Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

Another will written murder mystery family and friends relationships adventure thriller short story by Audrey Walker (Shelby Griffin Series book 2). Shelby and Morris are sent too an apartment where a woman 🚺 is dead. She had an allergy to aspirin so why did she take one? They go to the hospital where she has been treated and find her daughter dying. They investigate, finding the truth and making an arrest. I would highly recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of mystery novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶 to Alexa read books 📚. 2023 👒😀😡🏡

Detective Griffin is hot on the tail of the vigilante, I like the way there are two stories in one, a personal side which continues through the series and individual case’s is each book. I really like the characters and we are learning a little more again in this book. Audrey keeps you guessing once again all the way through to the end, I like the detail that’s put in as it makes you imagine the rooms and what’s happening.
Definitely worth reading.

I received a discounted electronic copy of these short police procedural novels, five in all, from the author. Audrey Walker writes a concise, compelling tale peopled with protagonists who are well rounded and very human, and her twists and turns in the plot are credible and well-executed. Taking place in Los Angeles, the joys and pitfalls of that community play into the storyline, are actually another character at play. Each tale is complete in and of itself, with a trailing tidbit leading into the next. The stories would be fine taken one by one, but I found myself binging right on through to the other side. These are crimes that could occur anywhere, and Shelby Griffin and her partner Trevor Morris are members of the Los Angeles Police Department, detectives in the Murder Squad. They work well together, though their personalities would seem to make that impossible. The play as they work together on a crime is smooth and obviously something well-rehearsed. It is a pleasure to observe them working the crime. Aubrey Walker is an author I am pleased to recommend to friends and family.

Shelby Griffin Series Box Set included the first five of these short novels, Sleepless Night, Sleepless Mind, Sleepless Street, Sleepless Hunt, and Sleepless Shelby.

Detectives Griffin and Morris have barely solved the case of who killed the ganger and they're sent to another case. They go to a woman's apartment, who has called 911 on numerous occasions. The EMTs are there, but its too late for Norma, she died of an allergic reaction. The EMTs have seen it all and they're surprised that the police are involved.

The Detectives, find that Norma's daughter is a pharmacist and she works at LA General. Once they get to the hospital, they talk to the nurses about Norma, they find out that she considered the hospital her domain, and the nurses are frustrated that they have to spent more time on hypochondriacs than patients who are very sick.

They finally get to the pharmacy only to find Norma's daughter on the floor. They call for help and while they wait they see a syringe and a note from non other than the Vigilante! Did he kill her? What is he trying to tell us?

Shelby wants to solve the case and catch the Vigilante! Will she?

This was part of a boxed set. Shelby Griffin is a detective for the LAPD. In this boxed set she gets involved with a gang war, a vigilante, someone trying to kill the homeless and a mysterious person trying to take over the city among other crimes. Could this person be pulling all of the strings on all of these crimes or are there others involved? Who is the vigilante and is he trying to help or hurt Shelby? The storylines were intense. It was action-packed with a strong heroine, a likable cast and it got you engaged rooting for Shelby and those involved in working with/helping her solve these crimes. So many twists and turns to keep you guessing. What a gripping thriller that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

In this story, Shelby and her partner are directed to a scene where a dead body was discovered. Once there, it was discovered that this individual was someone who called 911 a great deal. When they went to the hospital mto investigate further, they discovered that this person's had a family member who worked in the pharmacy. When they went to talk with her, they discovered that she was dead. When checking her clothes, they discovered a vial which had a note from the vigilante.

As they looked into it more, they found that a lot of homeless people were getting sick.

To discover what the note referred to, then you must read this book.

Sleepless Mind : Episode 2 is really a terror. You are going to make sure you leave yourself enough time ti read this in one setting. You just aren't going to be able to set it down. Someone has developed an ancient disease and brought it to live with the purpose of killing the homeless. But a virus does not differentiate between the homeless and the wealthy. Hold on to your seat as this one really will catch but surprise. I was hooked from the first page. The descriptions of the land and the horrors that dwell within added so much to the intrigue of the story line. I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the book, This is my true and honest review.

So the second question is who would want to kill tens of thousands of homeless people? Who would want to start a gang war? These two situations are like culling the herd. only the rich and the strong survive. I have no idea if that’s the direction this series is going but it makes me think. Shelby and Morris solved two problems, but did they? Those two situations are a city’s problems all by themselves without having some one add fuel to the fire. On the surface the vigilante seems like a kind and caring person who only wants to help. I guess we’ll see what he’s up to in the next book.

Shelby and her partner can’t get anything out of Jimmy. Then they find a lady dead by anaphylactic shock due to someone forcing aspirin in her mouth. They had to know she was allergic. Then they discover her estranged daughter is a pharmacist in the hospital. They go to see her but find her dead. There is a note in her pocket with Shelby’s name on it the word typhus and a cartoon drawing of the vigilante. Can’t wait to read book 3 in this series.

Vigilante, Hero or Killer?

This is the second book in the Shelby Griffin Mysteries. They are short stories with six to eight chapters in each. While each book reachers it's own conclusion and a suspect is arrested, the person behind the crimes remains free and unnamed. There's also a hero to the public called the Vigilante who remains just a few steps ahead of Shelby and her partner Morrison. Is he a hero or a killer? That's the answer Shelby and Morris want to know.

Sleepless Mind: Episode 2 - a fast paced female detective mystery thriller (Shelby Griffin Series - Season 1) , my seventh read from author Audrey Walker. A 45-page short read. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Strange Intrigue

Shelby and his partner Morris discover that many homeless in LA are getting infected with typhus, but strangely it is an epidemic typhus which means it is somehow being implanted. As the homeless start to die, Shelby realizes a murderer is on the loose. Fascinating read.

Death & an epidemic

Griffin & Morris are called to an unusual death from a frequent flyer at the ER but they uncover a plot to kill thousands by causing an epidemic. Will they find the source? How is the vigilante involved?
A fast paced story, good characters and a glimpse of kindness that throws off your ideas about the vigilante.
Great series, worth a read!

Detective Griffin, the series shows the many sides of her,
as well as the cases she works on in each book.
Taking place in Los Angles, a city she dislikes.
She is fierce, determined, to bring peace.
Good series, with a good cast of characters

Short murder mystery

A lot happening in a short amount of time. Holds your interest and keeps you entertained until the end. I have only one question, no two questions that haven't been answered. I guess that's why they call it a series.

Shelby is now trying to stop an outbreak of a pandemic that could kill thousands. Somebody is trying to spread an ancient disease throughout the towns homeless. The Vigilante is involved again. And the cities richest benefactor plays a part too. He has bought the police new vehicles, new vests and all kinds of equipment. He has pledged thousands to improve the city. So how is he involved with the potential plague? Another fast paced, can be read in one setting episode, mystery as Shelby and Morris track down the clues.
