at bay. It works for the time being, but Fee is told by Petra that the Heat will keep happening more often until it kills her or she mates w Hunter, or she kills Hunter, OR she mates w Grayson... this is a guess on her part, but she thinks mating w Grayson will confuse the Heat enough since he's fraternal twins w Hunter... ugh 🙄🙄

So now she has a decision to make. She is in love w AZ.. and sexing him up during her Heat only clarified that further (and drove her to fuck him one more time after the Heat was over.. amd then he left, and tried to shut off his emotions to hide his feelings from his mom Lilith, in a sad attempt to protect Fee from the homicidal maniac that is his creepy crazy overprotective mother)... Fee is also probably in love with Mal and Conah. Mal was going to try and sleep w Fee to distract her from her Az heartbreak but then they got the invitation to Conah's wedding and got a little distracted by the fact that the invite came from Lilith herself, wherein she is insisting that she meet the new Dominus at the wedding. So much for Fee being kept away from the big bad Lilith bitch...
Andddd Fee is attracted to Grayson, and obviously somewhat attracted to Hunter also, although she respects and trusts Grayson a hell of a lot more than Hunter.
Oh, and Fee has a weird fucking relationship with her snake Cyril. And who knows what's going on with the malevolent spirit thing that's connected to Cora now, Jasper..?
What a mess.

Wow what is Debbie Cassidy doing to me! This series has got to be one of her best...as soon as I started reading I was completely hooked, once again, and I could not put it down! It starts off where book two finished and it is full of action, fighting, danger, magic, steam, heartache and drama!

Once again Fee is dynamic and fierce...actually more fierce but you still see that vulnerable side to her. She is so confused over all her feeling for the guys and she so wants to maintain her freedom and her right to choose...such a fight ahead of her to have it all! And Cora is continuing to develop and become independent from Fee and you can just feel how this breaks Fee a little bit, but it is good for Cora.

Then the guys in this book...this time we really get to know Greyson and Az more but they also bring with them heartache. There are some great POV from all the guys that really bring the reader into their minds and help for us to understand their decisions...as they make stupid male decisions 🤣. Mal, the favourite, is still great in this book even though we only get glimpses of him.

We also get to meet another great female supporting characters, Vi. You just want to not like her but cannot help it. You really want what is best for her even if you hope she does not get it! No spoilers though!! A bit like Kiara..got to love the great female characters in this book.

Once again I cannot wait to read book four...with that killer ending and heartbreaking moments I am left counting the weeks for the next book. Highly recommended series by an extremely talented author.

I am absolutely BARRELLING through this series.

I honestly can't tear my eyes away and it's not simply a side effect of the heart-gripping and addicting slow-burn relationship dynamic between Fee and the men, it also has everything to do with the intricately layered and utterly intriguing plot.

Fee is taken into custody for killing a human as we know and Grayson just barely makes it to her trial on time (through no fault of his own, *cough* Hunter), to claim his protection over her.
Once taken to Grayson's pack, Fee is quick to assert her dominance over the other Loup, which leads to an epic revelation...
Fee isn't just a Loup, she's a fucking ALPHA
WOO.
This definitely stirs the pot.
But it is certainly fitting for her and I wouldn't expect anything less.

Fee gets a glimpse of the pack life and realizes it's not where she feels most at home.
It's not right for her, regardless of Grayson's pleas of becoming mated with her.
He recognizes his equal in Fee and can't help but be drawn to her on a primal level; however, he grants her the choice of fighting for her freedom to become a protected lone alpha Loup.
He knows he can't hold her back because they want different things and Fee is not willing to commit that life with him alone.

The culling comes around and to Fee's surprise, Hunter is in the running to fight another Loup so that he can fight and subsequently claim her for his pack.
Hunter, whom we meet at the beginning of the book, is Grayson's twin and the ascending alpha of the Rising pack.
He's so broody and intense, I couldn't help but fall in love with him instantly.
He knew Fee was an alpha from the beginning and told her as much; he also mentioned that he would fuck the shit out of her while treating her as his equal....
Shit.
My type of man.
She stands up to his challenge of course and is on the cusp of being overpowered by Hunter at the culling, until the alpha of the Rising pack speaks up, halting the entire fight.
It's then that Fee meets her father.
With his status, he ultimately grants her the protection she needs to be a lone alpha.

