Neither of us loses.

I used to create "dreams" with my best friend growing up. We'd each pick a boy we liked, then we'd write down a meet-cute that always ended with a happily ever after.

Now I get to dream every day, although it's a little steamier these days. And I've discovered I can and will write anywhere I can. Keep tuned to Instagram to see all the times I fit in a sentence or two.

I'm a writer, married to a writer, mother of a creative dynamo of a nine-year-old boy and currently a little sleepy. I'm a klutz and goofball and love lipstick as much as my Chuck Taylors.

Good things in the world: pepperoni pizza, Flair pens*, wine, coffee, laughing with my friends until my stomach hurts, a musician at the top of their game, getting lost somewhere I've never been, matinee movies on a weekday, the Chicago Cubs, a fresh new notebook full of possibilities, bourbon on a cold night, Fantasy Football, witty men, walking through the local zoo in the rain and that moment when a character clicks in and begins to write their own adventure. I'm just the pen.

And just like that book 3 concludes the wonderful story of Josh and Elle. I'm crying happy tears as they sometimes escape as Elle would say. This was an absolutely fantastic closing to this trilogy. There was so much that happened and I don't want to give away spoilers but you are taken on an emotional journey from pleasure and pain. There are definitely some triggers but the author wrote it so well it makes you realize anyone can overcome anything!

With a huge support system of family and friends this story shows how a community can come together when one or all are in trouble and save something special.

I'm so excited to know Kelly Kay is continuing to write stories of the families we grow with and love in these books. I can't wait to continue on the journey and learn more about the other characters and get updates on Josh and Elle!

Fun Read! I Just finished the third book in the trilogy, LaCha[[elle/Whittier Vineyard.
it was funny, sweet, full of sex, good friends andall around entertaining. The characters were ditffrent than you find in most romance novels. You have your mob boss, Sal and his thug Lou, your Mom, who has Parkinson's and of course your wine, which played a major part.
The author, Kelly Kay, did a lot of research to help the reader feel right at home in Sonoma.
I want to thank Kelly for includeing a character with Pakinson's Disease, It's not offen you find an author who will include a diesase that affects 1 million Americans. Well Done!

Ugh, the beginning of this book had me crying. Definitely the heavier of the three books but just as amazingly good. Am I sad to say goodbye to the characters? Yes, but this was a wonderful conclusion to this trilogy and one that will live rent free in my head ❤️. Kelly Kay has become an auto buy author for me after these books and I can't wait to read more. Read these, you will not be disappointed.

Uncorked is hands down my favourite in the series, I started it around 8:30/9pm and fell asleep at the 60% mark. I was all consumed by the events that continued to unfold so fast paced, action packed and full of revenge, friendship, team work fear and love. I was so stoked how every piece of the story was placed. Although, I do wish Josh knocked a certain someone out lol; lord knows he deserved much worse! Can’t recommend this series enough!

Just finished this third and (for now?) final installment of the series featuring Josh and Elle and their steamy and complicated courtship set primarily among the vineyards of Sonoma. Kudos and thanks to Kelly Kay for giving us richly drawn characters and a smart, fun, adventurous, and sometimes harrowing storyline.

This series was wonderful

Elle a d Josh really went through some tough situations to find their HEA. Family health issues. This winery takeover. Domestic abuse. Mob wars. Bicoastal issues. Dealing with a revenge ful maniac. But family and friends working together helped them overcome it all. Really loved the characters and the stories.

What a perfect ending to an awesome series!

I have spent the last few days in Sonoma with some amazing wine and even more amazing people. Well, at least that’s what it felt like, because that’s how Kelly Kay writes.

This is the final book in the LC/W series and to say I was sucked right back into this world would be an understatement. You will pick up right where Rootstock left off, up to your neck in the drama with the smarmy Asher who we find out is even more vile than we originally thought.

As with the rest of this series this book centers on Josh and Elle’s story of ups and downs and upside downs 😏, when they are together everything heats up.

The direction Kelly took this part of the story will do nothing but make you fall in love with all of the members of of the Five Families. The way they come together to fight for what is right is the stuff that makes me excited to read stories like these by authors like Kelly.

I am a Kelly Kay fan, and this story has done nothing but make me more of one. If you like steamy, love stories with smart banter and picturesque settings then you will find no better than Kelly Kay. Simply put, read this series.

