Crash into Me

When a stabbing death calls homicide detective Molly Donahue and her partner to Central Park, it’s just the beginning of a string of murders in an investigation that leads them to Los Angeles, and the death of a Hollywood starlet three decades earlier.

During the course of their investigating, they interview billionaire Kade Wakefield. Molly isn’t prepared for her reaction to him. He’s stoic, intense and possibly on the wrong side of the law, but she’s undeniably attracted.

Kade Wakefield isn’t expecting detective Molly Donahue. She’s the law, and he follows it when it suits him, but the insatiable hunger she stirs has his well-honed control pushing at the cage to break free.

As the investigation heats up, they start an intensely passionate affair but soon learn what’s between them is more than physical, something they’re willing to give it all up for, but her case takes a deadly turn and the one she hunts is now hunting them.

My thoughts? Crash Into Me is classic Fiore and holds everything I've fallen in love with when it comes to her writing.

✔ a strong, sensitive alpha hero who knows what he wants when he sees it
✔ a fierce, intelligent and kickass heroine who gives as good as she gets
✔ an intriguing plot that held me captive to it from beginning to end

A body is discovered in the park and detective Molly Donahue and her partner are on the case. Their investigation takes them to the offices of Kade Wakefield, who they immediately discount as a person of interest, which leaves the door wide open for the insane chemistry to continue to build between him and Molly. When I say they instantly needed each other, I don't mean instalust (though that obviously did exist) nor instalove. I'm talking an intense need for each other that had them sitting up and taking notice. It was a living, tangible thing that neither of them had ever experienced or ever expected. They fell so easily and willingly and I loved how the author created a love like their's that seemed so effortless.

The dead bodies start adding up, leaving Molly and Zac (her partner) to go around in circles. The killer is smart and for every part of the mystery they solve, they find themselves asking even more questions with no answers. I loved getting lost in the case with them, trying to figure out motives, finding clues, and ultimately discovering who they needed to hunt.

What will you find? The thrill of Molly and Zac's chase for a killer, the swoon-worthy romance that Molly and Kade blessed us with, and a charming cast of side characters (will I see them again?). There was even a sweet Easter egg for another one of my favorite Fiore novels. Crash Into Me had many moving parts and had me falling in love with each one of them.

Well what can I say… Crash into Me wasn’t my favourite book by L.A. Fiore but it was enjoyable none the less.
Having all that, I won’t deny that the storyline is bloody suspenseful and exciting. Growing up, I was addicted to watching TV shows involving crime solving and all that jazz so I was beyond thrilled to read this book.
I feel like I am contradicting myself here but I truly did enjoy reading Crash into Meeven though it wasn’t my new favourite by L.A Fiore.Molly and Kade are *chef kiss*
Their chemistry is just wow!

Crash into Me is passionate, mysterious, suspenseful, thrilling and absolutely addictive.

When a body is discovered in the park, Detective Molly Donahue and her partner are on the case. Their investigation takes them to billionaire Kade Wakefield, who Molly almost immediately discounts as a person of interest, a good thing since the connection between Molly and Kade is one that has them both hot under the collar.

There were parts of this read that really had me hooked and then I found myself thinking oh bloody hell a few times. I liked Molly as a heroine but there moments when she was yearning for, drooling over Kade, when I really wanted her to be cooler in her thoughts and reactions to/about Kade, there was a level of steel and sharpness missing that would have added an awesome dimension to her character. Plus, Molly was willing to give up a tad too quickly, how it materialised/the timing didn’t entirely work for me.

When I first started reading this and was introduced to Molly and Kade I was expecting and hoping for some Eve and Roarke vibes from the In Death series by J.D. Robb or a female MC similar to rocking Kate Beckett from the show Castle, and for a bit was even hoping Molly and Kade would be even more fabulous. Alas whilst I enjoyed both MCs individually and together, there was a texture to their relationship and characters that was lacking – just a smidge.

A nice blend of romance, danger and murder. An entertaining read.

~ 5 Crashing Stars ~

What an AMAZING story. This totally took me back to L.A. Fiore earlier books. This is why I have fallen in love with her writing!!

I couldn’t put this book down. I was immediately sucked in and didn’t stop until I had all the answers.

This book was filled with so much that it has to be one of my favorite romantic suspense books. There is laughter, pain, romance, swoon worthy moments and heart stopping suspense!! This was one heck of a roller coaster ride!! But I didn’t want to get off...I wanted more even though the story was over!!