This is not by any means the end of the Loup situation though.
Far from it, since we find out pretty soon after that Hunter and Fee's wolves are fated mates; and to boot, their wolf forms already sealed the deal, leaving them both with a pretty little claw mark to remember it by.
Hunter drops this bomb on them and Fee is conflicted because her body is clearly attracted to him but her heart is lagging behind.
Hunter wants to complete the bond but Fee (and therefore her father) won't allow it; this doesn't really help to quell the fast-approaching HEAT, that plunges Fee into a heightened state of arousal wherein, she is desperate for her mate, i.e., Hunter.
This is obviously NOT going to work for her and so alternative actions have to be taken, which I will get to…

It's actually quite shocking and absolutely delicious that we don't yet have any truly confirmed and/or committed harem members up to this point; however, I do believe that this will all be changing in book four.
*Rubs hands maniacally
I will say though, I am reveling in the slow-build of this harem, the suspense of who will be in or out is absolutely killing me, albeit in the most exquisite way.

The Dominus' are at the mercy of the Loup while Fee is on trial and fighting for her freedom but they refuse to be idle, devoting their time to finding Lucas' ghost which will grant Fee her innocence.
They literally almost die and Fee makes a deal with Jasper to help pull them out and save them; thus, binding him to Cora.
We will get to her in a minute too.

First, there’s Conah , who is still very much engaged to sweetheart Kiara.
Poor girl, has no idea her soulmate is practically killing himself holding back his feelings for Fee.
Conah is undoubtedly going to crack soon, I truly don't think he will be able to control his emotions much longer and I for one, am salivating at the thought of watching him give into that storm of lust, passion, and dare I say, love he has for Fee.
I just know their first union will be nothing short of explosive.

Then we have Az.
He's a real piece of work.
Him and Fee reveal to Conah and Mal that they are soulmates, which they take pretty well actually.
On one hand, Fee is starting to have BIG feelings for Az but he makes it quite clear that he doesn't plan on completing their bond; not because he doesn't care for her, but precisely because he does.
Lilith, the creator of demons is his mother.
Az is her firstborn son and she is fiercely protective of him.
With that in mind, Az knows that she will act cruelly upon any woman he lets into his heart (i.e., unaliving them) therefore, causing him to instinctively pull away from Fee for her own safety.
Az makes a devastating decision to shut off his emotions completely but not before he tries to help Fee through her heat.
She's in need of a mate and Hunter is not a viable choice rn, so Az steps in as her soulmate to help sate her thirst (well, not only that she could die too).
They have sex for the first time while she's in heat and it's euphoric (but will be detrimental) for them both.

Az had to turn his emotions back on for that moment and when Fee was more coherent, she approached him and told him how she felt.
Fee bared her heart, admitting to Az she wanted him, she told him she loved him, and asked him to make love to her just this once, while they were both fully 'themselves'.
It was absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful all at once.
The next time Fee wanders up to his room, his stuff is nowhere to be found and neither is he.
He’ll come crawling back, especially now that mummy dearest wants to meet our girl.
I highly doubt he wouldn't be present for that.
Cheers to that cliffy by the way, consider me fucking enthralled.

Then there's Mal.
He's still very much an enigma but we are learning that he has an incredibly soft side for Fee.
He falls into a protective and comforting role for Fee once she realizes that Az is gone
He understands that she's in pain and wants to be there for her, even though he feels as though he doesn't deserve her.
I do feel like there is still much to uncover when it comes to Mal; such as his previous soulmate's death, his sex curse, and don't think I missed the part where he mentioned he was short on time and wanted to spend whatever he had left with Fee.
I'm dying to find out what is cutting his time short but part of me is also terrified for that secret to come out.

