Wow, great story! Great characters but the plot was explosive. I was surprised and saddened by all the twist and turns. This story will definitely keep you on your toes. I laughed at Marcella when she came out of her shell because she really became a fun character. So much to love about this story!

This is an OK western romance, with mostly likable characters, but I did have a few issues with it. It gets 2.5 stars from me, rounded up to 3 stars.
First, it was just too short to have enough character development. I wanted more backstory on both Marcella and Wesley.
It really bothered me that Wesley kidnapped Marcella, and all she could think about was how handsome he was. That is ridiculous! She would have been terrified, and it would not have crossed her mind to admire his looks or his muscles. I get that he didn't treat her too badly, and she soon figured out that he wasn't going to hurt her -- but she didn't know that when she first felt attracted to him.
I also didn't like the plot development with Marcella's sister. I won't give spoilers, but there was very little explanation for her behavior, and certainly none that really made sense.
This is a clean romance, with nothing but kisses. If you only want to read romances that do not include sex scenes, this one might work for you.
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

When I pick up a Marie Higgins book I know I am in for a special treat and this one did not disappoint! Marcella has made arrangements to become a mail order bride to a rancher. She will take her orphaned two year old cousin with her. Her brother-in-law wants her out now or he will arrange a marriage for her. She is mistaken for her sister and kidnapped but soon finds her inner strength to work with the kidnapper who is trying to find out who killed her intended! A real page turner that keeps you on the edge of your seat as the story twists and turns! I loved the surprise ending! Highly recommend this wonderful story!

Great Series......
I've enjoyed reading this story of the adventures of two sisters who were left to care for them selves after the death of their family. The older sister was the one who took over their care. Now that she had married, would she continue to do so? The author has put together a wonderful plan .

A great story
Wesley/Grey- rancher trying to find proof of who killed his brother and father.
Marcella- younger sister, likes to write and is shy.
I enjoyed reading this engaging story that is well written with charismatic characters and intriguing plot. Their story has a sweet HEA. Loved the proposal but would of liked to see them after being married for a few yrs.

Mail Order Marcella
Interesting story. Marcella was a very timid lady. She enjoyed writing stories with boldness but in real life, she had difficulty talking with men. Her sister had recently married and her husband Martin wanted to get rid of Marcella and Lottie, a cousin, whose parents had died. Well this story really gets complicated. You will enjoy this story.

This was a sweet romance with a endearing heroine, a perfectly likable hero, several twists and turns that kept me guessing, although some of it stretched the believablility factor for me. Worth reading just for the whodunit ending.

Sweet End to Heart Wrenching Story
Marie writes a story which keeps the reader on the edge of their seats. Good character development and dialogue. Great surprise for the suspect. Only thing unanswered was why Martin disliked Marcella.

Choppy plot.
This story had a lot of details that didn't go anywhere. The characters were not well developed. The action didn't fit the theme.

A wonderful story that starts out really quickly with intrigue and a mystery man! Marcella lives with her sister and husband, who have recently gotten married. Martin has not treated her well at all and declares if she will not find a husband, he will choose one for her! The cad! She feels her only option is to become a mail order bride. Now she also has her her two year old cousin whose parents died to take care of...
She had been corresponding with a rancher and wanted to work out instead of Martin forcing her to marry. But of all things, she gets kidnapped by a man that thinks she is her sister. Full of intrigue and dangers.
Marcella is caught in a hard place. To stay in the only house she knows or become a mail order bride before her brother in law marries her off to who knows who.
But danger is closer than she could ever possibly know.
Not my most favourite that I have read but it made for a good quick read

This mail order book will keep you on the edge of your seat as Marcella is arranging her marriage to a rancher because of her brother-in-law insist that she marry or he will find someone for her. Before she can set things up she gets kidnapped by a man that thinks she is her sister. When he finds out her true identity he ask her to spy on her cruel brother-in-law because he thinks he has killed his family. This book is intriguing and suspenseful and keeps you guessing until the end.

Mail Order Marcella is another surprising story from Marie Higgins. The characters are interesting but the plot will keep you on the edge of your chair! Then you say "I didn't see that coming!" This is a very enjoyable book. Like the other reviewers have said, I can't say much more for fear of spoilers! I highly recommend you read this book.

Marie Higgins does what she does best in this book. She has given us a book with interesting characters and a plot with many twists and turns. To tell you too much about this story would be to ruin the effectiveness of the story twists. It is a wonderful and entertaining story.

The author has penned a heart rendering story with great characters and lots of action. suspense, surprises and romance. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it. This is a real page turner; once you start reading it you will not be able to put it down until you have finished it.

The story pulls you in from the beginning. This was a fun romantic suspense. There's a definite villian and hero from the beginning. I admit at times I skipped ahead because the suspense was killing me. I really enjoyed the book. Marcella and Wesley are wonderful together.

What can I say except it's another suburb story by Ms. Higgins. I very much enjoyed the book. The ending was such a surprise! I received an ARC. This is my voluntary review.
