By day I am an iPhone developer architecting the app used to scope Stephen Colbert’s ear. By night I am Batman. Ok maybe not. One can dream though, right?

I’ve been writing since I was six years old and started inflicting my work on others at age 18. By age 24 people stopped running away when I approached them with a new story and shortly thereafter I published my first one in the Rifter.

Wait you’re still reading?

Ok, the facts I’m supposed to list in a bio. As of this writing I’m 38 years old and live just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in the beautiful town of Mill Valley. If you’re unsure how to find it just follow the smell of self-entitlement. Once you see the teens driving Teslas you’ll know you’re in the right place.

I live in a tiny studio that I can cross in (literally) five steps and don’t own an oven. But you know what? It’s worth it. I love developing iPhone apps and if you want to work in San Francisco you accept that rent for a tiny place costs more than most people’s mortgage.

If you and about 2 million other people start buying my books I promise to move out of Marin to a house in the redwoods up in Guerneville. No pressure. Wait that’s a lie. Pressure.

You'd think that combining werewolves, Egyptian deities, vampires, zombies, demons, aliens, and dinosaurs in a single story wouldn't work, but somehow Chris Fox makes it work. Full of action, suspense, a bit of romance, a few comedic moments and I love the camaraderie of the characters. We get to see more of the builders (aliens) in this book than any other. Wow! I'm loving this series. So ready for the finale.

Yippie-ki-yo-ki-yay Mutha (shut yo mouth)!!!!

OMG... where to begin? You like mythologies? You like fight scenes with blood and claws and fricken laser beams? Do you like the idea of Ancient Aliens even if it just reminds you of the crazy haired guy on the “History” Channel? I refuse to watch the show but I get the jist.
When I first read “No Such thing as Werewolves” all those years ago, it rekindled my joy of reading. I started following all the fiction this author put out. I never had the pleasure to play D&D with friends, I was too busy being a badass at sports being a small guy with a sharp mind playing Offensive Lineman against guys twice my size or more. Being clever paid off in those cases.
The mytho’s of the Deathless Series is absolutely stunning. The amount of time and effort Mr. Fox has put in to his craft has paid off time and time again.
My suggestion to other readers would be to read his other series “Tech Mage” about beings and elder gods and magic. All while also keeping up with Deathless... and jeez, I guess you have to throw Project Solaris series in as well. Although.... nah, no spoilers. I just feel like P.S. will play even more of a part in the next and (omg did he say FINAL?) Deathless book after this one?!?
Chris Fox has created a universe akin to... idk, something really really cool! Lol, I apologize for the lackluster description of his universe but the books in each series are just so fun to read. I say it’s good to read the Tech Mage books because now, we know they’re in the same universe as the Deathless. This isn’t a spoiler since the author tells us this in the first page. Probably mentioned it in the lead up and when you think about it, why not? Many species could’ve evolved and went space faring and then all traces of their civilization washed away by the enormous gulf of time, which eats all.
One thing I am not spoiling but also very curious about, is what Tech Mage readers will recognize as “The Umbral Depths”. Something that may or may not play a part in this book that aren’t fully understood ;) They haven’t been fully understood in any of the other books I’ve been aware of. Only that Lovecraftian elder god types dwell there and hate the light *dun dun dunnnnn!*
Anyways my review of this book in the series gets 5 stars. 5 stars for tying A LOT of what has transpired together. I did wish for more giant Golden Retrievers but hey, there are other mouths to feed and he isn’t just forgotten or written off completely. One part that was a little boring but I felt totally necessary was the politics involved between species that are always at war with each other, not knowing they have a common enemy.... and OMG did you see the cover of this book? There are dinosaurs in this book! The child side of me (approx 90% of me) wanted the book to be 85% Dino’s.... It’s not but they and the... builder, creature, person... is very nice touch. Although maybe making her a Raptor Princess was too much to hope for. Actual raptors being little bit bigger than chickens- it may have also not worked as well.
I love how the characters are developing. Jes’Ka is just about everything I hoped she would be. I also really really REALLY enjoyed Jordan’s journey. Jordan sort of had been treated like crap for awhile in my opinion. He gets a very nice final touch. I’m very appreciative of our author and his series’. As I said, I never played D&D but the universe or “dungeon” he is the master of is woven and crafted together magnificently. I hope you all pick up the other series of books this author has banged out as well. They are so much fun and escape is something we can all really use while we are locked away from the Corona virus. Wow I really hope there aren’t any Coronal Mass Ejections any time soon!!!!! Anyways, hope you all enjoy the show, have a merry Deathless day and read em all.. okay, snuff fluffing from me. Please, read the books, support authors like Chris Fox and others who write SciFy and kick back and enjoy the show!
Also, try arranging some rocks into a spiral and meditating to try and send your consciousness flying a la Doc Strange/ Ahiga... who knows where you may end up ;)

Arklords, gods and goddesses battle for control of Earth as they learn to control their powers

Newly awakened from millennia of sleep in their rejuvenation chambers, elder gods help Liz and Blair prepare their bodies to fight the Builders when they return to reclaim the planet. First they must walk the past to save Isis before she was killed. Daughter of Isis, Jes'Ka is training Liz in shaping and being a Shadowwalker.