At first, I wasn't sure if Grayson would be part of the harem but it's looking more like a possibility, especially with the end of this book where it is implied that Fee will try accommodating her heat by hooking up with G; the logic lies in the fact that Hunter, her fated mate and the reason she's in heat, is his twin.
Thus, the hope is that based on his genetics, he will be able to prevent Fee's unforeseen death from a lack of fucking by stepping up in that regard.
He just doesn't know yet.
I'm sure he will be game but not without some kind of compromise on Fee's part.
Why do I feel like she's going to be part of that pack whether she sees it coming or not?
Only time will tell.

I also haven't forgotten about Uri, he has been MIA for a bit but I wholeheartedly believe he will be a later harem addition. I am dying to find out more about this mysterious and powerful man.

Finally, we learnt that Cora is not only a Tulpa but also a witch; meaning, she will go out on her own one day to live her life and become her own person outside of life with Fee.
This is bittersweet but I believe it will be good for her and she deserves that.
Not to mention, things with Dean were getting a bit steamy and I'm 100% shipping them!

Catch me RUNNING to read book four.
I don't know how I got through this rambling review but I'm so beyond excited to curl up and dive into the next installment.
I only wish the books were a bit lengthier, only because I could spend forever getting lost in this stunningly captivating world.

~4.5 stars~

DNF'ing at 88% -- I cant even hate read to the end!! I am so disappointed in where this series has headed and I just cant put myself through this torture any longer haha.
The first book I LOVED. I liked Fee's character and the world building seemed easy to digest. Book 2 was ok.. but I still gave it a chance... until this book happened.
NO. JUST NO. Fee becomes a different character by the 3rd book IMO. And all the guys SUCK. AND the world building becomes a bundled mess with the story having SO, friggen, MANY open plot points with no resolution.

Unforgivable parts of the series (Spoilers, Obvi):

I can't keep going... but I have already wasted enough time mentally on this series.

NO just like ... no??

NO, this book punched me right in the jugular ... the sex ? NONE so if you're waiting for some penis and vagina time, go look somewhere else. The slow burn I could have handled if Ms. Debbie Cassidy didn't fumble the bag, I hope you're better at fondling balls or tits, because this was atrocious.

I was actually getting ready to read another book when the plot ... or lack thereof hit me right in the eye socket, wait, there is plot but oh my .. fuckity fuck it's mishandled on such a monumental level that I don't think I'll finish this series.

So essentially the book starts with Fee in a very dire situation and one of her non-harem-but-yet-he-is-one-of-her-harem men come bulldozing into the situation and saves her. From here Fee is like a stick in the mud and she drags her heels like no other and she gets ready to fight for her the very thing she values most. Independence. Autonomy.

And for like maybe, half of the book it's just talk about getting her to that point where she could potentially get het autonomy.

AND THEN

Let's just say a plot twist wrings our necks around.

Okay onto the harem..........OR SO YOU WOULD THINK WHAT FUCKING HAREM.

she has men tripping over their dicks for her attention but yet she's mateless, dickless and loveless..... HUH????????? at this point I assumed (i know what they say about assuming, back up) she would have gotten with one of them because SERAPHINA !!! you're ... stupid. (also i get not wanting to just jump into a relationship with men that you don't know or for that matter fully trust)

BUT COME ON.

OMIGOD THE SEX SCENE I FORGOT ABOUT THAT !!!!!!!!

despite everything about this book giving me a mental wedgie I'd still sell my kidney to finish this series because I am INVESTED there's a lot that could be changed or whatever but ohmigod !

anyway read this book, it's good.

Honestly, I didn't finish it (I had like 20 pages left, maybe?), but GOD it infuriated me. I hope the author addresses it like it should be adressed in the future, but the MC was so nonchalant about it (as the other characters) that I doubt it happens.

Here come spoilers, and also a kind of trigger warning about assault.

