Following a pandemic, survivors are left behind and encouraged by a disembodied voice command to link up communications between various laboratories that were once linked for research purposes. The story follows You. You meet creatures that seem to be partially human, but not quite. You survives the trip to a satellite laboratory and works to re-establish communications between the labs. Then You goes back to the lab he started out from to do the last bit of setup. That's when the twist comes into play. Surprise!

This story is the tale of a lone human survivor who leaves a lab to seek human survivors after a contaminated virus wipes out humanity. There are some mutated survivors, the Other, also known as Waukina.

Once outside the lab, he is at the mercy of altered plant and animal life. Both want his demise. Read to find out if he is successful in locating other human survivors and saving humanity.

Can this be in our future? This is a short story of a human trying to find other humans following a pandemic. There is a twist at the end and maybe more to come?

This was a very good book. I could see the action take place in my mind. I will definitely recommend this book to my friends.