1) Crushing
2) Rootstock
3) Uncorked

When I started the first book in this trilogy, I thought, enemies to lovers, wine country, rom-com - yeah, my sort of light read. It turned out to be so much more than that. This final book picks up exactly where the previous instalment’s cliffhanger left off, and through many twists and turns, wraps everything up beautifully. Friends and family banding together to take down the bad guy? Check. Two main characters who face adversity together and apart, taking their connection from strength to strength? Check. Hot sex? CHECK. This trilogy was an unexpected delight that I’d definitely recommend. And now I want a glass of wine 🙂

Uncorked: LaChappelle/ Whittier Vineyards: Book 3 is the closing story on Josh and Elle’s journey. And a lot happens in it. The story starts exactly where ‘Rootstock’ ends. The sale of the vineyards is a done deal. They discovered they had been schemed, and Asher was not really Asher. Now it’s time to fight back and save their beloved wineries, but they have to deal with pretty bad stuff from Elle being assaulted by Asher/Darren to hacker problems.

Elle’s life takes a downturn after Asher assaults her. She goes to therapy, but ends up losing herself and becomes paranoid. As a last resort, Josh sends her back to NY and pretends to bring Joshua back. Sometimes you have to go back into your old self to find your mojo again.

This story is a wild ride. It’s action packed. The five families come together to save their wineries. The parents come up with a plan, and the children execute it. Josh calls for a hacker’s help, Mel. She’s Elle’s ex employee and agrees to lend a hand.

Here you can have a peek of all of them, and their unique personalities. Sam and Jims. Bax, Tommy and Ingrid. Becca and David. Tabitha. And not only them, Sal, the mobster, Poppy and Sammy all pitch in. They are all in this, and also the parents, who are so different from one another, but all of them come together as family in a loyal friendship. Time is ticking, and they need to make sure the plan works.

The story is fast-paced, and you can’t stop reading. There is a good amount of angst and drama, but it doesn’t mean it lacks funny situations and Josh and Elle’s heavy, spicy make outs once she got herself back on track again. This trilogy is a must read if you believe in love, friendship, love wine, and like some drama and laughs. Or if you want to try something new!

I wish I could see Sam and Sammy, Sal and Poppy’s story in the future. Bax and Tabi’s story is already out, in Over a Barrel and Under the Bus. Also David’s story in Meritage. ENJOY!

Elle and Josh have settled into a routine on Emma Farm running things while the year passes before the farm is sold. But things with Asher, her former friend, are ready to blow up in all of their lives. It starts a chain reaction that sees the Sonoma wine families pull together in unprecedented ways to a common goal.

Book three in this series picks up where book two ended, and I am glad I read the three in succession. These are in no ways standalone stories. The loveliest thing about the three books is the way that the characters grow and develop - their relationships with each other, trusting their good friends and finding peace. There are events in this story that are hard to read and that push the intrigue in the story in a way I wasn’t expecting. I now need a break before book four in the series! 😉

And this concludes Josh and Elle’s story and what a story it has been!
This picks up directly following the finish of Rootstock to discover all the hidden traps in the sale deal and uncover the depth of the deception Dasher has sprung on the whole of the Five Families.
This volume gives us a lot of heavy reading with its bouts of violence, but they are plots points which further the story and characters.
It also gives us the whole cast of the Five Families, plus Sal and Lou, as they set about plotting, planning, and executing to take down the “bad guy”.
It’s a great ending to a love story that was every bit a saga, but a complex and enjoyable read.
Loved every minute of it!

Oh this series has my heart. Perfect in every way! So much steam and packed with suspense too! This book really hits close to home as I’m a survivor of domestic abuse. It’s so satisfying to see justice served by the end of the book. I feel like this one is even steamier than the others and I loved every minute of it. Kelly is gifted with creating beautiful steamy stories with characters that are so relatable and addressing real life issues at the same time. The epilogue gave me chills!

I NEVER SAW that coming. I should have paid attention but this book tore my heart out and gave it back to me. The happily ever after isn't so smooth for Josh and Elle or all the winery families. They work together in the best way and Elle finds and fights her way to an amazing ending. And there's funny parts and Kelly Kay makes sure to give us the steam, the heart and all the story. So good. I loved getting to know the other winery people!

This concludes Elle and Josh's story. It is an excellent read that'll unravel everything, then bring it all to one big finish. You'll be on the edge of your seat from the first page till the very end. Lots of action, a stalker hell bent on getting what they want, twists and turns. Absolutely loved reading and how it all ended.

exciting conclusion

What an ending to the Sonoma Series trilogy. Danger, drama, angst, and some serious bad a$$ teamwork by these families to fight back against Dasher’s revenge plan. Now for more of “the five.”