So, when the Crimson whatever else alpha mates with the FMC in wolf form, WHEN SHE ISN'T ABLE TO CONSENT, OR KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING, that is rape, because yes, it entails sex (and even if it didn't, he blantantly takes advantage of her knowing full well the situation). He knew she wasn't herself, it was the wolf, and he knew she wouldn't want that if she was able to choose. Did he care? He didn't, so he went ahead anyway, and he latter used it to try and make her submit infront of everyone, acting damn proud about it, and I'm guessing, he would end up making her his slave.

Absolutely disgusting, but I find even more disgusting when they just glose over that, and then HER FATHER, WHO CLAIMS LOVES HER AND YADAYADAYADA, just "warns" him thay if he goes ahead he will kill him, but what about what he has already done?

I don't care if there is a redeptiom arc later, this is absolutely disgusting.

I'm not saying this against the author, I just believe this should be adressed with the importance and care it deserves. Granted, maybe in the future she does and I just was too impatient to get there, but hell if it didn't drive me mad the character's attitude towards this.

So it maybe improves (I really doubt it, because there's a tendecy now to romantizice abuse in a lot of fantasy books), but I'm not going to keep reading to find out.

So, if you're like me and hate this type of trope (can it be called like that?) skip it.

Sorry for the long rant, I just needed to vent.

28% and already another woman

So my last review was a three star and I really wanted to take a star away at the end after I got through with the review. I get to 28% and find out that the alpha is already sleeping with another woman and will continue for pack best interest ( see where I went there? We excuse cheating for protection or best interest ) all the while wanting to make Fee his mate 😒 so all the guys cheat in this series and we are supposed to just accept it until what ! She excuses it and tolerates it? Or they finally say no more cheating? ..........A RH don't work that way . and if I wanted to read a harem series about men Sleeping with multi woman( so not my thing) I'd have picked out a series about that. I know technically they aren't together but I don't see any woman saying sure court me while BA##ing other woman..nothing says I want to put you first in my life in a RH like sleeping with other people. Because in a RH that exactly what it is ,not sleeping with other people outside your RH. 🤷
I might try to read some more just so I can tear it apart in the review for those that don't know about the guys in this RH sleeping with every woman ...but her. 💀

Reads Like A Parallel Novella

In 5 words: reads like a parallel novella.

Following on from two engaging - although brief - books, this instalment was a disconnected and slightly frustrating read. As number three in a continuing series I was hoping for some clarity around the main characters purpose but instead it reads as a novella which sits parallel to the main storyline. In essence, all this novella does is introduce new characters and clarify familial ancestry. Easily consumed in under 2 hours.

This series would be best read after the last book is published and the entire collection is released as one volume.

This book completely wrecked me in so many ways. It is hard to accurately put into words what was racing through my mind while reading this installment of Fee’s story. I will say that this is a series you really need to read and experience for yourself. It is utterly amazing and you will not be sorry! The grief, despair, longing, fear, jealousy, excitement, love, hate, happiness, danger…it is all here and more.

Fee suffered a terrible shock and tragedy at the end of the previous book and finds herself in an unknown, terrifying, and guilt-ridden situation that has totally rocked her world. Her life as she knew it has been ripped out from under her in a horrific way and she is scared and devastated and has no idea what is happening or if she will even survive the new predicament she has found herself in. A lifeline is offered by Greyson, an unexpected source, and though it kind of gets her out of one jam, it thrusts her right into the middle of another; one that includes a lot of rules, a lot of hostility, more danger, a vicious environment where one wrong step will get you dead and she is required to leave her Dominus life and her guys behind.

She is desperate to return to her previous status with her guys – Az, Mal, and Conah but finds herself torn with new feelings towards Greyson and his pack. She knows she will never be what Greyson needs because her heart has already been given to her Dominus guys but the attraction and longing are still there. Then there are also the other packs vying for rights to claim her. When she finds herself more accepting of her current situation an unexpected event spirals everything out of control and not even Grayson’s offered protection will get her out of this jam. She has some hard, deadly decisions to make and she has to do it alone. But, again, she is determined and will do whatever it takes to get back to her men.

