I enjoyed all of the stories. They are all intriguing and have unique perspectives.

1. The Night Sun by Zin E. Rocklyn is a disturbing story of abuse with a satisfying end.

2. The Visitor: Kill or Cure by Mark Lawrence is a quick visit to the Wild Cards universe, with memorable characters...especially the one you don't see.

3. Cosmic Crust by Alex Sherman is a wonderfully disturbing story of a devastated society, and I was instantly invested in seeing Lucy getting better. What a way for it to happen...

4. Little Free Library by Naomi Kritzer started like a simple non-fantasy story, but bloomed into something new and interesting. Let's just say the books she puts in her library are very helpful.

5. Go Fish by Ian Rogers went from a murder investigation with psychics to a fantastic encounter, and I must read more stories in this world immediately.

6. An Explorer's Cartography of Already Explored lands by Fran Wilde is a vast, wandering story of a ship's navigator exploring a new world, and getting absorbed in its societies. At least, that's how I read it. Very surreal and dream-like.

7. Of Roses and Kings by Melissa Marr is the Alice in Wonderland follow-up I never knew I needed. As expected, the Red Queen is dangerously unbalanced...but she's also not the original queen. I liked the complex relationship between her and her maid, from the sweet to the sour to the salty.

8. Anything Resembling Love by S. Qiuoyi Lu moved me; a tale about acceptance of one's own and others' differences, in a fantastic way. I really wanted for our heroine to find healing, and liked her roomie.

I suppose if I dug around my mind, I might find something to critique so I don't sound like a fangirl, but I don't want to. This is an anthology I will be reading more than once. Or twice. Or three times...

This is one of the best short story compilations I think Tor.com has ever put together. Each story was so unique and beautifully written. I’ve been a fan of their shorts for many years but this is the first compilation I’ve been able to read cover to cover and be totally immersed in each story. Great reading.
