Destiny’s world is anything but ordinary, only she doesn’t know it yet. Some of her memories are missing, and the handsome and intriguing Nataniel whose attention she has caught is more than just a bartender.
After she suffers a fatal accident, Destiny is turned into a vampire by none the other than the sexy, arrogant, and infuriating famous supermodel Enrique, who expects her to be at his beck and call. Forced to abandon her dreams and plans, she has to learn to feed on humans and navigate the supernatural world. As if that isn’t hard enough, she and Nataniel find themselves on opposing sides.
But when a party goes wrong, Destiny wakes up surrounded by corpses with no idea as to how that happened, and Enrique refuses to help. Her only hope to find and stop the killer before more people die lies with Nataniel… if she’s willing to risk trusting him.
Mature content and language. Not suitable for younger readers.
I'm the author of the Element Preservers series, Human, the Tainted Elements series, the Deadly Destiny series, and the Elemental Earths series. I'm a big fan of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, dystopian and young adult fiction. Writing is my biggest passion, closely followed by reading and listening to music.
It’s been a while since I read a book about vampires and I had certain expectations from this book. So yeah, I have mixed feelings about it. It was way too childish for my taste, but it was full of action - which was a plus. On the other side, events keep happening and each time I thought the book was gonna end, another thing happened that twisted the story and made it continue. The characters were ok-ish. I still don’t know what Enrique wants and why he acts like a brat... but maybe the second book reveals it. Book which I don’t know if I’m gonna read. 🤔
Title: Love Me Deadly Author: Alycia Linwood Genre: NA Urban Fantasy Format: Ebook Pages: 255 Rating: 4 Heat: 1
Thoughts: Ooohh, that was fun and I can't wait to read the next one!! Destiny is stubborn, snarky, and I so wish we could hang out. She doesn't care about the hierarchy of vampires, she just wants to stop a killer from striking again. Which leads her into a relationship with the one person she shouldn't be with, a vampire hunter. Granted, the hunters only hunt rogue vampires but still, the two sides do not get along. What is really great about this story is the vampires, thankfully they don't sparkle but there are some new twists like dreams and why they dream (sorry, I can't give anything away, well, I can but I won't lol).
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

Especially destiny. Can't wait for wait for next part. 5*. Netgalley and victory editing netgalley co-op.
Love Me Deadly is an action packed Vampire delight, with Mystery, intrigue, and excitement.
The story starts with Destiny and Bea going to a party for Enrique. Unbeknown to them Enrique is a Vampire and has taken a liking to Destiny, where he gets he's first taste of her after compelling her to forget. But can Destiny really forget?
Destiny has no clue what she's about to get tangled up in when she meets the mysterious Nataniel at another night out with Bea and her Sister.
After agreeing to go out with Nataniel Destiny's evening ends dramatically as she is involved in a car crash where we learn she hasn't survived.
Destiny's Mum calls on Enrique’s Dad Adan to help save her daughter, the only way Vamps know how. By turning Destiny into a Vampire herself.
As Destiny wakes up she learns of her new transformation along with some secrets her parents have been hiding. Destiny's Mum is actually Adan's Lawyer and is well aware he is a Vampire.
She also learns her new mysterious love interest is actually a Vampire Hunter and they are now forbidden to liaise with each other.
Enrique quickly takes Destiny under he's wing and teaches her all about feeding and compelling.
Enrique takes Destiny to a party where he wants to teach her about feeding on humans who have been consumed with illegal drugs. However this soon takes a turn for the worse when both Enrique and Destiny are drugged and left out cold.
When the finally regain consciousness they realise they are surrounded by a blood bath of mutilated humans. The work of an Elder more powerful Vampire.
They quickly leave the building and Enrique sets it on fire, much to the horror of Destiny.
This is where the story becomes exciting, as it's a race against time to find the killer/ killers and clear their names before something really bad happens to someone they love.
Love me Deadly is much more than your typical Vampire book, the characters are exciting and Della is such a strong female lead. She defies all odds to save her friends and family.
This book contains Friendship, Mystery, Family and Friendship Bonds, its Thrilling, Exciting, a twist on vampires.
I couldn't put the book down. I'm really looking forward to reading the next book.
