update4:- Season2 is here !Just coming from watching S2 ep1 and my heart is fluttering! It was just tooo much cuteness for me to handle! Like all those cheesy dialogues and sarawat tine and man type being domestic boyfriend, I can't with them!!!

Last Friday EP11 of the series was released and I watched it. I should be happy but no I was sad cause only 2 EP are left in the series. I can never get enough of them.

I have re watched the entire series several times, watched FVM/OPV everything but I wanted more content to quench my desire and so last night I stayed up till 3 am to read the book {it took me 2 hours to find it}. I should have slept after that but I couldn’t I curled up in my blanket and decided I didn’t want to face the world again.

Dont expect the book to be exceptional I just enjoyed it because I loved the series and those characters!

The super cute, cheesy ,mushy and fluffy romance with a hint of jealousy filled with lot of drama this book is perfect for me!

And I love love love sarawat so much and the cutest bl character tine, no wonder sarawat fell for him!

And here read this,

I can't remember how hard I tried to find him. I had been to every Scrubb concert, in hope I would meet him again. It seemed like there was no more hope left until I entered university in Chiang Mai. I started my new life without expecting anything.

It’s just that I to like Tine’s character so much just cos he’s cute, sarcastic, funny and obsessed with a band. *not a below 16 years old friendly book 🌝 *The book cover features both the actors. *I haven’t read the Kindle e-book yet so I don’t know if it’s better than the one I read before.

I just love Sarawat's character so much!!! I don't think anyone can flirt this much and still appear hot and cute at the same time. Too much of a fictional character coming to life eh?

And Tine. How long is he going to take to realise the most important thing in his life without making Sarawat too jealous eh?

Maybe one more episode? (The frustration though!)


But I love them together!

The series has left out so many important scenes and dialogues. The book is told from the perspective of Tine as is in the series. But still (ugh!) so many good things are being missed out deliberately (I guess!) to make the series more onscreen adaptable 🙄


Damn, the plot is just too cute but sometimes I just want to whack Tine for just being so like blind to Sarawat's feelings ☺️


***And we are missing out a lot of things in the actual TV series. Too many cute stuffs are happening in the book. I am so blessed to be able to read this book. 😇

If you are a fan of Asian drama and have not heard of this TV series yet, you have to be living under a rock. If you regularly watch Thai dramas and have not heard of the koojin name BrightWin, I will not consider you a Thai drama fan at all.

This is the first of its genre that I have tried and I cannot say I am disappointed. The translation was heavily unedited and did pose some serious issues in understanding but having the background of watching the drama before reading the novel, I had a certain advantage.
For the avid reader, this may seem rather a cliche story with a a writing style to that of a teen author but as as an ardent shipper of the BrightWin couple, I personally thoroughly enjoyed it.

I shall provide a warning for those who are going to read this, this is purely for those who love the series and who don't mind new adult books of the BL genre not the readers who are into the literal sense of enjoyment. Meanwhile for those who do read this and enjoy it, please make sure to watch the TV adaptation, you will not be disappointed. Actually even if you do not enjoy the book, give the TV series a chance. It's worth it!

Second time after watching the show multiple times, I can say I enjoyed the book slightly more. Yes it stayed true to the plot for the majority of it but there were few deviants too. I have to appreciate the role of the White Lion Gang more. Mike and GunSmile did an amazing job portraying Boss and Man. Unfortunately the rest of the gang don’t make an appearance in the show. Now looking back even JJ and Khaotung were perfect in their roles as the Handsome Lads.
I also see the initial dislike of the fans on the casting of Win as Tine. He wouldn’t have been mine ideal Tine either. But then again thinking back I wouldn’t think anyone else would have such an amazing chemistry with Bright either. I think misconception comes from the novel cover where Tine is portrayed as much smaller than it is described in the book. Kudos for the TV show for continuing the hilarious interactions of the characters and successfully adapting it to the screen.
I am just going to believe that the last 2 episode and the legendary high-five did not occur as the rest of fandom did. Now off to read the second book.