Crash Into Me is L. A. Fiore’s latest stand-alone novel and I have to say it has moved to the top of my list of favorites by her. It is told in Dual POV. I absolutely loved the storyline and the characters she gave us totally sucked me into their world. I even loved some of the secondary characters that I hope we see a story for (Carmine)

If you are a fan of the romantic suspense story that will have your heart beating fast and your kind running wild, then this is the book to read. If you haven’t read anything by L.A. Fiore then this is the perfect book to start with!!

Add this to your TBR list NOW!! And make sure to 1-click it once it releases!!

"I wanted the magic and mystery. I wanted him. Completely impossible, but maybe for one night, the impossible was possible."

What a BLAST this book was!!! We had feisty female homicide detective with a crazy complicated case swirling around mysterious, gorgeous, panty-dropping billionaire and let the games begin!!! While solving the case, Molly begins falling for Kade (along with this reader) even though they couldn't be more different, and would face so many obstacles to be together. Twists, turns, and so many swoons later, we have a whole lot of story that I couldn't put down until I was done. Insanely romantic, excitingly steamy, impeccably paced, and crazy complicated to figure out...I know I didn't guess correctly!! You will love all facets of this book, because it has so MANY. I enjoyed it so very much!

"...I was caught in the spell of his making. Clay at the hand of a master, ready to be worked and molded, however he saw fit. I'd never experienced anything like it and knew he was ruining me."

This book was a real challenge for me. I don't read often romance suspence. Or not this type.
I'll tell you the truth. The first part of the story made me feel stuck in the middle of an NCIS episode. That may be its biggest risk. You have two options at this point, keep reading because you're intrigued by the drama of the story or struggle with it, because you want the romance part, not the "cruel" one. So if you like that kind of mystery, that's a win win, you'll have the whole package, the suspense, and the love story.
It's quite original the match of the main characters, that the author opted for. I mean she's a detective! And that's one of the reasons I decided to read it, so you'll see her "in action", but Molly is also a great woman.
Now the hero, Kade, as I was saying that's an interesting match, he's a famous billionaire. But he's also the red in her black and white life.
So, you'll get the romance part too. Well, the author plays a lot with those two sides of the story. Overall, crash into me is a puzzle for your mind, a dream for your heart.
Get all the answers, reading it.

Let me throw a question at you … Do you know the names “Kate Beckett” and “Eve Dallas” – and maybe do you even love everything around/about these characters ?

If yes – you came to the right place when you want to read this book. And I probably just now told you everything you need to know …

And if you have no idea what I am talking about … google them … AFTER you read this book.

It has been a long time since an author brought back my love for this kind of romance. There was a time in my life when read tons of books with criminal or forensic settings that had romance as side note …… Actually it all started with Ms. Marple when I was very VERY young – probably to young – but … it didn’t hurt. Then something changed – probably life – and I moved on to other reading subjects. Until … (as I said – google it) … anyway – there weren’t to many authors out there that could deliver that plotline to me in a way that I liked – but when I read the plot of Molly and Kade – I knew Ms. Fiore would deliver – she always does …

I loved every second of it … even if I have to admit that some of the side strings would have made great plot lines on their own instead of disappearing into an afterthought within this story.

If you love the darker dominant guys that are not afraid of strong women – you came to the right place … And trust me – Ms. Fiore threw so many distractions into the story that not even a “Ms Marple Senior Fan” like me could get a read on the culprit until it was almost to late.

And let my close with the cryptic line of “One man’s button is another man’s name card”

Five freaking stars!! Gosh, just when I think L.A. Fiore’s writing couldn’t get any better, she comes out with this! I don’t think I can express how much I am in love with her writing. No matter what genre book she writes, I will buy it without hesitation and know I’ll absolutely love it. Crash Into Me was thrilling, captivating and held me captive with twists and turns, secrets and mystery. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time and devoured this book in one sitting.

Oh Kade, you have definitely been added to my list of book boyfriends. Silent, stoic and comes across as ruthless but underneath all that hardness is a heart of gold. He worships Molly. He is attentive, thoughtful and so damn sexy, he was lighting up the pages.

Ugh I loved Molly. I loved her commitment to finding justice and the truth and her need to give a voice to those who no longer have one. She was kind, compassionate, loyal, and looked out for those who she cared deeply about.

