Ryleigh Sullivan has no plans on following through with the next Best Friends Challenge, especially when that challenge includes babies, bottles and back rubs. Well, she’d take the back rubs, but she may be down a husband if Martin doesn’t get it through his sexy head that she’s not ready to be a mother. The more he talks about it, the more she realizes they may never see eye to eye on parenthood. It’s never fun when sex becomes a game of what if. Especially when their marriage has been the best kind of love so far.
***For the best reading experience, it is recommended that the series be read in order.
Once Upon a Baby Series: Embracing Ever After by Sheryl Lister (Book 1) Hopelessly Ever After by Angela Seals (Book 2) Beyond Ever After by Elle Wright (Book 3) Yours Ever After by Sherelle Green (Book 4)
Born and raised in Southeast Michigan near Ann Arbor, Elle learned the importance of reading from her mother. It was also her mother who, later on in her life, gave Elle her first romance novel: Indigo by Beverly Jenkins. From that moment on, Elle became a fan of Ms. Jenkins for life and a lover of all things romance. An old journal she wrote back in college became her first book (which she still wants to publish one day).
Beyond Ever After kicks off with Ryleigh Sullivan and her sexy husband Martin still hot and heavy, enjoying marital bliss. Her best friends are also at it again with their crazy challenges. Quinn has the bright idea to challenge them to get pregnant in the next year.
“The pact” makes Ryleigh and Martin realize there are certain things they didn’t discuss before marriage. Martin is all in. He’s completely loyal to Ryleigh and will do anything for her. Will she do the same for him when it comes to kids? I like how Ms. Wright puts an interesting spin on the issue.
As we know from reading Beyond Forever from the Once upon a Bridesmaid series, Mama Lil (and those blueberry pancakes) are her source of peace. Thankfully, Mama Lil is all-knowing and helps her get to the root cause of her issues. Martin seeks solace with his business partner and dear friend Carter Marshall and his wife Brooklyn. It’s good to get an update on one of my favorite couples from the Wellspring series.
The passion Ryleigh and Martin share is off the charts. However, Ms. Wright highlights that communication is key to a healthy, happy marriage. Beyond after Ever is of course a book about love, and also focuses on important issues. I love the cover theme, and highly recommend it, along with the entire series
Such was the case with Ryleigh and Martin having children although they or rather she willingly accepted her four best friends' Baby Boot Camp Challenge! An earlier selfless act for her professor and his wife during her college years plus fears of being like her unloving parents made Ryleigh decide to never have children of her own! Said decision by Ryleigh almost cost her their marriage until the woman who raised her when her mother either didn't or wouldn't made her face her fears and move to help save her troubled marriage. This story gave a really good look at what can happen in our adult lives when we fail to successfully address the traumas of our childhood! An excellent story Elle and the excerpts for other stories just further whetted my reading appetite!!!
This couple has a special bond, and it has been unbreakable until now. The Baby Boot Camp pales in comparison to the difference of opinion these two embarks on.
Martin is ready to put in the work with Mom and baby when the time comes. Ryleigh has some unresolved issues that caused this couple’s separation. A visit to Rosewood Heights, Mama Lil’s pancakes, and some wisdom give Ryleigh the confidence she needs to close the gap between her and Martin.
This one pulls at your heartstrings and teaches the importance of communication and not letting things fester. I love how Martin knew the right moves to make in supporting his wife.
Ryleigh's in the spotlight of her best friends baby bump boot camp pact. This was a fun read with a serious twist -- interesting from beginning to end. Catching up with friends from other series never disappoints. It was a nice revisit to Wellsprings with Carter & Brooklyn; Blake and the memory of her sister Paityn's, That Ish cream....I'm just saying.. maybe look them up and check them out if you haven't already done so. Although it's not necessary, doing so may enhance this story when reading about some of the aforementioned characters but Ryleigh and Martin's story of this series is great either way.
The baby pact continues. This time it’s Ryleigh and Martin’s turn. Except Ryleigh doesn’t want children. After Martin learns of this, he’s not happy. When Ryleigh shared her truth with him, he couldn’t handle it. Martin had to get away from Ryleigh for a little while. He went to Wellspring, and she ended up back in her hometown. After talking with Mama Lil, Ryleigh finally saw the error of her ways. She went to Martin in Wellspring. She wanted to make things right. I’m so glad they were able to work things out. Great read! Thank you Mrs. Wright for this amazing story. ❤️🔥
So, this is the third book in the series and I tell you, they just keep getting better and better!! Ryleigh had major issues with this last pact, so much so, that it created issues within the marriage. This story was an emotional roller coaster with their love trumping everything! If you haven’t started reading this series, you’re truly missing out!! Kudos, Elle! 💜💜
I really enjoyed reading this book and I know others will enjoy it also! I love this entire series! The main characters in this book was Martin and Ryleigh! Raleigh had some issues that she should have discussed with her husband, maybe before they got married! Things eventually worked itself out, but the time for things to get better took longer than it should have! This is a book that I know everyone will enjoy reading!
I liked the premise of the book and enjoyed it up until the last couple of chapters. It would’ve been nice to see the character’s husband and family truly accept Ryleigh’s choice. I also felt that this series did not honor or respect a woman’s choices or belief systems. This book could’ve been an excellent discussion. As such, it is too formulaic and not satisfying because it took the easy route instead of the more interesting difficult route.
This was a love story about Ryleigh and Martin Sullivan. They have been married a little over four years and madly in love. Raleigh was terrified and opposed to pregnancy. However her relationship with Martin began to suffer due to lack of and refusal to communicate. After almost six months they finally had a heart to heart to resolve their misunderstanding. Finally they got their happily ever after due to positive pregnancy.
Ryleigh is prepared to pay for the next girls' trip, because if there is one thing she is adamant about, it's that she is not having a baby! Her stubborn stand on the issue nearly costs her her marriage to Martin. See how ahe resolves the issue by reading the book! Two thumbs up, Elle Wright!!
Really emotional story. This series gets better with each book. Ryleigh and Martin really tugged at my heartstrings. I loved their story. Could not put this book down. 👍👍👍👍
Ryleigh was a tough nut to crack but Martin was able to do it. Watching them navigate if they were going to become parents was emotional but beautiful as well.
The story was extra short as well as very sweet. The baby pact sounds kind of cool, if it fits the couples. The overall story was cute. It was slow at times but still a good story.
Rayleigh's secret and hurt almost destroyed her marriage. Martin had to dig deep and decide if could get past Rayleigh's secret and live with her decision.