Luego de ver la serie en Youtube, me quede con muchas ganas de conocer mas sobre la historia de Sarawat and Tine y decidí leer este libro, que por cierto es uno de los primeros libros tailandeses que leo y me encanto!!! Pude confirmar que los libros siempre son mucho mejor que las adaptaciones de televisión. Osea es que Sarawat y Tine son demasiado adorables y tiernos.. me enamoraron, me volvieron adicta y quede con mucha ganas de mas definitivamente son una de mis parejas favoritas de mundo BL.

I technically read a translation of this novel so I can't exactly tell whether the wordings are exact or precise. But in general I found this to be a cute set up novel that introduces readers to the main characters. Sometimes Tine (protagonist) comes off as obnoxious and over-confident but he's still more likeable then his partner who's just kinda written to be weirdly weird. Like Sarawat encompasses way too many characteristics to be realistic: he's smart, rich, good at playing guitar, secretly a pervert whenever he's with Sarawat, remains cold to all the girls, isn't on social media and also makes a lot of typos. oh boi as much as I'd love for him to be real but it isn't really realistic nor are his dialogues (but i guess it's not meant to be realistic but merely caters to fangirls who read this genre of novel so i'm not one to judge since i enjoy it too). I do appreciate the comical situations that characters get in and it is exactly those situations that make up for the unbelievable dialogues. Currently reading the second book and watching the series adaptation of this novel and the actors are just incredibly adorable. 3/5 for me but I'd still recommend if you're a fan of the BL genre (Jittirain's Theory of Love was better tho) One small complaint is that the author wasted so much potential with Tine being a Law student, Sarawat being a Politics/IR major and Green studying Social Sciences. Could they not have more flirtatious conversations regarding those subjects. I know the author characterized these ppl to be students who don't really like their majors but honestly it's such a missed opportunity. I mean I've probably seen a thousand variations to the "i'm teaching you how to play the guitar thing and our hands touched" or "you get hurt in a football game and so i'mma run out to you". dude soccer ⚽️ and guitar 🎸 is so overused in these novels. so yeah that's actually the only problem i have with this novel: MISSED OPPORTUNITY for REPRESENTATION!!!!!

I've been struggling with insomnia for days now and to keep me entertained when it happens, I decided to watch 2gether to see what the hype was about and because months ago I've seen an interview of the two main actors and really liked what they had to say about attraction and normalizing LGBTQ+ characters in media. I liked the series (except the last 3 episodes) and thought I could also read the book to see how the adaptation differed.

Well, first of all I have to say I bought the wrong translation first and then this one and even though it was better there were still a lot of grammatical errors, typos and sentences with a strange phrasing. I didn't stop the pacing of the book but sometimes it was weird.

As for the actual story, I wasn't the best but I was expecting it. I don't know how much the translation played a role in this but while at first I could forgive a few things, toward the end it was too much (the use of "wife" for example was...a lot). Also, I felt like the characters didn't change much and I don't know if Tine was supposed to struggle with internalized lgbtqphobia or if the writing just happened to be like this, because sometimes I felt like it was the point and he had to educate himself and understand why he felt like this around Sarawat and sometimes I was just lost. Ah and I didn't like the chemistry toward the end, and the absence of consent most of the time, it felt almost violent.

I also didn't like how Green was treated as a character and how stereotypical the gay rep was, it wasn't great at all. I forgot most of them but some of the things Tine thinks about him are problematic and violents.

Another thing that bothered me was the fetishism but I did expect it considering it's part of the plot in the series but I hoped it would be addressed instead of being pushed aside. But again I'm not surprised considering it's a BL and it doesn't seem to be for queer people even if I personally could relate to a few things.

I did like a few things though (the three stars are for my enjoyment btw)
- everyone is supportive of their relationship
- how music plays a big part in who they are
- the discussion on studying something that you have to understand and appreciate instead of doing something you love in fear that you will hate it
- the friendships
- the humour (most of the time)
- I felt seen every time they talked about making typos

I think, I liked better how the actors interpreted the characters and added depth to their story, and the friendships were better/they supported each other more

Pada awalnya aku gak ada niatan untuk membaca buku M/M thailand ini. Tapi berhubung aku penggemar F4 dan mengetahui klo F4 thailand akan segera tayang langsung mencari tahu siapa saja aktor-aktor yang menjadi F4. Ternyata salah satu temanku merekomendasikan untuk menonton film 2gether dan still 2gether series yang diperankan oleh Bright dan Win yang bisa aku tonton di netflix dan Youtube. Dan aku maraton dong nonton filmnya 13 episode + 5 episode setelah kelar akhirnya jadi penasaran sama novelnya. Akhirnya aku gak tahan beli novelnya di google playstore.