I loved Kade and Molly individually and as a couple. They were seriously perfection. Finding each other when either least expect it, but not being able to deny or resist the all-consuming and almost magnetic connection they shared. Something starting as simple curiosity leads to this unshakable and unbreakable bond that left me swooning and a little tear in my eye.

I love LA Fiore’s writing style, her plots, the incredible and in-depth characters she creates, but most of all I love the overall and everlasting feelings I’m left with when I finish her books. I could seriously ramble and fan girl about her books and Crash Into Me is a prime example, but I’ll keep it short and sweet and just say that this book was incredible and I cannot recommend it enough. Sorry, one more thing...damn this girl can write a sizzling sex scene. One minute I’m drowning in emotions from the super intense and emotional scene, when bam out of nowhere I’m dropped into this sexy as sin sex scene and I’m thanking all things heavenly that I wasn’t sitting in public. *fans face*

I’m super intrigued to see if Carmine will get his own story and I’m crossing my fingers that he does. Also, very excited to start another book of LA Fiore’s books that was mentioned at the end of this one.

3.5 stars/4 stars

I was intrigued by the synopsis of this book after I saw the cover, so I waited for it to release, grabbed a copy, and read it once I had some free time! This is also the first book that I've read from this author, even though I've had a few of her books on my Kindle for years! After reading, I can say that I liked this book, but I did have a few problems with it! The plot only took me a few sittings to read and I did enjoy the overall direction of it! I have to say that I found the mystery aspect a little confusing though! I felt like there were a lot of names and because of this I found it difficult to remember who was who, which I think ruined the mystery aspect for me because there were a lot of names lol! There were some suspense and action scenes that added a lot to the plot though! There was a lot of romance in the plot as well, which I loved because the romance allowed for quite a few seriously hot scenes! The characters were great and did make the plot better! Molly was the main character, and in this book she was a homicide detective, which meant that she had a dangerous, time-consuming job! I really liked Molly in this book and she was kick ass and worked very hard! Molly also went through a lot in this book and she realised what she really wanted in her life and what she wanted to do next! Kade was the love interest of Molly! I was intrigued by Kade in this book and he was involved a bit in Molly's case, so I wasn't really sure if he could be trusted at the beginning of the book! I did start to trust Kade more as the plot progressed because he proved to be very helpful when it came to helping Molly and her partner with their case! It was also easy to see Kade's feelings for Molly develop and he was protective of her as well! This book was mainly written from Molly's point of view, but there were some chapters written from Kade and also secondary characters point of views! All of the other point of views were written in third person and then Molly's point of view was written in first person! I think that the author did this to keep the mystery aspect going and for all the other characters to be suspects! I enjoyed that the majority was written from Molly's point of view and I was still able to connect with the other characters! I can also completely understand why this book is a standalone! Everything in the plot was wrapped up and I think that all the questions raised were answered lol! The ending was left at the perfect place for the characters and it showed how far they had come together! I will definitely check out more of this author's books! I know she's written a pirate book that sounds interesting, so I'll definitely be looking into reading that one! I can't wait to see what she's going to release next as well! I also love the cover for this book a lot! It really drew me to the book and made me check out the synopsis, even though I recognised the author's name! I love how well it suits the feel of the book as well!

Detective Molly is working a troubling homicide case, and while it takes some twists, turns and diving into a past case, the case brings her and her partner to questioning Kade. Kade is a successful tech billionaire who feels a pull to Molly. These two feel the attraction, while they should stay away, they can't. This book kept me zoned in. I love a good romantic suspense. I definitely enjoyed it!

As Molly and her partner kept digging into the case, their lives becoming more unsafe. Kade was definitely dominant but so sweet, caring and loves her so much. My heart nearly stopped at one point in the story. GOODNESS, what a way to break my heart. Kade and Molly have undeniable, strong, fantastic chemistry! Kade was real mysterious, but as the story went on, you couldn't help but to really like him. This book had good supporting characters. I really enjoyed it. The only thing I wasn't so sure about was, this was told in dual POV, while Molly's was in first POV, Kade's was in 3rd, it was a little distracting for a few chapters but once I finally got the hang of it, it was fine. But overall, I couldn't put it down!

“Every breath, every beat...yours forever.”

Crash Into Me is a romantic suspenseful whodunit that kept me guessing until the very end. It’s told from dual POVs with a couple of chapters told by a secondary character when it was needed.