Until recently Trevor’s appearance had been absolutely horrific. He’d been deathless, the radioactive zombie as from your worst nightmares. Now his heart beat and he drew breath like any normal human, though Blair understood in a way only an Ark Lord could just how much more Trevor really was.

Jordan is in Australia to find the Arklord of Australia's Ark and ensure his people a place to live after their Ark was destroyed. Uluru aided in preparing for Jordan's people, as did the strange aboriginal he called Friz because of his hair. Uluru explained that Friz was one of the first humanoids and hadn't yet discovered language beyond grunts and gestures. Uluru also gave Jordan a new war form to match her own TRex form. Jordan was given the war form of an ankylosaur - thick hide, bony plates rose from his head and shoulders as his tail grew long and powerful, ending with a spiked ball. He likes it! As an added bonus - he is immune to shaping! But his own shaping is limited to himself and cannot be applied beyond his skin. No problem!

Their enemies are also preparing for the coming battle. Yoggoth and Hades create armies of demons and deathless to overwhelm their opponents. This coming battle will be epic! The forces are marshaling to prepare.

The armies are preparing for a battle like never before seen. The Arklords, Champions and warriors are poised. The Arks are powering. The storyline is set. The future of the Earth is unsure, depending on the outcome of the Arks vs. Builders.

And so the saga continues. An old race of people in stasis for millions of years to escape the big freeze want to come home......

...... but they need to find a way for humanity to survive. Werewolves and Zombies need to unite to defeat aliens, that created the pyramids and tech they are using, coming back to reclaim the solar system for their own needs. A war, spanning space and time, with weird and wonderful creatures being shaped to fight battles that seem to have no purpose but to wipe out all living things. If you are into war games and can envisage men in suits and ancient Egyptians joining forces to defeat treacherous back stabbing "friends" and neighbours, and a little magic, technology and dinosaurs thrown in, then this book is for you. Loads of action, and the characters are actually believable. Sit back and enjoy the ride, and if you haven't read the previous books, get them first.

Great fantasy serie

If you have come as long as to read this fifth novel of the deatless serie you need no information or introduction to the story, it is great entertainment and a product of a vivid mind and fantasy by the author, these are strong novels with good caracter description and you get to know and love your heros well as it builds up to the final battle against the "builders". The first in the serie was the one i liked best as it took me by great surprice, didnt expect it to be so good but the whole installament is of high quality and well worth killing time over for anyone into this genre of entertainment. We have enough reality in real world with the covid 19 pandemic and it is a bliss to dive into these books discontecting you from the harsh reality, i give it a strong 4 star and look forward to the next and final chapter, highly recommended

Top notch sci fi.

Trevor is human again.

Akenat is loose in the present, while Percy is whisked to the distant past.

Deathless and Champion, courtesy of Blair, work together to find a way to fight the gray men, and later the builders.

Jordan goes on a quest, and everything changes.

Liz, Trevor, Jes'ka and Lucas time travel to stop Set and return Isis to the present. But everything has a price.

Mark returns.

Darkness descends.

This one has it all! The author did not disappoint.

This time our heroes try time travel in an attempt to bring back Osirus and Isis to help them fight off the builders. But they aren't the only ones messing with the time stream. The builders, involved in their own internal politics, are also shaping events to be more to their liking. All of this is setting up the major confrontation in the next book, but before we get there, Ark lords have to fight it out with each other. There's a lot going on in this one, but once again Fox brings it all together for a satisfying final battle.

Excellent continuation of the series

Time keeps passing faster. Ancient enemies return. Ancient gods arrive and offer help to the humans, champions and deathless. Ancient technology is used, returning favorite characters to the plot. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

I Can't Wait

I finished the quadrilogy this morning and now book five, "The Ark War". This author really has created something new. The series isn't full of 'funny " joked or bad sex. It's good clean science fiction and I swear too!

Nice Touch Chris...very subtle.

As always, this book had action and multiple problems. The action was nice as always and the writer connected another awesome series in this story! Can't wait until the next one!

Kinda glad to be nearing the end of this series. It's getting to be a bit much. Author keeps adding more and more elements - I mean there's a dinosaur on the cover...

It was fun, but it's just a bit much.

Same great narration and still really loving the funny "previously on Deathless" recaps.

The different factions are tied together to fight a common enemy!

Appreciated a closer look at the different factions/ beings and their leaders. Still some questions as to all their compliance in the future. I really like the Builder in Australia! Mother Earth is represented! Only negative? I thought this was the final book! Now I have to wait for #6 in the series! Auwe! But definitely, if these past 5 books are anything to go by, will be worth the wait!💖🐱🐾

fun book read

Really enjoyed the 5th book. They really need to ask more questions and love when they slow down and get help in a world where myth has become reality.
