it’s the end of the series. and i’m so sad.
this was super cute though i did skim it because i wasn’t too interested in the mini volumes or aya chans last chapter too much, even though it was cute. i’m glad we got to see Rui and Nana one last time and they got the ending/beginning story they deserved. Also Kyōsuke’s chapter was so cute, i’m so happy for him. He was my second favorite because he’s so quirky through the whole series.

*Spoilers...Maybe....*
Okay so I wanted to give this book a four star rating but I ended up giving it a five star. This was too short! I actually paid for this book okay so I am kind of upset that it is TOO SHORT. I mean I paid $8 so maybe I am being a bit too much but still I paid MAHNEE for this book okay. I had loved all of the volumes so I thought this one was no exception....erghh. I wish I would have waited for this to be on Kindle Unlimited. The reason why I gave it afive star is because the first story with Kyosuke was just amazing. It was *mwah* chef's kiss amazing okay!!?! The ending was MEH. It was not that good but was not bad either. Honestly I am just upset that I paid money for the last volume when I should have waited to read for free. I feel like the author should have gone more in depth with Aya. Also Rui, he barely even has a story and I really thought it was going to be something wholesome...I should not be having such high expectations but sadly I did and now look what happened. Anashin Look what you made me do. I bought this last volume cuz your previous ones were so amazing. However, I am overjoyed with Kyosukes story..although abit jealous of the girl because NO KYOSUKE IS MINEEE!!!!!!Okay Sorry, I'm stop now.

Meh. I don’t think I was in the right mood to finish this series up, but at least it didn’t drag on forever.

I actually liked the side characters better than the main ones and would have rather follow them instead.

3, not bad but I think I outgrew this, stars.

And another series completed.

This was an extended epilogue with a collection of side bonus stories that were released in between the official volumes. Necessary? Not really, but a nice addition by the author.

I liked seeing Mitsuki grow and become more comfortable with Towa, the rest of the gang got some semi-happy endings, and Aya's story was touched on. I'm really glad he didn't immediately have a new love interest and that he's still stirring the pot even though he knows he's out of the running.

Overall, I think the series starts really strongly, but second lead syndrome really hit me here.

This volume technically didn't need to happen, but I'm glad it did all the same. Mostly that's for the Aya story - I really feel like the main romance could have gone either way, and because of that, I appreciate how Anashin opted not to go the route of giving Aya a new love interest. Not that I doubt Mizuki and Towa, but more because that's in a lot of ways more respectful of Aya's feelings. Having him just quickly move on would have been giving his emotions short shrift.

A lovely final farewell that showcased one of the core strengths of this manga: its wholesome characters.

The short bonus chapters were cute and funny. The two extra chapters gave more depth to Kyosuke than the entire manga portrayed him as having and also gave some much needed closure to the reader regarding Aya.

Sadly, behind all the laughs and interactions there was a bittersweet atmosphere as the end drew near. Ending this manga with bonus short stories was definitely a smart choice and one other manga would also benefit from doing.

“There’s nothing corrupt about thinking of someone who drives you to work harder”.
I wasn’t ready to say goodbye and I don’t think I will ever be. Waiting for spring was truly the best manga I’ve ever read. I loved it from beginning to end. It was frustrating at times and I think I missed more development on mitsuki’s part towards the ending but it was a good ride and a good story. This volume gave us closure about the other side characters. We get to see more about Aya, Rui, Kyosuke and not much about towa and Mitsuki which is why I can’t give it 5 stars. However I highly enjoyed it. I was surprised but ayas story because I liked it. He went overseas and he was working on himself and I liked how he realized that in the end, he wasn’t the best interest for Mitsuki even if he’s a good friend. They were really dependent on each other and towa saw another side of Mitsuki and pushed her to be better. I have to admit that I wanted aya to be with rino because I thought they could serve and they look good together but that ending with her and another character got me by surprise even if we saw only a little bit and we didn’t get the full closure. I wished we could’ve seen more of the graduation and more scenes with the group together and all the couples + Aya but overall it was a nice addition to the story.
Im going to miss these characters so much and their dynamics. It was truly a ride but one that made me feel all of the emotions and for that I’m grateful.

It’s the end, and it’s bittersweet because I am shocked that it’s over. This was a very cute and fun story that was engaging from the very beginning. And with amazing characters that you can easily connect with and always look forward to the growth they each go through. In this volume I liked that we got a better focus on each of Towa’s friends even more especially Kyosuke and Rui, had another moment with Nana. I especially loved the chapter with Aya, he’s shown a lot of growth in this and it made me want to see more of him. Overall, I loved this series and I look forward to rereading all these books again in the future.

