Last call signifies closing time is near, either you place your last order or settle any open tabs. In life, it’s when you’re fed up and a decision must be made … Should I Stay, or Should I Go?
For Lillian Weaver, last call could be a possible end to her seven-year marriage to Blair.
Blair, the owner of a popular bar, B Squared has allowed success to go to his head. Now, his pride and ego are bigger than the promises and plans he once made with his wife. A wife, who no longer recognizes the man Blair has become. He used to be loving and kind, someone she was willing to sacrifice her own dreams for.
Until one day, he changed. His demeaning language and disrespectful actions leaves Lillie confused, hurt and tired. Will Blair's pride cause Lillie to walk away and him lose it all? You'll have to find out in this Christian Fiction novella, Last Call .
Lakisha Johnson, native Memphian and author of over ten titles was born to write. She’ll tell you that “Writing didn’t find me, it’s was engraved in my spirit when I was created.” Along with being an author, she is an ordained minister, co-pastor, wife, mother and the product of a large family.

I had the privilege of listening to the audiobook of this story and can I tell you I did nit stop listening until it was finished. This was a great story on Faith, and power of words. It is amazing what a mustard seed of faith can do. I highly recommend this book.
Many couples go through the tough decision of should I fight or let go. In this book Lillian dealt with a lot of mess from Blair. I was happy for her at the end of the story. This was a great page turner and of course Lakisha Johnson doesn't disappoint with her writings. She always write books that deal with reality.
A very good read. It reminds me of the importance of unity in marriage. No unity, everything falls apart. I like the ending because it represents real life results. Great Biblical teachings as well.
I knew exactly where this couple's marriage was headed. But Ms Johnson did some serious teaching throughout this story. She used God's word to support the story. It was almost like she wanted to preach some sermons and used the story as a demonstration for them. But don't get me wrong, this was definitely relatable and despite reading/studying the Word, there's nothing like a good pastor to break it down for you. And that's what Ms Johnson did. And the prayers!! - always soul stirring no matter what the situation. This book really made me do some soul searching due to the lessons in it. Great Christian read and highly recommended.
Man! What a ride. I loved the real, real of this story. Blair worked my everlasting nerves! Lillie got the last laugh. Kim was 5150 and Hazel was a true friend. The majority of the story was believable. I could see stuff popping off like this. Jealousy is s beast and Blair acted like he had narcissistic personality disorder. It was a lil preachy but the story kept me locked in to the finish once I started. A couple of pages in and I knew it was going to be a mess. I can't wait to delve more into Johnson's catalog. I was given this book for an honest review.
She has been writing since 2012 as has penned more than seventeen novels, devotionals and journals. You can find topics of faith, abuse, marriage, love, loss, grief, losing hope etc. on the pages of her many books.
This book is about a relationship in a marriage and how the lillie was treated by blair but Lillie did not let her be torn down by what Blair did to her. The author in her novels, always put God first. Yes, we are human and often fall short of His term, but He still sees us in our circumstance or problem.Instead of murdering Blair in his sleep, Lillie brought her broken heart to God. She never let her faith down from God. We must remember to pray and to seek support. Most couples go through the difficult decision of whether to fight or let go. In that novel, Lillian was dealing with a lot of Blair's mess. At the end of the story, I was really happy for her. After all the verbal abuse he put Lillie through, he ended up begging and pleading.I really liked it and definitely liked the way it's presented. The author deserves a salute for writing about these problems.I am really impressed with author’s simple yet effective writing style.I could feel all the scenarios happening. Overall i truly loved the plot it was really very inspiring I would highly recommend this book to all the readers.
Title: Last Call Author: Lakisha Johnson Publisher: Twins Write 2 Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Five Review: "Last Call" by Lakisha Johnson
My Opinion:
'Last Call' was indeed a good story that was somewhat sad, but this is what can happen when one doesn't listen as it was for Blair and Lillie. It seems like both of these two people had once loved each other, but money became so crucial to Blair that he forgot how he had gotten to the place where they both had been happy. Lillie sought the Lord in all of this in trying to mend her broken heart. Blair didn't get serious about all of this until things didn't turn out the way he thought, and the begging and pleading with Lillie was a no-go. In our world that we live in, this situation happens, and in the end, it may not turn up the way one would like, as in this story. However, Blair put Lillie through a lot with all of his mess, but through prayer and her walk with the Lord, one knows it worked out quite well for her in the end. I loved how Lillie forgave him. I was indeed glad of Lillie's decision to stay strong because enough had been enough in this marriage. So, you should pick up the read and see how well this author brings it out so well to the reader.
Lillian and Blair Weaver, co-owners of B-Squared, have been married for 7 years and have an infant son. As the business begins to thrive, the marriage starts to decline, leaving Lillian questioning "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" Instead of allowing her flesh to seek revenge, she found solace in her relationship with God, and that was all the revenge she needed.
A wise person once said that if someone does you wrong, don't curse them. Ask God to bless them instead. They will soon wish you had done the latter.
I walked away from this book confident that when you pray and ask for guidance and direction, He will give you the answer…plain as day. I recall texting a few friends, instructing then to read the synopsis and tell me that God isn't speaking directly to me thru this book. At one point, I didn't realize I was crying, until someone inquired about it. I literally walked around the next day in a daze. WHEW!
Once again, I'd like to thank @kishajohnson for sharing her gift with her readers. If you haven't delved into this catalog, I strongly recommend that you do so.

Is it bad I’m soooooo glad she didn’t let Blair back into her life. I am so proud of her for declaring she is worth more than the crumbs being thrown at her. From the first chapter, I knew she was strong. She had her stuff together, I could tell. I was so glad she stayed faithful, even when it was hard. I’m glad they both had people around them that could tell them the straight truth. Even though Blair was a piece of work, he still deserved forgiveness and I’m glad she chose to give it. People get caught in being vindictive and it ruins their lives but she stayed strong. I’m so proud of her.
