A Dog Book Like None Other
Touching, funny, and suspenseful. This book had it all! I was sad to say goodbye to the characters. Especially the sweet boy, Nathan. This is a page turner with unexpected plot twists and so much in it that dog lovers will appreciate. Read it, you won’t be sorry!

This is by far my favorite dog book and this is why. First, it covers something every dog lover wishes for - hope for an older or ailing dog. While this may be a work of fiction, it is impossible to not get caught up in the "what if" mentality. Any time I can think that dogs can live longer, live healthier, or have a marvelous afterlife (as is in another of Mark's amazing books) I am caught up in the story. This is also an underdog story (no pun intended although it works!) because Nathan is just the kid that we all want to root for. His gentle soul, his all encompassing love for dogs, his oneness with nature. He is the perfect hero. To watch his life play out as he matures and finds his own way is just heartwarming! And then this book goes even further and gives us a real thriller story with the battle for who is going to get this amazing miracle out on the market. And what is more important, saving lives or making money? The ultimate battle of corporate greed and the people that just want to do good. And all of this intertwines perfectly up until the end of the book, where everything is wrapped up neatly with a bow on top! This book has everything that keeps me intrigued, makes me feel good, keeps me emotional, and as soon as I read the last word I just want to start over from the beginning! I can't say enough about how much I loved this book and I hope that every dog lover can get as much joy out of it as I did!

Everyone that knows me knows I love animals....and all of nature. I was concerned in the beginning that I couldn't keep up with the characters and which dog belonged to whom, (I read before bed, so my memory of some details gets lost), but those particular details didn't matter in the long run. With this book, I was intrigued and felt the emotions Coni felt for her grandson, and matched them with my own feelings. I was kept wondering what was going to happen next and how everything was going to play out. Each time I got up in the morning, I wanted to read to see what would happen next. As a nature lover, I was pleased with what was found and how everything was orchestrated. The book has highs and lows and as the story unfolds you wonder how it is going to end. Dare I say the ending was surprising on many levels. Each story-line has its own ending wrapped up nicely.

I have enjoyed all the books by Mark J Asher - if you are an animal lover, you will enjoy them too. It's nice light reading with a touch of life, mystery, love and wonder.

Just finished a book called Miracle on Miravasa. Never before have I been moved by a book. I thought this was a "feel good" dog book however it was far more that.
Never before has a book brought me to tears, made me laugh, made me realize how much I HATE human greed, made me realize how lucky we are to have companions that are dedicated to us collectively. Dogs do not judge, they accept us with all our faults and love us anyway. I am afraid I don't know many humans that can say the same thing.
If you like dogs and books that move you emotionally I suggest you look for this one.