In this book, there is also more character development for Cora and it is great to see. We learn more about her connection to Fee and what it really means and who she is destined to be on her own. And she starts taking more steps to become her own person, even finding an interest in the beta of Greyson’s pack and making some new friends. I love that she is growing more and coming into her own character. There is a bit of tension and disagreements between her and Fee but they are necessary growing pains that only bring them closer in the end.

We also get to meet a few new faces in this book that provide some additional threads to the story and I cannot wait to see what develops from it all. Hunter, a future alpha from a rival pack, is determined to have Fee for himself and takes a few unfair, nasty steps to make that happen; Vi, a witch attached to Greyson’s coven (and Greyson) that steps in to help Fee and even befriends Cora; some of Greyson’s pack get a bit of front row action since this book is more centered on the pack environment; and an unexpected surprise for Fee, which tilts her world again.

The Dominus guys – Az, Mal, and Conah still have some face time and we get a more up close and personal development between Fee and Az which is beautiful and heartbreaking and leaves you desperate for the next installment in the series. And Lilith’s presence is still lurking in the background providing added tension and stress Fee and the guys definitely do not need with everything else they have their hands full with. There is so much packed in this story it will grab you from the beginning and keep you engrossed until the end. And then the cliffhanger…*sigh*…yeah, I will just leave it at that. Cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

Cassidy has created a new world where the characters have amazing potential and such room for growth. The character development is ever-changing, the plotline threads are expanding and branching off in unexpected, complicated, exciting, and heartbreaking ways, new allies, new enemies, new possibilities, new dangers, and maybe even new love?

Hey Guys – TODAY IS THE DAY! Reaper Untamed (Deadside Reapers Book Three) FINALLY joins the nook as the next installment in the Deadside Reaper series by Debbie Cassidy. I hear little cherubs singing over this answered prayer!

Guys, I feel for Fee. I really do! Just when she is nearly settled into who she is, she gets another curve ball thrown at her. I am known for my spoiler free reviews, but gosh darn it that ending of the last book left us all biting our nails raw. Reaper Untamed picks up right where the last left off leaving no questions about how Fee is going to get herself out of this next situation with the loups and the law.

Fee proves yet again she isn’t a person/reaper/supe to be MESSED with in Reaper Untamed. Some of the challenges she was in were back-up-against-the-wall and no-way-out-but-through. But you know what…Fee rolls up her sleeves and charges each fight head on! Debbie has done an amazing job of putting Fee’s character together through each and every plot twist.

We get a little break from the reapers in favor of the loup side of the supernatural world Debbie has created and somehow, she really makes it work. I was expecting a harsh divide between the two supernatural groups Fee was straddling but they are woven together so well that it makes the Deadside Reaper world believable. It isn’t just all about humans running around and getting collected by the Reapers...It is a world where all kinds of supernatural creatures are vying for dominance. And we get a front row seat to all of this through Fee and some new emotionally unavailable players entering the scene (I’m looking at you Hunter!).

Listen, you know I can’t end this review before talking about my favorite man I love to hate… the one and only Azazel. We keep it (mostly) PG and spoiler free in the nook, but needless to say Debbie did NOT disappoint on the Azazel LOVE in Reaper Untamed. That bed was on fire, that’s all I’m saying.

description

Don’t know what I mean? Well, you better get out there and grab your copy of Reaper Untamed so we can talk about it! *Satisfied Sigh* But until then… here is the skinny!

Artistic Appeal – This cover is on fire, ladies and gentlemen! Debbie don’t let your cover artist go…they’ve got a gift!

Character Development – Debbie has proven herself to be the master juggler with these unavailable men and her secondary characters. I am still learning more about Fee’s love interests even in Reaper Untamed! We get a preview of some swoon worthy maybe/maybe-not additions to Fee’s harem, but Debbie just keeps on reeling the readers in with her subtle character crafting.

