Feeling Cam trace those words that were meant for another reminded him that he shouldn’t have Cam either. He should have wrapped her back up in her clothes and sent her on her merry way like he’d done everything else in his life. But he had Cam’s taste on his tongue and her scent embedded in his skull. He didn’t want to be a martyr with her. He wanted to take what she was offering, like a little green-eyed lamb willingly sacrificing itself for a mangy lion so it could survive another day.

Bear stepped back and sat down in the chair behind him, knowing full well that he was about to skip down the rabbit hole with her and there wasn’t anything aside from Cam herself to stop him.
He nodded towards Cam. “Turn around and brace your hands up against the counter.” His voice was commanding, no signs of the lust coursing through his body.
Bear watched Cam smirk and there was an arch in her eyebrow like she was getting ready to defy him and he almost wished she would. She turned around without comment though, doing exactly as he said. She widened her stance making sure Bear got an eyeful of what he was doing to her. He could see the wet spot on her thong and felt his own smile on his lips.

Look at what I’m doing to her and I haven’t even begun to explore her.

Bear leaned in, lightly tracing a path up the back of her legs with his fingertips; loving the way goose bumps broke out against her skin. He reached for the scrap of material and hooked his fingers underneath the thin strips of her thong, slowly pulling it up and over her hips. He left the thong wrapped just above her knees and groaned when he saw how drenched she was and the little piece of jewelry that hung just above her clit.

There are no words that will sum up how freaking good this book is, seriously it was captivating from the first page to the last.

Nicole Banks writing was just brilliant, this is her best work yet. The story flowed easily, the plot twist and all the surprises, had me on edge. The way she brought out the raw emotions mixed with passion was perfect.

Bear this man, his story, his soul and his love. No other character has a hold on me the way he does ❤❤❤

Bear's journey in this book, is one you don't want to miss. The relationship between him and Cam is so damn intense that at times, I was just speechless oh and their chemistry, sweet laaaawwwddd have mercy 🔥🔥🔥🔥 might be best to read in private 😂😂😂

If you have a thing for Mafia stories, bad boys with sweet spot then this book is just what you need!!!!

I have been in love with Bear since first meeting him in Tesoro 😍😍😍. To be able to read his story and get to know him more intimately had made me fall deeper in love with him. Nicole Banks has given someone who's usually in the background so much substance and depth that even though he's not a traditional "good guy" you can't help but love him. Every choice, every action and every decision he has ever made has been to protect those he loves, including a green-eyed beauty who makes him question everything he's ever known... Can't wait to read more of him in Il Re!

I anxiously waited for this release and I was not disappointed! This book was filled with pain, regret, revenge, fear, heartache, passion, hope, endings, beginnings and all the alpha goodness you’d expect.

“Did she not know the same hands that touched her had been the same hands used to extinguish the light from someone else?”

Some heavy subjects were woven into this story. The heaviness and heartache with the loyalty and sacrifice friends make for one another was also present.

“And while I plan to break you, it’s to watch you fly apart in my arms where you belong. I’m going to push you past the point you think you can go.”

I can’t get enough of these characters. Fingers crossed Bishop gets his story next.

Bear is mine alllll mine!

Definitely need to read Tesoro first. I even said to myself while reading Tesoro that I want Bear’s story and gosh darn it I willed it into happening. Well Nicole Banks did all the hard work.

What a ride. A gripping, thrilling and delicious ride. This story was hard to put down. Total page turner. My kindle was about to burn up in my hands it was such a hot read.

Wow! That is all I could think of when I finished this book.

The story of the Delucias family was explored in this part and continues afterwards. Bear and Cam find each other despite both being broken. Still not full of dedication together, but the road to it seems to go better than that of Tommy and Naila (although their story is certainly not over yet!)

Tommy is still at the head of the empire his father built, but he receives an offer from an unexpected source that makes him think he can leave that live behind.
The end of the book is in and in sad. You know it is coming and yet it is unexpected.

I felt the romance that arises between Bear and Cam mainly from the descriptions from Bear's POV. He is so convinced that he is too bad because of his past and his actions that it is good to see that he dares to believe in a future with Cam

Perfectly Imperfect

I don’t even know where to begin with this one! After I finished the first book ( if you haven’t read it you MUST read it first) I was going to move on to another book on my list; but I couldn’t. I couldn’t focus on anything but this series


Bear is absolutely amazing. He is the perfect man. Strong, loyal, sexy, knows how to take care of a woman and buried beneath all of that brute strength is the most amazing man.

He has never put himself first. He has sacrificed and defended his family, foregoing his happiness. Until he meets his Principessa.

This one is going to make you cry, swoon, fall in love and break your heart over and over.

It’s an absolutely beautiful story!

Of course I am diving into the third book, because this amazing author has taken my soul with this one!! She’s an absolutely amazing author!!

This is and was a highly anticipated book.
Bears story needed to be told. We were introduced to his character in Tesoro. These books seem to run along side each other, reading Tesoro first is still a good idea because this is Bears version of events.
Cam cones into Bears life at the worst possible time and yet he can not seem to stay away. But old enemies are out there and he has many considering his line of work.
But the connection is undeniable and unexpected die to the age and maturity differences between the two. Just when you this the drama and excitement is slowing down it rams you in the ribs.

A protector by nature
Read as Bear takes on so much responsibility for not only Cam bit Tommy and Nailia too.
Secrets and misunderstandings may cost him more than his life though

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book is the second in the series and packs a punch. Bear and Cam balance each other very well. They have a story that is full of heartache, danger, drama, risk, lust and love. Cam makes Bear feel again in a good way. He is also adds the darkness that she needs without dimming the light. When danger comes, he knows that he has to protect her from it all. What is not expected are secrets and lies that come out. These two have a lot of chemistry but they have to survive to have any future together. I look forward to the next book in this series

Bear and Cams story starts of where book 1 ends woth some overlapping with a different point of view. The story has you engaged what Cam went through in her past and what Bear is willing to do to accept someone else in his life and keep them safe. But nothings ever plan sailing when your in the mafia. With well developed characters, action, suspense drama, violence, hot scenes and more!

I was thrilled when I discovered there would be a follow up to Tesoro. If you haven’t read anything by Nicole Banks, you definitely should. Orso is a fantastic story and gives us so much insight to Bear. In Tesoro, Bear was the right hand man and I felt like there was much more to his character.

It was great to see how he became who he is and how he was willing to work through his personal demons to be with Cam. Now that I’ve mentioned Cam, I was intrigued by the pieces of backstory we were given. The abusive relationship she was in and how she pulled herself out of it. It was interesting to see how they came together as a couple, and that their dynamic works.

The romance is well written, steamy, and sexy as hell. I’m very much looking forward to future releases!

Strangely enough, I found it hard to get engaged in this story initially even though I had read the first book in the series. Once the story started moving, I found it enjoyable. This story was intense! He was a fascinating creature who I wish was real. The intensity that ran through this story was palpable.
