I won this book in a goodreads drawing.

Something of a treatise on how to have a better sex life. Seeks to dispel myths about sex. I found that it was rather PC, and if something fits a little too well into the narrative, I begin to doubt.

I loved this book, it is incredibly helpful. It's easy to read and has some thought-provoking ideas in it. Why don't we teach this kind of sexuality to our kids?! I wish I had read this when I was 18.
That being said, this book is probably not for everybody. It's confronting at times and very explicit about sexuality. If you take yourself very very serious this book probably is not for you.

Provocative and enjoyable read! Binge-read it in a day and had a lot of fun doing so. in particular I enjoyed that it's a book that doesn't shy away from controversy and I particularly liked the sarcastic humour. The linguistic style is not academic or pretentious but more of a conversational style (and so is the inner layout of the book). If you will like how it's written is thus likely a matter of preference. The book also contains a bunch of footnotes and references (hyperlinks in the pdf) which allows for a critical read. In conclusion I found 50 misconceptions of sex a great book for anyone who want's to peek behind the curtain of sex-positive neo-tantra. (Or if you just want advice about unconventionally great sex straight from the horses mouth.)

I won this book via goodreads. I am sad to say that I do not currently, due to...private matters, have the time/attention it would take to read this book and give it the due diligence the author indicates they would like. That being said, I did read the first chapter, or perhaps better to call it the introduction. It was well written, and fully understandable.

I have been following Alexa's work since 2012 and her tantric teachings have completely helped me transform my sex life to a level I didn't think was possible. I'm deeply grateful for that.
This book contains all of her sexual teachings condensed into one handy and comprehensive manual.
In my humble opinion it's a must-read for anyone interested in sex, regardless of their orientation and relationship status.
It's funny, light-hearted and easy to read.
Recommended.

Interesting read

Although this book was an interesting read, I felt quite confused toward the end. I don’t think the section on raising children needed to be included in the book. Although it proved great points, I feel that information would be better included in a separate book. I will say though that I LOVED how the author included links to her research. I found this VERY useful and educational. I’m intrigued to learn more about tantric practice after reading this.