The Ride – If this book were a ride it would the Gatekeeper – why you ask? Well, just when the readers were all settled into Fee’s character, Debbie turns the storyline sideways and proves that she has even more tricks up her sleeve. Don’t bother getting comfortable, Debbie Cassidy is in her element y’all! And we (me included) just can’t get enough of it!

Happy Reading!!

This book bordered on the three and four star ranking for me, so I bumped it up to a four star because I still want to continue the series and don’t feel indifferent enough to stop.

Angsty feelings galore! Fee has been sent to prison for killing Lucas, her childhood best friend and crush. Now that her Loup side has appeared, she’s going to have to present herself to their community and face the hungry and waiting Loups. Fee doesn’t want her freedom to be taken away nor to be used as a breeding machine. Her reapers and Cora are scrambling to find a way to help Fee, and Grayson is the only stopgap during the trial unless she wanted to be marked as open territory. With her growing feels for Grayson, Fee is caught between what feels right and her responsibility as a Divinus reaper.

There was soooo much angst in this book. There were no actual relationships being formed and the plot twist with Hunter just put a wrench in Fee’s tentative fate with Grayson. Although, I feel like there is more to Hunter than meets the eye. Like Cora said, he wouldn’t have been selected as the alpha to be if he weren’t kind of a good guy? Idk, I’m intrigued by his “broken” character and want to know more. Didn’t see Uri in this book, so I wonder if he is even gonna be part of the harem? Guess not lol. Fee is just collecting so many dudes.

The whole thing with Azazel had me cringing and dying and screaming. My god. I know it’s a complicated situation but jeeeeezzzz, I need to have some serious resolution here. And that’s from someone like ME, who LOVES a slow burn. Maybe it’s because she has five-six potential lovers and NONE of them have been confirmed/built a relationship yet.

The plot development for the series is a slow build, but there is always a flow to the stories. We find out more about the hooded cult and what they are, we find family members, and we see more about the outlier world.

Random thought, but I am happy the other decided to make the women who are involved with the males not complete bullying bitches, they are actual people and form friendships with one another. Honestly, not here for Conan or really Grayson at this point cause they’re sus.

Will keep reading. If someone doesn’t get with Fee in the next fucking book, I’m gonna lose my shit. So, guess I’ll find out soon.

The way this book made me want to scream one minute, cry the next, and just completely rage tf out all at once is truly something. This author definitely knows how to pull out my emotions and keep me guessing.

It’s soo good. I literally couldn’t put it down the whole time. I was not ready for this at all, I said I was but it was a definite lie. 😂 (SPOILERS) I mean Fee finding her Bio dad, to the Hunter, her being an alpha, shit with the pack and Grayson, the mouth & dread, Mal & Conah and their developing feelings but never acting and the secrets they continue to keep. And Azazel I mean WTAF man you’re breaking my heart here. They’re soulmates and she loves him just accept it 😭 I can’t do this anymore. I can’t even tell who I want her to end up with, hell I’m not even sure who I need to hate or love either. That’s how good this is. Hunter is confusing but he did protect her even tho he is an ass and she saved him wolf and all. Conan and Fee have had chemistry from the start even tho he’s betrothed to another. Mal has been on her from the start cocky and all but so hidden and has so much depth. Azazel is literally her soulmate and they both want one another so much but won’t give in. I literally don’t know what’s going to happen. They each bring out sides of her I enjoy reading and they all better her in certain ways.

I’m just my mind is blown. And the revelation that happened with Cora. I mean with the foreshadowing I knew she had to be different but the how was for sure unexpected. I love her as a friend and it’s so refreshing to have female characters who ain’t just straight bitches. I mean they have their catty moments but there’s a lot of friendship here and I love that.

All in all it’s been a hell of a ride with this third book. I can’t wait to read more and after that cliffhanger I need to get started as soon as I wake up. The sleep deprivation is real. 😂 So ending my note to the author you know how to tell a story and the visceral reactions I have wheeewww. And to another reader this shit is fantastic. Read it and prepare to get wrapped up in Fee and all the wonders of this world.
