While Zane is a selfish prick of a man, Lauren isn't the snobby socialite she pretends. He's not about to let Zane get away with one more selfish act. But will he just take care of Lauren's problem? Noah leads a double life upstanding citizen in public and hitman in the shadows. When a contract for Lauren Cartwright comes across his desk he grabs it. While he does his research to determine if Lauren deserves to have the contracted executed, she disappears. Noah is shocked when he meets her in the most unexpected place and discovers she is a sweet, caring loving woman that pretended to be a snobby socialite to benefit her husband. Once Noah meets the real Lauren and discovers the reason behind the contract, he switches into protective mode, while falling heads over heals in love. Now all he has to do is get Lauren to forgive him for being the hitman hired to take her our - not an easy task - especially when she is already dealing with a lying cheating husband.

This is my first time reading anything by this author and I chose to read it due to liking the blurb. The story and the characters are interesting and fun. It’s a quick insta-love story that is ideal for reading over a cuppa.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Rexi Lake; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I really enjoyed Lauren and Noah's story. Love blooms in the most unlikely of places. I would love to see this written as a full length novel, it had so much room for growth.

That was an interesting read. Full of action and twists. And that ending was sweet and hot. Rexi never disappoints.
