Do you know who Anne Frank is? You don't? You might need to come out the cave now...

If you know who she is, you probably had already read The Diary of a Young Girl. It's written by her and readers see from her point of view.

"Anne Frank: Hidden Hope" in the other hand was composed so that readers will be able to get to know Anne and her family before she was even born to the day she died. This book also mentions the legacy she left through the diary with the help from her father & friends. I thoroughly enjoyed learning of Anne's more than what I've read in The Diary of a Young Girl. Like how she had a penpal in America one time before the war and during the hiding, there is a chestnut tree that give her hope. There is also pictures almost on all pages accompanying the written text, which make it even interesting, for example, there is a drawing of the annex and how it was hidden. The writing is very accessible, especially for younger readers.

This is a relatively good short biography of Anne Frank. It is designed for children and schools, so it offers a glossary and fact boxes. While it doesn’t hide the truth, it is not as graphically illustrated as it would be in an adult biography.

Mullin gets full marks for doing much to present a further picture of Edith Frank and Pfeiffer than what Anne presents in the diary. Too often Edith give way to Otto, and Mullin does much to correct this. It is well worth a read by anyone who has read the diary. The focus is on the Franks so no real mention is made about the adaptations of the Diary. Further information is given, however, about Anne’s friends. It, in many ways, answers questions that someone would have after reading the Diary.

This book gave interesting background information, along with some great photos, of the atmosphere and people that made up Anne Frank's short life. It especially focused on the last 3 years of her life. Great resource book for those that have read the Diary of a Young Girl (Anne Frank's Diary). I felt it explained a lot that her diary did not cover. A sad but enthralling story.

Although it has been many years since my trip to Europe, i will never forget visiting the infamous annex the Frank family took refuge in, or visiting the Dachau concentration camp in Germany. A very horrific time in history.

I am still not done reading this book I am almost done, I am on page 78, close to ending.
The strategies I used while reading the book was asking question, I wonder why Anne Frank liked stories or
why it was his families tradition of story telling. I also used visualizing which help me with my spark homework
I visualized something different like what if they went out of there and moved in a much safer place like their relatives, and I visualized
why and how Anne Frank felt during that time.

Anne Frank, a young woman, how she liked to be called, during World War II, wanted to survive the war. However, when the Nazis took over the Netherlands, they had to go into hiding. So they did and stayed hidden for two years straight. Then, one day, about two months before the war ended, they were found by Nazi soldiers and taken away to concentration camps. Her and her family were seperated and eventually died. Except her father, who was the only one from the Franks family to survive. Anne Frank Hidden Hope is all about Positivity, courage and hope.

I thought this book was very informational about the life of Anne Frank. I have heard her story before through parts of her journal, but this gave me the whole background of her life and the family and friendships she made. It is such a tragic and sad story to hear about, but I think it’s a great story to learn from. I think that this would be a good book for students to read if they are interested in world war 2, or if they are doing some kind of report on the Holocaust.

As a little girl I always loved reading about Anne Frank, this hasn't changed. It's so interesting to read about her life and the challenges she faced. What I particularly liked about this biography is the fact that it gave an in depth account of Anne's life pre-hiding. It was interesting to see her in that light because most simply associate her with the death camps.
I really enjoyed this book and am likely to recommend it again.

I thought this book was so good. It gave lots of insight into Anne’s life, but also her family’s and friends’ lives. I learned a lot that I had never heard before, such as information on her fathers business and even Anne’s love life. It gave an overview of almost every aspect of life, which I liked. I think this would be a great biography for students to read and get an introduction to Anne and her family’s life.

I loved this book! It was extremely interesting, because it was a biographical documentation of Anne Frank's life. I've read her diary, but since she was hidden and didn't know what was really happening, it was really interesting to find out how events in the world affected her life. Anne Frank has always been such an inspiration to me, and she is my role model. That, and my interest in World War II, lead me to read this book and I loved seeing pictures and timelines of her life. It was very historical and included several dates and facts, but it was never dry, and I couldn't put it down. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history or biographies in general.

Very well-written middle grades biography about Anne Frank. I've already read several books about her, but this book gave me information I had not seen. I also enjoyed the pictures in this one. Recommended.

In this quarter I read Anne Frank; Hidden Hopes. This is a book about Anne Frank, so a bibliography, and what her life was like before and during the second world war. I thought this was a very good book. It highlighted many details about how Frank and her family lived before the war, how they went into to hiding, detailed accounts of hiding, and being taken to concentration camps. I would rate this book a 4 / 5, as I would have liked more details about numbers of people. Overall, this bibliography was well written, and significantly impacted me, showing me how Anne Frank had to live in her last years on Earth.

I would recommend this bibliography to any history teacher, or to a fellow peer who is interested in World War II or Anne Frank. The reason for this is because it is a fairly easy read, and has multiple details about what they went through, and how they experienced hiding in the secret annex. It would create more sympathy for Frank, her family, and all others who were victims of this war. I feel like it would impact the people I recommended this to as much as it did me. So yes, I would recommend this book to many people.