I highly recommend for all vampire mystery lovers.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book put a unique spin on hunter/vampire lore, throwing in a mystery to keep the pages turning. The mystery was solid enough that I didn’t solve it until the characters did.
Destiny is night owl who begins the story at a club with her BFF. A simple enough party for some famous model, Enrique, turns into a challenge for the vampire/model. Consent, while clarified between the two of them later, is super muddy at this point, and was not something I enjoyed. Circumstances, however, force Destiny to end up being his first vampire made. We get to watch Destiny come to grips with her new reality, filled with a lot of politics that dampened the enjoyment of living forever.
Nat, a bartender she met at the same important party, ends up being on the opposite side of the conflict Destiny finds herself in. Together, however, they really try to do the Romeo/Juliet thing. I can see a love triangle in her future, but we don’t get that delivered just yet. The ending to this book wrapped up most everything, and I’m happy to leave it that way.
A adult read for people who are in to the series recommended highly can't wait for the next one of the series a little slow to start but picks up towards the end
This is the second book I have read by this author. I applaud her for having the discipline to see her projects through, she has written many books. Why did I decide to read another book of hers? I wanted to give her one last chance to win me over. But... sigh... There are some things I am happy about, though. One of those things is that these characters had enough Chapstick and didn't lick their lips whenever they said something, nor did they run their fingers through their hair a whole lot. Big improvement! The same as Different, this story also lacked backstory, character development and a thorough and fleshed out plot.
Not my favorite read, couldn't finish it. I made it to page 191 of 254 (after having skipped MANYYYYY chapters), and I'm not interested in knowing how it ends.
I hate to say it, but I won't be reading any more Alycia Linwood books unless she rewrites them (fleshing out the backstory, character development, and the plot). Like I said about the previous novel of hers that I read: "There's definitely a market for this book, but I won't be part of it."
A normal life, normal friends and a normal family except your mom is a vampires lawyer and his son has the hots for you... What more could you want? The sexy vampire hunter that's been watching you? What do you do when you die in an accident and are turned? Find out here
I really love vampire stories and this one that I recommend if you love vampires and believe in the good as well as the bad ones.Well told story ,with good solid characters. Looking forward to book 2.

I had a feeling I wasn't going to like this book much but it must have intrigued me at some point to have it sitting in my library and I was pleasantly surprised. It has action and is fast paced most of the book. It's investigative too which I really like 😊.
I’m giving up on this one at 20%. It’s too mundane, too tedious to hold my interest. If you’re into celebrity and clubbing, it might work for you. Not for me.
So exciting and different. Not what I was initially expecting when I saw the cover (which is how I pick out what books I think I want to read). I really did love reading this though and I found it to be different than what has been come to be expected from vampires (as in them being mostly alive and not easily told apart because of different defining features). A little bit of romance mixed with mystery and Horror is how I'd classify this book and that just makes it really great. I know it may sound like a bit of an odd combination to most but Alycia really made it work. I've always loved a bit of a Romeo and Juliet type feel to a relationship whether they were romantic or just friendships and this book really pulls that off in its own special way. I can't find fault with the story anywhere and I even love the way that everything is a bit off from how Vampires and the paranormal world is usually portrayed as. This new take is just awesome.
P. S. I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review (meaning... I put in to get a free copy of this book because it looked like something I would end up liking and enjoying reading and I got accepted to get to review it).
Bea and Destiny are college students at a “birthday” party. Bea is very excited to meet the famous model Enrique. Bea is very outgoing, party type of college student. Destiny is the polar opposite, but Bea is her best friend, so what is a girl to do. Destiny is introduced to the supernatural world by accident and then discovers there is so much she doesn’t know. She is not the typical Vampire, she still has most of her humanity and it leads her into many adventures.
Alycia Linwood takes us on a trip into the supernatural, but starts at a very normal time in a young girl’s life. This was a little slow to start, but once it does take off hold onto your hats. I am excited to read more about Destiny, Bea, Enrique and Nathaniel. If you like vampire, hunters, and other supernatural mystery’s you will love this!
Absolutely loved this book! It's been a long time since I've read a really good vampire book, and this exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I received this ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