A very cute epilogue and I'm so happy to have found this series; though I'm sad to have it end. I'll be buying this entire set because it's easily become one of my favorites.

If you couldn't tell from all the five-star ratings right from Volume 1 in the series allow me to explain myself:

I'm absolutely head over heels for this series, it might just be my favorite shoujo manga yet and no, I do not regret finishing the whole shebang in two days+ pulling all-nighters to complete it.

There was never a dull moment with the boys and Mitsuki, Reina and Nana-chan (and including all the other characters as well) were absolutely adorably hilarious. No, I don't think I'll ever shut up about Towa, Kyosuke, Rui, Ryuuji, Mitsuki, Nana-chan, Reina and Aya-chan... like it's literally impossible considering the fact that my heart felt like it was overflowing with love, joy and heart-fluttering romance. I couldn't even keep myself from reacting overdramatically for almost every scene I read.

In short, this was pure escapism at it's finest and I'm in love with every single thing about this manga series.

The main chapters were the perfect ending for this final volume. I did skim the final volumes a bit because the mini mangas did not interest me and a lot of Aya’s final chapters were just flashbacks and familiar. But overall, I loved it and I absolutely cried at the end.

This manga series is so much more than just a silly little romance. It is also about finding your inner voice and the strength to grow and be better and continue to get stronger.

I love every single character, Aya is my least favorite still, but he did grow on me a bit near the final volumes.

There is still the silly little romance, of course. lol. It is a sports (basketball), high school romance, and the romance aspect was adorable for the most part. We do have a love triangle for most of the series which does start to get repetitive and a tad bit annoying. But you have to keep in mind that these are kids lol and Mitsuki had no clue how to navigate her first love life, but she does eventually figure it out and makes her choice. And it was a choice she knew she would make all along.

Overall, I love the series and I will def come back to it if I ever need a feel good series in between my deeper reads.

(。ノω\。) I don't want it to be the end!
。:゚(;´∩`;)゚:。 But it is, and it's bittersweet. The three bonus stories are awesome, although I choked up a little in Aya's. ಥ_ಥ And the bonus stories! OMG! I thought for sure they'd been hit or miss out of the volumes' context, but most of them are laugh out loud funny! I loved cosplaying as the Boss and Towa's first loves, the chin tilt, Waiting For Reverse Harem, and the King Game! This epilogue and the bonus stories are an excellent send off for a series that's easily going to stay a long time favorite. If you loved the series, you'll love this, too.

This volume is mostly vignettes tidying up loose plot threads, which I knew going in, and I enjoyed them. But there was one thing that I was deathly afraid was going to happen and it would have taken away a lot of my enjoyment. But it didn't, so now I am happy and I haven't given anyone any spoilers.

I recommend this whole series.

This was alright. If you can't get your hands on it, it won't be the end of the world. It feels like vol. 13 was more of the ending. These are just bonus chapters that were exclusive to the magazine it was serialized in then bound up into a volume. Fun little stories, but nothing that really advanced the overall story

This last volume was just a bind up of short stories but it was good to see what the rest of the characters ended up doing after the main storyline ended!

My overall rating for the series is 5 stars. Waiting for Spring is the first manga series I've read that has really resonated with me. Usually manga tends to be cheesy and fun but while this definitely had those elements it also touched on the deeper topic of social anxiety. Our main character is a girl with social anxiety that is very afraid of making friends. She was bullied so badly in the past that it traumatized her going forward. This is very similar to my own experience so you can understand why I really related to her. When she meets the most popular members of the basketball team by an off chance they really want to be friends with her because she doesn't really want anything to do with them. It's through them that she learns to break out of her shell more and become comfortable in making friends. Oh and she falls in love with probably the most beloved guy in the school, Towa.

I really loved the build up of Mitsuki and Towa's romance. It was slow going at first and even when they admitted they had feelings for each other they "couldn't" be together until the end of the manga since the basketball team was not allowed to date. The progression from where they started to where they ended was so beautiful that it has ruined me for life now. If you aren't Towa you are not worthy in my eyes.

The fact that both Mitsuki and Towa were pretty quiet and reserved was such a breath of fresh air. It shows that you don't need the main characters to be these overly outgoing personalities. Introverts are interesting too!

The love triangle aspect in here was probably my least favorite part. It was kind of unnecessary and only served to stress me out. Plus I didn't like Aya that much. He was pretty possessive of Mitsuki even though they had not seen each other since they were children. His jealously and actions toward Towa was also very uncalled for. You know that Mitsuki likes another man but you try to sway her feelings anyway? What kind of friend does that? Not a good one.

