Oh this one had me by the cover. So this one has a lot of mystery going on and unexpected twists and turns. Dani is a college student who has struggled all through her life with an illness. Then you have Charlie, who is her friend and who has feelings for her. Only she is having a hard time trying to wrap her head around the idea of them two. So is he friend zoned for life? Then some strange things are happening around her. She is getting some weird feelings. Can she trust her gut or will her illness effect that? The new guy she meet, what is the deal with the cryptic message he said when he was leaving the store. Then everything just goes crazy. Wfho can you trust? Who is good or evil? So many questions and that hopefully we will get answers to in the next book.

Dark and mysterious! it will hold you until the last page!
Once i started i couldn’t stop! this story was very intriguing and mysterious!There are different POVs from our main leads and one of them i think it might be the antagonist but with that twist at the end im not sure! 😱🙈 I love the chemistry and fast pace! It had some emotional scenes with loss and grieving that gutted me! I look forward to book two! So many questions! This book totally hooked me in from the beginning. This is book 1 and the story does continue with book 2.
Dani is happily living her life and managing her life changing illness. Then the secrets and strange things start to happen, and Dani is trying to deal with a world she doesn't know and unsure of who she can trust.
I read this book in one afternoon, the drip feed of information had me completely hooked, wanting to know what was going on and who could be trusted. There is lots going on and a few little twists.
I need to read book 2, I have so many questions that need answering.

Great Opening to series!
This story had me asking another of questions. Dani didn't know what was going on with her body and her mother didn't tell. Now the mothers gone and she has to find out what is happening to her physically. I know there is a great mystery with Shadow. Charlie is loyal and another mystery. The whole book is filled with mystery and suspense. I can't wait to find the answers in the next book.

Dani is I'll or is she? She lives a quiet life with her mom, taking her meds like the good girl she is. That is until her dog see someone in the woods. Then everything changes. This book is a mystery. I am looking forward to what is revealed in book 2. Until then I will keep my speculations to myself .lol

Hidden abilities
Dani has had her abilities suppressed by her mother. We never get to know why, no backstory on the 2 factions, or any pertinent answers to anything. I'll not read the next when they leave everything open so you have to buy the next book.

Intriguing
This prequel gives just enough information to entice you without giving away any answers. Well written with a good pace and characters that are believable, I'm now fired up to read the series.

This is an amazing book! I absolutely loved it! So much action, intrigue, mystery, and emotion. Dani is a fantastic FMC. I cannot wait for the next book, I’m so excited for more!
