Fiqa merupakan seorang remaja yang baru sahaja menamatkan pengajiannya dan berpindah ke tempat baharu. Pertemuannya dengan Hafiz dan Hanna telah menginspirasikan dirinya untuk berusaha dan berubah menjadi muslimah yang lebih baik dan sempurna. Namun, kesempurnaan itu bukanlah apa yang disangkakan sebenarnya.

Yes, this is a comic, and yes, it's suitable for all age groups, and yes, it's so good and touches my heart non stop throughout all of it!
The premise centred on dakwah, self improvement, self worth, empathy, as well as perjodohan and boundaries. It's a slice of life new adult, with the theme of religion, friendship and romance on the side!
And massive kudos to the author, because the dakwah in the story felt absolutely genuine and it was woven wonderfully into the storyline!
Ia mengisahkan tentang Fiqa yang baru tamat pengajian dan berpindah ke kampung yang baharu dan mula menemani adik kecil nya ke surau menjelang bulan Ramadan. Di surau dia mula berkenalan dengan Hanna, seorang yang berkeperibadian yang baik dan menjaga agama nya. Bagi mengisi masa lapang, dia mula mengikuti usrah bersama Hanna, dan daripada situ dia mulai merenung kehidupan nya yang sebelum ini dan hatinya terdetik untuk berubah menjadi seorang yang baik dan dihormati, dan Hanna menjadi contoh nya. Sepanjang perjalanan Fiqa cuba mengubah dirinya, dia sering bertembung dengan guru mengaji adiknya, Hafiz. Hatinya mula tertarik, tapi dia menyoal dirinya sendiri: adakah dia layak untuk seseorang yang begitu sempurna? Walaupun dengan perubahan yang ketara, dia merasakan dirinya masih banyak kekurangan dan tak layak.
The storyline itself is simple, but feels absolutely alive with the fun different characters with different karenah surrounding Fiqa and Hafiz at the surau. Walaupun ceritanya befokuskan kepada dakwah, tapi ianya tetap seronok dibaca.
I found that the conflicts faced by the characters were realistic and relatable to most of us in real life. Personally, I can relate closely to Fiqa's journey at bettering herself, it took me back. And I myself too have the tendency to question myself a lot just like Fiqa even until to this day (walaupun saya ni remaja purba), whether regarding ibadah, or perjodohan. There's time when comes her 'acceptance' then her full sincerity towards her ibadah and Allah, as well as her stepping up and voiced out her honest thoughts (especially the one about taubat), it touched me so hard. Her character is just so lovely, raw, yet genuine all at the same time.
And there's also Hafiz and his entire backstory. Throughout the story I genuinely wouldn't guess anything. But seeing how his demeanor is even after everything broke out, he's clearly upset. But this guy is just filled with genuineness and understand and as a reader I can absolutely see where he came from, and it was admiring.
In correlation, I love some of the message being portrayed in the story. Menjadi baik dan keingininan untuk berubah boleh datang tak kira tempat dan masa. Then sometimes the smallest things can inspire us to do and change for the better. Dan takda siapa pun lahir terus sempurna, there's always flaws in us human, but that makes us human, as long as were willing to do better, that's what's all that's matter.
Tapi nak cakap sikit eh, ending buku buku ni tak hormat lansung dekat orang single ya haha! Tapi jujur cakap, the chemistry between the two mains could really be felt despite how they barely talk to one another throughout the book. Their attraction didn't came out of nowhere, but verything was subtle and we can 'see' they cared about one another enough. Dah lah smooth. Comel pun sama, cis.
Just something that bothered me for a bit: It confuses me that Fiqa is supposed to be in teenage years, tapi dah tamat pengajian? Unless there's full courses that offered 1 year full program I'm not aware of haha. I'm not sure if the age were supposed to relate with younger readers, but It'd be nicer if she's actually in her early 20s
Also, this is the 5th edition print of the book, and unfortunately there's a page where the speech bubble were wrongly put on different characters? (It was when Hanna offered herself to throw the bread packaging). But that's all there is!
Overall, suka sangat buku ni and I will surely recommend it around! This book was alsorecommended to me by the publisher itself, and I'm so glad that I actually picked it up.
So, if you like light stories that is light but is moving at the same time, with a pinch of cute romance (?) on the side, and if you like comics too, this certainly is made for you!

Komik dakwah yang menyampaikan mesej yang sangat bermakna dan sesuai untuk semua peringkat umur.
Apa yang Allah perintahkan kita, pasti ada hikmahnya yang tersendiri. Kerana sayang, Allah tegah kita untuk melanggar perintahNya.
Ikhtilat tidak asing lagi dalam ajaran Islam, tapi adakah kita sebagai hamba Allah mampu untuk menuruti perintah Allah dalam menjaga hubungan sesama bukan muhrim?
Moga Allah mengampuni setiap dosa kita. Aamin inshAllah

AHHHH COMELNYA! Fiqa tu berubah jadi orang yang baik macam dia perbaiki diri dia untuk jadi lebih baik. Dia mengenali someone yang perfect huwaaa omey angat. Hafiz tu punya backstory sedih lah yee. Belajar berhijrah dan cuba jadi orang yang lebih baik after kematian ayah dia. They need each other for real

I really like how the writer conveys the message through this comic. The only thing that kinda ick me a little bit is how Hafiz is potrayed as a good muslim man and only shown him wearing jubah though he did wear something else in the end and he might wear jubah because he was going to the mosque however I really hope the mindset of wearing jubah means a good and ‘alim’ person is not what it means in this book. Regardless of that small matter, I really hope more comics like this will be published in the future.☺️

Aku bagi 5 sebab jalan cerita dia memang sedap dilayan. Kalau siapa2 yang teringin nak baca kisah2 cinta islamik yang patuh syariah dan boleh buat kau senyum2 kambing sambil baca, boleh la layan komik ni. Lukisan pun padu.