Ternyata kalau membaca versi novelnya ada perbedaan adegan sama filmya. Kalau di novel entah kenapa kerasa loh sarawat posesif ke Tine udah gitu buku ini masih bersambung di buku keduanya yaitu 2gether vol. 2 kalau di buku satu ini mungkin kayak kita menonton sampai episode 09 di 2gether jadi mau gak mau harus membaca buku keduanya nih buat kayak nonton seriesnya tamat sampai di episode 13.

Aku penasaran mau baca ah buku keduanya apakah 'sebersih' film seriesnya yang ratingnya 13+ atau ternyata banyak adegan kipas-kipasnya? hahahha

I have watched the series and I enjoyed it A LOT. I remember that I binge-watched the entire series because I was too curious. The main plot of the series is the same as this book, with some parts (I have one favorite) that are not adapted into screen. The story is a little bit repetitive at some points but heeeyy I'm here for all the fluff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). This book made me complete. Perfect for fans of the series!

Hype series ini sableng banget ya, sampe-sampe keponakan tanya gue bukunya diterjemahin atau gak. Sampai gue pun penasaran nonton series-nya.

Kalo di series-nya merupakan BL yang "aman", di sini... ya aman juga. Nggak aman di buku keduanya. :))

Sebenernya gue baca ini pun adegannya kebantu sama series yang udah gue tonton. Kalo dari cerita mah B banget. Tipe tulisan penulis W****** yang iseng-iseng nulis dengan 80% dialog. Atau singkatnya kayak "Me vs Highheels" gitu deh novelnya.

Dan Tine ini ya, gak bosen bilang "hatiQ"? :))

TW / MENTIONS OF SA/RAPE/DUB CONSENT
i give this book a higher 2 stars. it was a hard rating to give considering how much I loved the tv show by the same name. I this some of the problems started with the grammar issues and the wording been off- although that isn't the books fault as its all translated, and I understand that it cant be perfectly switched to English.
ill start off with a few positives, and that been i really liked the character tine, I feel like he was a well rounded person, and we saw his strengths and weaknesses as a character- how he was particularly kind to people and often thought about other peoples wellbeing's and being the 'mum' of the group, and then in his weaknesses he thought very low of himself and often times didn't see how great he was- leading him often or not being very jealous.
some of my more negative reviews start with the character Sarwat- who happened to be one of my favourite characters in the show. I felt disappointed in his character in a way. specially in the first intimate scenes you get with tine and sarawat, in the scene it showed tine saying no repeatably and it been brushed off multiple time, at the end of the scene it wasn't mentioned as SA but in fact them just 'making love' - not being taken as seriously as it should. this kind of stuff happened a lot through the book, sarawat being on the more physically affectionate side and tine not really giving verbal consent to that (although I maybe looking into that too much?)
because of these scenes it just made the book a little awkward and uncomfortable to read after that. it gave me the feel that this wasn't just a romance story - this is what brought the rating so low.
the book had some nice cute scenes sprinkled in - that i did enjoy but because of the previous things mentioned i feel like i couldn't really give the book any higher then 2 stars. I defiantly recommend the show- which is on YouTube. although wouldn't really recommend the book.

