Jacc is a Replioid, a sentient robotic entity living in the city of Esoterra, where humans are not only thought to be extinct, but their existence hidden behind the will of a figurehead known as Motherboard. When Jacc's centennial year arrives, he is granted a favor by Motherboard like any other Replioid that reaches such a milestone. His desire? To leave behind the gates of Esoterra and explore what wonders lie beyond the city, for he has never traveled beyond it.
However, when Jacc is granted his request, things don't go as he thought they would. Finding himself in a precarious situation, he meets a male creature he never knew could exist: a human named Kahlil. At first, Kahlil is at odds with him, refusing to accept him as a neutral, sentient entity. Over time, though, their relationship blossoms, and Jacc finds himself torn between his own kind and the newfound emotions he has for Kahlil.
Very nicely managed characters, interesting background-world and overally very smoothly arranged relationship. I have really enjoyed it and can't wait to second part to see where the path takes our big robot and small scavenger ;)