I liked both Molly and Kade. She’s an attractive police detective that is truly a good person. She’s kind to those around her and really cares about her job and helping people. Kade is a gorgeous mysterious billionaire with a questionable background. They are night and day and shouldn’t be drawn to one another, but there is no mistaking the heat and attraction they share upon meeting. I loved how protective Kade was of Molly, and found it enduring how out of sorts she made him. Molly never once questioned her gut feeling that Kade wasn’t involved, nor did she ever question that she could trust him.

I liked all of the secondary characters, especially Ethan, Carmine and Zac, and felt they added a lot to the storyline.

I enjoyed this book and will certainly read more from this author in the future.

Wow, what a story. This book had so many twist and turns. I couldn't put book down once started. I couldn't work out who the killer was. But I worked it out near the end.

I loved Molly and Kade together, they may of met under circumstances of murder but they had instant chemistry when they met. I loved that Kade helps with the investigation from the start.

L.A Fiore did amazing job on this book.

Loved reading Molly and Kade's story. Two people from different sides of the law came together in a very passionate and romantic relationship. Their lives would have never crossed if she wasn't the investigator in the murders that were taking place and he wasn't the suspect she was interviewing. Their story is suspenseful, with many twist and turns!

I love a good murder mystery book wrapped up in a amazing love story. This book hit all my emotions and intrigue. I love when the mystery can't be solved within the first few chapters, but has you guessing until the very end. I definitely didn't see the ending, I would have never guessed. This was an awesome book and I just love this author's work.

Crash into Me
By L.A. Fiore
Author’s Website: https://www.lafiorepublishing.com/
Brought to you by OBS reviewer Heidi

Homicide detective, Molly Donahue and her partner, Zak, just caught a case. And, then two more bodies quickly follow, including a reporter with an obsession with a movie star’s suicide from over 30 years ago. The man had been determined Katrina Dent had been murdered and as the pieces start to fall together it appears he just may have been right!

This case takes Zak & Molly into the underbelly of the city where crime bosses run the show. And, it sends Molly crashing into bad boy billionaire Kade Wakefield. A man whose businesses are rumored to not all be completely legal. After interviewing him, Molly quickly crosses him off her list of suspects. However, the meeting stuck with both of them and after a few more chance run-ins with each other they can no longer deny what’s brewing between them, whether it costs Molly her job or not!

As the case heats up and Molly and Zak get closer to the truth, it puts her right in the middle of Kade’s circle of questionable acquaintances. A place he’d like to protect her from. With their two worlds colliding can Kade and Molly survive it or will their differences finally succeed in pulling them apart once and for all?

I do really enjoy Fiore’s books, but I wasn’t sure if I’d like this one since it seemed more of a police procedural book with a little romance mixed in. Don’t get me wrong, I do occasionally read and enjoy police dramas, but I feel they typically have to work a little harder to keep my interest. It’s a good thing that Fiore is a hard worker because I did really end up enjoying this book!

In the beginning this reminded me a lot of Nora Robert’s /J.D. Robb’s In Death series. The tough female cop attracting the interest of the handsome rich man that straddles the line of legality. And, both Eve (from the In Death series) and Molly even worked the same department. Heck, they both even had cats! As I got further into the story, it did start to break away from the In Death series and truly stand on its own.

And, there is a lot of steam and sex in this one so make sure you’re prepared for that before endeavoring to read it! Kade and Molly sure aren’t shy with each other, that’s for sure!

I loved Kade and Molly as a couple. They seemed to really work. I also loved all the friends they both had. Carmine, Zak, Ethan, etc. to name a few. I really hope this book develops into a series so I can learn more about all these people that I just “met”.

I found the murder mystery to be interesting and I did not guess the murderer at all! My only complaint was the big reveal at the end seemed a bit of a disappointment. I was expecting it to be more of a major player in the book. But overall this was a really great read and I can’t wait for more from this talented author!

So sexy! I love this author and her fantastic storytelling and scrumptious characters. This is another terrific super sexy romance with a thrilling suspenseful mystery. I loved the boss detective, Molly and her partner, Zac. She’s a fabulous heroine. Smart, beautiful and connecting the dots in the latest murder mystery that lands on her desk. The victims start multiplying and the suspects piling up, with one in particular of interest to Molly. The mysterious Kade Wakefield. His chemistry with Molly is obvious right from the start. Kade has a dark past and sees himself as a villain but he’s all prince to Molly. She can’t stay away from him even if her case might demand it. Luckily, she clears him and the fairytale begins as the two embark on a swoon-worthy fest of sexy encounters until the love is in full force. This is one insanely hot couple! But as the mystery intensifies and Kade and/or his friends are in the conversation as suspects, it’s complicated. I couldn’t figure this one out. It kept me guessing all the way to the end with lots of moving parts and dangerous elements. I felt like the leaps in intelligence to connect the evidence was a stretch and I didn’t care for the emotional drama with Molly at the end. But other than that this was a outstanding mystery suspense with dangerous foes and friends and a panty-melting romance with delicious characters in Kade and Molly. I loved the fairytale quality to this with the billionaire, playboy prince sweeping the hard-working, middle-class detective off her feet. I also loved the family and friends aspect and hope we get more stories from these characters. Carmine was an intriguing guy and I would love to see Molly and Zac back in action, solving crimes and catching perps. Loved the ending and epilogue. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

