I was given this book after my father's sudden death. Although it is written from the perspective of a mother losing her son, there is much wisdom imparted to those experiencing death. Duke offers a Christian, and in my opinion, healthy view of moving through grief and I found her musings very helpful in those first few months when life lost all semblance of normal.
Excellent book about loss. She lost her son at the young age of 17. Even though she had her son for many years and I never saw my children. She taught me that loss is loss. It hurts no matter the time. Great Book!
This is better suited to someone new in the process. I found some good quotes to write down but as a "veteran" I didn't get as much out of it as someone just starting the grief work could.
What a fantastic book! This was like a lifeline to me during the very darkest days of my grief and I continue to look back and read passages to help me continue to move forward.