i watched the series. it was very lovely and cute so i decided to read the novel as well and - oh my god - words cannot express how bad it is. the writing is incredibly bad and it hurts to read it. it is so cheap and reads itself as a fanfiction written by a 13 year old who has no idea what they’re actually writing about.
red flags everywhere. sarawat was in the series a cute person that does not really know how to express his feelings in a comfortable way. in the novel, sarawat is toxic as hell. he threatens tine, and even tho tine does pick it up later and handles it, it does not change the fact that tine was literally afraid of him from time to time. also sarawat mentioning that he wants to hurt tine until he is satisfied? that is not romantic, that is terrifying and absolutely not okay. it would’ve been fine if sarawats behavior was portrayed as problematic and the novel is about that problematic side of his but it isn’t. it’s being romanticized.
not to forget that sarawat keeps overstepping boundaries when he is kissing tine who does not want it (at least for the first one but he does not care about how tine feels with this anyways) up to rape when they’re having non-consentual sex. drug abuse, manipulation is a topic as well, which is portrayed as non problematic.
also the story line is so slow, i got bored because nothing at all is happening. there is no interesting plot to follow, changes are coming incredibly slow.
this was no fun to read. worst read so far.

Good, if you watched the show you will know they made it more PG13 in comparison to the book. The book is good but I can’t give it 5 stars because there are bits of the book that I just can’t get behind(I chalk it up to translation). Overall good experience especially if you’ve watched the show :)

2gether... entre los pocos libros que eh dejado sin terminar este sin duda ha sido el unico que me ha dolido ¿la razón? Simple, el libro en su mayoria son dialogos llegue a la mitad y no senti que los personajes avanzaran un poco, una manita aqui otra manita alla y sonrojo, no se describen como ellos se siente, el ambiente es nulo, no hay desarrollo de nada pero el mayor motivo por el que lo dejo antes de agarrarle rencor NO ME ACUERDO DE NADA, literal lei la mitad y es un libro nada memorable con cositas bonitas pero que se te olvidan en 2 dias, no hay motivo de terminarlo si no lo recordaras en un futuro.

Let me be clear. I have rated it so highly because of the TV show 2gether and still 2gether. I absolutely fell in love with Tine and Sarawat and the actors who played them - Win and Bright.
But the book is not half as cute and adorable. The characters were less likeable. There were crude rape jokes which I did not dig. The first time sex between these two was rape. Again not cute or funny. Or sexy.

I will happily rewatch the series . The book not so much.

Great read

I watched the show first and was hooked the book is as great as the show. The translation is very well done and the kindle version has footnotes explaining some things that are confusing if you don't speak Thai. Can't wait to read volume 2!

Una historia hermosa que representa la Serendipia en su totalidad.
Cuando menos lo esperas, volteas y hay alguien a tu lado, acompañándote y siendo tu soporte, así como tú el suyo. Y te das cuenta en ese momento, no es necesario nada más, pues ambos están bien con su relación y sentimientos.

Me ha encantado la historia como ninguna otra.
Los personajes son todos graciosos y entrañables (sobre todo Ohm y Man).

Le cuestiono algunas cosas a los pensamientos de Wat, pero es uno de mis personajes favoritos (sino es número uno), por lo que su actitud, tal y como es, me encanta.

เป็นนิยายโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้ เต็มไปด้วยฉากหวาน ๆ ยูโทเปีย อ่านแล้วต้องกรีดร้องให้กับความรักอันมโหฬาร (อะไรจะขนาดนั้น) ของสารวัตร เป็นพระเอกในอุดมคติของสาวๆ เป็นเรื่องความยาวกว่าแปดร้อยหน้าที่อ่านไปได้เพลินๆ หลงรักในตัวละครทั้งคู่ และอาจจะกลายเป็นติ่งของสครับบ์ได้เพียงข้ามคืน พร้อมๆ กับเผลอไปลงเรียนกีตาร์แบบไม่ทันตั้งตัวก็ได้

ขอหัก 1 ดาว เพราะเป็นนิยาวแปดร้อยหน้าที่แทบไม่มีเส้นเรื่องเลย มันไหลเอื่อยๆ ตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบ อาจจะเป็น slice of life แต่เรารู้สึกว่ามันไม่สุด มันขยี้ในบางฉากได้อีก และมันน่าจะลึกได้กว่านี้อีกเยอะเลย แต่รวมๆ ก็เป็นนิยายที่อ่านเพลินมากๆ สำหรับสายฟิลกู้ด เรื่องนี้ดีมากๆ