Normally when I read these kinda of books, I can start to put the story together and know exactly who the murderer is but in this book I didn't have a clue. Who I thought was the missing link wasn't at all and I must have missed the guy was because I had no clue who that guy was. Anyway, I love a good murder mystery with a romance in it. This one has determined detectives who will do and go anywhere to find out the truth behind the murders. I loved how tight knit the different departments of the police force are. They were all willing to help put the murderer behind bars. Molly is one determined detective, she loves digging thru the clues and finding who did it. She was loving her job and the thrill of it until Kade entered her life. I don't know what it is about the name Kade but I always end of loving characters with this name. Kade came from nothing to make a name and money for himself. He is worth more money then he knows what to do with and hangs out with the elite of Hollywood. He also has ties to the mafia as well. When him and Molly meet, sparks fly. He tries to forget about her but can't. These two move semi-fast but the connection is there and it works. When something happens to Molly, Kade proves how much he truly loves and cares about her. This is a hard moment but oh so sweet at the same time. This book has the twists, turns and mystery. I love how well Kade and Molly work together and how protective he is of her. A lot of things happen in this book but in the end, they discover the truth about who's behind the murders and what's truly important in life. I seriously loved everything about this book and absolutely loved that I couldn't figure things out like I normally do. This was a fantastic book with characters you will love!!

Crash Into Me by LA Fiore has a very similar feel to the JD Robb In Death series. It's one of my absolute favorite series and it takes a lot for me to even think that... like it must be a really good book because generally nothing can compare to that series. I wouldn't mind if LA Fiore gives us another 50 books about this group... they are that interesting! Romantic suspense books are the best stories and this one grabs you right from the start. The opening chapter grabbed hold of me and I HAD to know what was happening. Fiore then proceeds to take us on what feels like a vintage type story. I could not read it fast enough!

Molly is a strong female lead. She's a detective and is on a case about a woman stabbed while out running. This leads up to Kade. Kade is a billionaire that has some areas that might... could... overlap to the case Molly (and Zac her partner) is investigating. Molly and Kade put up a sliver of resistance in the attraction they were feeling but soon, they were jumping in both feet! I really like them together. The attraction between them was instant and HAWT! So you get the jist of the storyline...

LA Fiore gave this story a vintage feel during a modern era. It made me even more fascinated with the characters and the storyline. I was obsessed with the murder storyline and trying to unravel it all. This is probably LA Fiore's best book I've read in years! It reads so easily and the characters are so real, it was just impossible to not be wrapped up in! Love me a good romantic suspense and this one is compulsive and unpredictable until you're finished and sitting a bit open-mouthed!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

I almost managed to read this book in one sitting - it was that good - but sleep stepped in lol!

Two souls crash together, but instead of carnage, they create a fairy tale.

Molly Donahue & Kade Wakefield meet in the middle of an investigation. Not expecting the other, both are surprised at the depth of feeling that quickly springs up between them. The outside forces that invariably caused their meeting still have unfinished business to clean up, however, and the couple may find themselves in cross-hairs before long.

Though Molly & Kade's romance was quick, I never doubted it. Kade & Molly had chemistry in spades & formed a special connection very quickly, and though they knew that their association could be dangerous for each other and fought it best they could, they never unnecessarily hurt one another.

"You crashed into me and gave me forever."

I loved that when Kade said he trusted Molly, he proved it. He let her do her job, even assisting where he could, but he never pressured her. Even when the author made our hearts stop beating for a few moments, he was Molly's biggest supporter, never leaving her side. His devotion and love were truly swoon-worthy. Molly accepted Kade as he was - flawed - but in her eyes, he was perfect for her. Molly got her fairy tale, one that she didn't even know she wanted.