I really enjoyed the side characters. Sometimes side characters can be bland but the ones in Waiting for Spring were all very interesting and had unique personalities.

Another aspect I didn't like in this series was some of the elements of the romance of the side characters. Manga has a tendency to make romantic relationships between a high schooler and an older character a thing. It's not something I have ever been comfortable with since you know...ITS ILLEGAL. I don't know if its a cultural difference between America and Japan but it is just a trope that is in a lot of manga. Thank God the main romance wasn't like that.

I definitely recommend reading this series even if you are not into manga. I actually got the recommendation for this series from someone who doesn't read a lot of manga so I know it will be enjoyable to those who don't read a lot of it. It is a sweet, romantic, and funny story that will make you feel all the feelings.

Dommage.

I am shook by how much closer a certain couple gets in this manga! I thoroughly enjoyed the funny mini comics( I was hoping they’d be good).

Overall I am sad that Waiting For Spring is over. I fell in love with the entire crew in here, even Aya! I literally did podcasts on this manga series from start to finish. I may re-read one day.

Sooo this was the last book but there wasn't much of an ending? This book is a collection of one shot stories between the characters, which don't get me wrong I loved. But I would have loved a proper ending... oh well.

Series review! ★★★★★ out of 5 stars!
14 volumes (guide)
'When you're in an environment where you're putting everything you have into thinking and working with others… I think that creates beautiful bonds. And it naturally leads to making friends. I learned that when I really put myself out there, people will help me, as imperfect as I am. And I was excited when I realized that I actively wanted to help other people, too.'
I love Haru Matsu Bokura.

I love, love, love Haru Matsu Bokura.

My face whenever I read HMB is a testament to this.
The face ---> (。♡‿♡。)

Which is why I was so ashamed when I realized I haven't reviewed this gem of a manga (while I have wasted a lot of words on what I consider it's lesser counterpart, なまいきざかり。 1 Namaikizakari 1 ). As a fan who frequently rereads this series every year or two, I am ashamed that I haven't spoken enough praise for it because HMB deserves it.

There are three words that perfectly encapsulate HMB: pure, cute, and fluff. And nothing tops that combination in my book, especially when I'm tired and down and disappointed with the world. Actually, HMB is even better because it's pure cuteness and pure fluff! I never found the plot too contrived, there weren't many annoying cliches (I hate the misunderstanding trope so much), and the relationships aren't toxic. Kyousuke sums up most of the problems in this manga (+ my reaction) the best, "What a cute problem… it cleanses my heart."

Mitsuki is a great FL to root for, and her development from a shy and introverted coward to a brave, honest, and supportive friend is such a pleasure to witness. She picks herself up, gains confidence, and learns how to fight for herself and support her friends.

Towa is pretty much the best guy a girl can ask for. Every scene they're together cleanses my heart; every time they affirm their feelings cleanses my heart. Towa's too pure. Mitsuki's too pure. They're too pure... and together, they will defeat the evils of the world with their purity and they will make the purest babies in the world. Go forth, my children.
'I thought I already knew this… But I’m learning again just how lucky I am to have the one I like, like me back. To be able to hang out with you like this.'

Aya can be too much but he is never as repulsive as guy from other manga... I'm sorry (not really) I can't help but compare because the entire premise is the same! However, the difference with how they handled the same character is night and day!
A: If you lose, I'm going to win Mitsuki over again
T: I'm not going to lose… is that what you wanted me to tell you?
A: No. I wanted to tell you... You can do it.
*THE MOST WHOLESOME FIST BUMP*
The rest of the gang are also pretty darn amazing. I would like to specifically mention Ryuuji's perseverance ('A little bad news isn’t gonna change anything') and maturity ('I like you. I love you. So... please be happy.'). I also liked Rui's constant joke of trying to take Mitsuki away knowing all he wanted is for his best pal to make a move and not lose his love (the last chapter made me laugh so hard with them going: 'I could be stealing her, you know?' / 'What... this is the last chapter, dude.').

THE MANGA ABOUT THE STUPID LOVEBIRDS IS OVER! BUT WERE NOT QUITE FINISHED...
Before I truly say goodbye, can someone conjure Waiting for Reverse Harem for real haha because I will be waiting...

PS: if you have any recommendations for a manga as pure and cute and full of fluff as this one, please hit me up with the title!
'Little by little, we will move forward.'