This book is a true story about how the love of money can distort your life. This book kept me turning pages from the first day of reading it. Lillie is the doting wife, loving mother, and a faith walker that is faced with the changes of life from the husband she has always loved. I love how she remains within her Christian walk. Lillie shows women how to make lemonade out of the lemons you are given. I loved this book and the story line. This is a must read book.
This book ministered you me. Though I’m not married I started a relationship in 2016 and by 2019 it was a mess. I cried out to God this Morgan’s asked him to help me break the Soul Ties. Not realizing I also had Mental Ties until I started reading this book. I finished the book and today is the day I start using my voice. Thank you LaKisha Johnson for another revelation!!! God Bless You!!!!
Great book as usual. I always come away with a good God fearing feeling after reading one of Lakisha's books. I can feel the anointing within the words. Keep up the great work. This book about the last call and how your words can cause you to fail made me think about my life and some of the things I've said and done. Ty for bringing them to the forefront and getting me to pray about them.
I truly enjoyed this book and was able to read it in a matter of hours. The events kept me intrigued as to exactly what would going to happen next and what I would have done. It also made me thankful for my marriage. I love quoting of scripture so much that I would look them up .
I can't wait to read the next novel by Ms. Johnson as I'm sure it will be as good as this one.
Lillie gave her all. But for Blair that wasn’t enough. When you’ve done all you can you have to stand. Lillie trusted God throughout. She has to step out of character a few times but that was reasonable under the circumstances. The scriptures and counseling provided throughout the story were so on point. We all reach a limit. Hopefully we take the necessary action before we hit rock bottom. Loved the story at all levels.
Talk about standing on your faith. Lillie took her broken heart to God instead of killing Blair in his sleep. How could he treat the woman who worked by his side, from the beginning, like she was garbage? Lilly was Blair's wife, but he treated her like SHE was the side chick. "Vengeance is mine." saith the Lord, and Blair got just what he deserved! Amazing story!
Lakisha, always put God first in her books. Yes we are human and fall short of His word sometimes, yet He Always sees us through our situation or problem. We must remember to pray, seek help, be affiliated with a church, prayer group, a true friend or relative, and seek Him for guidance. He will workout your marriage or whatever situation you are in!
This book was 🔥🔥it kept me going from beginning to the end!! During Pastor Wyatt sermons I thought I was in church! I was like yesss preach preach!! Lmbo! I couldn't stand Blair or Kim, I wanted to punch him so bad and I wanted to run Kim over in my car!!! Lillie was a true child of God! I recommend this book!
I read this book in one day. I really enjoyed how the words on the page flowed perfectly through out the book. I really liked how Mrs. Jones used scriptures that tied in with the different situations through out the book. This was the first book I have read by Mrs. Jones and I will read more novels by her.
I have read several books by this author and she never disappoints. I love Christian fiction and she does a great job. This story was great a must read. I liked the characters the good ones and the bad ones. I liked Lillie a lot she was smart, and her husband was not to smart. He got what he deserved. I'm glad she stayed true to God and to herself.
Again Ms. Lakisha Johnson you are a truly unique writer! I have become more interested in your other publications and I have another one of your books for me to see what happens next time. In your written book some portions I see me. Again I have truly enjoyed reading your book!
Each and every time that I read one of this author's books, I feel in the presence of the Lord. Her writing inspires me to continue to study God's Word. While reading her books, I hear a preacher's message, have bible study and prayer meeting afterwards. I enjoyed this book, you keep getting better and more creative! Keep ministering and I will keep reading.
I enjoyed this book as much as the last two books by Latisha. It was an easy read which I finished in a day. It made me think about my life and how I done things all wrong. Blair was all about Blair, but in the end he realized he had to change. Loved Lillie and her love for God. Will continue reading more of Latisha's books, I like her style.
Overall I really enjoyed the book. It was inspiring and encouraging. Pastor Lakisha Johnson thank you. A must read for married couples. There is always a lesson in this Authors books. The scriptures along w this great story spoke to me. Don't sleep on Lakisha Johnson. I was shocked with the ending. This book is a page turner. Pick up a copy today.
I think a lot of us women saw ourselves in this story. I am a fan of Lillie's she was faithful in her marriage and her business. I am glad she was able to see through Blair's scheme that he and Kim were hatching. I am also glad she has her own money and did not have to depend on Blair for anything. In the end Blair got what he deserved.
Lakisha Johnson has done it again taking into the hearts of the good and bad people in this world. Last call allowed us to see the food he bad and the ugly. Blair showed us all his sides and he paid for them in the end. Mrs. Weaver kept the faith as we should.
This was a very interesting take on a Christian book and I liked it. There were issues with the main couple. Lots of miscommunication. Blair (the husband) was a terrible person. Lillie (the wife) was a good woman who didn't stray from the path. The resolution was on point and exactly what I would expect in real life.
This story is so much more than a couple having trouble in their marriage. The strength and faith in God gave her the fortitude to get through what Blair did to her and their family. I loved Lillie. She is strong, self-assured, sassy and confident. I loved the way the story ended for her; not a happily ever after but a new beginning. Highly recommended
Women love so hard, Lillie took the mess her husband dished out, She placed her marriage on the alter many times, But Blair never knew God and his wife was there holding him, Till his bottom fell out...Great Read
I allowed a married man to destroy me and I had lost my faith and reading this book helped get me back on the straight and narr. I love all your books. Your books help me through out bad periods of my life. Your scriptures in your books help my mental.