"You brought color to my world, not going back to black and white."

I really enjoyed the twists and turns. I had suspicions about who was who, but the author did a good job of casting doubt and spinning a thought-provoking mystery.

I recommend this read, and look forward to reading more of Fiore's work.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

This book had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish; it is romantic suspense at its best. This story took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions, with so many intrigues, twists and turns, I literally couldn't keep up with everything L.A. Fiore packed into this amazing story.

Told in dual POV, which I love, I felt I got into the minds of Molly Donahue who is with the NYPD and Kade Wakefield, billionaire and owner of a very successful company. I loved Kade as soon as he opened that gorgeous mouth of his, I also loved the way Molly affected him when he was least expecting it. Usually closed off, a workaholic with a different Victoria Secret model on his arm whenever he clicks his fingers, this man is used to getting what he wants.

Molly is a dedicated cop with a big heart and loved by all, she is determined to reinvestigate the case of a suspected suicide that was thirty years ago which is somehow entangled in the murder case that she is looking onto at the present.

Honestly, this book had it all. Suspense, action, so many twist's and turns that made my head spin. It is a sexy, slow-burn romance with chemistry that will set your kindle alight, secondary characters that were awesome and a plot that will keep you guessing right until the end.

Spectacular work from this author, there is brilliance all wrapped up in this story not to be missed.

Well, when I read the synopsis for Crash into Me, I wasn't quite expecting that. HOLY CRAP! L.A. Fiore took me on my favorite kind of romantic suspense ride. Dangerous and sexy. Witty and brimming with romance from the first page.

I loved Molly. She was bold and savvy. Smart and brave. And completely blindsided when a case she's working brings her face to face with Kade. Oh my swoon- Kade Wakefield! That man was as dreamy as he was broody. And stunned stupid when he laid eyes on Molly for the first time.

Their attraction was instantaneous. Even though they didn't act on it right away, they couldn't seem to stay away. I loved that they broke their rules for each other. Pushed the boundaries of their code to have what they really wanted, each other. They fell hard and fast despite the obstacles in their way. And in the middle of their budding relationship was Molly's case that provided more questions than answers at every turn.

Hats off to L.A. Fiore for keeping me guessing until the bitter end of Crash into Me. My heart was pounding then breaking during the final third. I had no clue what was going to happen and I was holding my breath hoping that things would workout the way I wanted. And that ending- wowza! It was the perfect way to wrap up Kade and Molly's whirlwind romance.

Holy Crap on a cracker!! I loved Crash Into Me, and it deserves ALLLL the stars!! LA has packed so much into this story and puts you through every emotion, this book has it all murder, mayhem and a love story...and what an epic love story it is for Molly and Kade. Molly is a police detective investigating a murder of a young woman, little does she know this investigation is gonna lead her right into the path of Kade when he is questioned, and the rest as they say is history!! I couldn't put this book down, other than when I was messaging LA to yell at her Lol Crash Into Me did just that and so much more, I HAD to know what happens...will the killer's identity be revealed? I'm not gonna say to much more cause I want you to go in like I did...pretty much blind, I didn't even read the blurb, like I'd need to...It's an LA Fiore book!! I am yelling from the highest of rooftops that Y'ALL NEED THIS BOOK!!! You won't be sorry, and you will adore this story as much as I did, and do!! Thank you LA for the magic you create and the words you share with us all...it's a gift I cherish!! **EDITED TO ADD** I totally fell in love with Kade, and I'm putting my claim in here....HE'S MINE!!!!

When someone asks you how your day has been and your response is “ok” - this is the book version of that. For me, anyway.

When I read that the main protagonist Molly Donoghue was a detective, I knew I wanted to read this book. I love murder mysteries and was looking forward to fitting the puzzle pieces together.

I enjoyed this book, but didn’t love it. It’s a great story base, but I often confused the characters and suspects which made it hard for me to follow the story. I would often find myself wanting to skip paragraphs because some of the sexy scenes were a little repetitive. I got a little bored and wanted to just hurry up and finish it. In the end I didn’t really care what the outcome was.

For me, I find it really impersonal that Kade’s chapters are written in third person. It was the same for another book I read by this author. I just think it makes it difficult to connect with Kade and his personality. Especially when Molly’s is in first person. Because of this, it feels like there is some emotion and character lacking in the story. But, this is just my opinion.

There’s nothing I can actively say was bad about it, but it’s a book I will probably forget quickly. There was just nothing extraordinary about it.
